Got new iPhone 6 and backed up all data from iphone 4 to cloud and taking hours to restore to new phone

RRestoring from iCloud backup to iPhone 6 from 4 and when I check cloud storage settings it shows iPhone 4 with all the data and none for new iphone 6 should I delete the iPhone 4 backup

Be aware it can take quite a while for it to restore.
If you need help restoring an iCloud backup
The restore process is taking a long time to finish.
The amount of time needed by the restore process depends on your geographical location and the speed of your Internet connection. Even with a fast Internet connection, the restore process might take 1 to 4 hours per gigabyte to complete
So if you have several gigabytes to restore, it may be an overnight process.
You might try backing up and restoring with a computer. See the section "Use iTunes" in this article:

What I mean is still track my stolen one. I don't know if this will make sense to you but I'm thinking that if I restore the back up data on this phone..on my stolen phone it will like forget the icloud account or something and think this phone is the stolen one so when I go to track the stolen one, it will show that phone as the one I have now because I restored the back up from that phone.

I can't sync my iPhone and back up my data with my computer because iTunes says to enter the passcode into my iPhone to unlock it, but I am unable to unlock and enter in my passcode on my iPhone because the screen is shattered. I have my replacement iPhone with me and I'm not going to activate it until I can sync/get the data from my broken iPhone. I have the envelope to send my broken iPhone back to the Verizon store or whatever so that's not a problem. I just can't sync my old iPhone with my computer.

No I haven't synced my iPhone with the computer I'm currently using. The computer that I normally sync my iPhone with is being repaired.

Now I have a few more questions: If I mail my broken iPhone to Asurion, will I be able to get my data off of my iPhone once Asurion has it? And what will happen to my old iPhone and the data on it if I activate my replacement iPhone? Will my broken iPhone just become de-activated and will the data be erased or lost or something? Could I still sync it (with the computer ir originally synced with) and back up the data?

Transfering All Data from Iphone 3GS to new PC

Dear Customer Support Team,
I'm a proud owner of Iphone 3GS. Recently, My Computer has been crashed destroying all the Data in my Hard drive and therefore I have changed my PC Harddrive.
I have installed the new Itunes into my PC. But, I'm affraid that i will loose all the datas on my Iphone during Sync with Itunes.
Can you please let me know step by step how to proceed without loosing my valuable datas in my Iphone and transfer onto my PC using I Tunes.

Hi VJ and welcome to the Forums,
First, as you will log in with your Apple Store account in iTunes, although you have been syncing with a different computer, you can add/merge your contacts and photos. You can transfer as well your apps.
In regards to music files, you may use some third party software to recover them.
Don't forget to authorize with your account as the first step.

I have this iPhone, I've been asked to upload 3 movies to it, since they failed to do that. It seems like this could be an issue with the device. IT will not connect long enough to extract the data.

Hey guys,
My daughter recently got an iPhone 3GS, and wants to buy herself an iPhone 4S.
I know she plays a lot of games on her 3GS, like Clash Of Clans and things like that.
I was just wondering how to transfer all of those files onto her new phone. Would it be better to go through iCloud and backup there, or to connect to our computer and take a backup, then restore it from there?

Hi everybody, is just this question :
I sold an iphone 4, one years ago, and i performing a restore from itunes and update it to IOS6 (after restore, obviously i not do the backup).
I just forgot to remove my ID from apple Facetime and iMessage, but I changed the password for my account (i think the new guy have insert the personal ID).
I see that iPhone 4 have encryption mode during/after the restore, i can feel sure that my all sensible data are erased from this phone?

Any way to transfer selected data from iphone to iphone?

MY problem is: I bought iPhone 6, when I transfered data from iphone 5 through iTunes, 3G on iphone 6 didnt work, i erased contents and settings, it fixed it, the problem was in the backup file actually!! Now i need a way to transfer SMS, whatsapp messages, viber messages and calls!
icloud backup wont work, whatsapp chat backup stuck forever... And i cant use iTunes again!!!
is there any other way to solve this??

The other music would have to be imported into iTunes again. This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1209 provides more information.

Tthe thing is when i just went to go manually start dowmloading a few of the songs that i knew i already bought , itunes is making me pay forthem again. Its not saying instal like it usuall does when you go download something aleady purchased on your itunes account. I think or thought it might have something to do with the fact that i just changed my apple id name right before i got my new phine but my apps all re-downloaded (manually-no syncing) without making me pay for them again. i dont want to have to purchase allllll my songs again. No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that.

When relaunching the iPhone, I decided to create new profile on the iPhone, thinking I could copy my old contacts from the old profile (as iCloud seems to merge all contacts). When the ne profile was created on the iPhone, the old profile on iTunes disappared without a trace. Please help restore my contacts.

Did you use the Profile Manager or did you use reset to create that new profile?

A reset tries to import some data from the old profile and then moves the profile to the desktop, but if you use the Profile Manager then you need to copy that data yourself to the new profile.
If you've deleted the old profile before making sure that your data has been recovered then you've lost that personal data.

First of all, why did you say yes to Nero Back up before researching what it does with files already on the HDD? When I install Nero, the Back Up is the first thing I disable, it is a nagging pain, there are much better backup programs available. There are several file recovery programs out there to recover deleted files, that is, if that is what happened. Also, if you haven't overwritten the files, so you should be able to find them.
