Got New AC Card, Can I Use old one for Bluetooth

OK, the title pretty much sums up my question.  I got this ASUS wireless adapter
http://www.asus.com/us/Networking/PCEAC68/gallery/
and a new Nighthawk Netgear router.  My question isn't about configuring them, but so far I've not seen BlueTooth mentioned.  My computer, an HP Envy 700-216 apparently uses a wireless card, that is a 150 Mb/sec, that also handles the Bluetooth.
So my question is, can I keep the old card in, and somehow configure it to only do the Blue Tooth function in the computer, while allowing my new AC card, to function as the wireless adapter, in "AC" mode?  And if so, how do you think I'd accomplish this?
Or should I just remove the other one?  Is there a way to deactivate just the wireless portion, without disabling the Bluetooth?
This question was solved.

Hi,
You might run into an IRQ sharing problem with two network cards. I would suggest removing the wireless card and get the AC card working.  If you need to pair Bluetooth devices with your PC then consider trying an USB Bluetooth adapter.

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

  • HT2731 How do I change my credit card information to my old credit card? I use this one for all Apple charges.

How do I post my charges to my current credit card? We've been using this one except for 1 chg I used as a gift. Prefer our WFB bank card to be on all Apple and iTunes Store as well as all the charges as they've been for 4 years. Thanks. Lilaine Hartmann Freeman

    Hi Lilaine Hartmann Freeman,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  This article explains how to update the credit card information for your Apple ID using iTunes:

When you update your credit card number or billing address through the iTunes Store, any equivalent information you might use with iCloud, Apple Store online, iPhoto, or Aperture is also updated.

  • Got new credit card, can't change card details. Sk...

My Skype number is about to expire in 2 days. It is my main work number. My old card is no good - different address and card number. There is no option to change it. I've followed the instructions. I can't cancel my number as it's on all my paperwork. This is rubbish. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi, LexAngel, and welcome to the Community,
You will not lose your Skype Number either if the subscription expires at the end of its term (in your case, two days) or if you cancel the subscription -  the number remains on account for 90 days after the expiration date so you have time to sign in and reactivate.
Please let us start in the same place: when I search on "How do I change my Skype Number payment method," I am directed here:
    https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA12164/how-do-i-cancel-my-skype-number
When I click on Skype Number on my account dash board, I am taken to this screen where I can Change Payment Method, the next screen shows my saved payment details where I can click on an alternate, and click Update.
Please post back where the instructions are incorrect or where the process fails.  I have also noted your report for review by those to whom I report.
    Regards,
    Elaine

  • New library created - can't access old one

I recently bought an i-phone all going well until downloaded new i-phone software as prompted and now i-tunes opens in a new library that is blank and now I can't access the old library with all my songs in. How do I get the old library back and why did this happen in the first place?

Have a look at this article in the Apple Knowledge Base and let us know if it brings you any combination of joy and/or satisfaction.

  • I have just bought a new laptop and want to use this one for my i pod. When i tried to do this it say my i pod is already synced to another computer. How do i 'un-synch' the old one. It does offer to synch the i pod to the new laptop but only for purchas,

The i pod will synch purchased songs to the new library but that would mean losing most of my songs. I tried home share but that only showed the purchased songs too.
I would lie to un-synch the old laptop, de-authorise it and remove i tunes altogether as i want to give it away.
How do i un-synch a library to a particular pc and re synch it to the new one?

That's not how it works. Authorising is for music purchased from iTunes, not for music you've imported from CDsor elsewhere. Music purchased form other suppliers would also not be subject to this authorising procedure.
Do you still have the old computer? If so, you need to copy the iTunes Library from that to the new computer. For example, in Windows XP, I would copy the My Music folder (which contains the iTunes Library, my Amazon MP3 purchases and album artwork) and put that onto an external drive. Then move the drive to the new computer and copy the copied folder onto the new machine thereby replacing the new machine's My Music folder. Then tell iTunes to look at the imported Library.
Obviously, you need to take into account that you have Windows 7 (where I assume the folder names may be different), any other places on you old machine where songs are located and so on.

  • Can't use old appleID for icloud mail on iOS Devices

So I thought I had it beat, finally.  I thought I would just make life easy by using my appleID (a nonfunctioning mac.com address with which I have continued to use to make appstore and itunes purchases) to set up icloud, and then create me.com addresses within that account.
I fought with it all day and finally beat it into submission today, after I discovered that the reason I could not sent mail was nothing to do with me or the account, but to do with the smtp servers not functioning as they should.  Its all working really well on my computer.  It never occurred to me that this would be a problem on my iphone and ipad. These revert to the AppleID which cannot accept email.  *Hitting self upside da head*.
Anybody got a suggestion for this particular problem before I run screaming down the road, tearing out my hair and threatening to go Android instead? (j/k)

I guess there isn't one.  I've gone back to using my mobileme account and sent out yet another email to my friends to rescind the previous one.
AND discovered that Apple has not taken into account that MERGING contact lists will create duplicates.  No option to replace... or to NOT duplicate.
    Its INSANE!!

  • I have a new 4th genreation itouch, backing up old one for new, didn't work!

