GR for import Vendor before Invoice verification of Customs clearing agent

Dear MM Gurus,
I have a client requirement as follows,
Its a Import purchase with Batch management
The Import PO is created without taxes because the client does not know the exact taxes applicable.
The client gets invoice from the vendor only after 7 days after he receives the material.
But they want to do GR for the material as they need the material urgently for their production before doing Invoice verification for the customs clearing agent.
In such a scenario how to go about with invoicing for the clearing agent and subsequent posting of taxes .
Is there any standard procedure available or any round about solutions or user exits. Your suggestions and solutions will be highly appreciated.

You can do GR and then do the MIRO for planned delivery costs i,e all the taxes to be paid to customs and then do MIRO for the cost of materials

    Subsequent debit : Rarely, you receive from your vendors invoices or credit memos that refer to transactions that have already been invoiced. Your company wants to use subsequent debits/credits to process these documents. A subsequent debit/credit changes the total invoice value only of a purchase order item but the total invoice quantity remains unchanged.
    The processes are:
    1)     Subsequent credit or even subsequent debit is done when total “VALUE" of invoice is changed.
    2) Total invoice Quantity is remained same.
    3) Only value based transaction takes place & not quantity base.
    4) If credit memo is received from memo then subsequent credit is done in MIRO.
    For example vendor has submitted invoice of 100 Qty for Rs 1000 & we have posted the invoice & subsequently he realized that he has invoice for higher price i.e. it should have been actually 900 Rs as against Rs 1000 .In this case he will send a credit memo of Rs 100 for which we will be doing subsequent credit.
    5) This is done for PO items if an invoice is already posted
    6) cannot refer to particular invoice
    7) Listed separately in PO history
    8) In PO total values is updated but not Quantity.
    For ur case you can pay to Vendor(freight cost ) by selecting Planned Delivery Cost instead of Goods/Services items in MIRO T.Code

    Dear All,
    We have upgraded from 4.7 to 6.0 while doing import scenario we have error to maintain excise details for import vendor.
    Whereas we are not maintaining any excise details fro import vendor.
    Please guide me for above problem.
    Also I think note 1282447 not applicable for the same

    My vendor is import vendor previously in 4.7 we were not maintaining excise details of vendor.
    But now we have upgraded to 6.0 why system is asking for the excise details.

    While Doing J1IEX_P for import vendor system gives error msg "maintain Excise details for the vendor"
    But for IMPORT vendor we dont maitain such details
    Am I right?

    I have another question Regarding Subcontracting
    When we send the material to supplier it is done thr' 4(5) (a) excise challan whose limit is 180 days (material should come back to parent company within 180 days)
    But now Excise has issued new amendment / form ie 4(5)(b) for sending the CAPITAL GOODS ie dies/ moulds etc for the production purpose at supplier's end against form 4(5)(b)  instead of  4(5) (a) whose validity is @ 2 years or more
    Is there any standard format in SAP for that? OR
    Any new note released by SAP?

  • Condition types for Import Vendor not getting in Contract

    Hi,
    In Contract Document if Import Vendor selected, for the Line items we are not getting the Import Pricing Condition types. Instead, we are getting the Local pricing condition types even if Import vendor schema maintained in Vendor Master.
    We have found that Gross Price PB00 and PBXX are maintained for both Local and Import Pricing Procedures. In PB00 condition type configuration, Local Pricing Procedure is assigned in the field Pricing Procedure (V_T685A-KALSM).
    But while creating the Purchase Order we are not facing this problem & we are getting respective Pricing Condition types based on the Vendor schema assigned in Vendor Master. And already till now more than 4 Lakhs of Purchase Order created.
    Please let me know the solution to get Import Pricing Condition types in Contract for the line items.

    In Contract only basic price will be shown, other conditions and pricing procedure do not appear, becayse eventually the contract has to be released, which is nothing but creating a PO.
    SAP Standard practice, Outline agreements (Contract and Scheduling areement) will not have pricing procedures, they will have only basic price and discounts conditons.

    well i have create above condition i want to assing all this with the all vendor. ie custom duty must go to commissioner vendor, custom clearing charges must go to C & F agent.

