Yes .Just add the songs to the iTunes library you use for the iPod touch and sync them.

  • Hi, My daughters just got an ipod touch today and I'm having trouble connecting it to my Wi-Fi network!??

    Hi,
My daughters just got an ipod touch today and I'm having trouble connecting it to my Wi-Fi network.  It identifies my wireless connection but then says 'unable to join the network' with the word 'Dismiss' underneath.  Any ideas on what I can do? Thanks!!

    Hi
Thanks for your reply.  I've tried resetting a few times. There is no 'tick' next to the name of my wireless connection so it won't connect at all.  I think I may have to do something with my router as there is an arrow button to press next to my wireless name, this takes me to a screen which asks for IP address, then has options for DHCP   BootP and Static, it asks for Client ID DNS etc - all gobbledegook to me!!   Perhaps my router is blocking the Ipod?
    Thanks anyway!

Has it been disabled via Settings -> General -> Restrictions?
I assume you have checked other pages of apps by swiping to the left from the home screen?

You can usually find the wi-fi password on your router itself if you know the router's ID and password (not the wi-fi password).  You can log into your router by putting its address (usually 192.168.1.1) into your browser's address window.

  • Just got new ipod to replace old one. Can I transfer songs?

I just replaced my broken ipod mini with a new one. I want to transfer my old songs if I can, but I don't know how. When I plug my ipod into my PC it continually says DO NOT DISCONNECT. Also, it told me to restore my ipod, but that it would erase everything I had on there. Itunes still has my old songs, but I can't figure out if or how to transfer them. I click restore but I am still not able to get my songs or buy new ones. Do I need to go through the whole process like I did when I got my first ipod? And is there a way to transfer all my old songs onto my new ipod?

If you have all your songs on iTunes, then you need to setup the new iPod and then sync it to iTunes.
First, make sure that the iPod is fully charged.
iPods come pre-formatted for Mac, so you will need to format it for Windows.
Make sure that you have the latest iPod Updater software
You also need to install the Updater software by double-clicking on the file that downloads.
After you install the Updater to your PC, reboot your computer.
    After rebooting, run the Updater.
Go to: Start ==> Programs ==> iPod.
It should initialize then ask you to connect an iPod.
Connect the iPod when asked (not before) and you should have two options available: Update or Restore.
-- Choose the Restore option and it will update your iPod's firmware to the latest version
    b and
    format your iPod's hard drive.
Disconnect the iPod from the PC when permitted. Reconnect it and iTunes should open and register the iPod. Then sync it as normal.

  • Got new iPod, deleted iTunes, lost music

My friend recently got a new iPod (and turned the old one in for a discount). My friend's new iPod would not sync with old iTunes, so she tried to upgrade it. For some reason it wouldn't. In frustration, she deleted iTunes from Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. Now she realizes that iTunes is gone and her iPod is empty. Is all of her music gone forever? Or 1) is there a remaining library of music or 2) does the iTunes store allow you to download your purchased music again? Thank you for any assistance!

Hi, the music files should still be on the PC. Here is an article on finding lost music.

  • Bought a new iPod Touch TODAY, Do I have to Pay for the upgrade?

So, the the title says it all. Today I bought an iPod touch. Do this entitle me to a free Firmware 2? (because I bought it the next day the Firmware was announced and it's suppossed to come free in new iPod touchs)

A* was gracious to give Touch owners the option to buy firmware update
Unfortunately, being gracious has nothing to do with it. A* is a business. And since the iPhone and iPod Touch share a lot of the same guts, making the 2.0 firmware available for purchase was a no-brainer.
It's also important to recognize that Sarbanes-Oxley and/or US accounting standards do not "force" A* to charge for Touch updates. The rationale behind the fees boils down to users' willingness to pay and A*'s desire to spread iPhone dev costs across multiple product lines.

  • Just got new ipod after old one got stolen. NEW ONE WONT WORK!!!!

So my old ipod got stolen. Yesterday I bought a new nano. I get home, and it turns out my computer cant even find the new ipod. I am using the new one with the same itunes account as the old one. What do I have to do to get the new nano hooked up??

What model was the old iPod?
Have you installed the latest version of iTunes as the Nano needs the latest version.
Are you using a USB 2 port?