I have a new 4th generation itouch.  I was told to back up the old 2nd generation itouch and then when I plugged in the new one choose the to use the back up.  Nothing except the wallpaper transferred.  What do I do, none of the apps or games transferred.  I'm afraid to plug in either one.

deggie- thanks. We got his iPod restored and got his library set up. Now the problem I'm having is I did something to my library. It's now blank. I've been careful not to erase my iPod, but even when I plug it in, my library is blank. I tried following the directions for creating separate iTunes libraries for each iPod, but pretty sure I did something wrong, even though I followed the directions step by step.
    What do I do now?

  • Need help installing new hard drive and wiping the old one for Windows XP.

I’ve searched to try and figure out the answer to my question and haven’t been too successful, so hopefully someone can help me out. I have a new Mac Pro that I haven’t even turned it on yet because I’m waiting for some upgrades to show up. Here is what I plan to do, I’m unsure of what I need to do and what order to do it in:
It has a stock 250GB hard drive that I plan to wipe and install Windows XP on. I have a new 750GB drive coming that will run Leopard which will be my primary OS. Once I have this set up, I will probably try running VM Fusion which I assume I can install later on. Here are my questions:
When I put my new blank 750GB drive in to install Leopard, will OS X boot up off the Leopard install disc to then allow me to do the install?
When do I wipe the smaller drive to put Windows on it, before or after I’ve installed Leopard on the new drive? How should I wipe it, using the Bootcamp setup assistant or Disc Utility? If I wipe it after installing Leopard, will I be prompted for which drive to boot from?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't use Windows, but I think the proper order to do things would be this:
First, if your Mac Pro came with Tiger installed, when you start it up for the first time, you'll need to go through some initial setup, create an administrator account, etc. You can go ahead and do this.
Afterwards, you can install your 750 GB drive. Next, you can insert your Leopard disk, and go to System Preferences/Startup Disk to choose to start up from the disk. (Alternatively, if you just choose "Install Mac OS X" from the disk, it will instruct you to restart the mac.)
When the mac boots from the disc, install Leopard on your 750. Once you have that done, and have booted from that drive, you'll be able to erase your 250 in Disk Utility, and then install Windows on it.

  • BlackBerry Leather Holster for 9720? Or can I use the one for Q10

    Hey Guys,
I am looking for a BlackBerry Leather Holster for my 9720 but I dont find any. What you guys are using?
Do you know if the BlackBerry Leather Holster for Q10 work ok with the 9720 or any other BlackBerry Leather Holster that I can use? I really want a BB Holster with a swivel belt clipand the magnetic close thing
Here in my country nobody sell these BlackBerry Holters so I cant make the comparision.
    THX,
    Isaac

I would be very careful when using a holster that's not designed for your specific model of phone. Each BlackBerry holster has the magnet at exactly the right location for that model of phone. Using another phone with it might cause the phone to act up.
If you do an online search for a holster for your exact model, you should be able to find a seller that will ship one to you. That way you won't run into any problems with your phone not going to sleep when it's in the holster.
    Cheers.

    Hello,
the way is written there Activation & deactivation help >>> (see there only to understand the procedure) Common activation problems >>> "Activation limit reached for [product]. This serial number has already been activated on 2 computers." "Maximum activations exceeded."
    >>> How to deactivate or sign out >>> A single license for Adobe software lets you install the applications on two computers—for example, at home and at the office. However, you can use the software on only one computer at any given time.
If you want to install the software on a third computer, deactivate the software on the computer on which you will no longer use the software. Then, activate the software on the new computer.

I checked audio preferences and they are set as they should be. I tried it in all the other older projects and same issue anyone have any experience like this very frustrating.  Can one download old version still ? or can you run both versions on OS10.9.5 ?

Ok, either my question was too long or nobody seems to have an answer. Sad, either way
Here's something I found out in the meantime, maybe this is interesting for somebody or maybe - problem's not totally solved - enough info for any of you to give me further advice.
When I start Logic Core Audio driver de-activated, I can open old songs. Then I save them in a new folder with all audio files and a new name. And I remove all EXS24 instruments as well as the Space Designer. I quit Logic, re-open with Core Audio activated and I can open the song.
Problem no.1: EXS24 instruments don't find the appropriate samples, but EXSMananger Pro did help me with this. Same problem with Space Designer, which doesn't find the impulse responses, connected to a certain preset.
Two questions, every idea would be great!
    - Is there any way to teach Space Designer Presets where to look for impulse respones. I can load IR samples directly and create a new preset, but I can't use my old ones.
    - Is it possible to install Logic from scratch over an existing version? Or how should I de-install everything connected with Logic and then install a fresh version from CD?
    Thank you again,
    Joern

    Hi mshields1162,
Great question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
First, you may want to choose to have the sidebar displayed for familiarity:
    iTunes 11: Frequently used features
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5649
Afterwards, your device should be displayed if connected:
We'll want to click on it, and choose the Music tab at the top. Let's make sure "Sync Music" is checked:
Afterwards, you'll have the option to sync either the entire music library (for your first iPod), or "Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres" (for the secondary device). Upon selecting this option, four larger option boxes will appear allowing you to pick and choose what content will be synced. For audiobooks, you may need to do the above in the "Books" section. For a visual instruction on how to do this, see the following:
iTunes 10: Sync to your iPod

    Thanks,
    Matt M.
