here is my BIOS from GPU-Z, I have looked at other posts and seen users uploading their BIOS so I have uploaded mine
Please could you change the fan speed to 30% - my dads new PC is noisey and its the fan, when I put finger on it to slow down a tiny amount it does away, Iam only here for 3 days so must get it done before I leave

what, so i have to pay and nobody else does? ive seen plenty of posts from others getting same help and they arent being told to donate>? I run my own broadband & tech support forum where i supply help to others for free (and I offer support on other forums) and certainly would never ask users (new or old) to donate before I would help them...
if svet doesnt want to help then thats fair enough. but singling out certain (or new) users to donate is the wrong way to go about it. I appreciate that he does a lot of BIOS mods and I would appreciate his help. I was told to speak to svet by someone else on another forum and thats why I come here asking for him directly.

Hello there! That problem was solved another way. Unfortunately it was not a rom issue. It means the video-card got burnt. There's 1 solution to resurrect it. You can bake it for 10 minutes. After that procedure some video-cards are back to life but for short period, mine just lived for 2 more days)))Best solution is to chage the motherboard. Very easy procedure and costs about 90-100USD. Need to buy using the exact part number. For dv6 6173cl it is 659148-001. Note! DO NOT EVER BUY USED MOTHERBOARDS!!! They have no warranty period and 100% all are defective. Thus you should find some good shop (forget about ebay and aliexpress)... you can try hpparts.us

Long bios load time with gtx970 - maybe need gpu bios update?

I just installed my gtx 970 and it all runs fine. However I get a very long bios load time on boot up. Normally it only takes a second or two with a single beep. With the 970 though I get the single beep and the bios load screen, but it sits at that screen for a long time, then another beep, waiting, eventually another beep, and after some more waiting windows will start to load.
My problem is that now I can also no longer get in to the bios. I have tried even plugging in a ps/2 keyboard to see if maybe that could get me in. The farthest I get after hitting delete to enter is I just end up at a black screen. My mobo has no onboard gpu output, so its not like its trying to go to a monitor I cant see.
So would any gpu bios updates fix this? I am currently at the latest bios for my board which updated it to a uefi bios.
cpu: i7-2600k (yes Im aware I will only have pcie2)
mobo: gigabyte z68 d3-b3
ram: 16gb
gpu: MSI gtx 970 Gaming (previous was an evga gtx 660)

I dont remember seeing any boot mode select. As far as connections I am using all DVI for my monitors. I have also tried only having a single one connected in case there were issues with multiple monitors

After reading up it looks like it was just a revision to allow ivy bridge devices, which happened a long long time ago on a bios update:

Will I need any Bios/gpu bios updates to make it work properly? Also, how do I uninstall AMD drivers so they dont go over with nvidia?

No, it should be fine in your current board. Else you can still update when you have the card using the igpu.
To get rid of the AMD drivers remove them insafemode using >>Driver Fusion<< (freeversion is enough). After reboot you can install the nvidia drivers.

Does Mozilla have a GPU Accelerated Flash Player add-on?

Whenever I try to stream videos in the 720p or 1080p category (HD streaming) I get what I've termed as "frame hang" aka videos that are choppy when it comes to the frames being streamed at even rates. I've heard that a GPU Accelerated Flash Player add-on would solve my problems, and I'm willing to give it a shot. Only, I can't seem to find this add-on among Mozilla. Does a reputable and trustworthy add-on of this type exist?

Flash video not uploaded to my website

Hello
I am very new at this and i am actually learning via videos tutorials. I developed a website in flash cs3. The website was uploaded but the flash video and an external swf file is not visible on the site. These flash videos are however visible when i test the movie in flash. I uploaded into server the an html index page, the swf files to the server. My website is www.foxwildlife.com. Please help.

The most common problem with Flash working when testing but not from the server is that the pathing to some of the Flash assets (videos, xml files, etc.) is that the path to those assets is wrong, being set relative to the .swf and not the Web page, as it should be.
The second most common problem is that some of the files just were not uploaded. For example, you need to upload all the .flv video files, not just the .swf that plays them.
For review:
Pathing issues
Almost always when it works on the local machine and not the server, it's a pathing problem.
You can put your Flash related files in whatever folders you want, they do NOT have to be in the root, they do NOT all have to be in the same folder. But if you have a problem and if sticking them all in the root folder works, then you know that the issue was a pathing problem.
Just remember that paths used in the .swf become relative to the Web page on which the .swf is placed, NOT it’s physical location. So for example, if your .swf is in the flash/data folder and you use that .swf on a Web page in the root folder, you are in effect, removing that .swf from flash/data and putting it in root. So if the .swf is loading any related files (xml, images, video, etc), the path used inside the .swf to load the .xml file has to be relative to it's new location in root and then back down into flash/data. This is true even though when testing the .swf by itself, it can be inside flash/data and work just fine, since relative to it's location, the path is just fine, they are in the same folder. But if that same path is used when the .swf is placed on a page two folder levels up, the relative path has changed, the old "same folder" path will not work.
In fact if you are placing the .swf on a web page in a different folder than the .swf is stored in, and that .swf calls external assets, then direct clicking and opening of the .swf in it’s folder should NOT work! That’s because the paths to the external assets should be relative to the Web page and not the physical location of the .swf.
So just be sure that you use addresses relative to the final Web page locations (not physical file locations) and you can put the Flash related files in what ever folders you want.

HT1600 I have only updated my Apple TV this evening. But I have a USB image coming up on my screen. The blue light is flashing. Ive checked the box and there appears to be a 'small' usb port under the hdmi slot. Have I doine something wrong?

