GP Design Time options unavailable

I was trying out the Search SAP Webpages Process in Guided procedures.
I get to see the Guided Procedures Role,
But in the You Can section below the gallery where we can make callable objects, its blank. I cannot see anything. Am i missing something here?
Basically I dont get any options to perform in GP Design Time role.

Hi
What GP roles did you assign to the user. There are around 14 GP roles that come with portal. Let me know what roles did you assign ??
Thanks
Lakshmi

  • GP Design Time - what is the purpose of 'Create Object View' option?

    What is the purpose of the 'Create Object View' option?  I cannot find it in the documentation.

    Hi Karen,
    The Object Types are used to define the Parameters for the Callable Objects. We Can create the Object Views for the CAF Core Entity services or UME Pricipal Objects such as Users,Roles Groups etc. While creating the Object View we can select either of these and then we can create a view i..e. Select the required attributes from those Business Objects i.e. Entity Services or the Principals. Once we create the Object View, we can use them to define the Parameters for the callable Objects. While defining the parameters for Callable Objects, if you click the dropdown for 'Type', you'll see an entry 'Reference to BO'. If you select the entry, you'll see the list of Object Views you have created and you can select the Object View you want for defining that parameter. In short it means that you can create the Obect Views for the BOs i.e. CAF core Entity services and Pricipals. And then you can define the parameters for the Callable Objects with type 'Refence to BO' pointing to your object views.

  • Why Check box is used in optional Category in GP Design time

    Hi All
    I have developed a small module in Guided Procedures using sequential block and pre conditional loop block with some callable objects and its working well. But i need to know why in "Optional" category check box is used ?.And also The check box is available only in the action below the Sequential block but is not available below Pre-conditional loop block(In GP Design Time)
    Any Idea..
    Thanks & Regards,
    Syed Nawaz.S

    Not all locales come with a dictionary installed for licensing reasons.
    If you do not have the en-US locale then check that you have a dictionary installed (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and selected.
    You can see which dictionary is selected if you right-click in a text area and open the ''Languages'' submenu.
    Also make sure that [[X]"Check Spelling" in the right-click context menu has a tick.
    You can also try to toggle the "Check Spelling" item off and on again.

  • How to add values dynamically for custom property during design time?

    I am trying to create a user control with custom properties. I have a property named Server.
    And Values for this property is system dependent. I have the code that can generate the values and is working fine.
    During the design time, when I include this control in my application, and type the property name, I want Visual Studio to prompt for the values. Like it
    does for Alignment property for some controls shows Left, Right, Center.. during design time.
    If the Values are static, I can use an enum and it works fine. I need help with dynamic values.

    You can't, afaik.
    It's either an enum or you don't get that functionality of values.
    There is no right left centre, "Towards the top right but just off centre" - which I just thought of... option for example.
    Hope that helps.

    Hi MonsterMMORPG,
    I made a mistake in my previous reply. What I suggested is that you created a new and simple WPF app, set the platform to
    x64 rather than x86, and then build the app to check the result.
    If a new WPF app also has this issue, then I doubt whether this issue is related to your VS.

  • Design-time *code*... is it possible?

    We all know of design-time CSS files. But is there such a
    thing as
    design-time code?
    Reason I'm asking is that on one site, files are assembled
    via includes.
    Header, title, content, and footer. 4 files being included
    into one. Except
    Header and Footer are really two sides of the same coin :
    various divs and
    tables are opened in Header and then closed in Footer (title
    and content are
    self-sufficient).
    Would it be possible for me to have "design-time" code that
    closes the tags
    opened in Header so I can work on the file *without*
    re-assembling it with
    Footer? (and vice versa) because right now... if I need to
    edit Header or
    Footer, I first need to copy both into one file, work on it
    there, then
    re-save them separately for inclusion as "header" and
    "footer".

    The other option would have been to create a php file that
    takes a template
    and inserts the content into it via the url, such as
    .com/parser.php?file=content.html
    But a programmer friend of mine told me that was the wrong
    way to do it,
    that it would slow things down. Although I'm not sure how 3-4
    includes is
    any less slow than the quoted method.

