Google rerouted

I just created a new account for a new user. I did not specify any parental controls related to Safari. However, when Safari is used within the account, it prevents any access to Google, either from the Google box or when I type in www.google.com in the address bar. In both cases Safari is rerouted to Yahooligans. Therefore, I cannot get access to Google from this user's account. This account can access the normal version of Yahoo!, and other accounts will access Google. How can I get the new account to stop rerouting Google searches to Yahooligans?

You appear to already have the Google Toolbar installed. In the View menu select Toolbars, if the Google Toolbar is listed there click on its name to display it.
If you have uninstalled the Google Toolbar, you can re-install it from www.google.com/tools/firefox/

Is there a google toolbar to install for fiefox 3.6. I have one but whenever I try to use it I get rerouted to IE.

I just updated to the FF3.6. I had a previous version that I haven't used in ages because of a image copy and paste issue and the program loaded way too slow. I had a google toolbar on FF before I updated that worked fine. My email is a gmail account. Now when I try to use the toolbar it reroutes me to IE.

I closed the google toolbar thinking if I did that and reopened it it would somehow magically stay in firefox. But I can't find it to add it back on. Is there a google toolbar to download for this version of firefox. It had neat buttons like spell check etc. Now I cannot get to my gmail account either.

Google GPS Questions: Rerouting? Voice?

I used my iPhone for the first time yesterday to navigate to an amusement park and there were a few things I couldn't do such as if I decided to take one highway over some other one, it wouldn't reroute me on the highway I was on, can you set it to do this? Also is there a way to get voice prompts for turns etc?

Neither option is possible at this time.

A1 -- Google Talk (chat) does not work for me

I have not been able to get Google Talk to work on my A1 tablet since I got it. The tablet does almost everything I want it to and I've been able to figure out and fix all the bugs so far except for Google Talk.
When I try to start the app, I immediately get a force close and have no other choices--not even to report. I can't figure it out. Has anyone else had this problem? I appreciate any help.
Also, will your Google Maps continue to work once you've left a WiFi zone? Like if you change course and it needs to reroute?

I turned on Talkback to see if I can reproduce this, I understand that when I turned it on the following cannot be turned on at the same time:
air gesture, aire view, assistant menu, smart screen, interaction control. multi window, turn off all sounds, direct pen input, palm motion and one-handed operation.
In the url bar there is no autocomplete, but if you tap over the suggestions on the newtab page that is below it will read the highlighted suggestion. However for elements in an html page I could not highlight or select the dropdown menu items as well.
Is this an android bug as well?

Google Analytic and .mac: URL address

I want to track my site visits with Google Analytic: I have introduced with MassReplaceIt the HTML script necessary for Google to function in the html files of iWeb 08. When configuring my Analytic account I have given my domain name (site.com) in the URL adress. The site name is subscribed with Godaddy and rerouted to .mac, but Google cannot verify the site, "error message says that script could not be identified on my site pages.".
Which URL should be typed in in order to have Google Analytics to screen my site;

So, from what I am gathering it sounds like that is
just the way it goes:
http://domain name.com/iWeb site name/page name.html
Depends what you mean by "it": The url which people use to get to your site is just http://domain.name.com
What appears in the browser address window when the page is being displayed would normally be
http://domain.name.com/iWebsitename/pagename.html
though its possible your hosting service might have ways to change that, I don't know.
Having your iWebsitename the same as your domain causes a duplication which looks not that great. To avoid this you can change your site name inside IWeb to something more attractive (also best short and without spaces and punctuation), republish, and reupload.

Go to options, advanced options, applications.
Highlight Google maps and select disable compatibility mode.
Edit permission set all to allow. Battery pull, then test it.

Google Analytics & Personal Domain Set Up

Hello,
I want to set up Google Analytics for iWeb. I have a personal domain set up through .mac.
My question is when I log into Google Analytics to sign up it ask for a URL. Which one do I give? My personal one?

If your site is hosted on .Mac then you will find that your personal domain is just rerouted to your .Mac
As nothing will be held on your personal domain there will be nothing for google to search for. You will have to route it to http://web.mac.com/yourusernamehere/ address.
IE; For my website: http://www.jamiejonesphoto.com
I would need to give the URL as: http://web.mac.com/jamie_jones/
But doe the Default Address you will need to give it the full address of what ever your front/home/opening page is. For me that would be: http://web.mac.com/jamie_jones/Site/Home.html

Auto reroute on iOS Maps on iPhone 4?

Trying out the new Apple Maps app on iOS6 on my iPhone 4.
While driving down the road, if I accidentally go off course, maps doesn't do anything to recalculate my route and get me back on track?
How do I get it to reroute if I go off course?

Extremely disappointing. I was expecting that the upgrade to Apple Maps was going to at least offer some sort of improvement over the Google Maps based app we previously had.
This makes iOS Maps an utterly lose/lose situation.
Gotta say, as a former Apple employee, an iPhone owner since the 3GS, the owner of a new iPad and the owner of numerous iPods over the years, even my faith is crumbling and I'm starting to think about ditching Apple for Android.
They aren't making it easy for us loyalists to keep evangelizing the products...

