GR55 Description issue

Hello Gurus,
I am trying to execute GR55 with a group of profit centers.
In report output some times i am not getting description of profitcenter and with same user id and password and on same machine i am getting with proper description. This issue is occuring once in a while.
Any idea how to rectify this issue?

Check the below
Go to GRR2
Select your Report
Menubar -> Formatting - Report Layout -> Lead Column
Select "Description"
Lead column - Width - 50
Now try to execute
GR55 - Execute - Double click on your report

Hello, I have SCSM 2012 RTM and I am trying to use out-of-the-box create incident from e-mail functionality.
It is working but I have issue with description field of created incident- it comes with the last part of the eml file.
Description field of Incident looks like :

Content-Dis; filename="winmail.dat"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 .....
I can not use Exchange Connector because I can not install SP1 for SCSM 2012 - Service Manager databases are on SQL 2008 - which is not supported for SP1 for SCSM 2012.
Any help is welcome.

Thanks for your reply, but my Service manager databases are on consolidated SQL 2008 SP2 cluster.
SQL 2008 SP2 is not supported for SCSM 2012 R2. Because on that SQL 2008 SP2 cluster are also other bussiness databases which has some compatibility issues I can not do the upgrade to SQL 2008 R2.

Write-Eventlog -EventID 7036 Description Issue

I am attempting to write a service stop event to the system event log. An example of the command s I have been using is:
write-eventlog -logname system -source "Service Control Manager" -entrytype information -eventid 7036 -message "The server service has entered the stop state."
The event populates into the Correct log with the correct details with one exception, the description. The description on the general tab within the system log on Event Viewer displays:
The description for Event ID 7036 from source Service Control Manager cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the
local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
The Server service entered the stopped state.
the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table
As opposed to the description when a manual stop of the Server Service is performed:
The Server service entered the running state.
I need the description to appear like it does when the manual stop is performed. Can someone tell me how (if) I can achieve this?

Travel description Issue

Hi Experts
Am facing an issue for few exp types ;when i am trying to create trip details in PR05 , after selecting the expense type i used to enter the Mandatory Description details...(i.e Additional info pop up) i could not see description pop up window now ? please advice..

Hi Shan,
Check V_T706B1_B. Give Trip Provision Variant. Double Click on required Expense Type and Make sure the description field is made as Required.

Description issue: Role Import in CUP from ERM

Hi All
While importing roles from ERM in CUP, the description column shows some numeric values in some strange sequence (like 0,1,10,100,1000,1001,1002,1003, and so on). In ERM, roles were uploaded from backend using Mass role Import and Role description are properly available there. For the roles created in ERM itself, correct description is available, when imported in CUP.
Not able to understand this....Please suggest

Hi Abhijeet,
I have found out the cause of this issue.
This issue is coming for those roles which doesn't have detailed description in ERM.
In ERM you can see role name, Role description and also role detailed description.
If the role's detailed description is null in ERM then after importing that role into CUP the description of that particular role will become four digit numeric character. So, We can't say it is a bug because the program is witten like this.
You can see this detailed description in role in the backend ECC system using pfcg.
I hope you understand the point what I wanted to say.

Email attachment description issue

Hi Gurus,
Our issue is not really BI but we're not sure which other forum to post it under:
We're broadcasting to burst PDF reports to an internal web portal (not BI Portal). The portal has Sharepoint as backend, which is having problems parsing the attachment file because SAP's email service is appending a description tag to the email. This tag has the name of the file without the .pdf. Sharepoint reads this tag and thinks the file has no extension.
This description field can be seen in SAP Business Workplace (SBWP) /New Message/Create Attachment../Attachments tab. Does anyone know how to modify this field so it includes the file extension, or remove this field altogether when the email is sent?

From the Safari Menu Bar click Safari/Preferences then select the Security tab. Click: Show Cookies
Delete all AT&T cookies. Relaunch Safari. Try sending an e-mail w/attachment. If you still have problems, go to the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Reset Safari. Select the first 7 buttons, click Reset.
Now try again. If you still can't send an attachment, Go to the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences. Make note of all the preferences under each tab. Quit Safari. Now go to ~/Library/Preferences and move this file com.apple.safari.plist to the Desktop.
Relaunch Safari and see if that makes a difference. If not, move the .plist file back to the Preferences folder. If Safari functions as it should, move that .plist file to the Trash.
And repair disk permissions...
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

Document Description Issue.

Hi All,
When I create a document in CV01n and mention some description for that document, the description of the document is stored only in the log in language.
e.g. I logged in with EN, then the description of the document will only be stored in EN language.
If I see the same document in DE language, the description will be blank.
is there any standard way in which we can copy the the description in English to other languages.

