GP Customize Runtime View

Hi folks,
I've got a problem with the GP Runtime View.
I would like to use it on both occasions:
- showing the overview (with Alerts & Warnings, Processes I own, ...)
- showing a single workitem (with Phase Bar, ... and the workitem)
The problem now is, that this view brings it's own navigation bar with it. Putting this view on a standard portal page, I've got in sum 2 left navigation bars.
I read GP Custom Runtime View, that it is somehow possible to alter this view - but I have no idea how to do this.
My goal would be, to hide the runtime's left navigation in both cases. And to show some of the navigation items (e.g. phase bar) in a header bar. ...and perhaps to do without Custom Views, to keep it simple?
Any help appreciated.
Regards
Daniel

Hi Sreekanth,
Even if you are defining you own runtime view, I'm not sure that you will be able to get rid of this d**n paper clip! I think it is part of the content area and cannot be modified.
There should be a portal page accessible in the PCD under the name "SingleTaskUI".
portal_content/com.sap.pct/platform_add_ons/com.sap.caf.eu.gp.folders.gp/com.sap.caf.eu.gp.folders.iviews/com.sap.caf.eu.gp.folders.singletask/com.sap.caf.eu.gp.iviews.singletaskiview
Hope this helps,
Best regards,
David

  • Configuring the process runtime view

    Hi,
I want to configure the runtime views of our processes so that the bar above the forms (the one with the attachements, and current user, ...) are not shown at all. Is this possible?
    Thanks and regards,
    Aydin Seven

    Hello
You have quite a choice when defining how your process template will look in runtime. You have to go to the Edit mode of the process and then open the Runtime View tab page. Here you can configure the available runtime views. The view you are talking about is the Process Information view i guess. It contains the processor of the current task and the attachment associated with it. I am attaching a link to the document that explains the procedure, as well as the different runtime views:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/cf/9a8041efd21b09e10000000a155106/content.htm
This link (and its sub-topics) explains the runtime process instance work center and you can check which element (e.g. ad hoc items, attachments, process activities) go to which view:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/0d/4a9fea35b34a34931db099bb5cd4e0/content.htm
    Hope that helps
Also, you can customize views and runtime panels using the GP API.

  • How to change the name of (Guided procedure) GP Runtime View?

    Hello all!
At Design time in GP (Guided Procedure), I have added a runtime view at the tab "Runtime Views" named Additional Resources to a GP process.  At runtime, when the process is started,  at the left bar appears the button "Additional Resources". Is there a way to change this name? Any idea can be helpfull :).
    Kindly Regards,
    Luiza

    Hi,
an other solution is change the block property QUERY_DATA_SOURCE_TYPE from "Table" to "Sub-query" , than change at run time the property QUERY_DATA_SOURCE_NAME.
First create block and add items
The QUERY_DATA_SOURCE_NAME will be for ex. "Select 'A' as col1, 'B' AS col2, 'C' as col3 from dual"
Set into items the column name property to col1 , col2 ...
At run time change the query to "Select 'Z' as col1, 'X' as col2 , 'Y' as col3 from dual"
in this way you can change the source of column value.
Caution because if you change value type from varchar2 to date you must cast date into varchar2.
May be that this way is valid only for view data not for insert-update, i don't remember.
    bye

  • Remove the Attachment icon link in GP Process Runtime View

    Hi, SDN Experts.
We find that the "Attachment" icon link actually involves too much "clicks" and "navigation to another views". So, we custom developed a Web Dynpro Component implementing GP Interface, with GP Attachment API to achieve the document upload and attachment purpose. And we also restrict the atatchment to one instead of multiple attachments.
Now, we want to remove the "Atatchment" icon link at the top of the GP Process Runtime View.
In GP Design Time, I tried to configure Runtime View so that it does not displaying the "Attachment" icon link, but I could not find one Generic View available for this option.
I wonder if I can custom configure a new Runtime View that is without the "Attachment" icon link?
Or is that any other alternative I can use to achieve the same purpose, including custom development of the runtime view?
    Thanks,
    KC

    Hi,
After taking sometimes to look at how I may achieve to remove the attachment icon link, it seems like it requires some great effort to create another custom class to replace the existing one.
I wish there is a feature I can just turn on or off of this feature.
Thanks for spending time to reply my message.
I would find another alternative for this.
I will keep this post open for a while, hopefully there is someone able to give me some insight.
    Thanks,
    KC

