Got latest version of firefox - can no longer print Prop res DLL not loaded message

Several weeks ago I clicked to update to the latest version of firefox.
Now when I try to print a page from something on the internet I get a message that says Prop Res DLL not loaded. How do I fix it?

Do you have a Lexmark printer?

Copy the Lexmark printer DLL file(s) (LX??PRPR.DLL) from the C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Drivers\W32X86\3 folder to the System32 folder

  • I am getting a "Prop Res DLL not loaded" message when trying to print from a website only while using Firefox, same does not occur using IE. Any suggestions

An attempt to change the "Properties" options prior to printing on my Lexmark X5150 causes the message. Same does not occur if I do the same under Internet Explorer.

I have tried creating the profile again and still get the same problem.  The problem is machine based and not user based.
    Hi GG1234,
If you recreated the Outlook profile and still got the same problem, please try to recreate the Windows Profile:
Log on to client using local admin account->rename the profile folder under c:\users.
By the way, did you try to print the mails in OWA?

  • Want to print an email from Yahoo, "Prop Res DLL not loaded"error message appears and can't print?

When printing an email & selecting printer properties window to change printing color, error message is displayed. "Prop Res DLL not loaded." Never had this problem until 4 months ago. Lexmark tells me it is a Firefox problem, not a printer problem.
Seemed to occur after a Firefox update?

Looks like a problem caused by Lexmark print drivers doing a strange installation (Lexmark makes some of the Dell branded printers). Mozilla isn't going to revert the way Firefox looks for print drivers due to security concerns.

  • Firefox 4. crashes on Print request - "prop res DLL not loaded" - Why?

Happens with every Print request to Lexmark 5100. Brother printer works OK.
It doesn't matter which web site. It will always crash as above. If I request the property sheet for the printer, that is when the DLL not loaded box comes up.
With prior 3. versions the printer works, and will work if I restart Ver 3. and then print (without re-booting the machine)

  • I have a Lexmark x5150 printer, getting error message Prop Res DLL not located when trying to print, just in Black. Contacted Lexmark, determined the Problem is Firefox 4.3 doesn't support this feature, although my browser internet explorer does.

I print shipping labels through Paypal, I want to print just in black ink, but when I use the Lexmark properties to change the printing to just black, getting message Prop Res DLL not located. Spent some time with Lexmark Chat to try and find out what I needed to do to fix this. As they walked me through a couple of things to try, one was to go to Internet Explorer, found I could do the necessary printing, with no problems of getting that error message. So it appears the problem is with Firefox 4.3

Surprising that Lexmark wasn't aware of a problem with their drivers that is not exactly new, or restricted to Firefox. <br />

  • Having trouble upgrading latest version of Firefox. Have attempted this several times and still getting message on main page that I do not have latest version. What do I need to do?

I have attempted to upgrade latest version from main Firefox page, but still have the message on main page that I need to upgrade, that I have not upgraded to latest version. What are the exact steps I need to execute in order to have the latest upgrade? I've clicked on the "upgrade" icon and it has taken me through the steps, but still tells me I'm not upgraded. Very frustrating.

    Hey dogo1,
The latest version of Firefox is 9.0.1, so it looks like your updates have failed. You can look at the Knowledge Base article [[Updating Firefox]] for some troubleshooting steps. Alternatively, you might just want to try installing a fresh copy of the latest version of Firefox. I would look at the Knowledge Base article [[Backing up your information]] first. That way you'll have a backup of all your bookmarks and person information.
Then you should completely uninstall Firefox and then download a new copy from:
    http://www.mozilla.org/firefox/new/
    Hopefully this helps!

  • After installing latest OS update I can no longer print from my iPad to my HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer.  Any suggestions?

After installing latest OS 5.1 update I can no longer print to my HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer?   Suggestions?

Installing the new os may have tricked one of the three devices involved.  If it used to work, it will again.
Reboot the printer.   Reboot the router.  On the pad, general, reset, reset network connections.
Make sure all the devices are on the same wifi network.   Talk nice to it.

  • Latest version of Firefox can't make a secure connection without disabling firewall, why?

    ''dupe of https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/920138''
After upgrading to latest Firefox, can't made a secure connection. It spins and either times out or says connection refused. Running PC Tools Firewall and when I disable it, secure connections work. Tried one tip of removing Firefox from firewall list and then re-adding it, but it didn't help.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • I have downloaded latest edition of Firefox since then why have my BT emails not loaded?ail

A survey said it was not supported on Bt Yahoo. so I switched to Firefox as recommended but before transferring my emails. I uploaded the latest Firefox (5). I tried to transfer my emails but unfortunately this was not accomplished. What have I done wrong?

Firefox 9.0.1 is the latest release version.
Which page do you have set as your Homepage or Start Page?
This - http://www.google.com/firefox - is the old Firefox Start Page used by the Firefox 3.6 and earlier versions of Firefox. Not being maintained by Google and it shows all versions of Firefox as needing to be updated, even pre-release tester versions that are months away from being released to the public at large.
Starting with the Firefox 4 version, Firefox is using a "local" Start Page with the address of '''about:home'''. It looks similar to the old Start Page, but it isn't exactly the same.

  • Links now connect with a version of Firefox showing 2 top red bars, and does not load web pages correctly.

When links are shown to a web page on a document a different version of Firefox appears that has a double line of red rows at the top, and the desired page doesn`t load. To get the required page I need to highlight the link and paste it into my usual search page.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
In Firefox 4 and later [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode Safe mode] disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

  • After update to version 31, Firefox can no longer connect to the web.

After Firefox updated to v31 and I restated Firefox no longer can reach any website, while Chrome and IE continue to work fine.
    Steps I have tried:
    - rebooted Windows

    - starting Firefox with "Add-ons Disabled" (Safe Mode)

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

    As stated above

Your UserAgent string in Firefox is messed up by something that you installed, and it looks like you are using Firefox 3.0.11. <br />
    [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Agent]
type '''about:config''' in the URL bar and hit Enter <br />
''If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.'' <br />
    Filter = '''general.useragent.''' <br />
Right-click the preferences that are '''bold''', one line at a time, and select '''''Reset'''''. <br />
    Then restart Firefox
