GPRS Problem - No Modem Found

I have installed PC suite 6.81 onto an XP Pro SP2 laptop and am connecting a Nokia 7250i via a genuine Nokia DKU-5 lead. The PC Suite indicates the phone is connected via the serial cable but when I try and connect to the internet, one touch access states that no Nokia modems are installed. I have checked device manager and both the Nokia Connectivity Adapter Cable DKU-5 and the Port on the Nokia Adapter are detected and are working properly. The same phone, cable and software installs on a W2K SP4 laptop and connects without any problems. The only difference I can see is that the Nokia 7250i cable is detected in device manager under modems on the W2K laptop and not on the XP laptop. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing PC suite several times and used the Nokia cleaner utility to remove all traces of the programme between installs. I have also tried installing the modem driver seperately but still am unable to get the the XP laptop to recognise the Nokia modem in one touch access. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions

When you check the One Touch Access settings for modems list, do you see your phone listed there ?
In device manager, when phone connected, do you see the phone in modems list ?

  • 6230i no modem found problem

When I try to connect to the internet through my mobile and DKU-5 cable it comes up 'no modem found'. When I go to Device manager it says the modem has a problem. Updating the driver just delivers an error message 'there was a problem installing this hardware...'
The annoying thing is it worked fine until I got an autmoatic update for the software. Since then I have had to sort the 'no available connection type' problem (solved with pc suite cleaner).
Anyone with any ideas how to solve the no modem found problem would be much appreciated.

Just got off the phone with apple support.  If the photo book completes the assembly process but fails during the upload process the problem is in their overloaded servers. They just started a free shipping promotion for the holidays which has increased the traffic dramatically. I bought a calendar a week ago and it went right through. I'm going to try again during less peak times.

  • DKU5 - No modem found!

    I have a Nokia 6810 and a DKU5 cable.
I've installed the DKU5 driver and then PC Suite and finally connected my phone.
PC Suite happily talks to the phone, but when I select 'Connect to the Internet' I get the 'No modem found!' error in 'One Touch Access'.
I've tried uninstalling everything, running 'Nokia PC Clean' and reinstalling and get the same error.
    What next?
    Richard

have you right clicked on it ans selected update driver ?
If it turns out that it does not help, my conclusion would be that the non-Nokia Dku-5 does not handle modem. At least it is not compatible with the Nokia DKU-5 cable driver that you have downloaded, but you should try to find the original driver that should be available for the DKu-5 you have.

  • Lumia 610 Gprs problem - Solution found

    Hello everyone,
Like many of you I also had a lot of problems with my nokia 610 connecting to the internet via grps or even 3g
The idea support staff are d*** heads. And they have no idea about it.
I went to the Nokia store and this what solved the problem
    APN settings,
    APN - idea internet
    leave everything else blank
Choose fastest speed as E if you are on gprs or 3g if you are on 3G
I generally keep the don't roam option.
    That's it.
    internet works
    pop emails work
    gmail works
    people app works fine
    downloads work fine
The speed that you get depends upon the pack and network range.
This worked. Sometimes the net doesn't work, but I turn on and off the data connection and everything is fine again.
Hope it helps. Am using the 98 monthly gprs pack as of now for test basis.
Let me know how it goes for everyone.

The network setup is updated as well. So you can input the apn information and gprs will work.
No need to reset your phone.

Can any one tell me what is the problem?
    Regards,

    hi pavani,
excuse me about my previous reply.
I was just checking your FCC parameters. I see fieldseparator missing and also is it possible to paste sample input data.
I fieldsepartor is also not necessary since you have fiexedlengths. Since you say FCC to FCC and you paste the receiver FCC parameters

  • Migration to 11.1.2.2 problem, ApplicationModule not found.

    Hi Guys,
After migrating our existing oracle ADF application from version 11.1.1.3 to the new version 11.1.2.2 we faced the below error on several screens. It seems that for different reasons we are loosing the application module without even having any error in the error log, then afterward whatever we do (ex: query a view that exist in the app module or call a function that exist in the app module or …….) we receive the below error.
Note that for migration we opened and compiled the code on the version 11.1.1.4 then we went directly to the version 11.1.2.2, this is the certified way from oracle (check the link below)
So I guess the question is:
    1) did anyone out there face this issue???
    2) Is our migration path wrong???
    3) Does anyone migrated successfully so far????
    Thanks guys,
    Alain.

    Hi,
if the application module runs in the tester then you can exclude the business service as the source of the problem. In this case have a look in the DataBindings.cpx file and the view controller project dependencies. E.g. if you added the ADF BC reference as a ADF library, check this library. If you have a project dependency, check this and compile the ADF model sources.
If this doesn't help, the best recommendation is to work with customer support on how to reproduce this issue

  • Faxing problem - no modem

For the first time since I have had this iMac (IntelCore2 Duo), I tried to send a fax. Unsuccessfully.
FAXstf application is installed but System Profiler (Network - modem) says ‘No information found’.
My Print & Fax preferences show a FAXstf icon in the printers column, but when I try to fax a pdf document it just says it is waiting for the modem (which never arrives).
The computer is connected via ethernet cable to an ADSL router. There is no dial-up facility.
    Any ideas anyone?

None of the Intel Macs have a phone modem, which is needed for a FAX. Your options:
    1. Find a printer with Mac compatible built-in FAX capability. Since you posted in the 10.5 forum, I think you'll need to look here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1370
You may also want to double check that capability exists in 10.6 here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669
    2. Get a USB dialup modem that supports FAXStf to plug in the Mac. Apple used to make one, however you'll need to double check with Smith Micro (FaxSTF's current publisher) if it is supported.
    3. Use an email FAX facility such as
    http://www.efax.com/
    http://www.myfax.com/

    Hi
I managed to get it to work now on a different database.
I probably didn't grant all the necessary rights to my jmsuser.
