App-V 5 SP2 ODT Office 2013 32bit Package Import error
I have used ODT to package Office 2013/Project/Visio. The package is created without any errors. When I go to import the package using App-V Management Console i get the below error.
"There were problems interacting with the database on the server. The error was: String or binary data would be truncated.
The statement has been terminated."
There are no further errors and the import fails.
I have successfully imported the 64bit version using the exact same steps without issue. Can someone please advise?Thanks for the escalation Brandon. Yes i have created the 32bit version without the Languages, and this has worked. so it looks as if there is a String that is being created which may exceed the limits of the Database.
I was able to open the Appv file in Sequencer and just change the name using that. I am now able to publish the App. I still find it strange that ODT allows the file to be created with such a long string and then throw an error. -
OWB package import error. PRS-00318. In need of urgent help
Hello everyone,
I am having a weird error when i try to import a package in owb. Saying "PRS-00318: SQL Error encountered while updating CMPALLFOLDERFCO for key ********************************* Please contact Oracle Support with the stack trace and details on how to reproduce it. " ( neglect the ** i didnt want to write that bit )
This started to happen a couple of days ago. When i try to import a package or re-import them it seems like the procedures in the packages all seems like they are requiring a parameter ( i understand it in the import window, the paranthesis after the procedure name like procudre_name( ) ) But actually there is not a parameter required for the procedure to work. It is not declared at all. When i hit the import button it gives me the error below.

Well i have no idea what is going on. Even the existing packages ( that are imported long before this error ocurred ) are showing the procedures with parameters.
Anyone having any idea how to solve this problem ?
Your help would be appreciated.finally sorted it out! it had something to do with the ArrayCollection in the mx.collections not being linked to the AS hence the error. so heres what i did:
import mx.collections.ArrayCollection;
import flash.net.registerClassAlias;
registerClassAlias("flex.messaging.io.ArrayCollection", ArrayCollection);
i imported the ArrayCollection class and the registerClassAlias class into the AS i was using and then registered the alias then voila! error gone! -

Transport Package Import Error/Warning
Hi Experts,
I Created a New Transport Package (SE80) in BI Development and Imported to BI Test System.
I am getting the below Transport warning...What does it mean...can i ignore it
ABAP Dictionary Activation---Result '(4) Ended with Warning'
Log:
No object to be deleted and activated exists
Thankshi,
i hope this is due to no objects selected in the package.
try including any object in the package and transport to the testing server and you may not get this warning too.

Import Package statement - Error
I have read a thread at Developer Forum on Package - import statement erroe and saw the advice to compile the package by using the command:
javac -classpath %CLASSPATH%;[your path to the risk classes] <source files to compile>
I have done that and I have also included the path on the PATH environment variable (Windows XT), but it still does not work.
Why JBUILDER does not allow an import of an extrenal package?Post some simple code that demostrates what your problem is. Include the complete error message. I personally don't know anything about JBuilder, but there people on the forum that do.

Package/Import statements - javac gives errors while Netbeans does not
I do not know why, but when I compile/run my code with the statements
package TavisProject;
import TavisProject.LabelAndButtonFrame;
in Netbeans, everything works properly as it should. However, if I try to compile the SAME files with javac at the cmd line, I get the errors:
C:\FinalProject\src\TavisProject>javac Main.java
Main.java:22: cannot find symbol
symbol : class LabelAndButtonFrame
location: class TavisProject.Main
LabelAndButtonFrame labelAndButtonFrame = new LabelAndButtonFram
e(); // Instantiates/calls labelAndButtonFrame
^
Main.java:22: cannot find symbol
symbol : class LabelAndButtonFrame
location: class TavisProject.Main
LabelAndButtonFrame labelAndButtonFrame = new LabelAndButtonFram
e(); // Instantiates/calls labelAndButtonFrame
^
2 errors
Also, if you comment out the statements in both files, everything compiles fine with javac. Also, please note that LabelAndButtonFrame.java is in the same folder as Main.java.
I'm trying to get a batch file to work properly that will compile/create javadoc, but I can't get it to work without figuring
out what the deal is with those package/import statments causing problems.
Thanks,
Tavis
The main code is as follows:
package TavisProject;
import TavisProject.LabelAndButtonFrame;
import javax.swing.JFrame;
* @author Tavis Curry
* @version 1.0
* This Class is called MainMethod. It instantiates/calls labelAndButtonFrame.
* Uses javax.swing.JFrame
public class Main
* Main method
* This method will call labeAndButtonFrame, set the default close op,
* set the size of the jframe, and set the jframe to visible
public static void main(String args[]){
LabelAndButtonFrame labelAndButtonFrame = new LabelAndButtonFrame(); // Instantiates/calls labelAndButtonFrame
labelAndButtonFrame.setDefaultCloseOperation( JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE ); // LabelAndButtonFrame will Exit when the X-button is clicked
labelAndButtonFrame.setSize( 550, 70 ); // Sets frame size - width by height
labelAndButtonFrame.setVisible(true); // Shows LabelAndButtonFrame
} // End main method
} // End class LabelAndButtonFrameMessage was edited by:
TC10284Thanks much. That worked.
I had EVERYTHING working except this little thing.
I'm a little confused on why it makes a difference if
I set this however. Why can the compiler not find the
files if they're in the same dir?Because it doesn't find files - it finds classes.
The fact that it can use directories to organize the hierarchy is misleading. That is an easy convention but it doesn't alter the fact that it uses the class path itself along with other rules to find classes (not files.)
>
Also, now that I have to set the classpath, how would
I get this to work inside a batch file that uses env.
variables to locate the base project?
Both the java compiler and the java vm tools support a command line option which allows you to fully specify the class path. -
"Template import error: No VM configure file found" on brand new setup
Previously, I posted Console does not launch OVM 3.1.1, Win7x32 Firefox15/IE8 - Empty .jnlp file which was about VM Console not launching. Since this is a new installation, and it seemed to be a unique problem, I scratched the whole installation and started again from scratch. Everything, including the NFS file server, was re-installed from scratch CD OS installation.
The process is pretty straightforward once you're used to it, and in less than three hours I was ready again to import my first template (a template I had imported before). But now, I submit the the request, and almost immediately the process aborts. (You can see in the information below, that 1 second passes between the Import request (06:32:36) and the failure.)
Thing is, it takes about three minutes, even locally on the web server, to get an index of that large file (tar tzf), and at completion, the vm config file is listed.
Am I misreading the error? My web searches for enlightenment found only one good hit on this error, and in that case it appeared to be an "out of space" issue. In this case, though, I'm importing a 5GB tarfile into a 390GB, otherwise-empty file system, so I don't think that is the issue. The failure in ovs-agent.log is below. What other information may I provide to get to the bottom of this? (Thanks for any guidance/help, of course!)

