GR for PO from Vendors with Barcodes

Hello Experts,
We want to make sure we scan some document for GRs against PO and place them in our
warehouse.Can we ask vendors to use the barcodes that are supported by SAP,so that we can scan them when we receive them.
What are possibilities of doing this.Do the vendors need to buy any software to make sure that they are using barcodes supported by SAP.
Does the barcode contain the purchase order info or the material quantity? Could you provide some information to deal with issue.

I will say yes it will be possible to read and PO related information from the Barcode and input to SAP ......
To put it clear: you have to read, for example, a barcode that holds the PO information using a barcode scanner and this number should be sent to MIGO.
You might have to reengineer processes at your end and/or at your Business partner (s) end to get Barcode in unique way (more than one vendor ...all of them have to print batcode using logic in which you want).
You might have to consider various available options while scanning barcode and sendig information (automatically) to SAP or consider Interfaces, Hand held devices etc to do GR

Getting the error message: 06806 - Procurement w/o material from vendor with plant assignment not defined
while creating the PR with account assingment (P- project) & without material no. instead entering the short text in the PR.
this issue (Error message) is getting to only one user.
question-1: Is it possible to set the Error messages to the user specific. Because other users are able to create the PR with the above inputs, but the one user is not able to create instead getting the above E- Msg.
question-2: Is it possible to set the messages to Plant specific instead quesiton -1 or both
Or else, please let me know how to deactivate the above E-msg to the specific user.

Hi,
As you noticed, note 856962 has changed the system behaviour
when you are working with procurement w/o material from vendor with
plant assignment.
Items without a material master record can only be ordered from vendors
without a plant assignment.
This note will stop your users from creating service purchase orders
for a vendor who has a Plant assigned in the vendor master, issuing
the error message 06 806.

Finally , I found Vendor Master assignment to plant so it can't create FO PO .
-> XK02 -> selecting "purchasing data" >Extras>Add.Purchasing data.

Updatable View issues: cannot select FOR UPDATE from view with DI

Hi All,
I have a simple view XY and an instead of trigger on that to insert data into one table which is used in the my view. When I do insert statement on view XY it is working fine from sql but when i used same thing with page process of " Process Row of XY Automatic Row Processing (DML) " i am getting following error. I am using APEX 3.0 . Please help me.
ORA-20001: Error in DML: p_rowid=xxxx, p_alt_rowid=abc, p_rowid2=, p_alt_rowid2=. ORA-02014: cannot select FOR UPDATE from view with DISTINCT, GROUP BY, etc.

are you already on 3.0.1.00.07 or 3.0.1.00.08? Have a look at the release notes, it says something about a bug fix for some occurrences of ORA-02014.
Also have a look at the new substitution value/item FSP_DML_LOCK_ROW which turns locking off if you set it to FALSE. BI content for invoices from vendors

Hi guys,
Can you please help me in finding the appropriate BI content (DataSource, ETL, Cube, etc) for vendor invoices. I must find a way to put together the invoices that have been received from all the vendors, both on header and item level.

2LIS_02*extracts the data Invoice Qty and Amt with respect to PO number and it will not give the vendor Invoice number. There is a BI Content in only ECC6.0 and you can see the Data source 2LIS_06_INV in help.sap.com. Vendor Invoices are stored in Tabale RBKP and RSEG. These tables are Vendor Invoice tables with respect Purchasing only. You will not see Top side FI entries.
If you are not in ECC6.o, you can create a Generic Data source on those tables.

I have tried using default value as B in the customizing
If i maintain default values in the vendor master record, it will automatically adopt in the purchase info record.
Here i tried using sales person & telephone no field in vendor master record & it automatically adopts to purchase info record.
Region sales person and telephone no i have maintained in vendor master record, it automatically fetches to info record for the particular account group. I am not sure if there is any relation between vendor master and material master record.

Remittance for check to vendor with multiple invoices paid

If I print a vendor check to pay 10 or more invoices, the remittance portion prints 9 invoices on the stub and then prints the remainder of the invoices on the next check in the check run. How can I make the stub stop at 9?

