Got started on wrong foot with Revel

I got started on the wrong foot with Revel. I thought I was logging into my old Photoshop account so I ended up creating a new Revel account with and old email address and password that I don't want to use. I then uploaded about 2000 pictures. Not realizing that in "Track" view the pictures scroll left to right I couldn't see all my pictures so I uploaded them again thinking that they didn't upload. I now have over 4000 pictures, half of them doubles. How do I fix this? Am I better off asking for the account to be deleted and start over? I have Elements 10. Does Revel work with Elements 12? Am I better off purchasing Elements 12 and working through it?

You can login with your current email address at:

and make changes to your profile here, change email address, password, screen name, etc.
Mobile albums are albums that show in elements 12 but are also connected to the files in Revel. If you delete them or add more from one place, it does the same in the other. Here are som links you might like to see on elements/revel.
I think what happened is that the photos from iphoto were a lower resolution than the others you uploaded, so they look the same but may be in fact different. The recommended way to upload from iphoto is listed below. Is this you you uploaded or did you drag and drop? You could export the two identical looking photos and check the sizes if you want to confirm this.
Import to Revel from iPhoto:
Open Adobe Revel on your Mac and click the + button.
In the Import Photos dialog box, click Photos in the Media area of the list on the left. Select iPhoto, and then select the photos you want to import.
Click Import To Library.

Thanks, Ian. Yeah, that's how I do it now...or with the controls in the left side pane. Still, I would have liked that quick on-the-spot edit capability...especially while sketching.

X starts then locks up with nvidia drivers

I've just done a fresh install of arch 64 which boots to cli and runs fine.
I installed the xorg group and nvidia package, copied over my xorg.conf file from my arch 32 bit setup and started X. I get twm with 3 windows and a clock but the machine locks up and needs a hard reset.
I also tried installing the official nvidia driver package but that caused the same problems and also gave me errors about libGL.so being corrupt so took that off and went back to the arch package.
dbus, acpid and hal are all loaded and running.
I have two 8600GT video cards which are working fine with the same config file in both debian and recently in arch 32 bit.
The Xorg.0.log file is empty so I've not much to go on.
What can I do to debug this further?

i had same preoblem earlier today and im on intel drivers (64bit). worked like a charm yesterday then today when logging into X keyboard and mouse froze, with no help from any logs, althou i run without xorg.conf. tried alot of things and suddenly it worked. sorry i dont know what exactly made it work but thing i looked up was: .xinitrc, rc.conf (removed @ from hal,dbus etc), inittab (had som stupid autostart X that was dodgy, got me into wrong WM), my windowmanager start file, started from both /usr/bin/xinit and startx and then suddenly.. it took me over one hour thou.

Hi Chandra,
this error may occure when you do not install DB2 on the node via db2setup on AIX. I assume you moved DB2 via ACC to this box. DB2 requires AIO. In general db2setup enables it for you. You can check this by issuing the following command: 'lsdev -Cc aio'
The correct output should be like:
aio0 Available Asynchronous I/O (Legacy)
The wrong one with disabled AIO:
aio0 Defined Asynchronous I/O (Legacy)
Use 'smitty aio' to configute AIO for your machine.

How I got ActiveSync/Exchange to work with Iphone3G

So, to the point.
First, my setup:
Windows SBS 2003, Exchange 2003 SP2, default website in IIS is secured by a 3rd party (geotrust) certificate.
Second: My initial attempts
I started off by tapping into the iphone the various details it asks for in this format:
Email add ->[email protected]
Userrname: domain\username - NOTE: I did not use '.local' after the domain and i did use '\' (backslash) to separate them. I notice there has been some discussion over whether to use / or \, i used \.
SSL -> ON
pressed enter, asked for server:
Server-> mail.company.co.uk
pressed enter
'Account Verfication Failed'
I tried countless variations of the above details and nothing worked. Note, the format I've written them out above is the currently workingh details are entered.
Third, getting it to work:
After a while i started to play around with exchange default website settings.
To cut a long story short, I got this working by going to:
IIs -> Websites -> Default Website -> Microsoft ServerActiveSync
Right Click - Properties - Directory Security - IP Address and Domain Name restrictions - EDIT
My current settings were 'all computers denied access except [server ip]'
I changed this to 'all computers GRANTED access'
That was it. It now works
Now, I dont know if this is a serious security mistake I've just made - i need to do some tests from outside the network, so i may revert this action, but for now iphone 3g is syncing.
I'd be happy to answer any questions, or if someone reckons I shouldnt have done the above, then let me know.