  • How to add Custom View to GP Runtime Views

    Hi All,
I would like to add custom view to my GP process.
In GP runtime mode the numbers you see on left hand side like "run103" "run002" are confusing to users. I would like to have appropriate name/description instead.
I understand that I can add Custom view to Runtime Views, but when I am editing a process "Add Custom View" button is always disabled.
Why that button is always disabled?
How do I define Custom View for a process?
    Thanks,
    Abhay

    Hi Abhay,
this is a bug in SP7 which is fixed in the last patch. You can download it from the Market Place.

  • Customize Explorer View to Hide Folders with no Children

    Hello,
Could someone point me in the right direction on how I would customize the Explorer view in Siebel to hide folders dynamically? Currently, for each account, all 4 folders are displayed (Accounts, Upward Affiliations, Downward Affiliations, Contact Affiliations). This gets to be a little busy with complex account hierarchies and would be easier for the user for example if there were no affiliations for the account, then the Upward & Downward affiliations folders would not appear.
I have read the applet toggle approach on metalink, but that seems to pertain more to form fields then the inner-workings of the explorer view. Where else in Tools can I find additional places to customize Explorer view?
    Thanks!

Unfortunately not.  PSE wasn't really designed for relying on folders for organizing your photos, and it has a number of bugs and design infelicities:

  • Custom runtime views - Guided Procedures

    Hello,
I'd like to know whether someone can tell me how to create a <b>custom runtime view</b> and apply this view to a Guided Procedure.
    Thanks you for help!
    Best regards,

I'm expecting GP product management to release soon a how-to for that purpose. It involves using the GP public API Webdynpro ContentComponent and it's not easy to describe in this forum. Hopefully it'll be published out soon for you.

  • IC WebClient customization u0096 view  replacement

    Hi everybody.
Does anyone could help me to solve me issue? I have to make some changes in IC WebClient, so to make it I need to replace a couple of standard controllers. As I understood from IC WebClient consultants cookbook, to replace a view I need to do the following steps:
    1. In ‘spro’ transaction, Customer Relationship Management ->Interaction Center WebClient-> Customer-Specific System Modifications -> Define Runtime Framework Profile
    - Create runtime framework profile,
    - in ‘controller substitutes’ folder in the tree a left, assign replaced and replacement   controllers. For ex.: CRM_IC | BuPaCreate | ZMY_APLL | BuPaCreate
    - in ‘custom controller’ folder assign custom controller to be called, for CRM_IC it will be IC_BASE | CuCoBDC
    2. In ‘spro’ transaction, Customer Relationship Management ->Interaction Center WebClient->Define IC WebClient  Profiles
         - Create profile by coping the ‘DEFAULT’ one.
    - in ‘Assign function profiles’ folder in the tree a left, for function profile id ‘RUNTIME’ change profile value form ‘DEFAULT’ to the name of Runtime Framework Profile we created in the step 1
    3. In the cookbook sad: ‘Assign the IC WebClient profile to your user’s or business partner’s position in organizational management.’ I guess that this should connect our created profile with the actual user of the system.
    4. Restart the IC WebClient (application CRM_IC). This step is unclear for me, what does that mean ‘Restart’?
As a result of this customization I expect that view ‘BuPaCreate’ from CRM_IC will be changed with BuPaCreate from ZMY_APLL. I use ‘BSP_WD_WORKBENCH’ transaction to test this changes, defining 'CRM_IC' as application and created profile name as Runtime Profile Name.  Can any body explain me how to execute the third step form the very beginning. Cause I did not have any special settings in the system for that, but my basis user. Anyway? any information will be helpful? Look forward for your replies.

    Hi Vlad,
At first thx in sdn forum is give the points to the answer, i think you should give point to Thirumala.
At last, if you ask for a question of WebClient Cookbook you should have the cookbook and see the process of assign the profile. You can find information of organitional management you can see in the CR100 ( Course SAP of Basic configuration of CRM ) or <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/68/5c1738453fde16e10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm">Organizational Management in SAP CRM Enterprise</a>.