  • I have an older mac (OS 10.4.11) but my girls got new ipod shuffles.  They need itunes 10.5, we can't run it.  What are our options?

Oh cool.  I can write more here!
My son is in Texas. We are in Maine.  He sent his sisters new ipod shuffle 2GB.  Our old ipods work fine on itunes 9.0, but these new ones require itunes 10.5 - which we, apparently, cannot run on our mac OS 10.4.11.
The girls each have $25 gift certificates to spend on their music at the itunes store, but we can't use any of it.  What do we do???  Help!!!!

  • Bought a new iPod touch today. Its in version 1.1.4 ???????

I just bought a new iPod Touch, and the software version is 1.1.4. Isnt that supposed to be the new version 2.0 ?? Since this is a new iPod, I bet Apple should sell it with the latest updates!! Or, is this the way it is supposed to be?? Pls let me know on what to do?
    Thanks!

You probably won't be able to find an iPod in a store with 2.0 for a few weeks. Stores have to clear out their stock of iPods with older firmware, first. Good luck getting 2.0 for free

  • ITunes don't sync with brand new iPod 4gen

Me and my sister just bought new iPods nano 4g (8gb). I can sync my with iTunes - absolutely no problems... But her doesn't work! When it's connected on the same computer, i can see her iPod in itunes, but it doesn't sync...it says, that there is something wrong with the disk and asks to upload software 1.0.2...but it doesn't upload!
    Any ideas?...
    please...

Have you tried restoring the iPod? You do this by plugging in the nano then going to the summary tab for it in iTunes. The restore option will be on that tab.
If this doesn't work, then the iPod is should be returned because restore is meant to correct all errors with ipods

  • Have older Ipod for me... spouse got new Ipod

Trying to figure out why a new Ipod keeps crashing my iTunes. I've already reinstalled iTunes 7.7, but when I have the new iPod on the computer and open the iTunes, it crashes again.
Secondly, I'd like to get the new iPod registered, but it won't do that either.
I'd like to keep both of these iPods on the same computer with duplicate music on the two iPods.
Why can't this all be easy?
    Thanks!

Try putting the iPod into Disk Mode.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1363
Then connect it to the computer and run iTunes. If iTunes does not crash, go to the iPod's pane in iTunes and click on Restore. This will erase the iPod and reset it to original settings. Hopefully, that will get it working properly.
If iTunes still crashes, open a +My Computer+ window and see if the iPod is seen as a hard drive. If so, use Windows to reformat (erase) the iPod. Do a full format instead of any option for a quick format. If the formatting procedure completes successfully, run iTunes. If there is no crash, immediately run the Restore procedure to reinstall the iPod's internal software. Then you can set it up as sync it as desired.
If iTunes crashes still, or if the formatting procedures does not complete successfully, there is probably a hardware problem with your iPod.
The iPod should go through a initial setup procedure (in iTunes), but that does not register it. You do it here, if it's not too old of a product.

You can sync them however you want to your one computer.

  • Got new ipod classic in january, not happy with sound quality/volume output.my friends ipod touch is twice as loud!! is mine faulty?

My new ipod classic is only half as loud as my friends ipod touch! Why? Have tried different headphones but can still hear everything else. Not impressed for a product with a £200 price tag! Is it fault? This is my first ipod. Help!!

I ultimately had this problem and thought that it's the iPod's problem, I even went to a reseller's store and asked about the problem...
but it was not even solved :/ , so I had to edit it myself
    1. Identify song that you know is always overloud/low volume ( though you had factory resetted your iPod)
    2. Go to iTunes and right click the particular song on the library and choose 'get info'
    3. Choose 'options' , it's between 'sorting' and 'lyrics'
    4. This is the time when you found that the volume adjustment is more than none or +100% (lower than none if  the song is really low) for the particular song, how do I know that? the songs that I found overloud on my iPod had volume adjustment of +100% or lower...
    5. Adjust the volume to none, (you can observe that your other normal volumed song is none when it comes to volume adjustment) you can always adjust them to your preferred volume..
    6. Sync iPod
    7. Done!! ^.^
I tried this method and it works completely...... true story.
This method is also applicable to classic songs that you found it more awesome to make them louder.
    Best regards!
