  • Can't open documents (doc, pdf, ppt..) attached to e-mail

After updated to iOS5, I can't open any documents (doc, ppt, and pdf) which are attached to e-mail.

Do you have a word processing app on your ipad? Like Documents to go, Pages, Keynote or some such? Without one of those I do not believe the iPad can open document files. If it's something you could do before iOS5 and can't do now it's possible that your word processing program isn't iOS5 compatible and the app creators need to update their product.

In the email you want to print, on the top right there is an arrow. Click that and an option should appear that says print. That should work. Have you already tried that?

    Hi,
You can try with the Generic Object Services Toolbar in the title bar. This toolbar has the functionality to attach the files for the document.

  • Can we send the documents in oracle portal as attachment to a mail ?

    Hi,
Our Client using Oracle APPlication Server Portal 10.1.2 for data management and employee portal purpose.
our users used to attach or store the files/documents in Portal i.e. like a file item.
They want to send some selected files/documents as attachments to a group of people via email
Is there any possiblity to achieve this please let me know.
    Regards,
    Rajesh

    Hi Rajesh,
If you are just have one email procedure which you want to use to send files from both your desktop and from the Portal repository, you could consider to connect the Portal repository to your desktop through WebDAV. I assume however that you are looking for a sort of 'Email This' button next to file items.
I have not programmed this before but I guess you can do this with a custom item based on file item. Add an attribute based on PL/SQL which will do the email for you. The PL/SQL procedure in the custom attribute can use wwsbr_all_items view to retrieve the content of the item and send it with utl_smtp. Easier said than done - have not programmed it myself. But then, I am not a programmer, so I reckon Portal developers on this forum would be able to help.

  • How to create a pdf for the URL attached to an invoice and send it as an attachment in a mail

    HI,
I have requirement where i need to get the URL attached to an invoice, create the pdf and send as an attachement in a mail.
The URL attached to an invoice can be seen by following the path : VF03-> Billing document->system->Services for object ->Attachement list.
On searching through existing forums, i found that there is a table 'SRGBTBREL' which stores relationships of GOS object. On giving the invoice number in field 'INSTID_A', i could find an entry in this table.
To get the content, i used the class CL_FITV_GOS, method GET_CONTENT. To this method i passed following values:
IV_ATTA_ID = FOL21000000000521URL39000000000012 (The value if field INSTID_B from table SRGBTBREL)
    IV_OBJTP   = 'URL'
On execution, i get URL link but the content table is empty.
Could anybody provide some input on how i get the content? Or may be how i can create pdf from the URL link and attach it to mail as an attachment?
    Thanks,

    Hi Amit,
Solution provided by you is working when the link length is one line but it is not working for more than one line
Eg: say link is https://......80 [80 characters long]
I will give    <a href="https://...72            [in first line]
                     73..80">click here</a>         [in second line]
I will get the output as 73...80">click here
But i want only CLICK HERE in my output..
    Please suggest solution.
    Thanks,
    Kavya

  • Smartform - PDF attachment through E-mail issue

    Hi,
A custom form and custom program was created to print the Purchase order information through ME21N, 22n and 23n.
It also has E-mail option. when output medium 5(Simple mail) and 7(External send), email will be send to respective mail-id's with the PDF attachment.
I have issue at the time of saving PO which processed with medium 5. when i save A popup appears "Express document update was terminated received from author". Brief message about it is
    "Error Info... 00 671: ABAP/4 processor: COMMIT_IN_POSTING"
In Smartform driver program i am using below function modules to convert OTF into PDF and send through e-mail.
    Function Module: CONVERT_OTF.
    Function Module: SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1.
I am not sure, what i missed out. Can you guys tell is this the correct way to send PDF attachment through E-mail or i missed out any function module for commit.

  • Cannot print e-mails or attachments

Having issue printing e-mails and attachments. It is not a printer problem as I ran HP printer diagnostics and it says everything is working fine. Everytime I try to print an attachment I am taken to a blank page. Any ideas? HP Printer Forum says it is a computer issue.

