GOS / TOA01 & ArchiveLink

Hi,
I would like to add my own entries in the GOS, save the file saved with this link in a specific place using the TOA01 table.
so... what I have done
-> Trans. SWO1 create my own entries
-> Trans. OAC2 : create my doc type : ZBA_CC link to PDF file format
-> Trans. OAC3 : create the entrie : object type ZLO_BACC,  doc type ZBA_CC, id ref. Z1 and the link TOA01
-> SM30 on SGOSATTR : Service name ZLO_BACC, class : CL_GOS_SRV_ATTACHMENT_CREATE
When I go in MSC3n, I see the new entries in the GOS
When I click the entry, nothing is added in the TOA01  table, I can't see the file in the list of attachment file.
Anyone already made this kind of stuff ?
Best regards
Fred

Now I could save the file, I see it in the list of attachment file.
--> I have forget the checkbox : commit in the table SGOSATTR
now, my big problem, is : I would like to save in a specific place (logical directory : trans. FILE)
I have set an entry in the table CREP ..
but nothing in the directory
nothing in the table TOA01

    Hi
I have created a content repository (OAC0), document type and had linked the doc n content rep with an SAP business object.
I am able to attach documents to business object using archive link feature.
If I attach more than one documents to an SAP business object, for same document type, all the documents are displayed with same name in the attachment list.
Is there any way by which I can show the original document name as selected by user?

  • Sales order attachments (e.g. Customer PO attached to sales order) interfac

    Dear Experts,
I am trying to find the solution on how can we interface the Attachments documents (e.g. customer PO in PDF format) attached to sales order (Via services for object) to webportal?
I know how to attach the documents using GOS. But not through DMS. Even in any of these options, not sure where the attachments are stored and can extract it to pass on to webportl.
Kindly help. I have searched the forum and google, but did not find anything solution.
    Thanks,Krishna.

    Hi Murari,
You can attach documents through Services for Object (GOS) Using Archivelink functionality.
Generall Incoming documents ( Documents received by Company as part of transaction such as Invoices, Delivery challans, Cutomer PO which come in form of hard copies) are stored using SAP ARchivelink.

  • Generic Object Services (GOS) + ArchiveLink against IXOS.

    Hi all,
I'm currently working on a project where I'm supposed to extend the Generic Object Services (GOS) Icon with a menu item for storing documents down to IXOS through ArchiveLink, and a functionality for retrieving them / attaching them to an email.
So far, I concluded that I need to create a class, whose superclass is CL_GOS_SERVICE, and at least override the EXECUTE() method with some functionality.
The ARCHIVOBJECT function group contains some (probably)
    useful function modules - like ARCHIVOBJECT_CREATE_FILE and ARCHIVOBJECT_GET_BYTES / ARCHIVOBJECT_GET_TABLE.
My problem so far is that I don't see the "connection",
    ARCHIVOBJECT_CREATE_FILE takes ARCHIV_ID, DOCUMENT_TYPE
and PATH as arguments (parameters), and returns ARCHIV_DOC_ID - an unique ID to the stored document
But how is the link between the archived document and the business object (i.e. the current object of the transaction I'm in) maintained?
    Thanks in advance,
    regards,
    Lars Wilhelmsen

    Hi again,
Thanks for the answers, they were very helpful,
but the customer isn't happy with the "Store business Documents" and it's Drag n' drop interface.
I'm to develop a new GOS menu item, that will show
a normal Open File dialog, and a following popup
where the user can change the document title shown
    in the Attachment list.
    ARCHIVOBJECT_CREATE_FILE and ARCHIVOBJECT_GET_TABLE
    along with ARCHIV_CONNECTION_INSERT should probably
    cover the functionality I need.
I know both the BOR type ID and the object ID is
available to me in the Execute() method of the GOS menu handler I'm overriding, but for the ARCHIV_CONNECTION_INSERT, I'm supposed to supply an AR_OBJECT parameter (I know that this information is stored in the TOAOM table), but I have no clue where to get this information for the current object I'm trying to add an attachment for.

