GP and CRM link

Hi,
I'm new to CAF and would appreciate if anyone could advise me on how to implement a scenario with CAF and CRM system as below:
Customers are sent emails with pdf form attached and after filling/maintaining forms, they should submit the form back to CRM system
I understand that the above emailing scenario can be achieved by GP eg. Job Application Process tutorial. However,
1) How does GP actually link to the CRM system?
2) Can the Adobe form submitted back to the system create a Business Partner in CRM system?

1) GP integrates to SAP CRM as SAP system. Setup SAP endpoint via the GP Administration view for your CRM system
2) Adobe form can send data back to GP and GP can commit to CRM or you can also use adobe form to send directly to CRM BP web service or bapi. it's up to you.

  • Communication between ECC and CRM

    Hello,
I am in phase of showing communication between SAP CRM 5.0 and ECC 6.0.
I am struggling with finding some simple transactions which are common in both, with which I can show correct connectivity between ECC and CRM.
I need to save some data from CRM and access the same via transaction within ECC, save some data via ECC and access it via CRM. I already established RFC link between ECC and CRM.
Probably communication between SD module of ECC with CRM.
Can you please help me out with this, a clue/correct direction will be of very helpful. Basically I want to know, what transaction I can use for same.
    Any help is really appreciated.
    Thanks
    -Vishal

    Hi Glenn,
I followed all steps in document mentioned above. In the end during execution of transaction I selected appropriate source and destination, when I click start transfer objects, it gets stuck in waiting phase.
Among those steps I was not able to perform step#10. Creating Subscriptions for OLTP. My ERP is not displaying this option under subscription wizard. Should it be reason for not starting transfer ? I also do not see ERP logon screen when I select transfer.
My another question is when transfer will complete, where I'll be able to see transferred objects within ERP database ?
    Thanks
    -Vishal

  • Services in CRM 4.0 and CRM 5.0

    hi
what are the adv and dis-advantages of implementing CRM 4.0 / CRM 5.0
what are the services available in CRM 4.0 and what are the services offered in CRM 5.0
I checked the release notes but doesn't pin point the actual comparison.  the release notes just shows the features.....
appreciate, if anyone can share presentations or pdfs.
    thanks. krishnan

    Hi Krishnan,
To know the difference between CRM 4.0 and 5.0 you should check the release notes on CRM5.0 available on https://websmp204.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000429833&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&
There are several functional improvements, new functionalities and better integration points with SAP R/3 - SAP ECC ,
easier usage of IC Webclient, new things within Marketing and campaign management.
Also CRM 5.0 has added many new features like:
    - Visit planning
    - Warrenty Claims
    - Enhanced and easy configurable/ customizable IC Webclient
    - Concept of Marketing Organisation
Between CRM 5.0 and CRM 5.1 main change is in architecture. CRM 5.1 is UI based, you have view, component concepts.
(see SAP Service Marketplace quick link “crm-inst” → mySAP CRM → SAP CRM 2006s → SAP CRM 5.1 Cross Component → Master Guide SAP CRM 2006s).
    Currently CRM 5.2 has also been released.CRM 5.0 have a Mainstream-Maintainence till 31.03.2011.

  • Contact persons in R/3 and CRM

    Hi,
Contact persons in R/3 and CRM use different sets of number ranges. So in order to find correct R/3 contact person for same contact person in CRM, we need to find the correlation in between both,
Can any one can suggest the exact table that links partner numbers of contact person in CRM and R/3.
    thanks
    Ajay

    Hi Ajay,
    R/3 table CRMPARNR
Field CONTACT_NO is the number of the contact person in R/3 (table KNVK),
ORG_GUID guid of the org in CRM,
PERSON_GUID guid of the CP in CRM

  • Sap and crm,sap and sem.

    hi sap gurus,
I am in australia and searching for jobs in sap bw field.I came across a lot of situations like the clients want sap bw with strong knowledge in  CRM AND also SAP BW with strong knowledge of SEM.But i have knowledge in sap bw,sd,mm.
can any body have any idea how the  link works  sap bw and crm and also sap bw and SEM.
please help me in this aspect.

    Hi Narendra;
The other functionalities on SAP you have mentions are different tools developed by sap.
for example: SEM(Strategic Enterprise Mgt) also has different functionalities inside it like BPS, BCS, CPM..etc. Most probably they are referring to BPS because its a planning tool and from 3.5 version of BW onwards its integrated with BW boxes. You will be dealing with planning data..transactional cube.
    try going: http://service.sap.com/sem
CRM(Customer Relationtionship Mgt) here you will be working with data to mange the relation of the customer in the industries...and they might have requirements that you need to bring the data from CRM to BW for reporting...http://service.sap.com/crm
    Hope this helps.

