GR goods receipt of over quantity  forbidden

hi all,
I am trying to do a 101 GR goods receipt via the MIGO transaction but I have a order quantity exceed. I get the  M7022 message.
Even if I produced more quantity in my order production compared to my sales order I want to able to do a goods receipt.
I tried to move the M7022 message from error to warning in the OMCQ but it does not work...
thanks
Pierre

Hi,
There is no way in production order that u can contol Excess GR by making Error to Warning Message,
It is not Standard Practice, and it Cannot work in PP.
So there is an Customizing in Parameter OPK4, There is over delivery and underdelivery Tolerence.
for ex if ur Planning GR of Finished for 100 ton, Overdelivery Percentage of 10 % increases you to GR upto 110 Tons.(100-110).
Similary Under delivery Pecentage of 10 % allow you to make GR only 90 Tons.
Pls use this to control the GR of your Finished Product.
Regards,
Pavan.

  • Goods receipt tolerance on quantity. V_169G

    Good morning
We need to set the goods receipt tolerance in both percentage and value, but by standard SAP only provides with percentage.
Do you know a way to create a tolerance key on value for goods receipt?
    Thank you and regards,
    Alejandra

    Hi,
No, sorry there is non standard option in GR for this.
I think the reason is that the price is directly linked to the qty and cannot be changed at GR stage and so if you want to have a tolerance of 10% on qty and 5% on value then the 10% tolerance on qty is irrelevant because the 5% would be exceeded because the qty and value are matehmatically linked.
I am probably not explaining it that clearly but there really is no point in having two tolerances. They are set at the material level anyway, you know the value of the material and so you set the tolerance at the lowest of the two percentages.
I am trying to think of different ways of explaining this (and I am failing, so I am sorry)
One final example of what you appear to be asking for.
You set material A with a tolerance of 10% qty and 5% value.
Material A is priced at 10 USD on the PO, if you receive 6% above qty then it would be 6% (6% qty times 10 USD) above value and so there would be no point in having two checks?

  • Goods receipt with Zero Quantity from Purchase Order

    Dear Expert,
Is this a policy or something in SAP system?
Why I can MIGO with Zero Qty from Purchase order that still open quantity?
    Best regards,
    Dedy

    Dear all,
Thanks a lot for all replies.
    Dear Thiru,
First thing, all system message i have set error, M7 061 Document does not contain any items
M7 264 Qty and / or "delivery completed" ind. or final issue ind. are missing.
    Scenario :
PO not yet tick delivery completed (open quantity), when we doing MIGO w/ zero qty and set delivery completed indicator to --> 2 Set, a document GR is posted w/ zero quantity.
Also when PO already tick delivery completed, but when MIGO and set delivery completed indicator to --> 3 Do not set, a document GR is posted w/ zero quantity.
Is this a way that SAP provide to tick delivery completed after PO final release w/ status not changeable so we do not need to cancel release or something like a bug/backdoor?
    Best regards,

  • Over-Delivery in Goods Receipt

    Hi all,
I'm setting an over-delivery limit of 10% for all Goods Receipt with respect to a Purchase Order. But for over-deliveries above 10%, i want a superior officer to approve the receipt.
Is it possible to have this type of setting in SAP? If so, how do I go about it?
    Thank you in anticipation.

    Dear,
First of all, there is No approval process for goods receipt. Delivery quantity tolerances are defined to restrict over / under delivery quantities/values. But...
I would like to suggest some thing got in mind.. but not tested ...
    1. When one user posts over delivery than 10% in MIGO - he get some error message. Once the error message shown, take /NSU53 screen and note down missing objects for this posting.
    2. For the managers whom you want to post over deliveries - give all these missing objects to the managers and try positng MIGO with over deliveries.
If this above works well - normal users cannot post over deliveries and managers can post.
Try this. Just this an suggestion only..

  • Don't allow Goods Receipt with quantity zero in EBP

    Hi
If  a Goods Receipt is confirmed with the quantity zero and the "Last Delivery" flag is set in EBP,
iin the R / 3 there will be also created a Goods Receipt with the quantity zero. Later It is not possible to
delete or cancel it in R/3.
In order to prohibit Goods Receipt confirmation in EBPwith quantity zero, I need a way. How can I achieve
    this.
    Regards
    Marco

Use can use BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI  or BBP_ITEM_CHECK_BADI to achieve this..
    Code will look like follow..
         GET SC DATA
          CALL FUNCTION 'BBP_PD_SC_GETDETAIL'
            EXPORTING
              i_guid          = iv_doc_guid
              i_with_itemdata = 'X'
            TABLES
              e_item          = lt_item.
    Loop at lt_item into wa_lt_item.
    IF wa_lt_item-quantity = 0.
    Rase error message
    ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.

