  • Third Party Processing in SRM 4.0

    Hi,
We are working on Third Party Processing in SRM4.0 & SAP R/3 4.7.
We were able to transfer the Third party Requisition from Backend R/3 to SRM 4.0 Sourcing Cockpit as an External Requirement.
When we try to process the Third Party External Requirement to create a PO in Sourcing Cockpit, the system is not identifying the Customer Number as a Business Partner in SRM 4.0 and it is throwing a dump with the error message <b>'Partner xxxxxxxxxx not found'</b>
Please help us to understand the procedure for replicating the Backend R/3 Customer Masters and its Address into SRM 4.0
Where can i find documentation for Third Party Processing in SRM 4.0 as i could not find anything in SAP Help
Please do let me know if you need any details/clarifications
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Vitthavat,
All you have done is fine.
As per you SO - PR is already automated, now to automate PO creation from PR:
    Do the following thing:
    1. Activate u2018Automatic PO' indicator for material master
    2. Activate u2018Automatic PO' indicator for vendor master
    3. The purchase requisitions with vendor assignments are converted into POs by a batch job using transaction ME59/ME59N and ABAP program with requisite parameters.
This ensures automatic creation of POs.
So result: When SO is saved PR and corresponding PO will be generated automatically.
    Your problem will be solved.

    Hi,
At the time of Confirmation, status message shows  " Error in Process " in SRM.
So please suggest the solution & the possible cause for the Error.
    Thanks,

Pl goto RZ20, SAP Enterprise Buyer monitor--confirmation and open the alerts.
All error logs have to be there. How will you analyse otherwise as to what went wrong?
Have you done the partner profile settings for confirmation? Defined ports in SRM? Are you on classic/extended classic?

    Hi Kiran,
    Many Thanks for the reply.
I would like to inform you that its a Development server and just one n a half month back it was working perfectly fine.
Suddenly it started giving the problem although the Last PO which was approved and posted to backend was on 27.10.2010 ( i.e. In the month of October2010) successfully.
I am supprised like how come there is a need of applying SAP note on this since it was working perfectly fine one and half month before .
Well we have craeted SC and PO craeted successfully till 27th October 2010 , after that we have tried now in the month of dec its giving the Error in Process PO .
Well we have found the below notes :-
Seems to some OSS Note is missing in either you R/3 backend or the SRM system ->
    Note 841021 - Manual price entered disappears - error 06 218
Note 932236 - BAPI_PO_CREATE1: Purchase order price unit not transferred
Note 580225 - Purchasing BAPIs: Conditions and pricing
Note 853970 - BAPI_PO_CREATE1: Net price is not transferred
Note 571860 - BAPI_PO_CREATE1: Price is not transferred
    Note 487605 - ME21N: 06 218 'Net price must be greater than 0'.
Can you please advice which one you were taking about ?
Or is there any other way apart from applying SAP notes ?

  • MRP Procurement process

    Hello Team ,
I am looking for the correct SAP business practice of MRP procurement process for existing setup.
Current setup : Demand is based on the sales / market demand based on which material is planned . Sales order / Production order are posted which created demand and the daily run MRP creates PR which goes for Release strategy . Once PR is released , then PO is created . As the demand fluctuates , some of the PR's get deleted by the new MRP run. Release strategy exist for MRP PR's greater than $X i.e.PR created more than X $ only will go for Release strategy .
Current Issues : PR created with MRP less than X has no release strategy , and buyer converts the PR into PO . With  the  new MRP run , PR gets changed and has $ value more X value which now has Release strategy determined in PR . So now the issue is that the PR is unreleased & PO is already created .
Business wants to keep changing the existing PR after MRP run as they don't want to overstock parts for which the demand did not exist .
I am sure there are lot of other companies who will have this constraints from business demands and wanted to confirm how the MRP settings are maintained for PR .I am open to have new process also to fix this issue.
    Appreciate your help in this
    Lawrei

Well it sounds like the demand plans (independent requirements) are not credible to the raw material planners/buyers. They think its unrealistically high and are balking at buying the raw material quantities that MRP calculating.
MRP will automatically control stock levels through the safety stock.
There is no point in rejecting P reqs generated from MRP without addressing the safety stock and /or demand. MRP will just replace the requisition quantity on the next run. This will cause purchase requisition quantities to 'stack up' at the start of the time horizon.
To have a bit cleaner process, you could try introducing a planning time fence. Requisitions within the fence are fixed. New requisitions are scheduled after the time fence. MRP will suggest cancelling requisitions if demand drops. The planner can adjust requisitions within the time fence manually if needed. Planners need to be able to do this - it's a big part of their jobs!
Another thing you can do is keep the replenishment proposal as planned orders for as long as possible (via the opening period). Only have requisitions created for a short horizon during which purchasing will quickly turn these into POs.