Is it on the host machine, or is this assuming you have server admin privileges?

While typing keyboard starts typing wrong letters

I have checked my settings for my keyboard and have changed keyboards. I can open Pagemaker 7 & start typing, all's well. Then after a while it starts typing wrong letters & I can't use my short cuts. I also tryed reloading Pagemaker 7. I have run Malwarebytes, AVG, & Spybot. I can't find anything. It is also doing the same thing In Photoshop. It doesn't do it in any other programs besides Adobe.

I thought it was setup Default input language as English (United States).I checked and there was 2 other settings under keyboard besides US. United states-Dvorak and United States international. So I removed them. Also under Advanced Key Settings and Hot keys for imput languages - Switch between input languages was set up to work. I changed this to none. So far it has worked fine. Today is my long day at work so we'll see. Do you think that was it? How would that have gotten changed? I have done some windows updates recently that caused me problems with my display.

Apple's voice input options are the following:
Dictation
This allows you to speak a phrase and have the system enter it as text in any text field, be it a name and address form or a text editor like Pages or Word. The settings for this service are in the Dictation system preferences, and by default you activate it by pressing the Fn key twice in a row and then speak the desired phrase after you hear the bing sounds.
Speakable Items
This option allows you to somewhat control the Mac's interface elements by speaking key phrases to the system. This option is enabled in the Accessibility system preferences, and is at the bottom of the listed services. In here you can turn on the service and calibrate it to properly hear your voice, set a "listening key" (similar to the Fn key for Dictation), and then enable various command libraries.

ODI-1228:Task SRCSET0 (Loading) fails on the target ORACLE connection ODI_STAGE.
Caused by :Java .sql.SQLException :ORA-30088 :datetime/interval precision is out of range
at oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CTTIoer.processerror(T4CTTIoer.java:462)

Help! Trying to start a family plan with 3 lines and 2 iphones

I am a new customer trying to start a family plan with 3 lines. I only want 2 iphones. However, when I get into the "select phones" screen, it dosen't allow me to choose an iphone.
When I click on the iphone it takes me to a completely different part of the website where it only allows me to buy individual plans for each iphone.

I am having the same problem but only want 2 lines and 1 iPhone. But for you I think you can order the 2 iPhones and checkout and then just add another line. I am not sure but what I got from other people is that would work.

Photoshop Elements agent stops when synchronizing with Revel.

File Sharing on Social Websites or with Revel fail at 98% using PE12

I have been trying to upload a video and it keeps failing at 98% either when I attempt to load the file to a Social Website or when I tried using Revel. I'm unfamiliar with using Revel but I have uploaded several files previously to Youtube and everything was fine. This is the first time I've attempted to do this process with PE12 as I had PE9 before.   Any assistance would be appreciated.   Thank you.

I was able to upload directly to Youtube through their website after creating a movie or file of my timeline. I had hoped to by-pass this extra step by doing the uploading directly from PE12 but after multiple failed attempts, I choose to go the old way and just do it myself.

Please read my experiences dealing with Adobe Revel in Add Media and in the Publish+Share/Private Web Album that is incorporated into Premiere Elements 12.

I felt then and do now that the features were not ready for the inclusion in a video editor.
As for PublishShare/Social Websites you should fare better with YouTube and Vimeo. I am not involved with Facebook so I have not tried the PublishShare/Social Websites/Facebook.
To get a baseline on the uploading situation and your account with any of these websites, I would first look at exporting your Premiere Elements Timeline to a file. See PublishShare/Computer/AVCHD and one of website presets there. Then upload the saved file to the website at the website. Then evaluate the process for your website account when using PublishShare/and one of the Social Websites.
Please check out the above and then let us know the outcome.
Based on your reply, we can decide what next in troubleshooting Premiere Elements Private Web Album and Social Websites.

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

I use Elements 7. will that work with Revel?

I use elelments 7. Will that work with Revel? (whatever that is!) I don't really understand this stuff at all. And my p/w keeps getting rejected - even though I have it written down in my book right in front of me!

Elements will continue to work for editing as it always did. Only version 11 and up of Photoshop Elements will interface with Revel. If you would like to use Revel, then you can upload to Revel from your hard drive for cloud storage and sharing.
