Got a new computer....HELP please!.
I recently got a new computer at home. I didn't think about all my music on the old one. I don't have the old computer anymore. How can I get all my music off my ipod and onto the computer?
Please help. I don't even have lots of the CDs I used to load the music anymore....
Hello there,
There are several ways you can pull the music off your iPod and onto iTunes.
It all depends on if you have a Mac or PC with how you copy your music over. The first link after the Apple support document below provides step-by-step instructions for the direct method if you have a PC as well as a few third party applications (for both the Mac and PC) if you choose to go that route instead. You can also do a simple google search for "copy music from iPod to computer" and you should receive a number of sites that can help you out.
Just make sure that when you have your iPod plugged into your new computer, that you don't hit "Erase and Sync" before completing the task of copying your music over.
Also, if you have any purchased music, you will probably have to re-authorize your computer by heading to the Store drop down menu and choosing "Authorize computer."

So I had an ipod touch, got a lot of my music from my old CD's that i later threw away, then got a new computer and lost all my music on my itunes, but still have it all on my itouch. I just simply want to get my music from my itouch to my computer. I now have a iphone and it would be nice to put some of that music on my phone as well.
Hope someone can help me!!!
thanks,
SophiaWhile that may work9I do not think it will) with iTunes purchased music it will not work for other music.
- Transfer iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
- For other music you will need a third-party program like one of those discussed here.

Is there a way to run a 2005 PreSonus Firebox(with the firewire) to a mid-2011 iMac 0SX 10.7.2? It says its no longer supporting Power PC? Anything I can do without spending more money on new equipment or a new computer? Please help me.
Nevermind, I got it working.
I ended up extracting the new vob within MPEG Streamclip, which gave me an m2v and an aiff audio. I multiplexed those two back together in FFMpegX which gave me a complete VIDEO_TS folder with BUP and IFO files I needed. -
How do I get my music from cd's that is on my opod to my library in itunes? I got a new computer, installed itunes and thought syncing would work. It only synced purchases. Any music I had from cd's is not in my library anymore. Then I turned on the cloud and it erased those tracks from my other computer as well. Help please.
Your iPod can only be synced with one computer at a time. If you try to sync it with a new computer/iTunes library, it will replace the contents of the iPod with whatever is in the new library. You should probably disable the autosync functionality first by going to Edit -> Preferences, clicking the Devices tab, and enabling the prevent iPods,iPhones, and iPads from automatically syncing option.
Before doing anything else, authorize the new computer with your iTunes Account. In iTunes, choose Store -> Authorize This Computer and enter in the correct credentials. Either copy a backup file from your old computer to your new one or create a new backup of your iPod in iTunes before letting it sync.
Then right->click on your iPod Touch from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes and choose Backup. You might also want to take a look at this article to see what it all included in the backup.
iOS: How to back up
Now onto synced content such as music, videos, photos, etc. For iTunes purchases you can copy them back into iTunes by choosing File -> Transfer Purchases. For all other nonpurchased iTunes content, see this excellent user tip from another forum member turingtest2 outlining the different methods and software available to help you copy content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.
Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device
Once the backup has been made and all other synced content such as music, videos, and photos are back in your iTunes library, restore your iPod from that backup you made earlier. Here is more on backing up and restoring your iPod.

If you do happen to lose any purchased content, you can always redownload it from the iTunes Store again at no cost via iCloud. See this article for information.

I accientally synced my iPhone to 2 different computers. Now my older apps are on one computer and new apps are on another. Every time I try to sync all apps on one computer it takes the other apps of and just syncs what is on that computer - Help please
I cannot for the life of me figure this out. What you need to do is connect your phone to iTunes but do not click sync. Go to File at the top and click transfer purchases from phone, that'll put all your apps into iTunes. When it's done transferring, locate your phone on the sidebar and click it. Then find the apps option above the picture of your iphone, you can select which apps you want or don't want on your phone. After selecting your apps then you can sync. Once you do this you should never have your problem anymore.

HT204053 We just got a new computer and one of us may lose our Itune account. Help!
Both my husband and I have had separate ITunes accounts on our computer that we download and purchase our own music into. Now we also each have IPhones and separate apple IDs for downloading and purchasing music. We just got a new computer which only allows one Apple ID. What do we do? Will one of us have to give up our account and lose our music library?

Restore as a new iPhone -
So I just recently got a new computer. The only problem is that my iphone has been connected to my sisters computer for a year and i want my phone to be on my computer. I tried to back my iphone up to my computer and it deleted everything i had on my phone. I must not have done it right. Can someone explain how i can do it without it deleting everything on my phone?
Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder and any pictures being synced from the old computer to the new computer.
If syncing contacts and calendars to the computer, copy them as well.
On the new computer, simply sync. iTunes may wipe the device but as everything is now on the new computer it is a no e issue. Simply setup syncing as desired.
Honestly though, I've moved my ENTIRE iTunes folder between my laptop and desktop multiple times and never had an issue syncing. -

I got a new computer a while ago and tried to sync my iPhone 3. I thought my library was housed at iTunes, but when I sync, it does not sync the previous library. I can see my apps, but they are "grayed" out and I cannot maneuver them on my computer. When I click to sync the apps currently on my iPhone, I get a message saying that by doing so will erase what is on the phone and replace it with what is in the library. Please help!
You need to copy everything from the old computer or your backup copy of your old computer to the new one.
The iphone will sync itunes content and pics with one and only one computer at a time. If you sync to another, then it will erase the current content from the iphone and replace with content from the new computer.
The music sync is one - way -computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
If you sync contacts and calendars to a blank computer, then they will be erased as well.
Copy everything from the old computer. -
Help Please... I just got a new computer. I have PS CC on my old pc and my laptop. How do I change my ps to my new computer??
You can install and activate CC apps on 2 computers.
You can continue using CC apps on both computers .
However ,
If you no longer wish to use CC apps on old computer , it is better to deactivate subscription by signing out from Creative Cloud on old computer

I just got a new computer with Windows 7. I installed ITunes, and when I connect my IPod Touch 3rd generation, it says I need to transfer my files to ITunes before I sent or all data will be erased from my IPod. Unfortunately, it doesn't tell me how. Please help.
This will transfere iTunes purchases:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
The info in this previous discussion tells how to transfer other stuff
Best iPod to PC
After you get the stuff in your iTunes' library let iTunes erase your iPod and replace it contents with what is now in your iTunes' library.