    Hi,
I've got few posts for a same question and you have not answered my questions before opening another post. Now my questions:
    1. Can you print normal documents ?
    2. Can you view email attachments on SCREEN properly ?
    3. What is/are the format of the attached document(s) ?
    4. Can you SAVE attachment(s) and print ?
    Regards.

  • Print Option Mail PDF

Selecting the Mail PDF option in Print brings up the attachment 'Loading ...... (..kb). If this is sent the recepient can't open the file. Why does Mail read 'Loading the file?' and what can be done to correct.
If the file is saved as a PDF file and then attached to a Mail email there are no problems.

    No, no Adobe Reader here.
I did find an interesting workaround:
Make an alias to the Mail application
Put the alias in ~/Library/PDF Services
    Give it a catchy name
It then shows up in the print dialog's PDF menu (along with the "Mail PDF" workflow) and performs essentially the same function, but without the annoying fail. A side effect (a bonus to me, for arcane reasons) is that the mail message defaults to plain text -- the standard workflow creates a rich text document.

  • How can I attach j-pegs and other documents to an email unopened and stop each them taking up a whole page of my email ?

How can I attach j-pegs and other documents to an email unopened and stop each them taking up a whole page of my email ?

In addition to the last poster's suggestion  -  just so you know, it also depends on the email program the recipient uses as to how they will see any attachments - for instance, when I am using my Yahoo Mail, I am absolutely unable to view any attachment within the browser window - Yahoo forces me to download it; there is no way for me to check it (like a preview) to see if I want to download it or not.
And, FWIW: the window shown in the screenshot does not show on my version of Mail 5.1 (which is the latest for 10.7.2); the only one similar shows when viewing a message received with an attachment, not while sending one. So that must be a different version.

  • How to open a pdf attachment in imac mail

I am unable to open a PDF attachment in Mac Mail. There is not a PDF Icon in the email message. Is there a setting that should be checked?
I have a new iMac (less than a month old) with Mountain Lion.
Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It is an actual PDF that is an attachment to an email. There is not a link to click on to open the attachment.
The attachment is a statement that I normally open, then print..
What I am seeing on the monitor is the heading portion of the email with the statement image, all on one page..It prints exactly as seen on the screen.
I have checked my Mail>Preferences>Viewing Tab."Display remote images in HTML" messages is checked..
    Thanks for the help.

  • Print to windows attached printer

    Hi!
I am facing a "small" problem here in my home lan. I have to computers connected. One is running Windows XP and has attached an Epson Stylous C60 printer. The other is running redhat 9 (2.4.8-20smp)
I have managed to make thw two boxes "talk" via samba.
    $ rpm -q samba
    samba-2.2.7a-7.9.0
I can read/write from one box to another without problem. The windows can see the linux through the lan and the linux can see the windous after mounting the share. But the thing I cannot do is print from linux to the windows attached printer.
First of all I checked if the printer is supported redhat and I found out that it is.
    http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_p...pson-Stylus_C60
So this eliminates the obvious question: Can you print with this printer from linux in the first place?
I've read many things about how to print to windows, like
    http://www.idevelopment.info/data/U...tLinuxSMB.shtml
    http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/...mb-printer.html
as well as many stuff from google search But there is no way I can solve my problem. I follow the instructions but still I can't print
    I also tried cups
    $ rpm -q cups
    cups-1.1.17-13
But there too I faced the same proble.
Can someone help me out here because I need that printer. I attach my smb.conf file. Any other information I will be standing by to submit.
    # This is the main Samba configuration file. You should read the
    # smb.conf(5) manual page in order to understand the options listed
    # here. Samba has a huge number of configurable options (perhaps too
    # many!) most of which are not shown in this example
    # Any line which starts with a ; (semi-colon) or a # (hash)