VPN 3005 - Reroute Internet traffic out local connection

We have a VPN 3005 concentrator that connects to our backbone switch. We have about 6 sites who have the following subnet:
site A: 172.16.x.x
site B: 172.17.x.x (etc)
When a user is at home, hotel, or directly connected to the Internet and they connect with the VPN client to our network we want all Internet traffic (cnn, google, etc) to route through their local connection and not through our network through our internal Internet connection. How can I setup the VPN Concentrator to allow all internal traffic and reroute all other traffic out their local Internet connection?

split tunneling needs to be configured on the concentrator.
firstly, create a network list.
go configuration>policy management>traffic management>network lists. then put the private lan ip behind concentrator on to the list.
go configuration>user management>groups>client config
you will see "split tunneling policy" and "split tunneling network list"
with option "split tunneling policy", choose "only tunnel networks on the list". with option "split tunneling network list", choose the network list you just created.

I am using Firefox version 29.0.1
Within the past year I have been forced to move from one ISP to another. (This was an unwanted move. A geographical move from one physical location to another within the same county prevented me from “taking my old provider with me”. I had to sign up with a different ISP.)
My question is in regard to an unwanted action of being redirected to Google which has occurred twice since I changed to my new ISP provider. I need to have you help me understand whether this action was caused by some Firefox setting, which I can change(although I don't see anything related to this in the Firefox “Preferences” choices), or by a default rerouting of my internet request carried out solely on the disgression of my new ISP, which I may not be able to change.
The situation is this: Occasionally one enters an incorrect URL on the location text. When I mistakenly did this with my old internet service provider, an ISP company page came up explaining that they could not connect me with the page as I had entered it. They asked if I would like to be redirected to a particular internet search resource. I was given the disgression to say yes or no.
With my current ISP, today was the second occurrence of being sent directly to Google. I DO NOT WANT to have the incorrect web address which I sent to my ISP passed along to Google. I strongly object to this overriding of my internet privacy. (Today I was using Firefox under Microsoft Windows XP, home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 3, but the other time I was using Firefox under openSUSE Linux, Version 12.3, so I do not think the operating system is a factor.)
Did this action originate with Firefox? Or was it my ISP? Please help me to understand:

How do I get firefox from rerouting or sending me to sites other than the ones I want?

When I try to go to one website, link or webpage- I keep getting rerouted to other sites I didn't ask to go to. It happens with basically every web site including yours when I use firefox but it doesn't happen when I use another browser. I have a Mac running 10.5.8 and my firefox is 16.0.2

You may have some malware on your Mac if you get redirected.

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if the "Use the system proxy settings" setting or one of the others doesn't work properly.

Can no longer enter data in the address bar {url Bar}, it correctly follows data from google search bar. It was a 1 month old installation so not a lot of complications

I was not adding anything to Firefox. I Refused tool bars embedded in several application installs on this new computer. Was working fine. Then had a problem with Google search, restored default values and re-tooled Firefox. At this point all worked fine. Then my url, address bar changed color to the same color as the program shell, a grey brown as opposed to the white it was before. With the change in color it no longer allows me to change the data showing in the bar. I can not delete or add data. I used to add a url and navigate to the domain. Now I can not

TY for the reply, the information was enlightening to be sure. I never knew safe mode was an option with Firefox. I have so many tasks running that I didn't want to shut things down. What I did is turn off some of the last plug-ins I installed. That did not fix the problem at least in the first look. What happened next was very interesting none the less. I had a moment of mouse spastic wrist syndrome and accidentally moved a tab in such a way that it opened in a new window. The URL bar was white and editable. So I moved all my tabs to the new window and everything works as it should. I have restarted Firefox this morning and it came back with the bar editable and I am speechless to understand what I may have done to correct the problem if anything ??

AiO Remote iOS - Google drive convert file automatically

when i scan and upload on my google drive, google drive automatically convert the file in google docs format.
i already disabled the automatic convert in goole drive settings but same issue.
only aio remote - last version on app store installed - has this problem.

I tried to duplicate the issue you're seeing and I can't. Here's what I did... used the AiO Remote app, took a pic of a handwritten note, saved as a PDF, and then shared to my Google Drive. The file type is still a PDF.
What type of files are you working with? Does the extension change happen on everything you send to Google Drive?

Aio Remote: PDFs not recognized by Google drive.

Aio Remote on iPad Air2 iOS 8.1.1 - I created a PDF on my iPad from my HP Envy 7640 using Aio remote app. In the files/document section it's there (3 pages) as a PDF. But when I upload a copy from Aio Remote to Google Drive it's not recognized by Google Drive as a PDF even though it has a PDF extention. I have other PDF files stored in Google drive that are perfectly fine. It must be something in your app that is the problem.

More info: if I send it from Aio remote as an email attachment to myself I get a PDF that I can upload to Google drive and Google drive reconizes it as a PDF. again proving it is Aio remote that is doing some thing wrong when uploading to Google Drive.

Google Play on Tablet works on WIFI not Verizon network.

I have an Motorola Ellipsis Tablet. I am unable to use Google Player. When I open the app, I get "Background data disable. Google play store needs background data to be enabled." I hit enable and It asks me to choose either Facebook or Gmail. I choose my email account and it tries to sync and I get the message "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." Everything works fine when I am on WIFI at home but when I get to work and I'm on the Verizon network it won't work. I can't use Pandora or look at video. Can someone help me figure out why it is not working on the Verizon network? Thanks.

Oh my! Let's get you back to enjoying your device. Some applications depend upon background data (transferring data when not directly in use). Restricting background data may cause those apps to stop functioning unless a Wi-Fi connection is available. To uncheck Restrict background data in the Google Play application, follow the directions in the link http://vz.to/1f5KM7b .
