GR Should check for Related PO in BPM

Hi Friends,
I am doing File to IDOC scenario, I have to do
GR.,which inturn should check whether PO is created for that or not.
while doing GR, it should check for related PO.
If it is not available it shouldnt create,else it should create.
Could anyone let me know how to achieve this thru BPM.
if possible what steps i have to take let me know please.

Hi Vijay,
in BPM, have a receive step to get source file data.........then have a synch send step in which you will map this source file data to a RFC in r/3 which will tell you whether the PO you are sending in request is existing in r/3 or not and you will get the rfc response from r/3 in this step..............then have a synch send step in which you will have a interface mapping which will take the source file and the response of the above RFC and map it to the request of another RFC which will create GR - you will have to check from the first rfc response whether you will send anything in the GR RFC request - if PO exists, then only send GR data to the second rfc to r/3 and its response will tell you whether your GR was created in r/3 or not.............then have a send step to output this second rfc's response to a file.
now you will have to ask your functional guys to tell you both the RFCs for checking PO and creating GR.

On-Hand check for related items in inventory

Hi All,
We have a generic item (item-A) and three different brands for the generic item (item B,item c,item d) defined in the system.The relation ship between generic item and brand items is also defined.I will have on-hand quantities for the brands and not for the generic item.
1.Is there any way we can show the sum of all brand's on-hand quantity as the on-hand quantity of the generic item using the standard functionality?
2.Can we use min-max planning for the generic item alone and later when the PR is automatically created we will decide which brand to buy in PO

The answer to both your question is unfortunately No.
There is no seeded functionality to do that.
You will have to customize the onhand screen and the min-max process.

Checking for business area during posting

I need to check for business area balancing during posting of documents.
Eg: if we receive bank interest income for a bank account from a business area Y then the entries should be credited into same business area Y
Dr Bank - Y
Cr Interest income - X
this should not occur
user wants to have an error message if the entries doest balance the business area while posting a document
can any one plz tell me how this can be done?(does fi validations help in this?)

we have several business areas but use only one 'bank interest received' GL account. So when posting the entries it should check for the business area in this gl acccount with the BA in the customer(bank ) acc.
I tried to create validation at document level but it is not giving the message..

J_security_check in form-based authentication - not checking for blank passwords

I am using the LDAP Security Realm to authenticate against an iPlanet
Directory Server. All works as expected when a user-id and password
are entered for form-based authentication.
However, when a userid is entered but no password, j_security_check
logs the user in successfully. Aparently, this is correct LDAP
behaviour as anonymous login to the LDAP server is permitted. It seems
that the j_security_check servlet should check for blank passwords
before trying to authenticate against the LDAP server and fail
authentication if this is the case.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I do not believe it is j_security_check's job to check for blank
passwords.
In many security realms, it is "legal" for a user to have a blank
password. j_security_check forwards whatever password was entered so that
even users with blank passwords can be authenticated by the realm on the
backend. For this reason I believe that j_security_check is "doing the
right thing" by just forwarding whatever is presented to it, rather than
having its own logic. It is best if j_security_check just acts as a very
dumb middle man.
If behavior was altered, it is true that your particular problem would be
solved, but then many other people would have a problem with their users
with blank passwords authenticating properly...
Try looking into how to disable anonymous logins on the LDAP end of
things. Hope this helps.

ATP Check for Sales Order

Hi Friends,
I have a requirement in which I want to have ATP on material X, but if the quantity is not in stock for X, system should check for ATP on Y, which can be similar to material X.
How to achieve this and further make relationship between X & Y ?

we can fullfill this requirment by using Material determination
In Material determination Record
normally we are maintaining for A give B instead of putting like this maintain record like this For A give A after that in additional data maintain more material like B,C etc..
And maintain availability check for every material...
then u r problem will solve..

HT1657 check for rentals

Hi I just rented a movie, it played for about 10 min then stopped brought me back to the home screen of apple tv, I went to check for downloads, but it does not show up. It appears on my account that I purchased the rental though, and if I try to rerent it it says I already rented it, and should check for downloads. Any help

Welcome to the Apple community BWetzel.
A number of people have reported similar issues recently, many appear to have found a discrepancy of some kind in their account settings and making changes to these settings or simply resetting them has resolved the matter.
Check your account details are correct, check that you are using the correct details for Location, Region and Time Zone. You may want to change these settings and then change them back to see if that helps.
You might also try logging out of and then back into your iTunes account (Settings > iTunes Store > Apple ID’s > Sign Out) and restarting your router. (Some have reported that after doing this, they need to check for rentals even though it may report that there aren’t any, after which rentals once again appear in the ‘movies’ feature)
Rentals should appear under their own heading in the ‘Movies’ feature, you might also check at Settings > iTunes Store > Check For Rentals.

[ER] Jdev should check paths for blanks at startup

Hi,
Jdeveloper should check the relevant paths for blanks (and other problem making characters) and raise a warning message to the user.
There are new posts nearly every week in this forum which are caused by blanks in jdev path or similar things.

though it sounds like a plan, I'd prefer the bugs to be filed and fixed. Since errors propagate from one release to the next, chances are that if we would ask our users to adapt their development environment to known issues in JDeveloper, probably in 2015 you will have to move your desk to south at sunrise, shout cheers when the splash screen launches and press any key every five minutes.
I too use blanks in my install path for the purpose of detecting issues and file them accordingly. I would like to ask anyone detecting a path related issue to track it down so it reproduces and report it.

Open Activity Monitor, Show:>All Processes, sort on CPU%, see if anything using too much CPU% when this happens, click on Memory tab, do you have many Pageouts?
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
Check the S.M.A.R.T. status of the drive in Disk Utilty by highlighting the Drive & looking at the bottom of the window.

Upgrading to 10.1.3.1 - should I be able to using 'check for updates'

I'm using JDev 10.1.3.04; from Help | Check for Updates menu I checked to see if I could upgrade to 10.1.3.1 but it did not provide this option? Should I be able to upgrade this way? If not how?
Also, secondary question to confirm - will I need to re-install the Tomcat ADF Runtime components? anything else?

check for upgrades is used for Service Updates (SU) only. JDeveloper 10.1.3.1 is a new JDeveloper release that also includes upgrades applied to the runtime

i found out my prob!
here is what you do.
go to the "system preferences" on your dock.
click "software updates".
click "installed software"
if it shows something about a recent update about "EFI UPDATE, FIRMWARE, THUNDERBOLT" or anything like that, exit out of it.
go to mail.
click "mail" at the top.
click "preferences...".
find the account you are having trouble with, once you do, make sure its highlighted, then click the "-" at the bottom of the window (this will only effect that mail account, it will not effect your ical weather or not its synced thought that email account)
hit the "+" (right next to the "-") and add your accout back!
its something with that update that effected mail, i hope this works out for you, if not reply back

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting that track from your iTunes library (if it's still in there then iTunes won't let you re-download it) and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link.