  • Crm-action and crm table document needed

    Hi ALL,
I need  documents on CRM- Action and CRM - table , if anybody has please send it to the following id : [email protected],it wll be great helpful.
    Thanks in advance
    Satya

    hello,
Most of the replication of documents from CRM to ECC is done via the messaging BDOCs which are in CRM Middleware. The analysis of these will give you the mapping of fields.
Some general rules in identifying tables in CRM.
CRMM  - tables starting prefix M is for Master data
CRMD - tables starting prefix D is for the Document data or transaction data
CRMC - tables starting prefix C are for customizing data
    for example,
CRMD_ORDERADM_H contains transaction data for transaction types (document types)
Below are some of the links where data is transferred to R/3.Analysis of this will help.

  • Key difference between CRM 4.0 and CRM 5.0

    Hy All gurus...
I just started in CRM 5.0 and i was wondering what is the difference in between CRM 4.0 And CRM 5.0 and other version of CRM.
If any body can send me sme useful links that will be a great help...
    Thanks In advance

    Hy,
THE Messages and Alert are independent of JAVA in CRM 5.0
where as in CRM 4.0 they are dependent on java.
Difference i found is of interaction at an height level with user,
The IC WebClient Architecture section was
redesigned completely to offer a better
    interaction to the IC WebClient
    technology.
Abstract graphics explain how the technical components of the IC WebClient play together in the
    architecture concept.
To handle indvidual objects , Wide seen has been covered to get a clear vision in comparision to crm 4.0.

  • How to deploy an Azure server to host Dynamics GP and CRM

I am looking for a step by step guide to Azure and how to setup Dynamics GP and CRM. We are looking to move our GP clients to Azure and I want to perform a test migration. So I need to know how to start. I need to create the Azure site, create a server
with a domain, install SQL and then finally GP and CRM. If anyone can point to the appropriate links or training videos that would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Florent,
I strongly recommend you follow the sap solution manager  E2E RCA setup guide.
I registered the system on solution manager as abap system.
Keep in mind that you have to perform some additional steps for java instances and also check sap prereq. for PI. I had two apply some notes...
    Cheers

  • External access to Portal and CRM B2B

    Hi,
We have the sap portal and also CRM Java ..we have deployed the CRM Business package on the portal and used the portal IView to call the CRM java application. What is the best way to expose both the portal and CRM java to the external users?
I know we can achieve this using sap webdisatcher, but there are certain limitation in sap webdispatcher when dealing with two separte host name..so please let me know how expose both portal and crm to the external users.
    Thanks

First of all you need to have your network infrastructure in terms of Security Zones, SAP has a standard recommendation that I have always use when possible for growing your landscape and exposing your Solutions to either internal or external users:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/9d/44d7bc73ddce4f96f09de874350e78/content.htm
Depending on your security needs you can have 2 portals 1 external facing portal and one internal facing portal, or just 1 portal installed in the Inner DMZ , there is no formula is what your Architects prefer and there are  pros and cons in any scenario.
Now answering your question you do not need to expose both instances (CRM and Portal)  you only need to expose SAP Portal  because the  purpose of Portal is to provide a single point of access to your u201Cbackendu201D solutions in your case.   So Sap Web Dispatcher will be good choice or you can use a Hardware Load Balancing, if this is for external users then you need HA.
    Hope this helps.

  • Why text and button links on a PDF do not work in the iPad

I have Acrobat Pro 9.2.3 and InDesign CS5.
I've tried creating both button and text links directly from InDesign (Window > Interactive > Hyperlinks). I then export the multi-page PDF with "Acrobat 6 and Above" selected as well as the "Hyperlinks" and "Interactive Elements" checked. When I open the PDF in my iPad, none of the text or button links work.
    Then . . .
I tried opening the same multi-page PDF in Acrobat Pro, and manually created the link boxes (Tools > Advanced Editing > Link Tool). The iPad still can't interprete these two interactive elements.
Any clues what I'm doing wrong?

Try exporting as ePub - now test inside Digital Editions and if OK - drag the file into iTunes and synch to iPhone/iPad.
It's probably a Preview issue as mentioned but exporting to ePub is good fun!
