Got scammed out of my money!

've made 3 purchases on 8/15/2014 two of the purchases were very small less than 50$, seemed to have gotten those points no problem, made another purchase for 1300$ plus and I received no points, it shows up as a big fat zero, called the 24 hour support and it took over 10 minutes to get a hold of someone, how many people could possiblely be calling this late at night.  She claimed that because I am an employee I don't get the points, but it seems I have received points for every other purchases.  Oh and I forgot to mention they never even gave me my bonus points for the purchases.  It's nice to kn ow that I'm getting scammed out of over 40$. I keep hearing from everyone that best buy offers the greatest service, but why does it take over 2 weeks to get the support ticket and that long for a phone call!  Why does the point go in perfectly fine for smaller purchase, but when i make this one big one, oh no points, also I've read through the faq and some terms and conditions and have not seen anything about being an employee and the points.  Multiple employees say they get points with their discount.

    A week ago i got scammed for my item, he sent me two gifts adding up to $250 he said the money would come through and loads of false evidence i have video proof of false infomation but paypal just dont seem to care about there customers i made a request for him to pay the money is there anyway of paypal getting my $250 or item back.    

    Was it this scam?? If it was marked as an invoice then its probably a scam doing the rounds as its been sent by a buyer and altered to look as though he has paid you.
    Signs its a scam are >>>
    its an invoice BUT sellers send invoices not buyers
    marked as paid
    marked as gift
    says payment won't show in your balance for eg 24 hours
    can't be chargedback.
    Paypal NEVER tell you to send anything until the funds are showing in your paypal account balance.
    Paypal payments are more or less instant.
    Paypal will never tell you that a payment can't be subject to a chargeback.                          *                                                    *                                                 * If so then if you sent the item before you got paid there is not a lot paypal can do about it unfortunately.

  • Got scammed and Skype account seems wiped.

    Hi Skypers,
    I got scammed last year for XXXX$. Before you guys yell at me I understand that it's my fault alone, so yeah. I just wanted to know if a moderator can see when I last logged in or if somebody logged in from another location because I recently have been called by the company I owe the money to that it has to be soon or they'll charge more.
    I was also wondering if anyone or me logged into my account would they be able to wipe my history, conversations, etc. Because the company that "I" owe money would gladly have that conversation to use against the scammer. Is there anyway I can get my message history back or have the recent updates removed that future?

    Hi, Sad MortenseNN, and welcome to the Community,
    Confirming the Community's Moderators have no access to the information you seek.  You would need to file with your local law enforcement agency, who could in turn request the information upon request to Skype in an effort to further their investigation.  The police know how to contact Skype via official channels.
    You will need to create a new account in order to contact Skype Customer Service to recover your first account, as odd as that sounds.  Skype Customer Service may be able to restore your account data and contact list.

    If you tried to restore to your iCloud backup and your photos didn't fully restore, first go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup and make sure it isn't still in the process of restoring.
    If the restore is complete and all your photos weren't restored, all you can do is try restoring the backup again.  You might try the solution posted by ezjules in this discussion: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19518589#19518589.  This involves opening the photos app after the phone restarts and you provide the passwords for your Apple IDs, then leaving it open for the remainder of the restore process.

  • HT5706 I have not used my apple tv in a few years, and just got it out of the bag. I connected it up, and it cannot set date, time.  it also does not interact with the remote.  Could it be as simple as a new batter is needed for remote?

    I have not used my Apple TV in a few years, and just got it out of the bag to use on a new TV.  I connected it up to power and with an HDMI cable toTV.  It attempts to set date and time and cannot.  I cannot get the remote to interact with the box also.  Could it be something as simple as needing a new battery?

    Restore your iTunes library from your most recent backup of it.  If you've not had the foresight to maintain a backup of your library see turingtest2's user tip on Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device, which lists several methods - some using third-party tools - to accomplish this.  There is no facility in iTunes itself to transfer media (other than iTunes Store purchases) from any iDevice to iTunes, and iDevices are not designed or suitable for data storage.

    I got locked out from my iPad mini during my initial setup.  Keep ask me for passcode but I haven't setup one.  Reboot and restart didn't solve the problem, tried connect to iTunes but it won't let me because it requires the passcode.  Tried my Exchanged password, Apple ID password and my iPhone passcode but none work.  Any idea to resolve this?

    Try and force your iPad into Recovery Mode
    1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
    2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
    3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
    Note: Data will be lost.

    Recently I got my Iphone unlocked. Earlier I was using it on ATT n/w. After unlock i am using it in India with a service provider here.
    The problem that I am getting is, the phone was able to pick up the network and am able to make calls and messages. Data plan is still to be activated so cant confirm on that, but all the apps that were there on my phone got wiped out on its own. Since I wasnt sure as to what happend, so I reinstalled the apps today morning. I saw the apps getting installed and then left to get ready for my office. after nearly 30 mins I saw nothing was getting syncronized so disconnected the phone and left for Office. On reaching office when I checked for my usual Apps, I could see only the apple apps and none other available there. Need to know whats the issue and how to resolve it. Please can someone help me on this?

    I can not get to iPhone screen, so no way to get to Settings. That is the problem. When I connect phone to iTunes I get screen asking to insert SIN card. On the phone I'm getting Cinfigure screen asking Launguage , Country or Region, Wi-Fi, ( I can connect to my home wi-fi), and last screen "Activating your iPhone". After two minutes of waiting IM getting message: Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server in temporary unavailable. try connecting to iTunes or try later or contat apple.com/support.
    Like I mention, I went to Bell as well Rogers store and tried to insert active SIM card with no results.

    Do you have OS X and OS 9 installed on your Mac? If so, startup with the Option key depressed. This will open the Startup Manager window. Select the OS you want to start from & click the right arrow.
