Got a weird CSS problem that only affect IE

Can anyone help me out here? - its got to be simple:

The problem is with the text in the main area. It does not
show up in MSIE 6
or 7. Sometimes if you resize the page then it does, but the
bottom is cut
off sometimes. Works fine in Firefox and Opera.
Driving me nuts!

The text shows up fine in Firefox and IE 7 here, on Windows
XP. I don't have
IE 6 to test, but thought I'd chime in a let you know that
it's working on
my end.

The imessage problem with IOS7 is affecting me. I just wanted to chime in because Apple said it is only affecting a few users. Don't believe it.

I get a contract iPhone 5 today, bt(maybe the baterry) something is moving inside if I shake that. My question is how this handset pass quality check. Not only that, I also got another handset with problem, that's earpiece not working.

ICal problem that only happens on iMacs

When running iCal on my brand new iMac I am unable to connect to new MobileMe calendars or to google calendars. I "solved" the MobileMe calendar issue by downgrading (sad because the new MobileMe web is really cool.) I still haven't resolved the google calendar issue despite trying everything mentioned in the iCal forum for this issue and talking to a Senior Apple support agent. If you find this thread in the iCal forum you'll notice that everyone having the problem is running the iMac.

Is there a certain way that you can write your css code so

Really weird ipod problem that i cant find info on

Okay, so i took my ipod to my dad's house over the weekend and his computer messed it up. Now when i import songs, they appear to convert to the ipod when I'm in itunes, but once i unplug the ipod from the computer (and yes i do eject it first) the songs disappear. For some reason i can't ad any songs to my ipod anymore. Earlier some weird message about a corrupted file chklis/file7 or something along that line at least came up. And well, I have no idea what to do. Ive been searching for help all night and i havent found any yet.

Assuming that your computer recognizes the iPod is connected, check out the instructions/suggestions here.

There's also another method I've seen posted. I've successfully tested this across several different Windows PCs.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
However it appears that no playlists or any other info such as ratings/last played etc will transfer.
If this is important to you, you may want to use other options.
There's Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod back to the computer.

Very weird disc problem! Only Witcher disc gets stuck inside everytime

This is not trolling. Some people on Reddit thought I am trolling but I am not.
I have three game discs, all work fine except Witcher 3. Everytime I eject it with the controller option or by pressing the button on PS4 it gEts stuck abd I have to manually eject it. Why is this happening ? I had my PS4 for 8 months now and it's only in the past two weeks this happens everytime I play Witcher. What can I do? Please help.

Is the Whitcher disk physically different in dimension than normal, even by a small amount, or slightly thinner or thicker?

CSS problem that works but doesn;t

I am beginning to think this is not possible. The code is
below. The images are their but the two side ones are not showing
up or they do not even work like the top leaves. I even dropped the
2 layers lft & rgt inside the top layer that does work and the
top layer still works but the other 2 still don't, puzzling. Here

I have tried adding two more layers one on each side of the
page and put thin graphics.png in the layers so they clear the

work or show up withe code below so I tried putting the two lft
& rgt layers inside the leaf layer and resize the leaf layer
and that kind works but not you can see this at the next link.

You can take sniffer trace for working one and failing one. Then compare the difference.
Perhaps, you show us the config for the content rule doing rediretion. (i.e. content rule and its redirection service). Then I will have a second look.

How do I fix the css of my navigation region? their are lines that are extending in the bottom of the region.. How will I solve that?

The Simple Red (theme 1) CSS includes the following rule:
.navigation-region div {
    overflow: hidden;
    width: 183px;
    padding: 0 0 4px;
    background: url(../images/bg-navigation-b.gif) no-repeat 0 100%;
}The <tt>.navigation-region div</tt> descendant selector causes this rule to be applied to all <tt>div</tt> elements that are contained within elements with a class of <tt>.navigation-region</tt>. As it seems unfeasible to expect apps to never have <tt>div</tt>s in a navigation region—as you've discovered—I'd say this is definitely a bug. We certainly shouldn't get these kind of artefacts from a combination of built-in components and templates.
The CSS selector for this rule should be more specific. There are a number of different possible ways to do this. Combining child and pseudo-class<tt>:first-child</tt> pseudo-class is one of them, and avoids having to make any changes to the template HTML.
The best way to fix this is to copy the theme, modify the errant CSS, and republish the theme in the repository. (In some cases, such as in a hosted environment, this might not be possible.)
As a simple fix in this example, I created a small custom style sheet and a new page template referencing it:

There's a slight problem with this fix as the initial reset rule will affect all <tt>div</tt>s in <tt>.navigation-region</tt> elements: it's necessary to ensure that any rules setting <tt>padding</tt> or <tt>background</tt> on other <tt>div</tt>s need to follow this one in the cascade or be more specific than this one, hence creating a copy of the theme is the best option.

