GPF on installation of various products

I4ve tried to install Dev6 on a Win95 OSR2 machine but I always get a GPF message. The same has happened with Designer6.
What to do ??
Rogerio

You might be hitting the Installer Y2K bug. Go to the Oracle Metalink and download the Y2K complaint Installer. You need an Installer Version equal to or greater than 3.3.1.0.0c. The Oracle 8.0.5 CD and above have the correct installer.

    Hello Noor,
I'm not sure but if you are talking about the marketing attributes, you can definitely use FM - CRM_MKTBP_ASSIGN_ATTRIBUT_TAB
You need to pass the profile id, partner id and marketing attributes data. Thats it.
I think the FM you ar eusing for terrritory is fine. It should work.
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • Which is the software needed for an installation on a production server

    Hi,
which is the software needed for an installation on a production server (windows 2008) of Forms/Reports 11g ?
I mean the old 10g stand alone forms and report service but un 11g release ..
    Regards

For application deployments (production), you will need the following software. The same is true for a design-time environment.
    1. Weblogic Server 10.3.2
    2. Fusion Middleware 11.1.1.2
See my update in the following:
    Re: Some FORMS quesion...
All products are contained within the Fusion Middleware (Forms, Reports, Portal, Discoverer) distribution. This includes Builders, Runtime components, HTTP Server, Web Cache, etc. During the installation process, you choose which you want to install.

  • Allways two installations of Adobe Products in my System

I find allways two installations of Adobe Products (for example Premiere Pro CS6 and Premiere Pro CC 2014)
Do I need two installations or can I delete one of them? Thank you for your help.
    Marc

Cloud members have access to 3 major versions: CS6, CC and CC 2014.
It's up to you if you want to install and run them all or only the latest.
If you only want the latest (CC 2014) then feel free to uninstall the older versions.

  • Can anyone disambiguate all the various product names?

One thing that bugs me about Oracle is the have such a great love for 1) Giving EVERYTHING its own separate name, 2) Making those names really unhelpful as to what exactly the software does, and 3) assigning version numbers AND release levels AND update levels, so you end up with really simple names like "Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Center Grid Cloud Control 15q, Release 4". Obviously I'm exaggerating a very little bit, but that's how it seems sometimes. And as far as I can tell, there's no document that says exactly what each one is, exactly what it does, how it's different from others, and how they all relate to one another. Is Grid part of Enterprise Manager? How about Cloud Control? Do you have to install them all? The answers may be obvious to some people, but hardly intuitive for those just starting to use them. And then of course on top of that, it seems like every other version they rename everything, place it under some other product line, and just expect you to know somehow. And of course you often find documents around the web and within Oracle's docs that refer to older versions, often by different names. Does the naming insanity ever stop? Every time I think I'm getting a handle on it, Oracle re-brands things somehow. And naturally every single product in the entire company has to start with "Oracle...", because if they weren't, someone might forget who made it.
This is really confusing and annoying and you're just supposed to magically know it somehow. And when new versions come out. And where to download them. Oh, you can set stuff up to do that automatically? Would that be in Cloud Control, Grid, or Ops Center? Which version and which revision? From which of Oracle's several different places to download stuff? Sure, it's simple to find all kinds of marketdrone babblespeak papers about "stack integration" and how wonderful Oracle is and how slick everything will be and how cool Oracle products are and how awesome the integration is... but really frigging hard to find specific information about what the products do, how they relate to each other, what versions and releases there are, what the past and current versions are, when new versions are coming out, any name changes, and so on. there's no road map for all this stuff, apparently you're just supposed to read Every Single Press Release oracle puts out and spend half your life piecing it all together.
Did it never occur to the marketing drones that maybe, just maybe, all this branding babble is really confusing to everyone? To the media, to the people who use their products? That maybe it's annoying for p[eopel to waste valuable hours just combing through a billion web pages and white papers and press releases just to try to figure out which softwasre product out of ten thosuanmd that you need, and what the most recent version is, and how it relates to other products in the family?
Having said all that - sorry for getting off on a rant - what is the deal with Cloud Control?  And Grid?  And Enterprise Manager?  And Ops Center?  What is the structure/relationship?  What are the most recent versions?  When is the version of Ops Center that supports Solaris 11 and the new virtualization coming out?  Will that be a new version of Enterprise Manager, or of Ops Center?  Will it be a version number change or a release level change?
Not that I'm bitter or anything. I feel your pain, so many sales stuff to work through to get to the good stuff
    here's my very simplistic interpretation
Cloud control = anything with a "c" behind the name - eg 12c
Grid control = anything with a "g" behind the name - eg 11g
oracle enterprise manager is the product that comes from Oracle to manage the database layer from the operating system upwards , (eg software components) - latest version 12c something
ops center, or oracle enterprise manager ops center is a product that came from Sun to manage the OS, hardware level and down (eg hardware components) - latest version 11g update 1 release 3
currently these two products, OEM and OEM Ops Center are 2 seperate installs
I also believe that Oracle only make roadmaps available on request
The only sites where you are going to get any official info is from the oracle websites
    www.oracle.com
    edelivery.oracle.com
    support.oracle.com
    docs.oracle.com
    etc