    Lars Wilhelmsen

  • Update of TOA01 for ArchiveLink

    Hello,
We are changing an implementation of ArchiveLink using 'Early' archiving to 'Late' achiving.  This has caused a change to the workflow.
In the new process, the implementation of the SAP RFC interface for archiving is called with an IDOC number.  After archiving the file/document we then want to update SAP's TOA01 table to link the new ID created by the archive with the IDOC ID.
What is the simplest way to get this data updated in SAP?  We're not sure of the process to call back into SAP.  If we write an ABAP procedure, how can it be called from 'outside' SAP?  Is there a reference for how to programatically update a row in an SAP table?
    Thanks

    Hi Dick,
I'm not an expert on IDOC. Generally speaking, an archiveLink image can be linked to any BOR (Business object repository) instance.
If your IDOC types are represented by different BOR types (transaction SWO1) then they can be attached to those. The archiveLink link table means the following:
SAP_OBJECT: Business object type (TA SWO1)
OBJECT_ID: business object ID (instance of Business object)
    ARCHIV_ID: content repository ID
    ARC_DOC_ID: archive doc ID
    AR_OBJECT: archiveLink document type (OAC2)
    AR_DATE: archiving date
    RESERVE: document class (PDF,...)
What I mean with a wrapper is: Write a (RFC) function module that calls the ARCHIV_CONNECTION_INSERT in the way you need for your specific application.

I am asking my Basis team to help me in this regard to create an interface so that i will be able to store documents through Archivelink through PA30.I did some changes in Bus1065 and added few fields like Info type etc but after creating the document through PA30 I am not getting the entry for info types which i added in this business object and i am able to see the entry if i use OAWD or OAAD.

  • GOS vs. Archivelink Viewer - short dump

    Hi Folks,
I've got a problem with the generic object services (GOS) and the archivelink viewer.
In my own program (a copy of function group MR1M) the GOS is started at the beginning of the program (at least the GOS-starter is started).
During the program execution, the function module ARCHIVELINK_FUNCTION is called to show archive documents in an external viewer.
This works fine, except for this point:
If the function module ARCHIVELINK_FUNCTION raises an error, this error is catched one level above. This works fine too.
But with this "errorneous" call, it seems that the system changes something in the flow logic of the transaction.
At the end of the action, the system flushes all data with the function module AC_SYSTEM_FLUSH (incl. GOS). But it seems, as if this service weren't started yet. But it is!
    => short dump (RAISE_EXCEPTION -> CNTL_ERROR)!
    Background information:
    1.) GOS is started
a.) with function module SWU_OBJECT_PUBLISH (if there is an document number) or
b.) at least the GOS-starter with method cl_gos_starter=>display.
In this case, the complete service will get started later if the document number is known.
    2.) AC_SYSTEM_FLUSH tries to flush "SAPGUI.GOSCONTAINERCTRL.1".
3.) The reason for this short dump is the "property_get_error"
You can see this in the gui trace log too:
    <126=Monitor: CSession::ReadDataStream: AgiParseStream called
    <126=Monitor: CSession::ReadDataStream: AgiParseStream done
    <126=Monitor: UpdateUser: user = |EMEUREN|, lang = |DE|, code-page = 1160
    <126=Monitor: Program name     SAPLZRP_MR1M
<126=(Error):    GET PROPERTY "Nodes" OF [#0]
Invalid Object handle - this error may be caused by an ABAP programming error
<126=(Error):                     Error occured at Verb  : Nodes
    <126=(Error):                                      Object: 0
<126=(Error):    SAPAWRFC leaving RfcFlushOle with RfcRaise(GET_PROPERTY_FAILED)
    <126=Monitor: Double Buffering enabled
Does anyone have an idea how to find the reason for this behavior?
    Best Regards

  • GOS integration into IS-U, ArchiveLink documents

    Hi,

  • ArchiveLink FileNet :TOA01-ARC_DOC_ID

    Hello,
Does anybody know how SAP get next value for field TOA01-ARC_DOC_ID?
After production refresh test system creates record in TOA01 table already existing arc_doc_id number.