  • How to disable process design time attributes WS RM

    Hi,
      I recently configured a NW BPM test scenario which works as expected. When I tried to test/call BPM Process using SOAP UI/Webservice client I am unable to send a message to SAP BPM process due to WS RM & WS A are activated at design time. While developing scenario in NWDS how can I disable the properties WS-RM & WS A for start event trigger as this acts provider WSDL for Webservice client . Thank you in advance.
    Thank you,
    Mallik

    Hi Mailk,
    Any/every asynchronous web service developed in the ESR and then imported from ESR into NWDS will have properties added to the WSDL on import by the design time. The attributes are tagged as shown below.
    <ifw:properties xmlns:ifw="urn:com-sap:ifr:v2:wsdl">
    On deployment, these attributes trigger the SOA infrastructure to generate the service endpoint interface as WS-RM. These properties cannot be changed in the runtime SOA configuration as they are not editable.
    If you want to develop the services in the ESR and then deploy them without WS-RM there are two options.
    a) copy-paste the wsdl out of the ESR perspective (the raw WSDL text) and create a local document with same name and then import the WSDL from the file system in NWDS
    b) import the WSDL from ESR and then manually remove all the <ifw: properties/attributes, then save the WSDL.
    My preference is to develop the service in the ESR (as all services should be) and then import and remove the tags. But the copy-paste and create a local WSDL is less error-prone. In any event you'll need to document the WSDL so that down the road anyone who might modify the service would know that it has been further adapted outside the standard tooling. The <ifw: attributes also control other runtime properties such as authentication, so please do some homework on services deployed with and without the tags so you can see for yourself and really understand the service endpoint generation.

  • Incorrect results with design-time artifacts

    Hi,
    Problem description:
    After creating design-time artifacts, Analytic view with Anlaytic privilege having assign restriction as repository procedure is not returning desired results.
    HANA AWS revision 70.
    Problem Recreation:
    Below I am giving the process for problem recreation.
    1. EDW.hdbschema:
    schema_name="EDW";
    2. EDW_DD.hdbdd:
    namespace excent.P1;
    @Schema : 'EDW'
    context EDW_DD {
    type TT_LV {
    LowValue : String(18);
    entity USER {
    @Catalog.tableType: #COLUMN
    key User              : String(10);
    key InfoObject        : String(10);
    key Option            : String(2);
    key LowValue          : String(18);
    HighValue             : String(18);
    ChangedOn             : LocalDate;
    ChangedBy             : String(8);
    3. Created Analytic view (AN_EDW_SALES.analyticview) based on VBAP table with output as VBELN, MATNR, NETWR. Apply privileges is left empty.
    4. Created repository procedure (LowValue_IN.procedure)
    CREATE PROCEDURE LowValue_IN (OUT RES "EDW"."excent.P1::EDW_DD.TT_LV" )
           LANGUAGE SQLSCRIPT
           SQL SECURITY DEFINER
           DEFAULT SCHEMA _SYS_BIC
           READS SQL DATA AS
    v_cnt INT;
    BEGIN
    RES = SELECT "LowValue" FROM  "EDW"."excent.P1::EDW_DD.USER"
                 WHERE "User"            = SESSION_USER
                   AND "InfoObject"       = 'MATNR'
                   AND "Option"           = 'EQ'
                 GROUP BY "LowValue",  "User"
    SELECT COUNT(*) INTO v_cnt FROM :RES;
    IF :v_cnt = 0
    THEN RES = SELECT 'EMPTY' AS "LowValue" FROM DUMMY;
    END IF ;
    END;
    5. Created Analytic privilege(AP_EDW_SALES.analytic privilege) with assign restriction on Repository procedure (LowValue_IN.procedure) with operator "IN" and Privilege Validity with operator as ">=", From date as yesterday (2014-03-24)
    6. Created Role (EDW_SALES.hdbrole) and assigned the below privileges:
    system privilege: CATALOG READ;
    catalog sql object "SYS"."REPOSITORY_REST": EXECUTE;
    catalog schema "_SYS_BI": SELECT;
    catalog schema "_SYS_BIC": SELECT;
    analytic privilege: excent.P1:AP_EDW_SALES.analyticprivilege;
    package excent.P1: REPO.READ;
    7. Created user from Systems view (EDWUSER) and assigned the role (EDW_SALES.hdbrole).
    8. In SQLConsole, executed the query to insert 1 record, which has in VBAP:
    insert into "EDW"."excent.P1::EDW_DD.USER" values('EDWSALES','MATNR','EQ','M-08','','','');
    Now when I do the data preview, I can see all the records instead of only 1 record with MATNR "M-08".
    Few Observations:
    1. When SELECT statement of procedure when executed in SQLconsole for EDWUSER(with extra privilege SELECT on EDW schema) it returns only 1 row but not the Analytic view.
    2. Also the repository procedure can be used as catalog procedure in Analytic privilege. This also behaving the same.
    3. When I change the "Apply Privileges" option to "Analytic Privileges" in Analytic view, I am getting below error when doing data preview.
    I could not understand where I am doing wrong. Is it a product bug or mistake from my end?
    Regards
    Raj

