Goto A Certain Spot on a Page

I have searched high and low and have not been able to figure
out how to use a button to go to a different part of the page and
stay on the same frame.
What I have is a long page, I need to goto a certain spot on
that page, is there any way to do that?
Any help is appreciated.

Will Photoshop Elements 12 Allow me to Format a Page with a Photo in a certain spot on the page?

Hello, I am a new user and wondering if I bought the wrong software. I bought Photoshop Elements 12. I am trying to set up a page that is 8 1/2" by 11" with a 6" by 6" photo near the top with 1 1/4" blank/white page at the top, left, right and the rest of the page below the photo also blank/white. I cannot figure out how to get the photo where I want on the page. I am needing to get the page "print ready" to take to a print shop, and just cannot figure it out. I was able to set it up exactly as I want in Open Office software in less than 5 minutes, having never used the Open Office Software before. However, the printer says he cannot print from Open Office, wants it thru Photoshop. He knows I have Elements. Considering how intuitively I was able to do it in Open Office and how I have struggled with setting up the page in Elements 12 for several hours, I am wanting to see first if it is possible to use this program to do what I want and if so, will somebody please explain the steps to me! Or tell me if I bought the wrong software and need to give up the struggle! I really would appreciate any time and advice anyone is willing to provide.

I am quite new to the program myself but over the last few weeks editing one particular image I have found that this program will do practically anything I want. I just persevere through each frustration and eventually figure it out. I just wish it were easier to remember what I did to get the result...oh wait, there is a way for that too lol.
I believe you will find it best to have your image on its own layer.
As for the rulers, check to see if it is turned on, I believe that choice would be under the tab at the top labeled VIEW? Not in front of puter right now so not sure exactly.
Also, you might want to check your settings for many of this type of feature in the PREFERENCES area.

My Safari displays text in certains spots on a web page as mixed characters

My Safari displays text in certains spots on a web page as mixed characters. Is there a fix for this or does anyone have an idea what may be going on? I have looked at my fonts and everything seems to be working just fine. I can't quite figure out why this only happens to certain text and not others. But I can't read half of the pages on the web because of this. I can copy the mixed up text out of Safari and past it in another application and the copy is in perfect english then.

I work as a graphic designer so I keep a very clsoe eye on my font library. In fact I don't use font Book, I use Suitcase Fusion. But i went to font book and double checked and I don't have any duplicae fonts in there. Would you have any other ideas?

Trying to make a Link that goes to certain spot on page?

I am making a menu page and im am trying to make links at the top of the page that goto certain parts of the page. I want to put like pizza at the top then when you click it, it goes to the pizza section.

How do i hyperlink to certain portion of a page

I had to start a blog page for every team and from a sports page i made a hyperlink to each different page. instead i would like to just have all information in one page and just put all hyperlinks at top and when clicked on it it goes to that certain portion of the page how do i do that. Ph the name of my website is www.mychamperico.com its in spanish, the sports page is labeled deportes..

iWeb doesn't support anchors.
this is incorrect, iweb supports and generates <a href , see anchor definition:

look at iweb photos page, the thumbnails url is the photos page url appended with #(number)
however, iweb doesn't allow users to add within page anchors.
But Peter Berglund introduced us to a method using HTML snippets in his blog
using HTML Snippets as anchor markers is fine for a simple page.
but what happen when the OP has three anchor markers and other HTML Snippets for video, hit counter and what not.
then next week, the OP needs to add more HTML Snippets for video and what not, plus another dozen anchor markers.... see what I'm getting at?
the OP pretty has much two options:
1) mentally juggles the HTML Snippets and hopefully gets it right.
2) publish the page to a folder, then look at the page source to find which/where and what the HTML Snippets.
this is because you have no control on how iweb assigns id attribute for the HTML Snippets.
that said, you can do away with within page anchor with javascript and http://script.aculo.us/, here is my example:

Is it possible to pin my navigation to the top of the browser until I reach a certain point on the page and then let it continue to scroll normally?

I'm trying to get my navigation to pin to the top of the browser while other scroll effects are taking place, then when it reaches a certain point on the page, I want the navigation to continue moving up and off the screen to allow for the footer to come in. Is this possible?

