Gopro Hero 4 connected only in airplane mode
I use GoPro app version 2.6.2 to connect my GoPro Hero 4 black.
I had a problem to connect my camera to my iPhone. The GoPro support ask me to switch my iPhone to airplane mode and try to connect the camera. I did it and the camera and my iPhone was connected.
The GoPro team told me that It seems that the reason I am having problem connecting to the camera in normal mode is because is there an interference , cause by my phone.
My iPhone runs on iOs 8.1.
I would appreciate any suggestion for this problem
You have a solution. When you are done with the GoPro, simply turn off airplane mode and be happy.

There is no output from that command line? Maybe the pid changed.
I'll repeat what I am trying to find out...
1. You do a pmset -g on the terminal.
2. The output from that pmset should have a line that says "sleep 0 (imposed by n)" where n is some number.
3. The ps ax | grep n is supposed to display what the process associated with n is.
It's the output from step 3 that should indicate what is causing you not to sleep.
But speaking of sleep, that's where I am going. -
Motorola Razr M - Airplane Mode Issue
My business requires me to go into bldgs without cell reception. With this Razr, after 15 minutes without reception, it tuns on Airplane mode. I don't get vmail or know if I missed calls. My Verizon store did not have a solution. I checked apps in the Play store and most seem to only turn airplane mode on ata certain times. I want to disable it altogether.
Anyone have a soluton. I don't want to wait until my contract is over to find a different phone. p.s. Does anyone know of another Smartphone that doesn't auto turnon Airplane mode?

Power consumption in Connected Standby Mode too high with no obvious cause even in airplane mode
My Windows 8.1 tablet is draining at a rate of about 3% per hour or 833mW drain while in connected standby mode.
I have muted the sound and set the system to airplane mode, but still receive 3% drain per hour.
The PEP PRE-VETO rate and COUNT are 0. The DRIPS Histopgram has 100% at 32s. The top 5 offenders are all green with 0% active time.
The only value I am unsure about is IR TRUNCATE PERCENTAGE which on Microsoft's examples is always 0, but on my device it is 91% or higher. What does this mean?
Also is there anyway to find out why even though the sleepstudy looks fine I am getting such a high battery drain even with everything off in airplane mode?Hi Tesmond
We might need more details about your device such as mode and Manufacturers.
And please keep your system, device driver and firmware up to date for good measure.
I think you are using sleep study to trace power usage. I didn’t found any information about IR TRUNCATE PERCENTAGE. I am supposing IR stand for Infrared. So we suggest you check if these is infrared port/connection device on your tablet.
Also confirm this issue with manufacturers to check if it is known issue caused by firmware or device driver.

IPhone 5 (iOS 7.0.4) location and airplane mode bug - kills data cellular connection
So I swapped out my 5 to apple for a 5 with a working power button, and now I have all kinds of issues..
if the phone is put to airplane mode then taken off airplane mode, cellular will not connect (searching..., NO SERVICE, etc.)
if you want to use any kind of location service, once you approve the use of that location service, it also kills the cellular connection.
the only location service that doesn't kill the signal is weather, all else wipes out the connection.
anyone else noticed this bug?
This replacement iPhone is the ATT-Tmo compatible new refurb version, which I intend to swap to apple for a standard ATT version.I concur with your suggestion. Not sure why they replaced the phone as they did, since replacement devices are supposed to be in kind. In otherwords, they give you back what you bring in. I've never seen this issue where turning on location services turns off cellular. I would take it in as soon as possible.
You never said, were you trying to use this on AT&T? Did it activate correctly? -
Push Notifications only work in Airplane Mode + Wifi
I have a problem with my push notifications. They only work exactly when I have my phone in Airplane Mode and with Wifi enabled. Here are the details of my phone:
Phone: iPhone 3GS
OS: 3.1.2, NOT jailbroken, NOT unlocked
Activation: Not Hacktivated
Data: "Unlimited Mobile Browsing" - others report that they are able to get Push notifications through this connection on my cell phone provider
Push Notifications: Do not work when not in Airplane Mode
I have search the internet for countless hours for a solution and although I have discovered some threads where people have the same problem, no solution was provided.

ThanksIt could be there's not enough signal for the push notifications to come through. I hardly get them on the 3G network due to having 3 bars or 4 bars. Also doesn't work good indoors. When I have 5 bars, I'll be able to receive them.
It could be a network issue to speak with the carrier or "Mark the Spot" app as no coverage/no data if you have AT&T. It could also be Apple's Push Notification Service having problems while they update their service to have Push and Local separated. -
I cannot activate my iCloud backup of my 4S iPhone, even though I have definitely deactivated Airplane mode, and am connected to Wi-Fi. I also have a correct Apple/iCloud ID and password.
Should I delete my iCloud account and set up a new one??