    Ohh! Yes.. Got it now.
    Well I tried to recreate your scenario: ( Tested on Rev 70)
    1) Am sure you might have used the correct insert statement:
    insert into "EDW"."MarchBatch.tst::EDW_DD.USER" values('EDWUSER','MATNR','EQ','1400-310','','','');
    The user name must be EDWUSER not EDWSALES.
    2) Have created Analytic Privilege with Validity date and others as mentioned by you. Only difference is am using a Repository procedure created under Content folder using Modeller Perspective (PROC_TEST) as shown in the below screenshot.
    3) The data preview for EDWUSER as shown below is showing expected results i.e MTNR = 1400-310 is only showing up.
    4) When I used the .procedure (LowValue_IN) , I also hit the same error same as you mentioned below:
    With only difference being the way the procedure is created, the issue must be in the way .procedure is used. May be a bug I guess

  • How to disable design time data binding?

    I am using Studio Creator IDE for the presentation layer and bringing the project into eclipse and from there moving on to creating daos,adding business objects etc.
    However, when re-importing my files from eclipse to the Studio Creator to make layout changes, on the design view, i keep getting all these SQL exceptions.
    Here's my current fix:
    For eg, if on a page i had a Data Table component, i comment out my dao methods that populate the cachedrowset for the table data provider and i add for eg:
    personRowSet.setDataSourceName("java:comp/env/jdbc/Travel");
    personRowSet.setCommand("SELECT * FROM TRAVEL.PERSON");
    personRowSet.setTableName("PERSON");
    and only then, i am able to see my table component in the design view.
    Is there an option somewhere to tell the IDE not to check data bindings at design time???
    That would be very very helpful.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    There is no option, ASAIK, to turn off the data bindings at design time. As you have mentioned the option that comes to my mind is to comment out the code for data binding till the design work is over.
    Cheers

  • URGENT: Creating LIST item during design time.

    Hi All,
    Is it possible to create LIST item [with MultiSelect option] during design time. The Developer guide has only programmatic implementation. So, Please let me know, whether its possible or not.
    Thanks.

    Yes, it has to be done programatically only. There is no property in the Property pallet to do this declaratively as of now.

  • SAP HANA design time roles replication/transport

    Dear Experts,
    I have been a keen reader of SCN for many years but only just beginning to ask for specific expertise, so please bear with me if I'm outside standard forum etiquette or procedures!  Any guidance gratefully received there.
    Having built design time roles in one system, I am curious if there is a way to replicate these in other systems now.  The latest discussion I could find on any transport possibilities seemed limited to producing .hdbroles, which have their own limitations although transporting isn't one of them.  I would prefer to maintain the roles as design time types only however does this mean that they must be manually replicated directly in each system, or if it is possible to create an SQL from the design time role, to then execute in the target system, but still allowing graphical maintenance of th roles?
    Many thanks in advance for your thoughts and experienced feedback.
    Kind Regards,
    Mark Simmet

    Hi Vivek,
    Thanks for taking the time to enlighten me here.  The only limitations of the design time roles I could see in relation to the category type role was my perceived inability to transport/replicate them.
    If I build in say CRM DEV and want to replicate to other DEVs, I understand now that this is possible through the import of the relevant delivery unit.
    I was cautious in attaching these to something for export prior to confirmation from someone with experience of having done so.  Documentation around this appears to be quite limited with only some old threads discussing the transport/replication efforts required of HANA roles.
    My preference is also design time over catalog from what I've seen so far, and as we're on SPS09 it's possible to edit in the graphical interface.
    I'll look into your suggestions on delivery units for import/transport options.
    Once again, many thanks for taking the time to reply - very much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Mark

  • TextInput style, change at design time.

    I am new to Flash, and am working on developing an iOS app.
    I have my first basic app running.
    My question is, how do I change the style of my TextInput at design time?
    I see how to do it in code, but I am hoping that I wont have to have a bunch of extra code, justto set the styles of the inputs.
    Thanks in advance,
    Clint

    One way you can probably do it is to doubleclick the component on the stage and manually edit the various pieces that comprise it by doubleclicking and editing them.
    If you are using a TextInput component and you have issues with having code for styling it, you might consider switching to just using an Input Textfield.  Components tend to be weighty little creatures, partly due to the various graphics they carry but moreso because of code that they lug around.  To see how much the TextInput contributes to the weight of a file, start a new file and place a TextInput on the stage.  Then, with the Flash Publish Settngs option set to Generate size report selected, publish the file and see the bytes contributed in the output panel.

