Got a new iPhone!
I got a new iPhone and I understand that I can import data from MS Outlook to my iPhone, and that I can export data (I suppose through sync) from my PDA to Outlook. I am running Windows Vista, and I have the Palm VIIx. I am connected to my computer from my Palm VIIx through a cradle with a female serial connector on the end. From that point I have another male serial end connected to that female end and a USB connector at the other end of the male end (male serial/USB combination cable ) so that I can connect to my computer (my computer doesn't have a male serial port). I am having trouble getting the PDA to be detected for a sync. I think it is with the USB-serial connection, as indicated by an error message in Windows stating that I need to install a driver. The driver was indicated as a Prolific something or other. I don't know where to look for it. Can anyone help with this, please?

Thr first thing you need to determine is what Vista OS is on your PC. 32 bit or 64 bit. To find this out go to your computer Icon on your desktop and right click it. Go to properties at the bottom and click on that. The first page that opens about half way down on the right should tell you if it is 32 or 64 bit. Since it's asking for a driver my bet is it's 64 bit. The only way any Palm device can sync to 64 bit Vista right now is either through Bluetooth (which your device does not have) or infra-red ( which your device does have) You would have to go to an electronics store and see if they have an Infra-red USB dongle that you can attach to your PC and then see if it recognizes your VIIx. This type of syncing will be very slow. It might almost be worth your while to find a PC (friend or at work) that is still running XP as their operating system. Then you could download Palm Desktop 4.1.4 or 4.1.4e and cable sync your device to Outlook and then to your IPhone. Hope this helps.

Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.

I just got a new iphone 3GS and was trying to sync it with my itunes information from my old phone. However, I keep getting multiple error messages and after the sync is complete, I find that everything has transferred except my purchased itunes music and voice memos (I record my class lectures). I am not sure what I can do to fix this. Any ideas?
The error messages are:

-"The iphone 'My Iphone' cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all the items in itunes library."

You chose to set up your iphone from your daughters backup.
The iphone is designed to be synced with your computer regularly. You should have set up syncing from day one.
As you have failed to sync your information, it is gone.

I got a new iPhone and i am trying to buy songs but when I go to buy a song on iTunes it says I have to answer my security questions and I don't remember the answers. I pressed where it says for them to email you your answers but I haven't gotten an email. Is there another way to change or get the answers for the security questions?
If the email hasn't arrived after a few hours and isn't in a spam filter, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

What a horrible way to treat customers. I was due for updates on my phones and thought I should maybe check some other prices but have been with Verizon for 20 yrs so ended up there. I got 2 new IPhones 5s and the wife couldn’t decide what she wanted so she stayed with old phone but this locked me into a new 2 yr contract . Within a wk one of the new iPhones started turning on and of like 10 –15 times a day. Wk 2 it turned off and would not turn on again . It was my sons who was in college at the time so we talked and he took it in to a Verizon store where he was told I need to come in since the account was in my name. He was away from home , Verizon could see on account it was his phone they said it was not abused, they could not even turn it on , they sold me the phone give him another phone maybe even a loaner till he gets another. So now I need to go to store and explain to 3 different people this is my phone and my son has it and I need a new one. what a waste of time after about 2 hrs and talking to different people and yes they said there were notes on his account from other person he had talked to from different store. So I finally walk out with a receipt in hand and being told I would have a new phone in a couple days. As I sat in my vehicle thinking this is stupid I looked at my receipt and noticed it said droid on it so back into Verizon I went. The salesman said that’s what your son has on his account. My son had activated a friends old phone so he has one since VERIZON REFUSED to give him one. Another hr 3 people and yes they can see he had a new iPhone and notes on it from other store. Sometimes sorry just doesn't do it. I was now late for a appointment . Now I walk out and have been told I will get a new iPhone in the mail in about 2 wk Yes 2 wks again I bought it there just give me a new one and you send old one back. I will also get a new droid that I have to send back because they said they cant cancel it . In about 3 days I get the Droid and sent it back Verizon mistake and a waste of my time . After waiting over 2 wks and not receiving a new iPhone back to Verizon I went . I am now bitter at Verizon after doing 20 yrs of business with them. 3 people 1 hr later I was told it got delivered to my post office . I got the tracking num called the post office and they say o yes that was the droid. Go back in to Verizon another hr of explaining I walk out being told I will get a new iPhone in a couple of days, We’ll see . Once again I got the phone in your store just give me a new one . Do you realize how much of my time you have wasted ? do you care? O what is Your Policy ? How many Billion did you make last year ? I am Locked into a new 2 yr contract . Why don’t you just release me ? After 20 yrs do you think I will ever renew my contract ?
Simple process. If an iPhone go to the Apple Store and not Verizon
the phone from Verizon will be a refurbished device and not new unless under the 14 day worry free guarantee

