GRAC10.0 FF Log Review Workflow

Hello Experts,
we configurated the Firefighter Log review workflow in GRC10.0. The firefighter controller can review and submit the FF Log Workflow item in the Work Inbox.
There is aber a question, is it possible to let the FF controller review the status of his or her own FF workflow after the submission of the workflow?
P.S. with Access Request Administration --> Search Request, we can review the status of all the FF log workflows, but the workflows can not be selected or displayed according to Controller/ Approver.

Shared review workflow (pro 8.0)

We've just finished testing a shared review workflow and are moving into implementation. I have a couple questions.
1) can you convert a shared review pdf back to a "regular" pdf?
2) we'd like to be able to export all comments to a Word doc. There is an option to do this. We got an error that the PDF needed to be tagged. We've created a tagged pdf (out of InDesign-->export) and did a trial review with 8 or 9 people commenting. It came back and still got the same "needs to be tagged" error. Is there something else in the PDF creation process? Another setting?

Not sure if you used "E-book Tags" in InDesign or in Acrobat "Add tags to document".
Are they both the same?

Problem logging into Workflow Designer

Hi,
here is my problem. Workflow 7.0 is installed on W2k3 EE (with Forms and Form Manager) via turnkey installation ( and is on Jboss of course). I've got four other computers in domain. All with XP. And only from one i can login into Workflow Designer. All computers has access to server (with workflow installed), and to server with AD. Workflow is integrated with LDAP (i see new users added in AD after synchronization). And the problem is: that i can log into workflow designer only from one computer. And on all users that have process developer rights i can also log (on that one and only computer). On all other computers i got the following error:

i compared the size of workflow designer on my machine and on other and
EUREKA, they are different, also i got some extra directories in workflow designer directory (but this is because of using janel trick), so i copy all extra directories and workflow designer exe to other machines and now it's working.

No Review Workflow for BCC Projects

Hi
I want some inputs about the best way to setup Zero step or a No review Workflow in ATG BCC so any projects assigned to this workflow will get published to any targets configured till Production with out any user intervention. I do not need any Review or Approval in my case?
Let me the know the best way to achieve this any limitations or implications?

ATG has given the workflow which pushes the project all thru production without user intervention C:\ATG\ATG10.1.1\Publishing\base\sample-code\config\atg\registry\data\epubworkflows\Content Administration\
You can use these workflows by copying into your module.

To check the log of a workflow; you can use transaction codes SWI1 (from the list - switch to log) andsee also other SWI* transactions for the other functionalities.
You can even switch to the workflow log from the respective application transactions provided there are already workflows executed for that...using business object services...
SWWL is to delete thr work items data but not for checking the logs.

Error in FireFighter Log Review approval workflow (SWF_RUN646)

The MSMP workflow SAP_GRAC_FIREFIGHT_LOG_REPORT has been configured in the AC System with transaction SPRO.
The automatic customizing has been done, number ranges have been created. Back ground jobs are running and the customizing concerning FF id's, Controllers and Owners has been done.
The log in notification mail is sent to the controller correctly and also the notification about a new work item. The error message appears when the Controller tries to execute / open the data from the log file in the SAP Business workplace with transaction SBWP.
This is the error message:

You need to maintain an MSMP workflow for the SAP_GRAC_FIREFIGHT_LOG_REPORT process id and activate it.Kindly run the sync jobs inorder to trigger it

GRC10: Mandatory Comments on SPM Log Review

Gurus, is there a way to make comments mandatory when approving the SPM Log Report that the controller reviews? I have set the Task Setting to Comments Mandatory -> Approval (activated the workflow). Yet this has no impact. The controller is not forced to enter in any comments prior to approving. What am I missing??

No report is reaching in the controler's e-mail box.In the spool(/VIRSA/VFAT) it's giving me only overview(no logs like old value and new value).
Earlier it was allright. I noticed one thing in R/3 under T.code SCOT >INIT>SMTP,there are 100 of messages jammed in the queue.Do you think it could be a possible reason for this? If so, i need to report the issue to the BASIS team.

Import/Export Log of workflows

Hi all,
I have one very simple doubt. When I import/export any workflow, a message
gets displayed that w/f is successfully imported/exported. Now say I want to
know the exact date/time of when a particular workflow is imported in the
studio.
Can I know that from any log file ? Is there any feature to know that?

Hi Olli,
For the multiple numeric limit test, you will need to individually specify which numeric limits you want to export. Lets suppose you have 3 sets of limits for your multiple numeric limit test. If you wanted to export the first set, you would use the syntax
Step.Result.Measurement[0].Limits.Low
Step.Result.Measurement[0].Limits.High
You will need to do this for each set of limits you have in your array. Simply replace the "?" with the index of the element in the array.

PDF review workflow

I am trying to find a solution for exporting a PDF from any of the CS5 suite of products that would allow the designer to export the PDF with commenting enabled rather than having to take the extra step or opening the PDF in Acrobat X and saving with commenting enabled. Our account executives and client have only Reader and currently use the sticky note feature to review and comment on layouts. But viewing and printing these comments can be cumbersome. It's much easier for them when they are able to use the drawing tools which print on the document itself. I've checked in the presets for exporting to PDF but haven't found it to enable this feature. Please let me know if anyone has a solution or automated way of achieving this.