Something has gone wrong - the AppleTV needs to be restored by connecting to a computer running current iTunes version using a microUSB to USB lead.
AppleTv2 does not require power when doing this.
Select the AppleTv Device on teh left in iTunes and restore to current firmware.

Flash problems when uploading to site. CS3

hi. hope you guys can help.. i've been stuck with this
problem for a while now. i have been putting flash files (.swf)
into my dreamweaver document and it looks fine in firefox (nothing
shows up in safari) in preview mode but when i upload it all only
the home page with flash on it appears. i've put the scripts folder
in but still dont know why it doesnt show up on the other pages. in
safari nothing shows up at all again.

Moving files FROM WITHIN DW allows DW to manage such path
changes.
Use Find/Replace to remove the improper part of the path.

Will Fireworks 8 and Flash Pro 8 upload to Dreamweaver CS5.5?

I have Macromedia Studio 8 and use Dreamweaver 8 almost exclusively. I would like to purchase Dreamweaver CS5.5, but would like to know if work in both Flash Pro 8 and Fireworks 8 would be able to be uploaded to Dreamweaver CS5.5 or do I need to purchase both of those in CS5.5?

I'd bet that content created in Flash Pro 8 and Fireworks 8 would be compatible with Dreamweaver CS5.5, though I'm not absolutely certain of it (and I'm not quite sure what you mean by "upload"). However, I'm definitely wondering why you're interested in upgrading Dreamweaver but not the other two applications.
If you're serious about taking the leap, you can download Dreamweaver CS5.5 as a 30-day trial before purchasing, to see how it works in conjunction with those applications.

Flash Video not uploading

I have a flash video I am trying to upload to my webpage
(hmstechnology.com I am a teacher).
I can upload the video to a different page (ie
hmstechnology.com/differentpage), but I cannot get it to upload to
my main page, although I have done so before.
Here is the message DreamWeaver shows:

cannot put brandonrubiks.flv. Access Denied. The file may not
exist, or there could be a permission problem.
Corona_Skin_2.swf - Put operation successful
Corona_Skin_3.swf - Put operation successful

File activity incomplete. 1 file(s) or folder(s) were not
completed.
Files updated: 3
All the files are on a flash drive. Any suggestions greatly
appreciated. Also, I tried it with Filezilla as well.

You upload files to your hosting server, not to individual
pages. If you
can "upload to one page" on that server, then you should be
able to "upload
to all pages" on that server. In other words, you are
uploading to
hmstechnology.com. The HTML on the page itself then finds the
file you just
uploaded on the path specified in the link. Ask your host for
help with
this one - it doesn't sound like a DW problem.

Rookie here: My first flash - to - server upload

Hi All,
New to FLASH, so please bear with me...
I subscribed to one of them flash template places and
purchased a template.
After manipultaing and publishing (here is yet another
question "publishing vs. control+enter (test)" which is the right
way to get a final result or they the same?) my flash file, I ran
it through dreamweaver to get it up to my server.
So here is my main question:
"html VS. swf" Which one is called when someone is trying to
view my site?
And if I DO keep the (MyCompanyName.HTML &
MyCompanyName.SWF) "my_company_name.extension" naming convention as
it was published from "MyCompanyName.FLA" file , then nothing seems
to work.
Do I have to rename the "MyCompanyName.HTML" to "index.html"
and use that?
The company I bought it from makes NO MENTION of having to
rename anything, but MyCompanyName.HTML definitely doesn't work.
If i change the MyCompanyName.HTML name to index.html it
works, but it does not center it nicely like the .swf file does.
Is there a way to make the "swf" file the index file?
Explanations of any of the above will be greatly appreciated.

The flash swf file by itself will not show on the web without
being contained in a html page. It is an object and would be
downloaded without the html. Flash is nice to create the html page
to contain it. You could always insert it into any html page with
dreamweaver. You have to have the swf file uploaded to your host
along with the html page it resides in. Typically, the file is in
the same folder as the html file although it doesn't have to be, as
long as your path to the swf is correct in the html page.
Personally, I creat the swf with flash, and place it in my
site at the root. Then I place the swf file in the pages I want.
Look at
this page. If you
view the page source you will see the file is in the same folder as
the html page. ( <param name="SRC" value="presentation_1_01.swf"
/> /> ) If I were to contain it in another folder I would
have the folder included in the path.
And as Nickels55 suggested, if you are going to use your
flash page as you home page you will need to rename the html file
which contains it to index.html. The swf file name can stay the
same.

Flash or Javascript upload message

Hoi there,
I don't want the browser to use the Flash mode but the javascript mode when uploading multiple image files using the multiple image upload with database wizzard. Does anyone know how to do that?

Are you aware that you are in a Java forum, not a DHTML forum? Javascript has absolutely nothing to do with Java. Most Java web developers also knows Javascript, but that is completely out of the scope of this JSP/JSTL subforum.
Try dhtmlcentral.com or dynamicdrive.com, those have good DHTML forums.

Ive uploaded firefox 4 and now I cant access messenger from the browser, it say unavailable, but it works as a stand alone prog.. cant find a setting to reactivate.. Please advise TY!

Im on Win 7 Ultimate and had Firefox working fine with messenger in the browser & could use the pop up chat box. Since the upload I get the message that messenger is currently not available, but it works fine when I activate it as a stand alone prog. but I want it back in my browser.. cant find any setting or pref. to activate it... have cleared cache and history, restarted, even reloaded a messenger from Windows essencials.. no difference.. it been like this for 5 days since the update.. anyone got a solution? thanks alot for your help.