  • What sequence of installations of VM products and Oracle Templates ?

My target is to use EGRCM 8.6.3.1 & EGRCC 8.6.3 with EBS 12.1.1 EGRCI 3.0.2 on linux 5u4 on my laptop without loosing my win 7 environment. EGRCM cannot be on same server as EGRCC
Kindly correct the sequence I plan to follow.
    1. EBS 12.1.1 & GRCM
    --> Win7 on laptop
--> VMware (server or player??? ver ???)
--> Oracle Virtual Server (ver ??) with no Oracle Virtual Manager
--> Oracle VM Temp for OEL 5
    Is PV Small x86_64 (64 bit)      V18922-01 ok ??
--> OVM Template for EBS 12.1.1 Vision
--> Oracle VM Template for Template Builder (may or may not use it)
--> Oracle VM Template WebLogic Server 10gR3
    --> Install GRCC products
Do I need Oracle VM Template for MySQL Enterprise ?
    2. EBS 12.1.1 & EGRCM
    --> Win7 on laptop
--> VMware (server or player??? ver ???)
--> Oracle Virtual Server (ver ??) with no Oracle Virtual Manager
--> Oracle VM Temp for OEL 5 64
    Is PV Small x86_64 (64 bit)      V18922-01 ok ??
--> Oracle VM Template for EBS 12.1.1 Vision 32
--> Oracle VM Template WebLogic Server 10gR3 and manually update to 11gR1
    OR
    Install WebLogic Server 11gR1
    --> Content Server 10gR3 (10.1.3.3.3)
--> Install SOA 11g Patch set
    --> Other GRCM related
--> Oracle VM Template for Template Builder (may or may not use it)
--> Do I need Oracle VM Template for MySQL Enterprise ?
    3. Within Oracle VM Server can one use a OVM Template and then update it?
    4. Also can you have templates for some products and wile install some other products in the same Orqcle VM Server?

    Regarding (1) in my post:
    i) Is the sequence correct ?I do not understand your sequences, they are confusing.
ii) Which one do you suggest to install .. VMware Server or Vmware player and if so which version.Pl let me know.Server. For the version, just download the latest one (as long as it is not beta).
iii What ver of Oracle VM Server should I use for the templates linux 5u4 64 bit. Almost every version got linux 5Please check the certification matrix on MOS website to verify what OS is certified with the product you are planning to install/use.
iv) Will I need to install Oracle Virtual Manager too ?I do not understand why you need this.
    v) I dont know what it means but for meaning of PV kindly go to Linux/Templates option in edelivery... select VM Templates for linux 64bit ..then select Oracle VM Template for linux 5 64bit ... you see several products listed like "Oracle Linux 5 Update 4 template - PV Small x86_64 (64 bit)" , " PV x86_64 (64 bit)" and "PV Large x86_64 (64 bit)" etc. More info is available if you click Readme icon on top left of the table listing products. Oracle VM Windows Paravirtual (PV) -- Oracle VM and Microsoft Windows [ID 468634.1]
vi) Do I need Oracle VM Template for MySQL Enterprise ?If MySQL is required then yes.
vii) Regarding your reply to (1) of my original post: "If you cannot install it directly then the answer is yes".... please explain if I cannot install what directly and the answer is yes to what?Directly means on a physical machine.
Regarding (2) of the post :
You say why I keep asking about same questions ......
    (1) was about GRCC but i made a typo GRCM instead of GRCC. (2) is about GRCM and two different ways one can go about installations. All the three use different products so it not same question.
As for asking version, I don't want to land in a situation of after spending weeks (at my pace and knowledge level) and realize all 90% I did is waste cuz I used the wrong version in the very first step itself. For version questions please always refer to the certification matrix (from MOS website).
If you have a valid CSI number, I would suggest you log a SR.
    Thanks,
    Hussein

  • Query: Windows Registry setting to preventing installation of sponsored product apps (McAfee, etc.)