To troubleshoot your problem with backing up to iCloud, this may be caused by a corrupt existing backup that needs to be deleted, or by data on your iPad that is preventing the backup from succeeding. To troubleshoot these, try deleting your last iCloud backup (if you have one) by turning off iCloud Backup in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage, swipe across your backup and tap Delete, then go back and turn iCloud Backup back on and try backing up again.
If it still won't back up, you may have an app that is preventing the backup from succeeding. To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again. If it succeeds, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is preventing the backup and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again. If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again. If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails. Eventually you'll be able to locate the problem app and exclude it from your backup. -
iphone 4 is not recognized by itunes and is only on emergency mode, keeps telling me to connect to itunes but when I connect iphone to computer it does not recognize it
Did you try recovery mode? Hold down the home button as you connect it to iTunes. iTunes should pop up a window that says "iTunes has detected a device in recovery mode" and give you the option to restore.

I backed up my iPhone 3GS to iCloud. Activated my iPhone 5 and restored it from iCloud. But iPhone 5 will not backup to iCloud, only to my MacBook. When I try to turn it on on the phone it gives me an error that I must turn on Wi-Fi or turn off Airplane mode. Wi-Fi is on an the phone is talking to the internet just fine and airplane mode is off, but I still get the error. Is this a known problem?
You mean take the cover off of the iPhone, to look inside? I'd recommend against it. Even with warranty expired, you might qualify for an out-of-warranty service, which for 3GS is $149.
Other than that, any repair/service options are going to cost money. You might want to see if a wireless carrier will let you get a new contract & phone.
Out of curiousity, you're just using at as, basically, an iPod Touch, if there's no cell provider? Did I understand that correctly? -
My iMac suddenly no longer connects to wifi network when in KIOSK (username) mode, and only connects when as ADMINISTRATOR mode. Its strange because the iMac has been working fine in KIOSK mode for over a year until 2 days ago.

Although there is one little thing that I've noticed. The iMac works properly, but I tried to software update to see if that may help my Minecraft sound issue (as I still don't think only having 2GB instead of 4GB would cause such a problem) but the software update application won't work. Running the "Software Update" from the apple menu on the toolbar gains no response, nothing happens. If I run the software update from system preferences, the application icon appears for a second, then disappears (as in the blank app. icon, the blank canvas with the pencil, pen and ruler in the bottom right corner). It does this every time I try to run it. It did work when the computer was crashing, but this started when on one of the occasions I ran the app. while it was crashing. Since this occured during the crashes, and still occurs now, I'm wondering did something simlar happen minecraft, as it's sound disappeared during the crashes and is still gone now.
However, the computer is now working again without crashes, which is the main thing, thanks for helping me fix the issue

No. That is a software switch, and could only be activated/deactivated from the screen. I suggest you make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple store to see about getting the device repaired. Many of the Apple Stores are now equipped to repair/replace screens in house. I had one replaced today for my daughter's iPhone 5c in the US and the cost was $129.00 plus tax.

Windows 8 Airplane Mode Greyed--Can't turn off, can't connect.
My three week old X230 lost the ability to connect to my wifi router. I can pull up the airplane mode toggle with Fn+F5, but there is no response. I have done a factory reset, installed all Lenovo and Windows updates, uninstalled/reinstalled the intel wifi drivers. The lenovo utilities tells me the radio isn't turned on, but I can't figure out how to turn it on other than the usual ways, but they don't work. All is well in the hardware manager. I have reset the bios to default settings. I updated the bios to 2.06 when I first got the machine, and it ran fine. I can connect via a network cable. help! Thanks

Can't connect to wifi in airplane mode
Hey all, I am abroad, so have airplane mode on, and am trying to use wifi. Under settings, my Iphone seems connected to the right network. When I open Safari & put in username & pwd, Safari just freezes. I tried Debug Console & got two errors:

My iPhone 4S currently only downloads emails dated through 1/20/14 and today is 2/20/14. I deleted the email account and added it again, I reset my iPhone and I turned Airplane Mode on and off, but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?
Are you saying it's not getting any email from AFTER 1/20/14, or are you saying you're only seeing mail FROM 1/20/14 to now?
