Google toolbar is messed up with firefox 3.6.12. Cannot install It!

Hello.
I didn't really like Firefox 4 so I have reinstalled v.3.6.12. However after reinstallation, Google Toolbar Search Box was gone! I've removed google toolbar and tried to reinstalling it several times without success. Very annoying!

  • Google toolbar doesn't work with Firefox. How to Fix?

The Google toolbar doesn't work with my current version of Firefox. When I went to update, the Google toolbar was removed and I can't get it back. How do I fix this so I can still use Firefox?

Google needs to update the Google Toolbar program for Firefox 5.0.
The Google Toolbar '''7.1.20110512W''' version does work pretty good in Firefox 5.0 by using the Compatibility Reporter extension. But not every feature works 100%.<br />

  • The Google Toolbar doesn't work with Firefox 5 and all my bookmarks are saved in the toolbar. How do I go back to version 4?

Unfortunately any enhancements that you've made with FF5 don't outweigh the loss of my bookmarks in the Google Toolbar. How do I go back to FF4?

Install the following Add-on until Google releases a new version of their toolbar that is compatible with Firefox 5. Most Add-ons that worked with Firefox 4 should still work with Firefox 5, but the developers need to update a line in their Add-on's code to indicate with which versions of Firefox the Add-on is compatible. The following Add-on adds a "Compatibility" button in your Add-ons > Extensions that you may need to click after installing it and restarting Firefox.

  • Foofle Toolbar is not compatible with Firefox 5. Throughout all the Firefox updates, there has never been this problem. Did you screw up?

Google Toolbar is not compatible with Firefox 5. Throughout all the previous Firefox updates, there has never been this problem. Did you screw up?

I wish it were that but a long time ago when I had a problem with the gadgets with iGoogle back 6 months ago thereabouts I was asked to disable it then and I did and I just went to re-check and it is still not enabled, however, it will not let me un-install it though.. It only gives me an option to enable or disable.. Any advice ? So I'm wondering if it is something else still or is there a problem with the avast still ?
thanks again for your help. Mind you that this all started when blogger went down ..
    take care

  • Google toolbar isn't compatable with 5.0 is there any other auto fill app?

Since the Google toolbar isn't compatible with 5.0 I would like to know if there is another auto-fill app available for Firefox. Are there plans to make the Google toolbar compatible?

Google needs to update the Google Toolbar program for Firefox 5.0.
The Google Toolbar '''7.1.20110512W''' version does work in Firefox 5.0 by using the Compatibility Reporter extension, I tried it myself due to the large number of postings about GTB problems. <br />

  • Told when i updated my firefox 9.1 my yahoo toolbar vanishedhen updating that the yahoo toolbar was not compatible with firefox

got an update alert from firefox to update which i did and saw a window that came up saying that update was succesful but that yahoo toolbar was not compatible with firefox and my yahoo toolbar has vanisehd and not been able to get it back i have mozilla firefox 9.1

Get the latest Yahoo Toolbar as mentioned in the following Yahoo Toolbar User Guide:
    * [http://help.yahoo.com/tutorials/tb8/tb/tb_start2.html]
I have checked and the Yahoo Toolbar works fine in Firefox 9.0.1. Check and tell if its working.

  • Why does my google toolbar not work properly with the new updates. It was such a convenience to use the old toolbar to go to places I had visited before. Now I cannot get those old addresses with anything but Firefox 3.62 or whatever.

Why does Google Toolbar not work with the newer versions of Firefox.

Google have stopped supporting Google Toolbar on the latest versions of Firefox. Apparently one of the reasons for this decision is that modern browsers already tend to support many of the functions that google toolbar provides.
Firefox does allow you to specifically bookmark sites you have chosen, and also automatically remembers many of the sites you visit.

  • Google Toolber does not work with Firefox 4

I just downloaded Firefox 4 and Google Toolbar does not work. I removed and re-downloaded it and it still does not work. I can't even uninstall via the wrench. Is there a version of toolbar that works with Firefox 4?

I am having trouble with the Google search bar. The Google tool bar works fine for me.

  • I had a Google search bar before now with Firefox 5 I have no search bar at all?

I have updated to Firefox 5 and now I have no search bar. I had Google before, but when I tried to download this it said it was not compatible with Firefox 5.
Now I have no search box.

I had this same problem, but you can add the search bar back by going to View > Toolbars > Customize... then somewhere near the bottom of the list of objects you'll find the Search bar that you can then drag onto the navigation bar where you would like it to go.

  • Why is Norton 360 toolbar disabled and incompatible with Firefox?

I recently switched from Internet Explorer to Firefox 26 - I have the most recent updates for both products, but my Norton toolbar will not enable - the add-on extension states it is incompatible with Firefox, even though the Norton site claims it is compatible. The Norton Vulnerability Protection was also disabled, but after checking for updates in the toolbox, it was enabled. Is my Norton working while browsing in Firefox, and when will my Norton toolbar be available?

Norton just released information that they will support FF 27.

I have been struggling with upgrading to FF 27 to get the Norton Toolbar. But I am not wild about the awesome toolbar. But it is better than Google Chrome and IE 9. I have Windows Vista.

  • Norton toolbar no longer compatable with firefox 4. Do I need to go back to IE so I have it working?

Norton toolbar incompatible with Firefox 4. I need to use IE or Safari for my browser since I upgraded. I would prefer to use Firefox but to many things are no longer compatible.

Norton have a history of being slow when it comes to updating their products to work with Firefox updates. Norton have indicated they plan to release an update to Norton 360 to support Firefox 4 in early May, I do not know about other Norton products - http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20100720113635EN&ln=en_US
If you want you can downgrade to Firefox 3.6 pending updates from Norton.
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6.* you can uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install Firefox 3.6.* available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.