To Adobe Support and Others who might know this answer.
What is the Windows Registry Setting a admin could set on a system in order to prevent Adobe products such as Flash, from installing sponsored product applications from installing?
In this case it is  McAfee Security Scan Plus.  However, I also desire to prevent other sponsored apps in the future from being installed during an Adobe product update.  This is a PIA for an admin to follow up on removing an an application from  field systems after was was intended to be an Adobe spcifc product update.
Oracle's JAVA already have a method to disable spnsored installs.  I would like to see the same from Adobe,
Yes I already know to tell people to disable checkboxes for addtional products.
Yes I already know about the direct product dowload links for Flash, etc.

I'm unaware of any such registry mod.

  • Installation of SAP products on older 32-bit serves

    Hi,
I have a special testing project. We want to install multiple SAP products on older 32-bit servers. These will be used in a proof-of-concept testing.
we will install these products on Windows 2003 32-bit with 4GB of RAM
    Products to be installed:
    SAP ECC 6.04 (EHP4)
    SAP PI 7.11 (EHP1)
    SAP SCM  7.01 (EHP1)
I looked in the PAM but am not still clear if these products are allowed to be installed on 32-bit.
Note that performance is not important and that I udnerstand that with 4GB per server, It will be tight.
    thanks.

    thanks,
I found a note in the ECC6-EHP4 installation guide.
You need to consider the following constraints before you start your installation:.u2039m×ùs
Your operating system platform must be 64-bit.
    NOTE
The only instance, you can still install on 32-bit is the dialog instance
I might install these products is SR2 mode and patch them afterward... or I will ask for 64-bit servers.
    Thanks.

  • Building an Installer with the product version major at 0

    Hi Everyone,
I'm currently working on a prototype and I should build an installer for the prototype validation.
The matter is that the prototype version start at 0, and I can't find a way to set in the product version major field at 0.
Setting the major field at 0 is possible while building an executable, but not for an installer.
    My LabVIEW version is 12.0
    Thanks...

    Marc-junior wrote:
It seems to me that it is the wanted behaviour application builder here. From the help page, you can read the following "You must increment the version number if you want to create upgrade versions of the installer that are capable of overwriting previous installers."
That does not explain anything. We should be able to make the first ever version 0.0.0, that can later be upgraded to e.g. 0.0.1.
    According to microsoft:
The format of the string is as follows:
    major.minor.build
The first field is the major version and has a maximum value of 255. The second field is the minor version and has a maximum value of 255. The third field is called the build version or the update version and has a maximum value of 65,535.
So, the max is 255.255.65535. There is no minimum given, so 0 should probably be allowed. I suspect that the input field in the build specification has an incorrect range setting.

  • Crystal installation error in product keycode

    Hi.
I´m trying to install the crystal server 2008 and when i inform the keycode product the system show the following message:
"The product keycode you entered is not valid. STU000140".
But, i did not put this code. I put this one:
    CUK08-H6SPA47-000E05T-96N0.
    What is happening ?
    Thanks.
    Wagner

    Hi Wagner,
STU000140 is not your keycode but error message code.  It means the same thing as the message itself.
You should not post your real keycode here.  I suspect somehow this keycode has already been used in some other installation.
If you reinsatall it in the same computer, the error message should not be poped up. Call Crystal's support to find the reason.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • Re-installation with existing product code/disk but no disk drive.

I have a new laptop and need to re-register my Photoshop C6 student and teachers edition, can I do this with my existing product code?
Also if it is possible, how do I then re-install Photoshop with no disk drive? (I originally just popped the disk in and entered my product code.)
(Additional information: Both my laptop and Photoshop are for Windows.)

    Hello,
if you are able to do that, you should deactivate (Help -> Deactivate) the Adobe software before you lose the machine to it being reset.  You will still use the same serial number to activate the soiftware when you get the application(s) reinstalled.
If you need any help with activation you can contact Adobe Support directly by chat or phone.