  • Delivery completed indicator set still goods receipt can be done

    Dear SAPians,
I have created a P.O of say 100 quantity against which i made a goods receipt of 50 quantity.
After this i have set the delivery complited indicator in P.O but still i can make goods receipt.
how do i stop these the GRNs
    Regards
    Sujit

    Dear Sujit,
Just as what Kedar said, Delivery Complete is just an "indicator". It is used for MRP planning purposes and you can still perform receiving even with this indicator checked.
To block receiving there are 3 ways to do it, i would recommend no.1.
    1) Change the quantity according to receipt quantity.
    2) Set the lock button for the particular line item, which is proposed by many in this forum. However i think it is not the right solution because, you will not be able to do Invoice Verification(MIRO) after setting the lock button! It also doesnt look nice.
    3) You can use Final Delivery field (set it to today so no further receiving can be done). But you also need to configure system message M7163 to Error for this to work. SAP default only sets this to Warning, where you can still proceed.
    Hope this helps.

  • Partial Goods Receipt for Inbound Delivery

    Hello Frends,
We have a requirement to generate partial goods receipt against Inbound delivery created in Intercompany scenarios, however when we analzed there two alternative ways possible -
    1.  Goods Receipt in Inbound Delivery - Transaction VL32N : In this transaction, ssytem allows goods receipt for complete quantity but not for partial quantity
    2.  Goods Receipt reference to Inbound Delivery - Transaction MIGO : In thsi transaction, there is a provision to generate partial goods receipt however system not updating the status in inbound delivery document.
In this regard, requesting your support on what is possibility to fulfill our requirement, is there any standard SAP approach for this.
    Appreciate your support.  Thanks

  • Goods Receipt in Subcontracting process

    Hi,
    I am beginner in SAP.
This is regarding Goods Receipt in Subcontracting process.
I have provided raw material Quantity = 100 Nos. to subcontracting vendor.
Subcontracting vendor done machining on 80 Quantity, and we have done Goods Receipt for 80 Quantity as Finished Parts.
Subcontracting vendor found 20 Quantity as Defected.
Shall I take back 20 Quantity by Movement Type 542.
    OR
Shall I do Goods Receipt of 20 Quantity as Finished Product and price = 0. & then stock transfer of Finished to Raw Material.
    Please reply.

    Hi,
It depends on what you want your subcontractor to do with the faulty raw material stock - if you want them to scrap it you can scrap stock from subcontractor stock using movement type 551 and special stock "O" (the system should prompt you to enter the vendor code). If you want it returned for you to scrap it - movement 542 to return it then scrap it from your own stock.
You shouldn't receive an additional 20 of the finished parts - as you only received 80 not 100. Close the purchase order off to close off the balance of 20 remaining.
    Thanks

  • Post Goods Receipt Reversal with VL09 for customer returns in WM

    Hi,
We have performed Goods receipt and stock was putaway with a TO confirmation in WM. Now we want to reverse the goods receipt and the quantity is not in 904 area for returns. How can I get the stock back to 904 from regular storage type with same dynamic bin number as my customer return delivery number? Basically When I do VL09 system complains that it canot find the dynamic bin number which is same as my delivery number. Answer will be rewarded.
    thanks,
    Sarvesh

the optional solution can be as following steps:
    1) create the bin manually with ls01n: storage type 904, bin name is the delivery number,
    2) reverse with vl09 and a material doc will be created.
    3) check the bin stock with ls24, you will see negative stock in 904.
    4) create TO to offset this negative qty with lt06 with above mentioned material doc. this TO's source bin is just the one in regular storage type.
    5) confirm TO
    6) don't forget to delete the bin created in step 1,  this is because it is created manually but not dynamic bin that will dissapear automatically.
    pls reward if helpful.

  • Postings for Invoice Reversal Without Goods Receipt

    Dear all,
I have 2 invoices ( material with moving price) without goods receipt.
    Invoice 1
The invoice is posted before the goods receipt, therefore the posting to the GR/IR clearing account is based on the invoice price.
    Invoice quantity * invoice price = 10 pieces * $10/pc = $100
The offsetting entry is posted to the vendor account.
    Accounting document is below:
    Credit vendor account: 100
    Debit GRIR          : 100
    Invoice 2
The GR/IR clearing account is cleared on the basis of the invoice price.
    Invoice quantity * invoice price = 10 pieces * $20/pc = $200
The offsetting entry is posted to the vendor account.
    Accounting document is below:
    Credit vendor account: 200
    Debit GRIR          : 200
    Reversal of Invoice 2
The invoice quantity is greater than the goods receipt quantity. The credit memo quantity is covered by the quantity of the invoice surplus. The GR/IR clearing account is posted as follows:
    GRIR= quantity of invoice 2  * [((Clearing value u2013 goods receipt value) : (invoice quantity of invoice 2 u2013 goods receipt quantity))] = 10 * [( (300-0) : (20-0))] = 150
The credit memo amount is posted to the vendor account. The credit memo amount is different to the posting on the GR/IR clearing account, so the difference is posted to the price difference account.
    Accounting document is below:
    Debit vendor account: 200
    Credit GRIR          : 150
    Credit price difference: 50
Those are sap standard BUT my customer want that when I revert the invoice 2 the GR/IR clearing account will not be recalculated. So accounting document should be below:
    Debit vendor account: 200
    Credit GRIR          : 200
How Can I do that?????? Please help me, thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since the material is valuated at moving average price, the invoice reversal will happen at the moving average price only which $15/pc in your case. Inform your customer his/her requirement can be achieved only if we move to material valuation at Standard price and that too if the invoice posting & reversal happen when the standard price of the material remains same.