    Thanks for your reply Raja,
We checked in table NRIV, but we are not sure where this numbers are being defined. Probably, SAP is making RFC call to FileNet to get next number or reading some file in FileNet or reading caches. We're still debugging RSNAST00. Only thing we see that is that entry is being created at commit in this program.
    Thanks.

  • Archive Link and toa01

    Hi everyone.
I would like ask if somebody could help me with this one.
I would like to now how many of the billing documents we have produced are stored in our Content Manager solution. Therefore I made a program which takes the billing doc number plus 4 zeroes and the billing date. These I compare with the the firste 10 digits in the DOC ID field and Archived DATE in table toa01.
This works fine mostly but I found some examples where the billing doc has an copy of it in the Content Manager and when I search for this Doc. through transaction OAAD I found nothing. I entered the billing doc number 10 digits in the SAP OBJECT ID and found nothing like my program says. But when I take the DOC ID from the found billing doc and entered this one in the field I find the document and actually I found the DOC ID to which was unknown befor.
Does anyone has a solution for this one?
    Thanks.

    Hi Neha,
I'm sorry I don't have answer to your question but I wonder if you could help me.
I'm looking at OSS note 530792 to configure GOS 'create attachment' option to copy the attachments to the archive server. currently, these are written to the SAP office tables SOC3, SOFFCONT1, etc and I want to use the archivelink and SAPHTTP and copy to the archive storage.
Have you successfully managed to configure your system since you mentioned TOA01?
In the same GOS menu I've activated the 'Business document' option and can copy these to the archive server by correctly configuring OAC2 and OAC3.
I'll really appreciate of you could please share your knowledge.
    Thanks.

  • GOS Menu - Vendor Master Transaction XK02 and XK03

Could anyone please tell me what is the SAP object to enable the GOS menu 'store business document' for XK02 / XK03.
I created a new document type in OAC2 and in OAC3 attached it to LFA1 using TOA01 but the store business document option is stil greyed out. I have been able to successfully do this for VA03, VL03, VF03, etc.
    Thanks.
    Soyab

    Hello
The function 'store business document' enables to archive scanned image, or any office document TEXT, EXCEL, WORD, PDF etc .. to an archiving storage such as IXOS econ server. If it is not activitied in your system (i.e. grey-out), you need to do all achiving configuration for XK03 (chose object type LFA1 AND LFM1, and done all necessary customizing using OAC3 and OAC2), call OAC3 and enter entries with object type LFA1 and LFM1.
As for the storage, the documents you have linked and which are now displayed in the attachment list, are stored via ArchiveLink. This is exactly done when you choose Create -> Store Business Document.
    Have a nice week !
    Cheers!

we plan to implement invoice verification workflow to start when an invoice is scanned and placed in holder in OAWD. So that workflow will start from then onwards with SAP archive link.
Please let us know how we can link scanner and SAP Archive link so that we can place the scanned document directly in to OAWD. how we open the image automatically when approver or AP clerk execute the workitem.
The process we want to follow is
    1. Scan document and place in OAWD
2 Workflow is started based on the document type of Archive link( we want to use BKPF)
3 AP clerk receives workitem and execute it. APclerk see the transaction code FV60 to enter document and image of the scan automatically
4 AP clerk fill the document and park the document.
5 Workitem is sent to approver based on the rule specified
6 Approver execute the transaction invoice iamge is opened and sap document is displayed.
7 Approver check both image and sap docuemnt and take decision
8 Approver approves document , sap document is posted and ready for payment
9 If rejected go back to AP clerk.
Here issue is when user or approver execute the workitem ,how we can open image automatically along with sap screen.
or how we can acess GOS to pop up automatically to user from workflow is our another isssue

    Hi,
It is possible to launch the stored image as soon as workitem is executed. You will need to maintain the archivelink customization to display stored document. Check the following link
