Got mini, and was trying to download old purchases but it timed out and they are all just sitting there, how do I cancel the downloads?

I got it all synced byt just connecting to my computer instead.

Quit iTunes.
Delete /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTunes.plist
Restart iTunes and see if the *Show at startup box* is at the lower left of the tutorial window.
If so, uncheck it.

Your account names are probably different on the two Macs. If you know the UNIX command line, open a terminal window and run:
$ id
You should see a line that starts with something like this:
uid=501(your_user_id_here)
now check the owner of the folder you copied over:
$ ls -ld Music
drwx------+ 8 some_user_id_here staff 272 May 14 16:08 Music
Do the IDs match? If not, you could change the ownership. Say your id is "johnsmith"
$ chown -R johnsmith Music
Now try and access it with iTunes.

Was this book downloaded using iBooks, or from another application? If it was from iBooks you will need to install that application to delete it.

Such a download is usually saved in an updates or updated folder in the Firefox program/application folder.
You can delete this folder to cancel the download.
If files already have been downloaded then remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder.

Are you talking about the "Legend" panel at the right of the window?

If you're downloading directly on your device, you can't cancel it. In fact, all iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad devices will automatically download iOS updates (when new one is available) when your device is charging and connected to the internet. If you don't want to upgrade, do not install it.

Once an item enters the download queue, the user cannot remove it. Either let it complete the download (easiest) or contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the Contact page (select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting and you'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) and ask them if they'll remove the item(s) from your queue for you.

I recently downloaded the newest version of iTunes and was trying to sync my iPod to my new computer for the first time. Somehow in this process I somehow lost all of my music! It says that I only havce 10 songs unless I'm looking in my library somewhere else. But even on my iPod all of my music is gone! Help someone!!! Can I find what music I used to have?

If the music that was removed from your iPod (which happened as a result of syncing it with a new computer... an iPod is designed to sync with only one library at a time. Connecting it to a new/different iTunes library will erase what is currently on the iPod and replace it with what is in the new library) is no longer in a backup anywhere or another PC, then there is no way to tell what used to be on your iPod.
You'll need to either rerip the tracks you had from CDs back into iTunes or redownload them from iTunes via iCloud if possible.

The hd version is way too big for my iPod, but I can't stop the download, it just says "download error, tap to retry". How do I cancel the hd download so I can rent the SD version? I am having the same problem. I "purchased" Pan Am Season 1 because it was available for free. I did not plan on downloading it, but just storing it in "iCloud". I've rebooted my mac before installing new ios lion, so after everything was done i copied my data back to my mac book pro, then simple clicked on adding to library option in itune and it only synced half of the track and rest simply didnt copy, i thought maybe some error occured and i tryed the same procedure again but its not adding more tracks in it. and i just notice when ever i try play a new song through my data it does not open in itune these are the same tracks and songs i been listening to since ages on different note books and pods..
Help me i've tryed everything but nathing seems to be working. and my itune is uptodated =S

Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps.

Try doing what dynamite said by installing itunes 8. Maybe do a google about the error. Ring microsoft or last resort is a reformat.
