Google Type of Search in i-Procurement

Is it possible to have a Google type of search/dynamic search (not the standard “%” way of searching) in oracle i-Procurement module. When the user enters the key word the system should automatically give the drop down list with the related items. As the users enters more key words in the search field the system should automatically give the relevant search results.

It used to work! Having made NO changes to my system / software but now, suddenly, when I type a search term in Google, I no longer get the option to show just "Images"only link on the left nav with the rest of the options like: View Videos, Books, Blogs etc. Nor the option to select what minimum size image I want to see. How can I restore "type ahead" Search suggestions?

Back in the good old days of Safari 3 (and 4?) it had a useful trick of auto-completing phrases as you started typing in the Google Search field. It stopped working in Safari 5, so I was directed to Glims for Safari, which worked great.
Up until last week, although the Links part of Glims didn't work, the Search Words (i.e. type ahead) did work so I was happy enough. Now it's stopped. I download the latest Glims and now I have the Links working, but not the type ahead Search Words!
In Safari I've changed my New Tab default page from Top Sites to Google UK Home page instead. This loads much quicker than Top Sites and the cursor is in the Search field. Typing anything brings "type ahead search suggestions".
Is this my only option? Anyone know why Glims should suddenly stop doing what it used to?

If you are a Facebook user, you can Like Glims then ask questions directly on their news feed. They will respond.
For Safari, make sure: Prevent search engine from providing suggestions is not selected in Preferences > Privacy
And try this for Safari...
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type of copy/paste: ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari
Click Go then move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

Firefox crashes when I try to search for something using the Google or MSN search engines, but not with other search engines. What causes this and how can i fix this?

I type something into the Google or MSN search engine and as soon as I hit search, Firefox crashes. Hotmail still works fine, as do every other website I have tried, including other search engines. What is the problem?

I got the same issue to and crashes in the same exact manner. Been using IE in the mean time, thought it was just me. I tried reinstalling Firefox and everything, even rolled back windows.

Google tool bar search super slow... due to Safari 4???

so ever since i installed safari 4 my web browsing has been less than pleasant... but i did some research and found how to uninstall safari 4 and reinstall safari 3 using this discussion http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2035320&start=0&tstart=0 using posts from orca_bay (tanks buddy)... (WARNING!!! do not use the terminal method if you are not comfortable with it... one typo will create hours of trouble shooting... i speak from experience hahahhaa)
although moving to safari 3 has resolved most of my problems/personal preference one still exsists... its a minor problem which i have already found a work around for but, i just want my damned safari to work the way it used to... so here is the problem...
problem: using the google search tool bar in safari is suuuuuuper slow!!! new searches always time-out and if re-entered take at least 10 seconds to return a result... i know its minor but super annoying... i am wondering if there is a way to reset the way the tool bar accesses the site??? idk anything would help...
*here is the work around i found:* don't use the google toolbar for search... if i go to google.com and perform a search it works just fine...

There are a few things you can try:
Add DNS server codes to your Network panel. Inefficient codes from your Internet Provider (usually these guys are PC oriented) can slow Safari down. Here's how to do it in Tiger:
Go to the System Preferences>Network panel
-Location - set up a personal location by clicking on the location drop down menu and selecting "add a location". Use a name familiar to you. Once established, select "apply".
-Next, click on the "Show" drop down menu and select Network Port Configurations. Depending on whether you use Ethernet or Airport (wireless) for your setup: check the one you use and move it to the top of the list (you can drag it). Select "apply". Everything else ought to be unchecked unless you use a Bluetooth device.
-Back to the "Show" menu, select either "Ethernet" or "Airport" (whichever applies to you). Click on the TCP panel. There, enter (copy/paste on separate lines) 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 in the DNS servers box - these are Opensource DNS codes and select "apply".
Next step: Trashing cache and history type files:
In the Finder: Your User Account>Library:
Caches>move the Safari folder to the trash
Caches>Metadata>move the Safari folder to the trash
Safari folder: move the History.plist file to the trash
Restart Safari. Let me know if that speeds things up, especially eliminating the lag in Google Search.
I have found Safari 4.0.1 to be very fast, especially after using the above DNS codes, and making sure any 3rd party add-ons were up-to-date.

How do I make google my default search engine instead of inbox search engine?

Google was my search engine anytime I would type just keywords into the line where you type web addresses. However, I somehow must have uploaded a new search engine called 'Inbox', which I don't care for, and now I have to type keywords into the search to the right of the screen to use google. I would like to make google my permanent search engine when using Firefox. Any suggestions? I thought I had already deleted the inbox toolbar, but it didn't change my search engine. I am not so computer savvy so...

I had this problem to, drove me insane for weeks. Eventually i found out how to solve the problem though:
1. Open a new tab and in the address bar, type in "about:config" (without the quotations)
2. A little warning pops up, just press ok and move on.
3. In the filter search type in "inbox" (without the quotations)
4. Right-click on any of the results that pop-up and click reset.
That solved the problem for me, and hopefully it will for you as well.

hi i m very basic HTML designer and have created a site for a
friend's disabilty organisation, they wanted google site and web
search on their home page for their clients to use when using their
free internet facilities at their disability shop.
But i ve pulled my hair and scrouge my eyes out trying to

in the website world hard to hack ( am deaf so english not my first

We are working on ATG 10.2 with Endeca 3.1.2 integration and are exploring different ways of type ahead searches. The required functionality is to achieve similar suggestions like google search from the catalog data. The Endeca Experience Manager out of box has cartridges which query dimension search for this feature, apart from these do we have any other endeca specific APIs to achieve the same functionality.

I Downloaded something onto my computer and now when I click onto safari yahoo pops up instead of top sites I know certain changes come along with downloading but if there is a way back to top sites and google as my search engine I need it!! Why does using Google in the search bar (and only Google) not let me open search results in the same tab?

Hello,
When I use Google in the search bar, I have to open the search results in a new tab. If I simply click on them to open in the current tab, I'm inevitably redirected right back to the main Google site. This has only started happening in the past month or two -- I'm considering switching to Chrome after 5 years with Firefox because of this. Please help! It's incredibly frustrating to consistently have to remind myself to open all search results in a new tab. It's quite a waste of time over the course of a day.
Here are the basic steps:
1) I do a search using Google in the search bar.
2) As is supposed to happen, the search returns results in the current tab.
3) When I click on a result link, I'm immediately sent back to www.google.com.
4) If I hit back to try to return to the search results, I'm taken to the page that was loaded BEFORE I even did the search.
5) If, and only if, I instead right-click or Mouse3 click on the search results and open them in a new tab, I can successfully go to the search result pages.
