Got Fibre, But no phone since activation yesterday...

I moved to BB yesterday from TT - moved to Infinity 1 and unlimiited weekend calls.
The phone line went off about 11.45am and mid afternoon we had fibre / internet back on
HOWEVER - although we have a dial tone - the phone hasnt worked
We have a dial tone.....BUT
If you dial any number, it goes thru the motions but instead of connectng you get unobtainable tone immediately
And if you call our number it just rings out, but in reality the phone doesnt actually ring here at all - silent
Can a Mod get in touch and i will provide my details eg Sales code, landline number etc
Is this a porting number or account issue, rather open reach given we have dial tone and fibre?
Can it be resolved today?

We havent had any email or sms to confirm that we have been activated

It can sometimes take a bit longer to port your number over. What you have is a temporary "stopped" line which will have a temporary number which you can normally find by dialling 1470 17070.
This number will not accept incoming calls, but certain outgoing numbers, like 150, normally work.
The mods cannot help right away, as they have a queue which is taking 5-6 working days to respond.
I would expect your old number to be ported across within 48 hours, assuming that you asked BT to do this, when you placed your order.
Sometimes the delay is due to your old service provider, not releasing the number.

If you have an iTunes backup that includes the photos you may be able to extract them from the backup using a 3rd party utility such as http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/ibackupextractor/

have been a Verizon customer since I got my first cell phone in my 30's - I am 50 now! A year ago, I stupidly opted to get a new phone on the EDGE program because I was trying my first Samsung device and was not sure I would like it having been an IPhone user for years.I was right! Or so I thought.... The Note 3 has been horrible. I am on my second phone(replaced it under warranty) and it still freezes, shuts off on its own, and will not come back on for long periods of time. Having had enough, I decided to EDGE Up to another device. On March 16th I tried to edge up my device online but was unable to. I immediately called to figure out what the problem was. Back in October I had a mix up in my billing where I had set up a payment. It was not done properly by customer service and as a result my line was cut off. I called the EXACT day it went off, filed a complaint about the lack of follow through for my arranged payment, and thought I had it straightened out as the payment was made that same day. That incident, although it was a Verizon error, caused my Edge Contract to be "hotlined". I spent an hour on the phone on March 16th clearing the whole mess up. When the conversation ended, the Verizon representative admitted it was a Verizon error, documented everything, and then told me she was filing a release for the hotline hold that would take a couple of days. Her name was Linda and I stupidly trusted what she said.
The days passed as I prepared to have a major foot surgery and to get my classroom straight before I would be out recovering for 3 weeks. All the time, my Samsung continued to glitch out like it has since I got it! While sitting on the couch recovering, I decided to deal with the phone issue again and EDGE UP. I figured 10 days latter, Linda would have taken care of the issue. Unfortunately, I faced the same problem and was told it was not eligible to edge up at this time. BACK on the phone again, 2 supervisors, 3 customer service reps. ( JOE from New York being the rudest customer service rep. I have EVER worked with) and 4 frustrating HOURS latter, Jason, the equally rude supervisor from Rochester, New York, informed me that Linda gave me BAD information, there was NOTHING he could do, and I am NOT eligible until April 14th!!!!! The WORST experience I have EVER had with a company. They were completely inept, rude, and not concerned about my time, my frustration, or the problems I was facing with their product in the LEAST. I have 4 LINES on Verizon that I am going to talk to Sprint about buying out. It was a horrible experience, and I can NOT believe I have no recourse or anyone to talk to....Edge has very clear restrictions, one being that you must have 6 months of clean payment history which you don't. Either wait until April 14, or good luck at Sprint.
I am unsure how it can be determined the payment mix up was the fault of CS, but regardless, the mix up was done. There can be any number of reasons why a payment could be missed without any fault on your part, however you are still the responsible party for the account and must live with the repercussions. -
I can NOT see all my songs on iPhone5 since activating iTunes Match about a week ago!