    You can assign this in PO, when u give the condition type say customs, there you can mention the vendor to which charges refer to.

    I checked through the link and analysed both the options:
    *Option 1:*
    on the SAP note, 1155803 - Accessing the Down Payment template; i dont have this object "oDownpayment" in DTW. We are using DTW version 2005.0.21, API version 6.80.321 and SAP B1 version is 2005A PL50. Is this a version problem?
    Option 2:
    I used the 'oInvoices' template and created the extra column "Dowpaymenttype" and 'dptInvoice' as its contents but thes exports transactions in the Invoice document and not the AR Downpayment Invoice. Below is the extract from the template:
    Documents excel sheet:
    RecordKey: 1
    CardCode: C00221
    DocDate: 20090102
    DocDueDate: 20090102
    DocTotal : 50
    DocType: dDocument_Items
    DownPaymentType: dptInvoice

    In my testing I came to know that the system is allowing any vendor as different payee in MIRO screen irrespective of PO vendor and even i am able to post the document without any error or block.
    I don't have any partner functionality.
    There is no frieght vendor maintained.
    company codes used are correct.
    Please can any one of you tell me how to control this?

    I have not explained Partner function at all.
    I have explained Std. functionality of MIRO. That means, you can change the vendor at the time of MIRO.
    Now coming back to your question, how can system picks-up different vendor at the time of MIRO at each time?
    Same vendor code or different vendor codes at each time?
    Have you maintained difference vendor code in Head Office?

    I have watermark picture of invoice with fields. I have to align table cells with fields in the picture. I have problem that on the left side fields are different positioned than on the right side. When I want to move border of cell, all line across entire
    page is moved. I want to move only border of the left cell. Also, when I want to split cell it is offered to me just numbers 1 and 11 (that is the number of cells on the other, right part of page.) How I can make this cell lines independent of what is on the
    other side of page?

    I found very useful option Design, Draw table, Eraser, and moving borders while holding ctrl key. But still sometimes it arranges lines in way that I don't want.

  • Reconciliation for a vendor who is also a customer

    Dear Gurus,
    I have a requirement which is as follows,
    My client has a vendor for subcontracting who is also a customer to him. Client sells a material and buys back the same with some additional parts fitted or some operations performed. He wants to reconcile the amount for which he sold the material with the amount for which he bought it back. Is it possible in standard SAP practices. Or does it need any developments. Your valuable suggestions will be highly appreciated.

    As concern to establish a Customer & Vendoer Kink, In Customer Master, maintain Vendor Code in Control Tab Page & similarly in Vendor Master, maintain Customer in Control Tab Page.

    I am not fully aware of entire process of MM/FI/SD integration part and process steps.
    Can anybady help me to provide Entire process and steps of transaction and config process ?

    You are asking almost the entire configuration of MM/SD/FI which is not possible.  Please describe your process where you need to answer for the following:-
    a)  whether the import material would be sold to domestic customer
    b)  whether the import material would further be processed in a plant
    c)  whether the import material would be cleared at domestic customs
    For each and every above question, you need to follow a different configuration in SAP.  Also first search the forum based on your current scenario and wherever you are unable to proceed further, please post that issue only instead asking for entire configuration.

  • Service PO  - Invoice verification before Service Entry / Acceptance

    Hi SAP Gurus ,
    I have following question ,
    I am creating a Service PO with A/c assignment category K & Item category D .
    system automatically proposes GR Based IV tick for this combination .
    I want to post the invoice first & then do the service entry sheet / acceptance etc.
    but it is not possible as i get an error message as follows
    " Valuated Goods receipt without GR Based IV is not allowed for external services "
    I tried changing message as a warning but no use .
    Is it possible to achieve Invoice - service entry sequence for this type of PO .
    Can anyone pls. answer this ?

    As per standard service entry sheet has to be accepted before invoice verification is done.
    If you want invoice to be done prior then uncheck gr-based po field in purchase order and try posting invoice.

    INS - Invoice plan, this condition type need to be used only where you have invoice plans maintained in the Purchase order.
    MRIS - Invoicing Plan Settlement , this is the transaction to be used for Invoice Plan Settlement.
    So you cannot directly maintain the condition type in the messages in MIRO transaction