I forgot all of the answers to my security questions and when I set up my apple id I did not add a rescue email, I recently got a new iphone and I cannot purchase anything on it because it asks me to answer my security questions which i can't reset because I do not have a rescue email. what do I do?
this does not help. I have forgotten ALL of the answers to my security questions. I can NOT reset the answers to my security questions without answering two of the three security questions. The other way to reset the answers to these questions is for apple to send me an email on my rescue email addres which I DO NOT HAVE.

Hello guys..!! I have got my new iphone 4 2 days ago.The same day it got a problem of auto restart in every 1, to 2 minutes. I updated and restored it many times...but of no use... can any one help me how to solve this problem..!!
Go to Settings/General/Reset - Erase all content and settings. the connecto to iTunes and restore as a New phone. Do not restore any backup. If the problem persists you have a hardware problem. Take it to Apple for exchange.
This assumes that the phone is not hacked or jailbroken. If it is you will have to go elsewhere on the internet for help. -
My husband and I share music in one itunes account for both of our iphones. We just got the new iphone 5s's and iin ttryinngto back up our old phones I have realized we SHARE one icloud as well. Can I create him a new icloud for pictures, contacts etc
You can have one icloud account and a different itunes account on the phone. I have my icloud account and a shared itunes account. He does not have to use the new icloud account as is ID in itunes and app store. He can keep using the old one.

This doesn't really seem like an iTunes Match question, but ... at this time Apple IDs can not be merged.
However, it is possible to sync the iPod with iTunes to add the music to the library. -
When I got my new iPhone and was trying to switch everything over I accidentally set up a new icloud account with one email and had one on my old iphone with another account. Does anyone know how I can merge the two accounts?
You cannot merge Apple IDs but you can go to Settings > iCloud and 'Delete Account'. When prompted to turn off documents and data, choose the only option which is Delete from my iPhone, but on the other prompt for Contacts, Calendars, etc you can choose 'Keep on my iPhone' Then once the Account is Deleted form the iPhone, log back in with the correct Apple ID and choose Merge when prompted. This will merge your data from this iPhone with that iCloud account effectively putting your devices on the same account.

You should be able to see two different tabs when setting up the email if you go to Other > Add Mail Account. Once you enter in the email address and password, you should be at the next screen to provide more details about the email as far as incoming and outgoing servers and at the top there will be a blue section to add it in as a POP or IMAP email account. A friend of my daughter's used my mac computer when she got her new iphone to help set it up. Now that I have a new iphone, her apps and all the app store information is stuck on my phone. Her app account keeps showing up when I try to install something new, and I obviously do not have her password. How do I get this off my phone??
Open iTunes on the computer. Without any iPhone plugged in, go to iTunes' menu and do Store > Sign Out.
The click the iTunes Store row on the left of the iTunes display. You can then sign on from the signon row on the right side of the display using the correct Apple ID and password. Then you'll be all set! -
I just got a new iPhone 4 and i tried to download some songs from my itunes account onto my phone and it bricked my phone! So I can't use my phone, it's locked. It shows a plug going into an adaptor frozen on my phone. How can I resolve this problem? I got my phone at Verizon yesterday so I went back to see if they could help me today and they didn't know anything about it at the Verizon store. Theyy said to try IMac store here in town...
Ask the Verizon store to exchange your iPhone for a different iPhone 4.

i just got a new iphone 4 for att and my friend installed the sim card in it for me. the imessage function isnt connecting with the my cell number. a while back i had logged into my apple account on someone elses cell phone and their number keeps showing. when i try to just select my number to send and recieve imessages from it will not show up. i can send and recieve regular text but not pictures or imessage. i have tried logging off and restarting and nothing has worked.help please!!