  • I don't see the new "firefox button" and i can't see the bookmark button (with the drop down option) unless I'm in the customize toolbar view. How can I fix these?

I am using Firefox 4.0 on Windows XP home, Service pack 3. I am trying to use some of the new features of Firefox 4.0 that I see on the Firefox feature page (http://mzl.la/gCFDjj) and am not having much luck. First off in the Firefox Button. It is supposed to contain all your menu items but it is not appearing on my screen. Is this a feature that only works in Vista or Windows 7?
Second, I am trying to use the Bookmarks Button (the one that has the drop down menu) but it doesn't appear in my toolbar unless I right click the tool bar and choose "customize". The button shows up in this view already in the toolbar, as if it is hidden in normal use and no matter where I move it to, once I hit the "done" button in the customize window the Bookmarks Button gets hidden/covered up again.
Third, I see the new "App Tabs" feature but I can't seem to find an option for this in the preferences for Firefox, if it's even supported by my browser/OS at all.
Can anyone tell me how to use/activate these features or if I am even able to using Windows XP?

You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden (View > Toolbars > Customize or right-click a toolbar).<br />
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.<br />
You only see the Bookmarks menu button if the Menu bar is hidden.

I am trying to customize an LOV that references View Object FlexDynamicLovVo. The about page shows
/oracle/apps/fnd/framework/webui/OAFlexLOVRG 120.6. The controller is OAFlexDynamicLovCO and the application module is     OAFlexDynamicLovAM. I was able to located all the files and directories with the exception of the View Object FlexDynamicLovVo. I have no idea where to find this.

    Hi,

  • Customize Filter View in OBIEE 11g

    Hi,
Is there any way to customize the filter view? My requirement is not to show formulas that are used in Analysis in the “Filter view”. All analysis that we create should go with Filter Views at the bottom and Users should not see the formulas.
    Example:
    Column Formula:
    FILTER (sales.sales USING products.product =’Electronics’)
If I filter the above column, it shows something like this:
    FILTER (sales.sales USING products.product =’Electronics’) is Prompted.
What is need to show in the filters is the Title of the column i.e. Electronics Sales.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Customize Report Viewer Frame and Colors

I am using the CR report viewer (2008) from within a .Net UI application. I would like to customize frame and background colors of the viewer control. (not the background color of the report area itself).
I can't find anything in the properties to get a rid of the light gray frame and the gray background left and right of my report pages. We are using our own styleguide for UI design and I would like to get a seamless integration of reports into our frame design.
Hope anybody has some hints for me.
    Dirk

    Hello,
I alread tried most of the viewer properties (BackColor, BackGroundEdge, etc...) before I posted my question here. Unfortunately it seems not to be that simple.
Changing properties of some underlying controls I got one step further...
The gray borderline and the dark gray background are not part of the viewer control itself, but under control of some of the underlying control elements. F.e. I am able to get rid of the dark grey background when I change the BackColor of the tab page control.
I am still fighting to get rid of the ligth gray and black borderline, that seems to be created by the tab control istself. Unfortunately it is not just the BackColor or ForeColor I have to change here. If any body has an idea, it will be helpfull.
    Best Regards

  • Customizable Runtime Engine

    Hi,
I am using LabVIEW 8.6 and I am interested to understand how to customize the LabVIEWRun time engine. Basically to shrink its size.
I just create a sample program and installer with and without Runtime Engine.
The VI and the projec is attached.
    The Sizes are,
    VI                                               ->      6.9 KB ( Just a UI with a loop)
    EXE                                            ->  151.0 KB
Installer without Runtime Engine    ->   10.4  MB
Installer with Runtime Engine         ->   74.7  MB
I understand the Rutime engine includes the support for all the LabVIEW features (Web service, trace, tdms, etc). But while distributing the application developed in LabVIEW we may need the support for only the features the Application developed/configured for. Right?
Though transfering a 100 MB is not a problme now a days, I am just wondering, how it can be customized.

Besides the options then you create the installer no. I think NI could have done it, but they do not dare. If the installer was more modular it would have resulted in a lot of extra support work for NI. As people hate to read read documentation. It is much more convenient to phone NI support and yell at them. So NI has taken the all or nothing approach. As a self defense. And I can not blame them. But I have to admit a modular RT setup would have been nice.
Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)
