Do I have to use the two models available via the Apple store (5870 and 5770)?
Do I have the PCIe2.0 slot?
I know I have PCIe, but I wanted to make sure I have the right hardware before I blow a bunch of cash on a new card.
If anyone knows my options, please do share.

I just upgraded to Lion. Unfortunately I found too late that PowerPC software is not supported. I have already lost one day of business. How can I go back to Leopard, or is there a upgrade for the software that no longer works on Lion that will support its existence in the Lion environment. Any and all help is appreciated. MichaelVersions of Photoshop and After Effects that old (PPC code only) have to be the original CS or older.
The cheapest fix is to revert to Snow Leopard. If you need/want to remain in Lion, then upgrade to CS 5.5. All of its apps have been updated to work as expected in Lion.
Since there is no upgrade path from CS to CS 5.5 (you'd have to pay full price), then, if you can, you may as well wait until CS6 is released. Going by Adobe's typical upgrade cycle of 12 - 18 months, the earliest possible release will be sometime this fall.
One page on Adobe's site notes that the oldest software that qualifies for an upgrade to CS 6 will be CS 3. Upgrade prices have been ranked by age the past few years. People upgrading from CS 3 will pay more for CS 6 than someone upgrading from CS 5. -
After replacing a failed hard drive with new one I inadvertently created a different account name(home/user) than the one in the Time Machine backup. Now I cannot restore the photos in iPhoto. What are my options?
The best thing to do would be to start over. Use Setup Assistant this time.
Boot into Recovery, launch Disk Utility, and erase the startup volume. This operation will destroy all data on the volume. Quit Disk Utility and install OS X. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade, so make a note of those before you begin.
When you reboot, you'll be prompted to go through the initial setup process. That’s when you transfer the data from one of your backups. For a walkthrough, see here:

Don't transfer the Guest account, if it was enabled on the old system.

Sorry I find all the upgrade info confusingIn short the only option you have is trade in your 5s for the $300 gift card and the buy the 6+ for $749.99 if you're getting the 16GB model, you won't be able to get the discounted pricing for that phone unless you add a line to your account or you're eligible for an upgrade which as you have said you're not.

So my old phone (Samsung Intensity) broke today, and I'm looking to upgrade to a smartphone. I would prefer an iPhone, but really it's not that big of a deal if I get a Droid. I'm eligible for an upgrade currently. What are my options for a smartphone and a data plan? I'm looking for what's the cheapest option as far as this goes. People tell me an iPhone is free with an upgrade, and that the cost is $20 a month, but I just want to be sure.
Unless you have an old calling plan, you should be able to add a tiered data plan for your new smartphone (i.e., $30 for 2 GB). If you switched to the Share Everything plan, your monthly cost would be $40 line access + at least $50 for 1 GB data (includes unlimited minutes/texts and mobile hotspot, although the hotspot data usage comes out of your data plan), plus, of course, taxes/fees (and insurance, if applicable).
You can check pricing for phones via your on-line MyVerizon account if you click on the Upgrade button. After much consideration, today I decided to join Adobe Photoshop CC only to discover it is not available to me as my laptop has Windows Vista. What are my options other than having to buy a new computer or an old version like Ps5 or 6?

G4 with not boot with Tige- what are my options
I have a PowerMac G4 500MHZ with a newly installed 120GB ATA drive and 1.5GB of RAM.
In the last few weeks, I have tried all of the following.
I installed OS9 on the new drive. I performed all the updates to 9.2.2. I made sure all software was updated, and my firmware was current. I have the old DVD-RAM drive, which did use to read DVD movies, but from what I read on the forums here, it would not be sufficient to boot from the Tiger DVD disc. So, I booted in Target Disk mode to my G5. I used my G5's superdrive to install Tiger on the G4 drive that was loaded on my desktop. Everything seemed to work fine, but after I power down the G4 and turn it back on, I get the Apple logo and spinning gear (as if Tiger is going to load) but that is far as it goes.
I even tried the other way around, I booted my G5 in Target Disk mode to my G4 so I could still use my superdrive to install Tiger. And here is where I think the problem lies somewhere. When I clicked on "Install OSX" and it tells you to restart, it will not boot from the OSX disc. I have a feeling there is something wrong internally with the G4 that is preventing it from booting in OSX, because I was able to install Tiger on the G4's drive when it was in target disk mode on the G5, but it will not boot in Tiger on its own. I also tried installing from an external firewire DVD (Pioneer A4, super) and I get the same thing every time. The only way I even get to go through the Install process is when the G4 is in target disk mode to the G5.
Am I looking at sending this thing in for service? what are my options? I feel like I'm running out of them.
I also replaced the lithium battery in the G4 because another forum indicated that could also be a problem. If I take this to an Apple store for service, what kind of cost am I looking at? I know thats a tough questions as it could be anything. If its the mother board, what kind of cost am I looking at?