When you add a comment to an online review, you aren’t really changing the PDF file that is sitting on the review server. Comments (any annotation is a comment) live on a separate layer and can be added over the existing PDF without changing the underlying PDF. They are store in a separate data base independent of the PDF file.
Digital Signatures on the other hand require the PDF be modified as part of the signing process. Acrobat (or Reader) has to go into the PDF and build a hole for the signature. Browser based reviews can’t handle that operation. If you allow someone to write to the PDF on the server it opens a security vulnerability, and you also have the problem that occurs is two people are trying to write at the same time it would corrupt the file.
The bottom line is you cannot sign a PDF as part of a browser based review. If you have ever signed a file in the browser, what you’ve really done is create a local copy in the temp store and sign that. You might have noticed that if you don’t save the file (there is a flaw in the UI workflow that you are not prompted to save a part of the browser signing experience) then when you go back to view it online ther is no signature. When you do save, all that is happening is you are copying the local temp file to a location and name of your choosing.

So, figured this one out you can log this by setting a logger for.
etc.workflow.scripts to log all logging from all scripts, to log a specfic script use etc.workflow.scripts.<scriptName>$ecma.

User Access Review Workflow - GRC 10

Hi Team,
UAR request contains items which are not directly assigned to users/roles,
Example: child roles of composite roles
We are on GRC SP13.
1807552 - UAM: UAR request shows indirect roles and wrong usage count
1821101 - UAM: User Id missing from provisioning log for UAR requests
1865864 - UAM: Wrong data in UAR Request & adding Expired Roles filter
1829331 - UAM: Issues with UAR requests
I have went through the above four SAP notes and all are part of SP13.
I just want to know if anyone has faced the same issue and whether the below note is applicable for our GRC system SP13 or not.
1970118 - UAM : Expired and locked Users and indirect role assignment are also display in UAR request

From the posted message, it seems to be this VMWindow.exe is not working well.
VMWindow.exe is the executable that is used for the standard “work with the virtual machine desktop” experience. If you just start this executable by itself it will open the “Virtual Machines” folder. See: Windows

Constant Kernel Panics. Kernel Log Review

I've got an iMac G5 1st gen that keeps kernel panicing shortly after start up. The only time it seems safe is when it's in Safe Mode. The memory has been replaced, logic board has been replaced twice, and the operating system which was 10.3.9, has been upgraded via archive and install to 10.4.11 and all updates performed. Still it kernel panics within a few minutes of boot up, and usually gives video distortion right before it does.

Boot from the Hardware Test disc that came with the computer. Follow the onscreen directions and run the extended test a number of times. This will be time consuming, but it may be the only way to get it to turn up an error. Does sound like it might be the video card. Apple replacement parts for the G5 are not very reliable. Write down the error if you get one.

Invalid FF Log Report

Hi All,
Recently all GRC projects which are using GRC 10 and GRC 10.1 versions have a common issue called "Invalid FF Log Reports"
I browsed through a lot of discussions in SCN and lot of SAP notes as well, but don't have correct information on
why this is happening and how to fix this issue.
Few things as per my understanding:
1. If Firefighter Log synch and FF Workflow synch both are running together though parameter 4007 set as "YES"
Apart from this are there any reasons why the workflows shows Invalid FF log report? Please suggest
SAP Suggestions to fix this issue: I gathered these options to try but wanted advise from users who have used these options and did they work?
1. As per note 1781142, SAP suggest to cancel those log review workflows with "Invalid FF Log report"
2. Need to identify the workflow with Invalid FF log report generated for which FF session using " 2122027 - How to identify the workflow generated for a given FFID session?"
and then Execute program "GRAC_EAM_ERROR_LOG_WORKFLOW" to clean-up all cases where Invalid FF Log Report got generated.
This program comes as part of SAP Note "1930562 - Workflow got generated with empty logs due to inconsistency"
3. SAP Note 1934127 - 1934127 - GRC10 EAM: EAM recovery program to retrieve missing log and to generate the missing workflows
This program GRAC_EAM_LOG_SYNC_TIMEBASED has anyone used it?
Actually if the program GRAC_EAM_ERROR_LOG_WORKFLOW clean-up all the workflows with Invalid FF log report then I want to run this program
to re-send workflows to controllers again. But during execution of this program what are the options to be selected in order to run this
program only for those workflows failed with Invalid FF log report?

Workflow report/log?

is it possible to PRINT OUT, save, export.. a report/log of workflow with signatures and changes on document as shown in signature panel .. i mean in the end of workflow?
..to attach it to printed version, for example.

GOS->workflow->workflow overview should show the workflow log showing the status of the workflow until now (workitem name/start data & time/end date &time/decision/status/user name).
Table swwwihead has the fields wi_cd (creation date) wi_aed (end date) and wi_aagent (actual agent)
Table sww_wi2obj has the link to the object.
Table swwloghist has the workitem history.
You could use the way suggested by Karri, since the decision is hard to read directly. But for workflow reports,I usually use BW see Workflow reporting in BW – extractor improvements
