Google, Yahoo searches come back " Invalid Security Code" msgs?
Now when I do a Firefox Search (whether Google, Yahoo, etc), I get a "Invalid Security Code" / "Issuer Certificate is unknown" error message train. I can't understand why these sites would produce this result but am afraid to override the error message worrying about some kind of malware interference problem.
hello, a possible solution depends on different factors:
* what is the '''error code''' shown under ''technical details'' on the error page?
in case the error code equals ''sec_error_unknown_issuer'', please attempt to add an exception on the bottom of the error page (don't add it for real though) & inspect the certificate like shown in the screenshot
* which '''issuer information''' does the certificate contain?

Is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorisations have the correct information on file.
And/or try contacting iTunes support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

New iphone 5, Invalid Security Code - frustration !
I have been buying itunes apps and music for close to 9 years with my visa card. Today, after getting a new iphone 5 last week I bought my first game. That is, I tried to and entered a nightmare. I get a warning for invalid security code, and when I want to give an answer to my security questions it won't let me. I called apple support, and I can't find a way to enter a new credit card or any card. I used to pay with paypal connected to my bankaccount. Now all of a sudden it tells me that iphone 5 does not support paypal anymore.
I can not find how to change my security code questions, nor can apple support. They can't get into my account because the security code on the back of my card is not matched. Tried with several different cards (which I don't really want to do - I want to continue to pay itunes stuff with paypal like I have done for the last 9 years).
The apple rep will call me back next week, so for now I can not buy any app nor music on my phone... I can work around it and buy via itunes, but that is not what I want. I want to buy stuff wherever I am, that is why I got an iphone after all, to use wifi and be able to buy stuff on the move.
It looks like there is a giant bug in IO6 that has to do with paypal, credit cards or debit cards. I do have enough money in my account...
I do not understand why all of a sudden I need to give in security answers to questions that I never saw before and therefore also don't know what answers to give. The answers I give are the truth but they come back as wrong.
My visa card comes back with an unmatchable security code on the back with the card number on the front.
What is going on with visa cards and apple IOS6????
Also, as long as the apple rep can not pair the card, there is no way to change the security questions, and as I can not give the right answers to the security questions they can not get into my account to change a thing.
If they can not verify that I am the person who I say I am they can't do a thing...

Try setting the payment option to None, save it then enter a good CC number. -
When I tried updating my apps it says invalid security code for my credit card.
Basically when I try updating an app it says to login. Ok say once I log in it makes me update billing info. When I put my cc info in (which has a 0$ balance) it says invalid security code. This is complete ********, I can't even download FREE apps OR update the ones I have. Im considering going back to android. This is ridiculous.
you cannot place a card on the account that has no balance to it...
you can hit the "None" option if you owe nothing to the itunes store

I want to download watsapp messenger to my iPhone 3GS but when i proceed to buy app option in App store it shows that your payment method is declined.
Again when i update my payment information it shows invalid security code while all info is correct.Remove your credit card details from your account then re-enter them.
If that doesn't work you could try contacting iTunes Support: go to https://expresslane.apple.com ; select 'iTunes' in the first column and then 'iTunes Store' in the second column. In the third column click 'Purchases, Billing & Redemption' and proceed from there. -
Invalid Security Code/Being charged and not receiving app.
Well, This just started happening after I downloaded the new version of iTunes. I needed to change my billing info, just like it seems everyone else has been doing and getting the same problem I have "invalid security code", You know the nice little 3 digit number on the back of the card? Yea, well I had used this card with iTunes once before and it worked perfectly, it is a pioneer debit mastercard. Now, the thing thats ******* me of really bad is (no, not that its not accepting the security code) I've been charged for buying an app I have yet to receive. So this is telling me there is a flaw in the programming some where, to be told by the program that my security code is wrong while at the same time deducting money from my account and not providing me the application.

Really? It is showing up in your iTunes purchase history?
Or is there simply a $1 hold showing up on your card, to verify the account is good?
iTunes does this whenever you enter new card. The hold will be removed usually within 24 hours. -

Changed bank card. Got charged $24.99 from iTunes for a prior purchase that would not go thru due to invalid security code. When put new information on iTunes payment . iTunes charged my account without me confirming order and I didn't even receive the zoo buck 50% sale special. They just took my money . Now I can't connect to iTunes Store because they are fixing problems. What can I do to get my money . Can't even reach tiny zoo who gets the money. iTunes should of sent a confirmation request when new card was submitted before taking money.
Thanks, but I've been on the phone with AppleCare US (where I am and live) and AppleCare UK. They continue bouncing me back and forth without helping resolve the problem.
Perhaps someones knows how to further escalate the issue at Apple? -

It could be for varoius reasons you can not see yourself. Contact iTS to check into it.

The 'invalid security code' error you are receiving doesnt necessarily mean you have entered your security code wrongly. It's hard to make a mistake if youre only typing in 3-4 digits. It may either be an issue with your bank, or an incorrectly formatted billing address. You can either contact your bank for details why yor card was rejected, or go to the Apple ID website (http://appleid.apple.com) to see if you entered your billing address correctly.
NOTE! If you have a U.S. billing address, you have to make sure the address on your account matches EXACTLY what the U.S. Postal Services has. You can get the EXACT CORRECT FORMAT here: (http://zip4.usps.com). Type in your billing address, and USPS will show you the correct one.
