Got a new computer and want to add my music..
from my old MacBook to my new MacBook.
This is probably very simple but I can't figure it out. I have some music on my new computer so if I sync it, I'll lose that.
How can I get all of my music on one computer?
Thanks so much!
I guess that you are asking about the copying part.
1. If you have an external USB drive or large enough USB stick you can drag your iTunes folder from old computer onto it and drag back into Music folder on the new Mac.
2. You can do it over the network if you have those two computers connected to the same network.
On the old Mac go to System Preferences, Sharing. Enable File Sharing and add your Music folder in the right pane
On the new computer open new Finder Window and go to Shared in the left pane.
you should see your old Mac there, click on it, auhenticate if needed and copy the iTunes folder into Music folder on your new drive.
Post if any problems.

I just got a new computer and want to import my music from my ipod classic and keep my current play lists. How do I do this?
You can go to the pictures folder on your old computer and copy the "iPhoto library" file and copy it to a thumb drive or something like that and then just open it on your new Mac.

How
Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer. -
Hi guys...I have just got a new computer and want to get my library back up and running on it. However I seem to be missing some of my iTunes music purchases. Any ideas on how to get them back? They show up on my ipad but not my actual itunes account.
Hello there, Capricious13.
There are great pointers in the following Knowledge Base article. Depending on where you see the content and where you want to get it to, this should guide you to putting it in the right place:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

Hi, gcmar.
I would double check to make sure that you have selected the options for syncing. Look over the article below to make sure you have the items that you want selected to sync over.

If you ever registered it with adobe, you can get your serial number by going to the main page of adobe.com and looking for My Adobe. Work through the links there and you can retrieve your serial number from your adobe store account.

i recently got a new computer and want to transfer music from my i pod to my computer. how do i do that?
The ipod is not a storage/backup device. The sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchases: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
You should copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one. -

I just got a new pc and want to sync my music from my iPhone. Help!?
Transfer your iTunes library from your old computer to your new computer per the instructions included with this link along with all other important data that you will need or want to access on your new computer such as photos, documents, etc.

Recently got a new computer and need to add songs to my iPhone.
Hey, my old computer on which I used to sync my iPhone was destroyed. I purchased a new mac and wanted to add songs to my iPhone. However, it tells me that my iPhone is only allowed to be synced to one computer (guessing my old one). It prompts me with a msg telling me that if I go ahead with the syncing process, all the items on my iPhone will be deleted (iPhone 4s). I have over 500 songs on there and many contacts, which I do not want to be deleted. Is there a way that I can sync my iPhone to my new computer without it deleting all my things?
Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the content of the iphone and replace it with content from the new computer, so copy everything from the old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one first.

I got a new computer and want to transfer PHOTOS Is this possible?
I'v got all the photos from my old computer onto my ipod but now when I plug it into my new computer, it tells me that i can not sync 2 librarys and I have to delete the stuff on the ipod to update....does anyone know a way around this? Is it even possible? (it seams that even though I have the latest addition of itunes on both computers that I used to have an option to do this but now I cant figure it out.)
Thanks for ANY help
ps: maybe you know a way that does not involve the ipod OR slowly up-laoding them all to the internet? You can manually manage music like this, but not photos. You need to transfer these photos to your new computer and then sync them to your iPod from that computer.

The tutorial says to check Sync Apps and drag the new app icons onto iphones. Problem is I get a warning when I click Sync apps that doing so erases all the apps in the iphone and replaces them with the new ones. Since this is a new itunes, it does not have the iphone apps already purchased downloaded. How do I add these apps and sync my iphone?
You don't. Backup your itunes library on the old computer and move it to the new computer.

I have iTunes Match and it's been fine until now. I'm trying to download my music to my phone so I don't have to use the wifi to play it all the time.....but iTunes match won't let me copy from my computer without shutting it off. If I do that then turn it back on then I lose all the music anyway.
I'm so frustrated and can't download song by song to my phone.
help.If you mean you want to sync your music from your computer to your iPhone you need to disable iTunes Match on the iPhone. Go to Settings > Music and set to iTunes Match to OFF (not green). You may need to wait a few minutes for the change to register with iTunes. Connect the iPhone via USB/Thunderbolt and sync the music.

Got a new computer and want to install itunes but it already says it was downloaded
I purchased a new dell computer. went to the apple web page to download itunes to the new computer, clicked on download and it says "thanks for downloading itunes" but nothing happened. Have checked my download folder, it never asked me to go thru any of the steps, cked you tube for suggestions I followed the instructions but once again it never shows up on my computer to go thru the set up stages on this new computer.
Could someone plese tell me what I am doing wrong????
Sincerely,
kevrickatI'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?