CSS for Safari only?

Hi all,
I'm in the middle of modifying a web site's template and came across a CSS problem, it renders fine in FireFox and (even in) IE, but is off by about 20px in Safari...
Does anyone know if there's a way to create CSS classes that only Safari understands (or doesn't understand)?
Any help appreciated, thanks in advance !

Welcome to Apple's user-to-user discussion forums.
You could start by using the W3C CSS Validator to see if you are following the established standards. While you are at it, you could also check your pages using the W3C html/xhtml Validator. Safari is one of the least forgiving of browsers when it comes to non-standard, incorrect or bad code.

Well if you haven't already read it two or three times the User manual is really very good. Apple really did a nice job with it. The on-line version is nice because it is searchable.
After that the Apple Pro Training Series book Aperture 3 is very useful. Its basically split into three parts. The library, adjustments and sharing. In addition if you get all the way through it you can take the Certification test and become, well certified.
Rwboyer who posts here on and off has a good site and a couple of ebooks that I found useful.

Weird problems that make my iPod unusable

So I've had my iPod about 6 months now, and just recently I've been having issues with it. A couple weeks ago it mysteriously wouldn't turn on. I tried the 5 R's, tried everything I could think of and let the battery drain as a last resort. I put it in the refridgerator for a couple days and let it sit for like 4 days after that. It ended up working again just fine. (By the way, the temp in the fridge was well within environmental standards for the product.) At least I thought it was just fine. I did notice that when I turned it on, either sometimes or all of the time--I didn't pay close enough attention--it would pop right on and not display the Apple logo for a few seconds. This made me think that somehow when I was turning it off, it was just going to sleep or something instead? Just a thought.
Anyway, last night I was listening to my iPod in bed before going to sleep. I turned it off, then tried to turn it back on a minute later and it would not. I tried restarting it, but instead of displaying the apple logo and working again, the screen flickered for a millisecond and shut off again. This happened nearly every time I tried restarting it. This morning I plugged it into my computer and it wouldn't show up. Once, when I plugged it in, I got a pop-up on my screen saying it detected a new USB device and that I needed to install the drivers. I put the iPod CD in and it wouldn't work, so I gave up on that. This afternoon I randomly hit the button on the ipod and it turned on. However, the batter was almost completely drained, even though it was full last night and I obviously wasn't using it since then.
Just now, I tunred it on, off, and now it will not turn on again. It does the same screen-flicker kind of thing.
Note that today after it started working again, I took the opportunity to restore the iPod and re-upload my songs. I thought that might stop the bugs. Apparently it has not. I have the newest version of iTunes. As far as I know, the iPod has suffered no trauma.
Well, I've done my best to fully describe my problems. Please, someone help me if you can. I can't really send it in as broken because it seems to randomly work. I really thought restoring it would work... Anyway, thank you for reading and for any help you may be able to give.

Im having the same problem with my 30gb 5G Ipod! Tried the 5Rs and the weird thing is that some times it just start to work fine! Unfortunately the last time it didnt.
I already tried the disk mode thing and the disk mode works for 10 secs (its not a battery issue, right?) then it keeps looping into the Apple logo over and over again.
Im already getting mad cuz I did not backup and I dont want to lose all my files!
Since I live in Brazil its almost impossible to send it to support before my warranty expires. =/
So what am I supposed to do? Help me!!

This response is a little late as I just read about your problem. I have a 2012 Dodge Charger and a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country and both worked flawlessly with the iPhone 5s my wife and I had. However, we just upgraded to the iPhone 6 and Uconnect will receive calls but you cannot answer them. You can callout successfully, however. the annoyance being the inability to answer incoming calls in the HandsFree mode.

This is an unsolicited ad for "winning" an I phone. I am very tired of winning all this junk. I certainly do not want ads talking to me now.

This appears above the page, in the toolbar area? That's probably caused by an add-on. Try disabling ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable (or remove).
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Does that get rid of the ad?
Two other things:
(1) You may want to check the Windows Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, for any undisclosed bundle items. Click the "Installed on" column heading to group by date so they are easier to spot. Remove whatever looks suspicious or unnecessary.
(2) You may want to supplement your regular security software with some of the scanning/cleaning programs listed in our support article: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]].

I cant use the highlight, underline, or strikethrough function in a specific pdf file. The file isnt locked. I used to highlight texts from that file before the latest update. The problem occurs only with that file. Urgent need. Please help. Thanks!

Do you know when this problem (for not being able to add new highlight/strikeout/underline) has started? Did you update your iOS from 7.x to 8.0 recently?