Hi,
Espen is right. The document description is normally stored in combination with the logon language. The only alternative would be to go to tab "Descriptions" and here you can add different descriptions for different languages.
Otherwise the BADI method mentioned by Espen could help to add further entries in table DRAT.

Gr55 upgrade Issue

we are generating the report using report painter (T.code -GR55). This is working fine in 4.6c.
But we are getting problem(data is not displaying in output) in ECC 6.
In 4.6 version company code is available is selection screen.
In ECC 6 there is no company code in selection screen. Any one help me out.

0CUSTOMER_TEXT description issue

Hi,
While loading the master data for 0CUSTOMER object could able to load data for ATTR and able to see the data at object level, but if i load the TEXT data it was coming up to PSA and could able to see data in the object text table i.e., /BI0/TCUSTOMER, but not getting updated at object level.
Not able to see the description for the CUSTOMER object.
any inputs regarding this will be appreciated.

Overhead key description issue

Hi Team,
I copied COGM Costing sheet and i added new OH keys with "Z" description as labour, machine hour, production cost etc..
i have give credits as E00, E01, E02 etc..
While define credit description as "Cr raw material, Cr raw material, Cr raw material". while running CK11N i am getting different description as " OHS Ram Material, OHS Other Material, OHS Personnel".
I want to change the description like Labour, Machine hour, Production cost, etc..
Pls help me how can i change the description.

CK11N would show the description of the Secondary cost element (Category 41) involved in the costing sheet
So, if you want some other description, you will have to do it in KA02

Description issue

HI Guys,
In one of report my info-object have 30 Length (Char) , source field also 30 length output populted gud in masterdata level.
But when i create a report that info-object showing 3 characters (Ex : XXX), i want complete description what my info-obj have
in the report.

Hi Srikanth,
Check if the descriptions are maintained or not?
right click on the info object and check the properties Display as --> here if its standard try to change it to long text so that you wont miss the description.
Check in the Characteristics properties business explorer tab --> BEx description --it might be short description by default --> change it to long description if possible or else can follow the above steps.

COGI - "Error Description" issue

Hi all,
In COGI report we are facing following problem.
In the COGI report, in the Qty column's amount system shown 17,098.906(Decimal format)
(AFFW-ERFMG = 17,098.906)
But in the u201CError messageu201D column system is showing as below.
u201CBA Unrestricted-use 17.098,906 KG : 117137 112 1211 DE01519u201D (Different decimal format)
     (AFFW-MSGV1 = BA Unrestricted-use
      AFFW-MSGV2 = 17.098,906
      AFFW-MSGV3 = KG
      AFFW-MSGV4 = : 117137 112 1211 DE01519)
Now user wants u201CWhy in Error message system is not picking decimal format like quantity field i.e. 17,098.906.
It seems that while confirmations of production order u201CUser profileu201D setting is 17.098,906, thatu2019s why system put the same format (17.098,906) in the message.
Is there any way, to change the message format like quantity field or vice a versa?

Hi,
System is showing the decimal point in the Error message also. I only difference is in COGI it is in a different format i.e Comma is shown after the 17 (thousands place) and Decimal is shown after 98 (units place), where as in the Error Message it is vice- versa i.e. Decimal after the Thousands Place and Comma after the Units place.
The above difference is because of the User OWN setting in Tcode : SU01 / SU3.
Goto Tcode : SU01 / SU3 and select the Second Radio Button for the Decimal Notation in Defaults Tab screen. USe the same Radio Button for both the USers then you will be able to see the decimal in both the cases i.e COGI and Error Message.

issue is that against single inspection lot no. multiple MIC are assigned. How i can pick all MIC , MIC Description by entering inspection lot no.
ABAPer is asking for another primary key to fetch all MIC. According to abper he is unable to fetch all MIC on the basis of single inspection lot no.

Ask you Technical Consultant to:
SELECT VERWMERKM KURZTEXT
INTO CORRESPONDING FIELD OF IT_TWO
FROM QAMV
WHERE PRUEFLOS = IT_ONE-PRUEFLOS.
DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES FROM IT_TWO COMPARING ALL FIELDS.
(If you are selecting with reference to some other table.)
Or else you just need to
SELECT * FROM QAMV
MOVE:
PRUEFLOS TO IT-PRUEFLOS,
VERWMERKM TO IT-VERWMERKM,
KURZTEXT TO IT-KURZTEXT.
APPEND IT.
ENDSELECT.

Could you be more specific about your requirement.
I understand you need to fetch MIC data with reference to Inspection Lot Number. But what I don't understand is; from where do you want that. Could you please share the steps to view MIC information on SAP Screen for better understanding. It will help me and your ABAPer (Technical Consultant is better ; ) in building the logic.