I'd say the template is corrupt or you only have a partial template.
I did notice the call to the template is based on the short name of the host. Can you confirm the VM manager can access the http path via short name? -

sanathHello,
I have exactly the same issue as you have.
as I checked in the sybase database, actually the index SKAT~001 already exists.
if I run sql statement CREATE INDEX [SKAT~001] ON "SKAT" ("MANDT","SPRAS","MCOD1") with consumers = 3, via Toad or any other tools, it says the index already there.
So i think this error could be ignored, just set ok instead of err in file SAPAPPL0_17.TSK
I SKAT~001 C ok
and then retry to continue the installation steps, it works well.
best regards,

Package-Import statement problem
Greetings JDC Community...
This problem has been driving me insane for over an hour. It's a simple package-import problem. I have a file called DataAddingTest.java which is in my C:\Java\risk\tests\ directory and it has a package statement "package risk.tests;". Then I try to import all of the files I have in the risk directory by using "import risk.*;" and it whines in error that "package risk does not exist". I'm about ready to throw my computer... can someone help me? Thanks for your time.
-Billy MahabirHello again everyone...
It seems all of you have mistaken my problem to some degree. The beginning part of my DataAddingTest.java file reads like this:
// This class tests adding data to the data structures in my Risk(c) game.
package risk.tests;
import risk.*;
DataAddingTest.java is in my C:\Java\risk\tests\ directory. I am trying to import a whole bunch of files from my main risk directory, i.e., C:\Java\risk\. And it is just not working. I have no idea why. I'm pretty sure I have the correct syntax for what I'm doing; it should work. The exact error message I get at compile-time is this:
DataAddingTest.java:5: package risk does not exist
import risk.*;
^
There is indeed a C:\Java\risk\ directory (of course), and it contains many java files, all of which have "package risk;" declared at the top. And yes, I have also compiled those before I try to compile this file. Someone please help! Thanks for everyone's time.

Import Error on iTunes Producer
I have already uploaded succesfully two books on the iBooks platform, using iTunes Producer. However, I am having trouble uploading other titles. After my files pass all validation tools (Apple, Epubcheck and Flightcrew), my book is delivered. Then, by opening the Package History menu, I see an Import Error, with no apparent explanation, or error log I can send to apple. I have already checked for the obvious usual suspects (encoding, manifest, namespaces etc) but I cannot find something wrong. In addition, I have already used the Contact Us form in the iTunes Connect module, but there is no answer from Apple.
Anyone with a similar problem, or a possible solution ?
Best,
NikosSame error here.
First book being uploaded. Book was created using Sigil, assembled with Calibre, and tested with epubcheck and FlightCrew. After iTunes Producer delivers the file, in a few minutes I retrieve the package status and the message is "import error".
I would imagine that a text file with the reason for the import error would not be that difficult to produce. If it is failing, it probably is reaching a condition that is not allowed during import (a condition would be an IF-THEN-ELSE or a CASE statement). At that point the import process should log what happened and send to us so we could correct it.
In the mean time I entered a request on the Contact Us page and I will post here any replies I receive. -

IBooks Author / iTunes Producer Import Error
Looking for some help....
I have now attempted 9 different imports of my iBook Textbook created with iBooks Author - all ended in Import Error. I have scoured the forums and took some community members' advice to:
Change all my video formats to iPhone / iPod 3gs .m4v instead of iPad .m4v (even though the documentation says that iPad .m4v should work)
Made sure there is a preview version of the iBook
Made sure all the Metadata is filled out
The ITMSP package validates successfully in Producer and gives me a green check mark on upload. After watching the package status it goes from Uploading > Uploaded > Internal Processing > to Import Error ever single time. This is beyond frustrating since there is no error log for me to review to have ANY idea what the error is. Please advise!
This is going on over a week now of struggling with this and an entire week of work waisted. I was told it will take about 10 days for the book to be reviewed to get placed in iTunes - BUT I CAN'T EVEN GET IT SUBMITTED!
Please help!I struggled with the same issue for a couple of days earlier this week. My issue was definately related to vido, but not necessarily the format of the videos. It was related to 2 things:
1. We had adjusted the Poster frame from the default to a selectable frame.
2. We had adjusted the start/stop of the video
I deleted the videos that had either of these settings changed and added them back into the book without any adjustments and the Import worked. Unfortuantely, this took me 2 straight days of work to figure out since the error message doesn't tell you anything.
Good luck.