I have had experiences where the installer would crash with the 3rd party RAM installed but run fine with just the OEM RAM in the computer. After installation was complete, the 3rd party RAM was re-installed with not problems... -
Logic Express 7.0.1 What are my options?
I´m stuck! Have been inactive for some time (cancer) and after upgrading my iMac operating system up to OS 10.6.8, my old Logic Express 7.0.1 does not open. Upgrade 7.1 does not work. In December I found and bought from the On Line Store an upgrade for Logic Express 6, 7, 8, but a wrong shipping address sent the parcel back to Apple which credited my card and in stead of sending this back to me said they don´t carry this item any more.
Now I don´t seem to find anything that brings me back into business. What are my options????I don't see any problem with trying LE7 in a Leopard environment. Usually newer OS have backwards compatibility with older software. However, just in case, have all your valuable data backed up before upgrading. With all bases covered you can easily revert to the old setup if something goes wrong under Leopard. The only thing you can lose is time spent to re-install Tiger and LE7.

What are my options considering my phone is pretty much dead?
So today I was carrying my MacBook and my iPhone through my bathroom while txting at the same time. A little slip of the hand and next thing I know my iPhone is in the toilette and I am scrambling to get it out. A few hours later and my phone has gone from originally just not having sound coming from the external speakers to being completely unfunctional. My contract doesn't end until early February, and considering they won't just give me another iPhone 3G, what are my options as far as having to buy a new phone? Would I keep the same contract (I don't want to be locked in for another 2 years with the 3G)? Should I look into going ahead and upgrading to the new iPhone 4? If so, what would I have to pay as far as a termination fee is concerned?
I know its a lot of questions, but any help is appreciated.
ThanksMy iPhone 3G was "damaged" (result = the wifi stopped working) and out of warranty. When I went to the Apple store, they said they had a "hardware replacement program" and it would cost me 229$. That was only a month ago, so I am waiting to see what happens here(Canada) in terms of the 4. Perhaps, there is something similar in your area.

My iPhone fell out of my pocket tonight and almost completely flushed down the toilet....I got it out and now it's buried inside a bowl of rice inside a ziploc baggie BUT....
There are no other phones available right now. It's only been a few hours but I feel sooo lost without it. Its my alarm clock, I listen to it to fall asleep at night, and actually...I'm on vacation and I'm now without my contacts or anything.
What are my options? I'm not a rule breaker so I don't want to get a unlocked one...too scared of "the man". LOL

AT&T will sell you a new, standard, bottom of the barrel cell phone for $40.00 that you can return for a full refund within 30 days (plus, there's no activation fee). Apparently, AT&T has a plan in place for those that are without a cell phone b/c of repair issues. I'd just let them know that Apple is currently fixing your iPhone and that they're out of stock and could not give you a loaner iPhone while yours is being repaired. It's worth a shot. Plus, if you're a good customer (been with them for a while, always pay your bill on time, etc.), they should help you out... Hope this helps .

My ipod nano 6th gen fell out of my pocket and the screen cracked badly, is there any coverage for this under warranty? I just bought it a month ago. If not what are the options for getting it fixed? It is pretty frustrating, it fell from about 3 feet out of my pocket and now looks like it was beaten by a hammer.

That's where I would begin, too, with
Repair Disk
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu (Panther and earlier) or Utilities menu (Tiger) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.TStatus of HDD at the bottom of right panel, and report if it saysanything but Verified)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
If DU reports errors it cannot repair you will need touse autility like TechTool Pro,Drive Geniusor DiskWarrior
First we need to determine if the issue you are experiencing with the computer is software or hardware based. Once we have gotten things sorted out there should be time enough to make you decision about keeping or returning it.