MIRO for multiple PO's with different Pymt Terms (Same vendor)

Is it possible to process many PO's for the same vendor with different payment terms (PO has got diff. pymnt terms) thru MIRO. Vendor has sent invoice clubbing diff. PO's.

Hi,
There are different payment terms in financial accounting, sales & Purchasing.When you then enter a business transaction, the application in question will use the key specified in its area of the master record.
For exmple, in vendor master we have 2 payment terms one is at Company code level and the other one is at purchase organisation level.
I hope in PO, the payemnt terms will be picked up from the purchasing view, and in invoice payment term will be picked up from the company code level.
Since Payment term is at header level in invoice, it is not possible to have different payment terms for single invoice.
Also in terms of finance its not possible to have different payment terms for single vendor.

Lot size use for splitting req. qty. with Two vendors

We have two vendors and we want the each requirement to be split into the two vendor with 30 % for 'A' and 70 % for 'B'.
What are the IMG and master data setting required for the above scenario?
Please let me know whether can will use lot size 'ES' with splitting quota indicator marked in OMI4.

Hi Mona,
You have to maiantain first quota arrangement (MEQ1) for the two vendors with alloting the percentage to split the Planned orders/PRs in planning run. Apart from this maintain the lot size either EX, FS or ES with split indicator marked in OMI4 for the quota.
Yes, maintain Quota allowed key in MRP (4) either in purchaing view or in MRP2 view as said by Prasobh.

RTP from Vendor to Customer

Hi Experts,
We are procuring the Returnable transport packaging from vendor with 501 + M. While delivering the vendor
returnable packaging materials (Special stock - M) to the customer, system throws an error message. Please find
below the details.
1) In MM, procuring the ret. pack material with 501 + M
2) In Sales order, we are using the order type OR with the item category - TAL. (Item Category group of Returnable packaging material is LEIH)
3) Creating Outbound delivery
4) While issuing the material, system throws an error message as "Deficit of stock from URS" This is due to the picking of materials from the URS stock and not from the special stock M.
Please let me know the procedure of issuing vendor returnable trans. packaging material to customer and we need to return the same.

Hi,
Returnable packaging material received from vendor are meant to be returned to vendor after using the contents i.e after using all the raw materials/bought out components contained therein.
As you pointed out, these belong to special stock M.
You receive them in MIGO using 501M and then you have to return them to vendor using 502M.
These are the only movements allowed for such materials.
Whereas, returnable materials with customer are different - they are to be issued to customer along with despatch of FG and they come back to you after that.
The M stock cannot be delivered to customer and vice versa.

I have a query,I am trying to create a PO for consumable material with vendor code as one my plant.The vendor is already maintained in correct Pur Org.
I am getting following error-

Can sombody tell me how we conclude that vendor is assigned to the plant.

Go to MK02 or XK02 and enter Vendor and Purchase Oranization. select purchasing. go to Extras --> additional purchasing data.YOu can find plant assignment over there.

Experts,
I am getting "java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-02014: cannot select FOR UPDATE from view with DISTINCT, GROUP BY, etc" exception and it leads to one or more setter methods of the VO. I checked the respective attribute in the VO to see if it refers to any LOV with sql having Distinct or group by clause, but it is a normal attribute.
Any idea how do i resolve this error ?

Report for replacement stock to be recived from vendor

I HAVE ONE ISSUE ON ABOUT VENDOR REPLACEMENT STOCK REPORT
EX:.. i have done GR for material-A qty 100...and ihave done MIRO for this ..pur.order..
after 20 days i have return the materai-A ..qty 25..(without cancel the MIRO) with movement tuype 122..but this material should be return from vedor.(subsequent deliver).after some days or weeks ..( bcoz money has already paid to vendor)...like this we many materials ..
for this... i want report for replacement material will be recived from vendor

thne again recive the replacement material ..through MIGO (subsequent delivery)
in this case ..need to create credit memo..?