  • How to create a drop down box values on design time?

    Hello,
    I have a drop down box that I would like to edit on design time to have the valus 1 to 10.
    Is it possible to doo it on design it or do I have to create a loop in the code to do that?

    See go to LocalDictionary->Data Type-> SimpleType Right Click and create a Simple Type giving some Package Name
    Once u have created
    There u will see Enumeration Tab and give Key Value Pairs by pressing New Button
    Now Create a Context Attr and at Type property select that three dots
    Then go to Dictionary Simple Type and select the Package u have given
    then select the Simple type u have created
    Then assign the context Attr to the UI Element

  • Report does not print exactly same as it appears at design time

    Hello,
    I am using SAP Crystal report with VS 2010.
    I designed a report. At design time every thing appears fine. Margins are set to 0, printer is selected and page size is custom.(right click on report, design>pagesetup)
    When I use <reportname>.printtoprinter(), it dramatically changes the text size and margins of the report in hard copy. I tried literally everything for this. Especially It adds nearly 2 inches extra margin at top.Also , at run time it changes the font size to 8 or 9 points if i have set it to 12 at design time.
    I get the same problem if I do following:
      crystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = rptRcAbh;
       crystalReportViewer1.PrintReport();
    HOWEVER!!
    When I do this:
      crystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = rptRcAbh;
    AND when I manually click the print button of crystal report viewer, i get EXACTLY SAME result as design time. This is what I am expecting from printoprinter() method. But Its changing result dramatically.
    Why is this happening? Am I forgetting any setting?
    I must use reprot.printtoprinter() method here. Because I am printing the bill receipt. I dont want the user to go to printpreview then click print. AND I must get same result as design on printed page.
    Please help me. I am in urgent need.

    Hi Don,
    Firstly I am very very thankful to you for replying me.
    I know I must have irritated you a bit cuz I was expecting everything ready which I should have :P
    but I was in urgent need and there was no time for me to read everything. I must say a thing that I did not get good search results on printcontroller when I used search box of this website.
    Well Thanks again for helping me in deed.
    I am sure this must be the problem for many people across the globe, hence I am posting the exact code that helped me to print the document Accurately:
       rptReceiptAbhishek rptRcAbh = new rptReceiptAbhishek();
            //        rptRcAbh.Load("rptReceiptAbhishek.rpt", OpenReportMethod.OpenReportByTempCopy); i did't need this line
    //////// Directly Entering data to the fields of the report.
                    CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.TextObject txtname;
                    CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.TextObject txtaddress;
                    txtname = (CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.TextObject)rptRcAbh.ReportDefinition.ReportObjects["txtRptName"];
                    txtname.Text = cboInitials.Text + " " + cboDonarName.Text;
                    txtaddress = (CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.TextObject)rptRcAbh.ReportDefinition.ReportObjects["txtRptAdd"];
                    txtaddress.Text = txtAddess.Text;
                    rptRcAbh.PrintOptions.PrinterName = Properties.Settings.Default.PrinterName;
                    System.Drawing.Printing.PrintDocument pDoc = new System.Drawing.Printing.PrintDocument();
                    CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.Controllers.PrintReportOptions rasPROpts = new CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.Controllers.PrintReportOptions();
                    CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ReportDefModel.PrintOptions newOpts = new CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ReportDefModel.PrintOptions();
                    pDoc.PrinterSettings.PrinterName = Properties.Settings.Default.PrinterName;
                    pDoc.PrinterSettings.SupportsColor.ToString();
                    //if (pDoc.PrinterSettings.SupportsColor)
                    //    MessageBox.Show("Printer Supports Color", pDoc.PrinterSettings.SupportsColor.ToString());
                    rasPROpts.PrinterName = Properties.Settings.Default.PrinterName;
                    //   rasPROpts.PaperSize = (CrPaperSizeEnum)pDoc.PrinterSettings.PaperSizes[cboCurrentPaperSizes.SelectedIndex].Kind;
                    //rasPROpts.PaperSource = (CrPaperSourceEnum) pDoc.PrinterSettings.PaperSources[cboDefaultPaperTrays.SelectedIndex].Kind;
          //          rptReceiptAbhishek rpt = new rptReceiptAbhishek();
                    var rptClientDoc = rptRcAbh.ReportClientDocument;
                    rptClientDoc.PrintOutputController.PrintReport(rasPROpts);
                    MessageBox.Show("Printing in progress. Make sure that printer is not turned off.", "RAS", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Information);
