Got my faulty iphone right after purchase. NEED solutions! plz :(
Just bought my new iphone 3GS 16G this afternoon at an apple store in UK.
the pay as your go version which cost me £450
When trying to install the screen protecter back home, I find the same old 'dust in the screen' problem has appeared on my iphone.
Unless this time there is more than dust, I notice a piece of white string along the edge of the screen, like some sort of hair? Sure it is inside the screen, so that no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't get it off.
I am thinking about go to apple store tomorrow to get a replacement.
However, rumors indicate that most likely I will get a refurbished one.
You might say that the refurbished iphone is the same as new one, but to me, replace my newly bought iphone with an refurbished one is highly unacceptable. I have not even used it!
Otherwise, can i return my iphone? Will Apple charge me any 'openbox' fee?
(without open it, how do i know it is faulty!)

Just one thing I need to mention: the new swap phone was produced in week 37 and have an firmware of 3.0.1 while the defective one I bought yesterday was produce in week 42. Pretty strange, right?
Anyway, I am pleased and satisfied with Apple's customer service. It's glad to be an Apple fan.

New phone shows high data usage in My Verizon right after purchase - why?
I purchased a new Galaxy S5 yesterday. We looked at "My Verizon" and saw data usage of 470 MB on the summary, but the phone showed 14 MB. I downloaded the data usage details, and they also showed 14 MB. Today her summary shows 1556 MB, but the detailed data spreadsheet cells add up to 162.49 MB. The phone is on wifi only. What gives? My wife has averaged around 200 MB per month for years. Is this some kind of fraud? We got my daughter a new IPhone and go nailed for a $10 data overage within a 24 hours. There were two half-gig downloads, but there is no way to trace what they were, whether some kind of Apple-induced downloads or what. Verizon customer service gave us an extra gig since the store failed to tell us that the data usage was pro-rated. They also failed to tell my wife to set the phone to wifi only until all of the phone's little data-sucking default applications did their updates. I was totally off contract with 5 phones, and just put 4 new little data-sucking piggy phones back on contract for two years for my family. My own phone number 5 will not be with Verizon. Unless they change their loan-shark practices on data charges, this will be my last contract with Verizon. Their customer support folks are great, but I have a low tolerance for a billing system that cannot be audited for accuracy in data charges.
Regarding your second comment, you are dead-on correct. My daughter's last plan was Virgin with unlimited data and 200 minutes of talk. We failed to sit down together and go over the differences. While I was ultimately responsible for explaining the need to turn off cellular coverage at home, I still feel the need to let my Verizon sales rep know to stress this to customers like us who have lived for years with unlimited data plans.
I am taking your advice and pulling the trigger on Republic tomorrow. They have a referral plan that will give both me and my son $19 after the first payment period ends. I appreciate your feedback! -

annaTo the best of my knowledge, none of Kodak's printers support AirPrint, so you have to use the Kodak app or route the print job through a computer; there are methods for setting up a computer to support AirPrint. Another option is an AirPrint-capable print server to which you could connect your printer. Lantronix makes a couple of models, including one that supports a USB printer:

Dear god, give me any reason why I ever should consider buying apple hardware again if quality management is so bad...I mean I spotted it in two or perhaps three seconds after unboxing it.
What makes me angry now is that this microsim card now doesn't fit into my old phone so when Apple wants to send me another iphone it takes ages (again!)...and I'm without a phone...great :!

I don't know if you can do it at an Apple store. But AT&T will let you order the iPhone 4 and still keep what you have until the new phone arrives. -
Got Noise in the Speaker after plugging external display. plz help.
Hi guys, i just bought the apple Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter, but as soon as i plug it in, i got annoying noise comes out from my speaker.
im using M box Mini as my audio interface.
at first i thought it might be the wiring noise, so i moved the M box away from the external display, and moved the usb cable to varies position, but didnt work..
guys plz help. the noise is just there constantly never give me a break!! really driving me crazy!! cant work with that noise,. plz help guyssorry
i was getting confused with this rig i got here fsb should have been 166 for athlon 2600. as for the not display no boot i just had to wait a little longer as the capitors kept on for ages eventually reseting the bios settings allowing boot.
just tested the radeon seems to be running ok now - no crashes so far maybe 1.9 fixed it

On your new iPhone tap Settings > Store.
Make sure Books is turned ON.
You shouldn't need to re purchase the book > Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store -
I have got a new iphone recently. But I can't restore in app purchases. I have tried many times to reset it threw email and never got the message. I know I'm checking the right email I get your advertising messages there. I'm 85% sure I'm using the right answers! This has been very frustrating! Please help make this right!

The reset link for the security question will send the email to your rescue email account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 - that is the email account that you are checking, and you've checked the spam folder on it as well as the inbox, and tried clicking the reset link again ?
If you aren't receivineg the email then you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 link above to view your rescue email address to check that it's correct, in case you need to use it in the potential future use -

Yep, that's the only message that popped out. Nothing else. Yes, it's running on the latest ios and I still can't restore it. I called apple and they told me it's probably something wrong with their servers. Anyway thanks for the advice.

If your phone was purchased in Vietnam, it will be serviced in Vietnam. If purchased elsewhere, it needs to be returned there for warranty service.
