  • Custom BIOS requested for the MSI GP60 2PE Leopard

    Hi,
Is it possible to generate a BIOS update, for allowing the notebook to have 32 GB (2x16 GB) SODIMMs. It seems that the Memory Reference Code needs some adjustments to allow this. I got currently the MSI GP60 2PE Leopard (i7-4700HQ • 16 GB DIMM).
The currently available modules are IMM2G64D3LSOD8A-B15E or the IMM2G64D3LSOD8A-C15E from Intelligent Memory.
    With kind regards,
    Roland

    nope, can't do such modifications

Try and connect a USB mouse if that works then download newer version of touchpad drivers and install it and see if it works if same thing after that then try doing a touchpad firmware update and see if it will bring touchpad functionality back to life.

  • Msi GP60 2PE Leopard E2200 Killer question

Hello, i'm considering purchasing mentioned laptop.
However I have one question about Killer™ E2200 since I'm accessing internet only by wifi would Killer E2200 work with wifi connection or i'm forced to use ethernet cable?
    Thanks
    Bravd

The Killer E2200 is a Lan adapter. To use it a Lan (cable) connection is required. However you can of course use WLan via the Intel WLan adapter of the GP60 2PE.

  • Msi gp60 2pe leopard temp very hight

iI bought the laptop in March 2015 in sweden, new NEA problems with CPU and GPU temperature, when run counter strike global offensive or batlefiled 3 cpu temperature goes up to 80C and 60C GPU, and fan have5320RPM.

You don't need to replace anything, I think CPU under 90C is really normal, because CPU will boost the clock for higher performance when under 90C. For the GPU, it's really cool which under 80C, there is nothing you need to do with your good performance gaming notebook.

I don't believe it's possible to change the graphics card on this model as it is integrated into the motherboard.

  • GP60 2PE Bios Update

I am trying to update the bios by using this guide:  http://www.msi.com/files/pdf/Flash_BIOS_by_UEFI_BIOS_Setup_Utility_en.pdf
But i'm stuck in step 6, when i go into the Bios there is no option for "UEFI BIOS UPDATE" as shown in the guide.

    Hello taurus_sa,
What's your current version of BIOS?
If you don't encounter any issue, there's no necessary to update the BIOS.

  • MSI GP60 + Ram

    Hi,
did order today a GP60 with 4GB ram.. could i add another 8GB and mix modules
    like 1x4GB and 1x8GB  ?
    Thx

Hi, another question regarding the GP60 2PE Leopard; if I do decide to get RAM from Crucial, is this RAM compatible?
    8GB DDR3 PC3-14900 Unbuffered NON-ECC 1.35V 1024Meg x 64
    Specs     DDR3 PC3-14900 • CL=13 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1866 • 1.35V • 1024Meg x 64 •
    This is in comparison to:
    16GB kit (8GBx2) DDR3 PC3-12800 Unbuffered NON-ECC 1.35V 1024Meg x 64
    Specs     DDR3 PC3-12800 • CL=11 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1600 • 1.35V • 1024Meg x 64 •
Or can this particular laptop only handle up to DDR3-1600 and the DDR3-1866 MHz would be a waste?
    Thank you.

  • MSi GP60 2PF

I bought this GP60 2PF leopard pro from germany (I live in UK) and I can't seem to find any manual for it on the MSi website. Will it be fine if I used the GP60 2PE's manual to update the drivers/BIOS?

    You mean GE60 2PF?
The manual can be downloaded from here:

  • Led keyboard & GP60 Leopard posssible??

    hi guys
i bought GP60 2PE Leopard model laptop and i want to change my keyboard with led one. Is this possible?

Sadly the GP60 Leopard doesn't support back light keyboard. In order to have a working back light keyboard, it must have a EC firmware which supports the back light keyboard. Since GP 60 Leopard doesn't support the back light keyboard, you won't find the supported EC nor the back light keyboard.
