Got loaded Ipod as a gift. Help!
My daughter got a loaded Ipod as a gift. How do I sync it with my itunes without losing all of the information. I don't really want to call the gift giver unless I have to.
The person that gave it to her purchased the music

right now, I just want to know if I can charge it
without losing everything.

Loading iPod videos...HELP!!!!
okay, i just got an iPod video from a friend who didnt want his anymore...it already came with a few music videos on it, so i no that part works. But i dont no how to load my own stuff on their! ive been reading some of these topics and they say to download videora...but that did nothing in my case. i tried to enable the video thingy by pressing 'iPod options' but when i click on the videos tab, im unable to click anything on their. WHAT DO I DO!?!
No it puts them in a folder; open Videora; and go to set-up; then go to where it says output videos to check to see where it is sending your convertered videos. After you find where the Videos are simply click and drag them into iTunes and you should see them load.
Also if you don't even know how to convert videos; go to Convert and click on Transcode New Video then it should open a window and you would need to look for the video you want to convert; after you found it select ok; then select start. -

Just got my Ipod as a gift.. I was so excited that I failed to realize my operating system wasn't in accordance for the installation. Initaily my ipod allowed me to download songs from my computer but then on the second night i hooked it up to my computer I feel asleep while charging it. When I woke up and tried to turn it on the folder with the exclamation point was there. I called Apple and explained. I was told all I would have to do is upgrade my operating system( which was okay since I needed to do it anyway ). Once I did that I could do the restore and it would be okay. Well I did the restore after upgrading and it's recognized by the computer and i was able to put music on it. But when I disconnect it from the computer it still shows that folder and exclamation point. I tried the reset thingy several times and nothing. I just want my ipod to work..what should i do????

If you want to use the same library and iTunes installation, then you can just re-connect the iPod to the computer via the USB or Firewire. iTunes will launch and ask you to register the iPod. To manage your music, you now have two further options. You could either:
Use 'Auto-Synch' to transfer the entire music library and playlist selections to your iPod.
OR
Use the 'Manual Synch' option to manually drag and drop the songs and playlists that you want on to your iPod.

^^where do I find those options Auto synch, manual synch, and master synch? And can you provide more information about each of them? (I am a bit of amateur at this.) How can I make a separate library, from my sister's library already in the computer? Like example, Amanda's Library (Thats me.) and well Katie's Library (which is already in comp.) Because I do have a different taste of music. Is there a way or no; because I just want a fresh new library for me and not combining it w/ hers. -

It sounds like you actually have a 2G iPod touch which can only go as high as iOS 4.2.1. See this article to help you identify what model and generation your iPod Touch is.

I just got my iPod yesterday and I've tried to connect to my windows and iTunes n it says error n won't connect sync or anything please help...I've read other people's post that have the same problem.. But I need to know for myself .. It ***** get all excited about a new device and can't even connect it .. Sync it to iTunes ..

You need to contact the people who administer the networks to get the passwords for the networks. If there was such an app as you are asking for then passwords for wifi networks would be worthless.

i just got an ipod touch and downloaded itunes. when i plug my ipod into my computer itunes doesnt read my ipod. i looked it up in 'help' in itunes and it said if itunes doesnt read your device to click on 'device' and hit add. but i dont see a 'device' button anywhere. can anybody help m eplease?

When I got my ipod I made an account with iTunes right from my ipod.Yesterday, I made a password lock to get into my ipod and I couldn't get into it even though I did the correct one. Now it says"connect to iTunes" BUT I can't because I never registered on the computer. I've tried holding the home and sleep/wake button for 10 sec and then only the home for 5sec and that might have reset it, but it didn't help. If any of you guys know what to do so I can unlock it I would appreciate it VERY much.

No app on the iPod is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.