Je ne vois pas l'utilité du mouvement horizontale (gauche-droite, droite-gauche) et pire encore, par mégarde je fais trop souvent bouger ainsi mon texte et cela m'embête, même me dérange beaucoup. Même que cela me donne même mal au coeur hahahahahaha!
Par contre, ma souris précédente avait le mouvement de défilement du haut en bas et bas en haut et cela par contre m'est très utile. Je voudrais donc savoir s'il existe un moyen de stopper le mouvement de côté mais conserver tout de même la fonction du mouvement haut-bas et bas-haut avec le simple toucher de la souris. Suis-je plus clair? Disons que c'est plus aisé pour moi en français. merci à toi

After installing, boot holding down CMD+s, then when the prompt shows, type in...

Then let it do all 5 of it's things.
Fixes a lot of problems, and besides, if your Mac ever gets to the point it won't Boot... this is a life saver!

Cover same spot on every page

I have a job that is several hundred pages long. Every page is a poor quality scan with a mark on the same spot on every page. I would like to cover this spot on all pages. I tried using the Rectangle Frame Tool with a solid white fill (I go to Swatches then Paper) on the master page. Even if I tell the Rectangle Frame to Bring To Front, it still does not show up on top of all my scans. If I look behind the scans, the Rectangle Frame is there as if I did not tell it to Bring To Front. What am I doing wrong? I was under the impression that anything I put on the Master Page will show on all other pages. Is that correct? Is there a better way to be doing this?

Wouldn't it be simpler to edit the scan in Photoshop and remove the mark? Doing that would remove any possibility of not having the patch when you need it in some other case, or of the patch accidentally winding up in front of something you want to show.

I had a similiar problem.. perhaps my solution will give you an idea. My problem is I was returning a list of records.. when the user clicked more down I added the next 50 records.. but I didn't want them to have to scroll down themselves.. So the tag that generates the records inserted a specific id on the row I wanted to start with and then I used the following javascript to scroll down (all of this was in a nested scrollable div tag) This solution works in both FF and IE.

} So for you you could put an ID on the container that contains the tabs.. then when the page loads have javascript fire that scrolls the page down to that element... You will of course have to make sure you have some value on the form or in the session that you can use to tell you it is infact a tab change, so that it doesn't scroll down there all the time.
That may not help, but it might get you thinking in the right directions..

Navigation Bar keeps showing up in different spots on my pages? Why?

Hello I have a question and hope anyone can helpe me on this.
Im designing a photograhy website for myself. When I add the navagation bar in my bottom Master page, then of course it shows up in my top ( A-Master pages ). But here is my problem, when I hit preview to take a look
my navagation bar is in different spots on my pages. For example, Preview homepage in center of my website instead on being at the bottom of the site where i want it. The on the second page is on top of my page and not at the bottom
where 1 want it.
When I design it in ( Design mode ) looks great but when I hit preview Navagation Baar is in different spot. I tried figuring it out myself but no clue I even tried searching on-line nothing that can maybe help me.
I hope someone can tell me what Im missing, this really means alot if someone can help me where Im doing wrong at.

I think it is just a Firefox issue. . .will post again if it is still an issue once I reinstall Firefox on my Mac.

Camera zoom to certain spot

Hello all I have a large image in in a smaller composition and I'm trying to zoom in on a certain spot but the camera zooms only on the center. I tried moving the anchor point but that didn't work. Is it possible to zoom in wherever you want to without position keyframes?

If you're trying to animate the camera zoom control you have two options. First, have the camera orientation set to point of interest. Now the point of interest points to the center of the frame. Change the position of the point of interest and you change the framing of the zoom. It is difficult to see and animate this point. You can simplify the process by attaching the point of interest of the camera to a null using an expression. Simply hold down the Alt/option key and click the stopwatch variable for point of interest in the timeline and then drag the pickwhip to the position property of a 3D null.
The second option is to have the camera orientation turned off and use the orientation or rotation controls to point the camera where you want it to look.
Neither of these options is as easy as simply animating the position of the camera. Information on basic expressions, camera orientation and animating in 3D space is in the help files.

You must have Office 2004 which is a PPC-only suite and will not work in Lion. You need to upgrade to Office 2011 - Mactopia - or you can try the freeware suite, Libre Office, that is functionally similar to Office 2007 for Windows except it works on Lion.

On certain web sites the page opens then over runs to a blank screen with the same address and stopped showing on the status line

When trying to access certain web pages the browser finds and loads the page then 'over rides' to a blank screen. The page address doesn't seem to change but the tab shows continued 'loading' The status bar at the bottom shows either 'stopped' or 'done'. return re-loads the page then over runs again. Reload does nothing. Usually its a hyperlink from one page to another. It seems random.
Recently it has started to over run into a 'search' type page ie. local yellow pages, local cable company, heavy equipment sales, and things like that.

It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