  • Full Procurement process of a depot plant

    Dear Friends,
Kindly tell me the full procurement process of a depot plant with excise. For normal plant the process is maintain chap id and vendor excise through J1ID , maintain condition record(FV11), create PO with tax code, Capture Excise in MIGO and Post through J1IEX(Or through MIGO capture and Post), then IV through MIRO.
Like this pl tell me what will be the steps for depot.
Also pl let me know is there any configuration difference from normal plant ? or any configuration will be left for depot  or any additional configuration is there for depot.
    Regards,
    Ashok

    hi,
u have to maintain the plant as a depot under the menu path:
SPRO > IMG > LOGISTIC GENERAL > TAX ON GOODS MOVEMENTS > INDIA > BASIC SETTINGS > MAINTAIN PLANT SETTINGS.
here u have tick check box for depot for the plant u want to maintain as a depot.
then u have to check the settings under the menu path:
SPRO > IMG > LOGISTIC GENERAL > TAX ON GOODS MOVEMENTS > INDIA > BASIC SETTINGS > MAINTAIN EXCISE GROUPS.
here u have to tick the check box for depot indicator, folio numbbers and depot excise invoice.
In Tax on Goods Movements -India -Basic Settings -Maintain Excise Registrations against the Depot Excise Registration
    2. Maintain Plant Settings for Excisable Depot , maintain a Tick in Depot option
    3. Tax on Goods Movements - India -Basic Settings -Maintain Excise Groups -> Tick Depot Settings and MIGO settings
    4. Create Series group against Excise Registration and tick on No Utilization.
For Non Excisable Depot , you need not do any CIN setting , just create a plan

    in SAP XI 7.0 SLD.
Please, Suggest the solution to solve this problem.

    Hi Prateek,
I am doing Plant driven procurement service enablement scenario by using XI 7.0, for this,
we are integrating MM & SRM SUS Through XI 7.0 (MM -- XI-- SRM SUS).
    For doing this Scenario,
    1. Downloaded XI Content for SRM
    2. Imported  XI Content into the IR
3.After importing, Plan_Driven_Procurement_SupplierEnablement Scenario was enabled.
Here, MM side SWCV is R/3 4.6 is available by default. but in my case i need to change to ECC 6.0(bcoz,currently we r using ECC 6.0 version )
In SLD, there is no ECC 6.0 version.
So, how to solve this issue.
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Procurement Card in SRM 5.0 Classic Scenario

    2. If yes, then what are the steps involved to get P-card as payment option in SC and P-card settlement? (backend is ECC6.0)

  • Debug UP2 processes in SRM

    Hi,
In SRM few of the transactions use the UP2 type process for update that cannot be debugged like the normal once. For example ,in a extended classic scenario ,when you create a shopping cart and set a break point in the implementation of BADI "BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI",it does not break there.
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to debug UP2 processes in SRM.
    We are using SRM4.0 SP8.

    Hi Raghu,
BADI BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI  is called during the transfer, which is done at update task FM BBP_PD_PO_TRANSFER_EXEC_V2
To go in the debug mode, you need to execute BBP_PD_PO_TRANSFER_EXEC manually with the PO guid
Function BBP_PD_PO_TRANSFER_EXEC is exactly the starting point: it calls SPOOL_DPO_TRANSFER, after setting the PO status to "in transfer to execution system". You just have to enter the GUID.
SPOOL_DPO_TRANSFER will later call the META_DPO_TRANSFER... and finally a BDPOTRANSFER ( = depends on your R/3 backend release)
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Yann (thx Chris )

    Hello,
    Hello,
Procurement of Excisable Material from a 2nd Stage Dealer ( Trading ).
    Data Used :
    Material : TEST101
    Vendor : 6
Assumptions : Material price (inclusive of ED & Ecess) : 100
    VAT (Deductible) @ 4% : 4
Amount Payable to Vendor : 104.00
Actual Excise Invoice received for amount : 25
    Actual Ecess amount : 00.50
    Total Cenvat Recd. : 25.50
Amount to be loaded on Inventory : 74.50
    1. While creation of PO for such cases maintain the u201CZerou201D tax code u2013 usually V0.and GR based IV is ticked.
    2. While doing GR through MIGO, enter the actual Excise duty & Education Cess in the respective cells of Excise Tab in Item details. Also ensure to change the Base value to PO value u2013 (BED+Ecess)
    3. In the Excise Header Tab maintain Excise Invoice No. and Date & click on the icon for MRP tick.
Check on MRP Indicator. This check ensures that the value going on inventory is after deducting the Excise Duty & ECess.
4.In MIRO Screen, change the Amount to the Base Amount.
Ensure that the Calculate tax Indicator is checked and the value populated in Tax Amount is = ED maintained in GR + Ecess maintained in GR + Vat maintained in PO(thru Condition record)
