Got through Certification - C_TBW45_70 Application Associate

Hi,
I have finished my certification exam few days back ( got 85% ). I would lie to take this opportunity to thank all the SDNers whose posts have helped me a lots. I thought of starting this thread to share the experience of people who have already written this exam or who is going to do so in near future. BI Certification C_TBW45_70

Could anyone who has taken this certification please give their feedback and experience on the certification?
FYI this was released in May'08 and content is similar to C_TBW45_04S, except that it has 90 questions. If someone who has done both could compare them that will be good. Also is there any difference in the recognition given to the ..._04S "Solution K' vs ..._70 " Application Associate"? Thx!

After you finished installing did you launch Adobe Reader from your /Applications folder and accept EULA(End User License Agreement)?
What is your Adobe Reader version?

BSP doesn't work when opened through MS Office application

Hi Experts,
I developped a bsp application to display directly all originals of a Document Info Record.
The url has got some parameters:
ex:http://maplmqa.sylvania.com:8000/sap/bc/bsp/sap/z_phl_guest/index.htm?dokar=ZPI&doknr=0000000000000000002564164&doktl=EN&dokvr=00
When a user add this url in a MS Word document (also with XLS and PPT) and click on this link, the bsp starts but doesn't do all the process.
When the user copy/paste the same link directly in the address bar of Internet Explorer, it works properly. I tested with open office, the hyperlink works also properly.
So, only hyperlinks which come from MS office have problems (I checked the hyperlink, it's correct).
Important point : the user connect with a guest user (defined in sicf) and not with his own user.
What is the result:
the BSP index.html page opens but it seems that the event handler "OnInitialization" is not executed. And in this event handler, I call the next page doc_list.htm which displays a table.
The user sees a bsp page without any table.
Does somebody already have problems with hyperlinks through MS Office applications ?

I have downloaded the jdbc driver tho. but the error occured: cant find the symbol (class oracledatasource not found) . could anyone here tell me what else should i try to fix it? where should i put the jdbc packages ? anyone's prompt reply would be much appreciated! thanks a lot.

i am actually trying to connect to the XE server through my JSP files.
i download the Oracle jdbc driver packages and put them in the same folder with JSP files. but i did not set the class path tho.
do i have to set the enviroment variables for the classpath of Oracledatasource class? thanks a lot.
another problem i got is installing the JDeveloper, it seemed my computer just got stuck there when installing JDeveloper. my laptop is with 256MB memory tho.

BI Certification (C_TBW45_70) "Documents" competency area

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could help me out with the "Documents" competency area in the Application Associate- Business Intelligence with SAP NetWeaver 7.0 exam.
The detailed page (http://www.sap.com/usa/services/education/certtraining/certificationtest.epx?context=[[C_TBW45_70+|]]|) refers to courses TBW42 or BW306 for this particular topic. However I was not able to find in those handbooks specific sections about BI Documents and Document repository.
As new to the SAP and SDN community I'd greatly appreciate any direction or advice in this matter.

Study guide for the 2014 edition of HANA certified application associate?

I am looking to work towards the HANA certified application associate certification. Is there a study guide available or will be available? I was only able to find one for the 2013 edition, and I m not sure if that is sufficient studying material for the 2014 edition.

If the data is on a remote server (for example, PHP running on a web server, talking to a MySQL server) then you do this in an AIR application the same way you would do it with any Flex application (or ajax application, if you're building your AIR app in HTML/JS).
That's a broad answer, but in fact there are lots of ways to communicate between Flex and PHP. The most common and best in most cases is to use AMFPHP (http://amfphp.org/) or the new ZEND AMF support in the Zend Framework.

Known bug. Quit the Camera App, double-tap the home key and delete Camera from the recent apps bar. Fire it up again, should be good.

Finder got an error. Application not running (-600)

I have a LaunchAgent that calls a shell script, at login. The shell script runs and determines the users AD container and then will runn the correct applescript application depending on the AD Container. The applescript applications simply mount up the users network volumes, runs a few do shell scripts and then exits.
It works and has been working for quite some time, under 10.5.x, 10.6.x, 10.7.x and even 10.8.x. But I have started getting a few users who are getting a rather odd message in the logs that the script creates and I can't really find anything on the error message.
"Finder got an error. Application not running (-600)"
If I log the user in and run the following at the command line:
launchctl unload name.of.plist
It will unload the launchagent.
If I type this at the commane line:
launchctl load name.of.plist
It works perfectly. No errors.
I can manually run the shell script it calls and that works fine.
I can also manually double click the apps and those run fine.
I've changed the permissions, I've recopied, re-imaged, but I can not figure out why the script won't sometimes and gives me that error message.
Has anyone seen this error message before and what I can try to do to fix it?

This sounds like a typical race condition, and it's impossible to solve without seeing the script.
The issue is that your script is targetting some application that isn't available. Ordinarily AppleScript will launch an application if it's not already running, but during launch it's possible that your script is trying to target an application before it can be launched (because the user's envirnment is still loading).
So you need to look at the script to see what it's doing, and what apps it's targeting. The fix might be as simple as adding a few delays to allow the system to finish logging in, but t's hard to say without more data.

For which, We created and execute the below command line to call Adobe Reader and print the PDF on a printer.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" /T "\\<Application Server>\Report\<TEST.PDF>" "<Printer Name>".
Current Situation: The above command line parameter when executed is working as expected in a User's Workspace.
When executed in a command line on the Application Server, it is working as expected.
But, the same is not working while executing it from Deployed environment.
Software being used: 1. Adobe 11.0 enterprise version. 2. Webshpere Application Server 8.5.5.2.
Please let us know if there is a way to enable trace logs in Adobe Reader to further diagnose this issue.
