iTunes and Apple's devices work as an ecosystem. iTunes is designed to sync with Apple's products, not anyone else's. You'll need your songs in a format compatable with the Samsung phone and to use the software transfer program supplied/recommended. It is essentially not an Apple/iTunes problem. You may have better luck finding the information you need on Samsung's forums.

When you plug in the iPod, does it appear in the left portion of the iTunes screen under Devices? It usually takes a few seconds for the information to pass between computer and iPod before the device is visible in iTunes, so don't expect it to happen the second you plug it in.

I want to Delete everything in it, but since it cannot be recognized by my computer and doesn't show on Itunes, I cannot do it. It has some a jailbreak which the last user put into it, might be Redsnow, and most of the app's and other stuff on the phone I cannot use it only says loading after I press it and then dissappears. The last user may have been Chinese, in which he put a chinese jailbreak and since i changed the language etc. of the iphone some things show up as little squares instead of normal english format. I have the same problem with my 4S too, if the slider won't even let you slide, the it's most likely that the WiFi module inside the phone is broken

The hub may not be broken per se, but Apple has made adjustments to the limits on current that can be drawn from ports.
You probably need a new hub.

My iPad music seems to be corrupt. Can I delete everything including the back up so I can re-load afresh from my iTunes library
In my iTunes library on my Macbook Air everything is OK but whenever I syncronise after an update a back up is made and then re-loaded.
Can I delete this back up somehow and load direct from my iTunes Library ?Depending upon what problem that you are having with the Music app, have you tried closing the Music app via the iPad's taskbar and seeing if that helps ? From the home screen (i.e. not with the Music app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Music app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't help then you can delete your music from your iPad and re-sync it back to it. A device's backup doesn't contain the contents of the Music and Videos apps, when you do a restore it gets those from your computer's iTunes library and not from within the actual backup, so deleting the backup shouldn't make any difference to that - if you want to delete the iPad's backup from your Mac then go into iTunes > Preferences (command-comma), and on the Devices tab select the iPad backup and click the 'Delete Backup' button. -

I am currently running 4 ipod classics through my own account/profile on itunes. They belong to me, my husband and 2 kids.
The kids are getting older now and have their own laptops. I would like them to have their own itunes accounts as they will be away from home much of the time and will want to make their own puchases.

Click here for instructions to make an apple account without entering a credit card. Make sure you use a different email address for each apple account.
Set up your iPhone/iPad whatever using the new account for iCloud. Then go into settings/store and sign in with your purchasing account, you may need to sign out of the other account. To the best of my knowledge, your household is allowed to share purchased legally, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Once you each have your own devices set to your own accounts you can set them to backup to that account and it will keep all your contacts seperate. -
I have two libraries on separate computers. If i turned itunes match on in both computers would the two libraries merge? So if my iphone normally syncs with my laptop would i still only get the iphones library or would i get both as one?
Yes, the two libraries should merge. However, you need to turn on match on one computer and let it finish before adding the second library.
Once you turn march on n your phone then you don't sync it with iTunes, but the merged library will show up on the phone. If you don't turn on match on your phone and continue to sync then all of the music from both libraries should be available to sync to it.
The only bit I can't confirm is what happens if you try to sync music to the phone which isnt actually downloaded into iTunes. Im not in a position to test that, but maybe someone else can help. -

Apps from the iTunes store are only for ios based devices. ie iPad or iPhone
If you want an app for your Macbook use the App Store on the toolbar and you can purchase a mac version if it exists. -
A family member gave our kids their old iphone with music already loaded for them. How do we add the music to our library? It won't transfer purchases from the phone and if I sync it, the music is erased. Can someone walk me through this?