I just did:
Transfer purchases from iPhone and a Music Sync
NOTHING. Tunes and artists are still NOT SHOWING on my iPhone5\
BUYING another copy makes it available on te iPhone, but at double the price
However, some show as PURCHASED, so I can't get another copy on the iPhone
There are MAJOR PROBLEMS with iTUNES MATCH!
This problems is ONLY on the iPhone 5It might take a while (30 minutes or more) for the initial sync to finish.
When it finishes, here's how to see all you desktop bookmarks:

I have an IPhone 4 that I just activated yesterday with a pre paid plan, but data doesn't work
I activated the phone yesterday. The wifi works but the 3g data does not. I have between 3-5 bars of strength but the phone will not connect to the internet. I had a virgin mobile pre paid phone that did not give me any trouble. Please help. I have done a hard reset, I have reset the network settings, as well. Neither have worked. I have also turned the airport mode on and off, that did not work.
Sounds like your phone is in recovery mode. In this case, all data on it is gone. There's nothing to back up.

Thanks for your prompt response, however I have first seen it now. I have placed an active SIM card in the iPhone turned it off and on. It now says SIM locked, please write access code. The problem is I don't remember the password. When I connect it to iTunes it tell me that I have to write the password before it can be used with iTunes...... Do you have any good ideas? My new (2 months old) 5s fingerprint recognition sensor does not work. It worked well when I first got it but now to get it to work I have to redo my fingerprints every few days, which completely negates the convenience and cost of the phone. I have tried all the tips and they help a little but it always stops working and I have to redo my fingerprints. Does Apple read these comments? Is there an app that might help?

I also have iPhone 5s on day one and it's working since. When it's not registering, I just clean the Home button and it works straight away.
Did you try when registering fingerprint using all angles? It should learn the more you use it.
Did you clean the sensor with a soft cloth?

You'll have to restore your iPhone and all info will be lost.

I've got 2 phones an iphone 3gs i updated it to an ios 6 also an android phone since updating my iphone 3gs to ios 6 it wont let me connect or add vpn configuration or set up internet tethering/ portable hotspot or portable wi-fi but i have no problems connecting or adding my android phone to tethering or portable hotspot

i updated my 4s yesterday, but my phone will not work at all now, and will not turn off. It has a itunes image on the screen with an arrow underneath and what looks like the charger lead. i've had it on charge! is there anything else i can do?
Cconnect it to your computer with the latest version of iTunes installed.

I just got my new i phone 5 s and did all the syncing and backing up for my old iphone 4s and set my 5 up and synced it on itunes. It synced evrything but the contacts and other minor things. those were the only things that really transfered. My apps and all my music did not. Tthe thing is when i just went to go manually start dowmloading a few of the songs that i knew i already bought , itunes is making me pay forthem again. Its not saying instal like it usuall does when you go download something aleady purchased on your itunes account. I think or thought it might have something to do with the fact that i just changed my apple id name right before i got my new phine but my apps all re-downloaded (manually-no syncing) without making me pay for them again. i dont want to have to purchase allllll my songs again. Can someone please help me!! Itried going back to my old id or signing out of this id and signing in as my old apple id but now it wot even get on that oneits likjeit doesnt exist anymore.. And when i plug my old phone it shows in the itunes everything thats supposed to be there but all that doesnt stay in the itunes when i actually un plug it so when i plug my 5 in to my computer none of the stuff is in the store for me to actually transfer it I am so good with technology and this has me stumped please help
No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that. -
Hi, I try to conect Mac Mini from 2009 with my HD Tv Samsung F 6400 . With Mini Dvi conection and adapter to HDMI input in TV I got picture but not sound! I have analog cable from the phones out from mac but imposible to conect to TV? Can you HLP?
You really need a newer Mac Mini with a true HDMI output, because that Mac Mini's DVI output does not support Audio.
You might try a 3.5mm to RCA adapter
from the Mac Mini's headphone jack to the TV's audio input,
but that would require being able to select the Audio input in the TVs menu while using it's HDMI input.
Optionally you could also use an external 2.1 Speaker System or patch the audio from the Mac Mini to your home stereo system to enhance that older Mac Mini's audio. -
I tried to access my itunes account on my new iphone 5s i couldn`t remember my id and password and tried to set upa new account but this failed, but have since found all the id and password for my original account but my phone only comes up with the alternative email i tried to use and i can`t change this,can you help please?

I am trying to instal the latest version of iTunes onto my MacBook Pro, but my computer has been "configuring" the installation since 5pm yesterday and now it is 10:30am. It has never done this before. Can anybody help me out?

This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.