  • Quantity field not getting update in PCA document for Goods Receipt

We have the Purchase Account activated for our company code.
For movement type 101 (Goods Receipt), I am getting the quantity field updated for GR/IR account and Stock Account (B/S item).
But the quantity field is not getting updated for the "Purchase Account" and the "other offsetting PL A/C).
Please advice whether I am missing something.
    Regards
    B.Mohanty

    Hi Aravind,
Check SAP notes  1063198 and 1117587.
FAGLL03 display quantity which is updated in FAGLFLEXA, BSEG is not
relevant in this case. This is clearly explained in the note 1063198.
The quantity posts through to FI on the 'goods receipt' items, but not on the
    'invoice receipt' items.
In the FI normally the Quantity is not a 'real' important field, as it
is more related to the MM area.
But in the old 'Profit Center Accounting' and the old' Special Ledger'
    the field has been important.
As the same logic of these areas to 'store' the Quantity is also used
in the NewG/L the field get only filled in the line, where it make
'sense' from our point of view, because only in the 'goods receipt'
lines a 'real' Quantity is posted to the system.
So as before in the PCA and SL, now also in the NewG/L the Quantity is
filled in the correct and important lines and postings.
In the BSEG ('old document segment table') the field is filled 'just'
as it is send to the FI, but this is not completely correct from the
    business point of view.
This can also lead to issues with the reporting and summation to this
field. So with creating the new logic in the NewG/L the 'correct'
standard of the 'writing' for the Quantity has also been taken over.
So in the end, the update and display is correct according  SAP standard behavior.
Actually,Quantities within G/L are never reliable,
because the purpose of FI is a view on the data according to amount
    but not according to quantity.
In the FI normally the Quantity is not a 'real' important field, as it
is more related to the MM area.
I hope I could be of assistance.
    Regards,
    Fernando

  • Quantity related Scale pricing not considered during Goods receipt

    Hello Group,
First thanks for looking into my issue.  I tried to follow the solution in SAP Note 401941 on assessing the right unit price as it relates to the quantity received during Goods receipt, but my ABAP developers are very green at this time and they cannot figure out where to place this code fix and how it would work.
    Background on issue.
From quantity of 1 to 99, I want the price to be 4.00 each
From quantity of 100 and above, I want the price to be 3.00 each.
When doing goods receipts for quantities that have not reached 100 yet, it is still assessing 3.00 each.  I found the OSS note above that is really not helpful and was wondering if anyone else is using scale pricing and how their GRs are calculated for correct unit price.
    Thanks all for your assistance.
    Samantha

The scale pricing cannot be used to influence price during goods receipt. Goods Receipt will pick up the price from the purchasing document.
Suppose you want to have that the price be determined based on the quantity received over a period of time, you need to use rebate agreement.
The OSS note mentioned in your question says that you can determine the price based on the schedule line quantity during GR (not quantity at the time of GR). It will not solve your requirement.

  • Purchase Order Goods Receipt quantity tolerance setting not working.

    Team,
We are using the IS-Oil solution, ECC 6.0 REL 605 SP LEVEL 009 .
The issue that I have is as follows:
Purchase Order Goods Receipt quantity tolerance setting not working, I had set up a 10% tolerance on QTY received in the GR process via the PIR and also the Purchase Value Key in the  material master and also changed the message to a warning in OMCQ for message number M0722.
I  had performed a similar configuration and master data maintenance on a different NON IS-OIL client install and it worked fine.
I believe it is the IS-OIL component in the Inventory update portion of the GR process that is causing the error.
I have searched for OSS notes, however they mention that there is no solution.
Setting the PO line item as Unlimited will not be best practice for the business and will not be used.
Has anyone come across this issue? and how was it resolved, your help and guidance will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hello,
Please check the Tolerance levels in O588
Also you can use the BAdI OIB_QCI_ROUND_QTY: A new method, CHECK_TOLERANCE
