It is odd - as I used the Extract workspace, the Extract panel does not show - not even if I try opening it via Window -> Extract.
I have updated my Dreamweaver 2014 to the most recent version.
    Can anyone help me?

Good to know that your issue has been resolved.
To further investigate why that issue happened we would need some more information from you.
Please tell us more about the settings of DW before applying patch

  • How to save Gradient in Swatches Panel

    Hi!
I want to save a gradient in swatches panel. I dont find any option there. What to do?

You cannot save a gradient in the swatches panel. You can save it as a style in the Styles panel, however.

    Hi David,
With the latest release DW CC 2014.1.1, Extract panel will be grayed out till some document is open in DW. Open any document and Extract will be available for you.

  • Why won't the extract panel load in Dreamweaver CC?

I cannot get the extract panel to load in Dreamweaver CC on my Mac.
The tutorial will load, but I can never actually use this feature.

    Hi Cliff,
Can you share a snapshot of same? Also the version of DW you have? Extract panel will be grayed-out if there is no html page is open.
If that is not the case then let us have a look on your machine.
Please share your phone number and suitable time to connect over lnayalatadobedotcom

  • FLEX panel header gradient

Does anyone know how to apply a header gradient to a Panel container?
The only info I have found about this is here:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1215433
^ And I do not see a solution? I know some of the themes apply gradients to panel headers, but is there a way to do this in CSS?

I am looking at the GraphiteGraphical PanelSkin. I no longer use this theme in my application, BUT, it did produce gradients on the panel headers (as desired).
    Here is the PanelSkin definition:

  • Need Xml Extraction help...not very urgent but only 6 Hrs left...

    Hi,
I have an xml in a blob column and I need to extract the xml resultset into the (specified below) row/column format. So that i created a custom blob_to_clob function for this conversion and extracted below specified xml. Now I am executing the below specified queries for this xml to extract PanelSet, PanelId, Link values & attributes. but the problem is, I am not been able to relate the parent and child nodes or may be not able to identify, who belongs to who (parent--child). for e.g if I extract all link i.e status1, status2 etc of a particular Panel then i am not been able to access its (parent) Panel identification.please suggest me any solution.

  • Why is the Extract in DW not launching?

It just sits there saying it's launching, but nothing happens. I am using a paid version, not a trial version. I uninstalled and re-installed. Still doesn't launch.

    Hi whatup221,

  • Gradients foreground color to transparent

CS4, using gradient tool on toolbar
Obviously, I'm not understanding something, or I'm doing something wrong. What is it?
    Here's what I did:
Create one layer and fill it with black.
Create a second layer above black layer and select it. Open gradient tool.
The gradient tool has the 4 blocks, two at each end. I use the lower left block to set the color to blue, and I leave the block above it to 100% opacity.
I use the lower right hand block and set the color to white. I set the opacity to 0 in the upper right hand block.
I draw the gradient on the new layer. I'm execting to see a blue gradient that fades to black, but rather it fade to white.
    Why is this?
More importantly, what do I have to do to get the gradient to fade from blue to 100% transparency to reveal the color of the lower layer (black in this case).
    TIA.

I now have the pixel transparent gradient working. Utlimately, it was user error, though
I think the design leaves a bit to be desired.
The problem was, I had not notice the checkbox for "Transparency" on the gradient's option panel. It was not checked. As soon as I checked it, I was able to drop transparent gradients on the transparent layer and they worked as expected. Personally, I would think if one designed a gradient with 0% opacity at one end, that should be enough to have a foreground color to transparent gradient. Don't know why there's the second step.
    But, all is good.
    Thanks for your assistance.

  • Where is the gradient tool?

    Hi,
Where is the gradient tool in Flash CS4? Please reply.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
There is no gradient tool in Flash but there exist a Gradient Transform Tool (which is inside the Free Transform Tool, pls click and hold on this tool to view the Gradient Transform Tool) that helps you to modify/transform the gradient applied.
However you can apply a predefined/custom gradient from COLOR panel and saved gradients from SWATCHES panel. To Define a gradient from COLOR panel, you can choose Linear or Radial from Type drop down and you can adjust the gradient on the bottom of the panel using gradient sliders and color stops.
    Thanks!

  • CS5 Mac - gradient creation not intuitive

    Hello
I have been working with Illustrator for over 3 years now and the one thing that really doesn't feel natural is creating gradients. Why does it need to be so damn difficult? Why can't you just drag a shape with a fill color into the gradient panel to add that color to the gradient?
First you need to make a swatch and then you need to drag that swatch to the gradients panel. But now Illustrator even won't accept those swatches being dropped in the gradients panel. What can I do?
Also, why can't we just get the color picker along with the existing color options when double clicking on a color in a gradient? This would be much more convienent.
    Hope somebody shares my thoughts

    > Why can't you just drag a shape with a fill color into the gradient panel to add that color to the gradient?
Any path can have multiple strokes and fills. Which of those would you expect to become the new color stop in the Gradient palette?
    You can:
    1. Select an object.
    2. Select one of its fills or strokes.
    3. Drag the color chip from the Color palette and drop it under the grad bar in the Grad palette.
    > First you need to make a swatch...
You don’t have to define a Swatch in order to add a color as a new color stop to the current Grad. It’s just best practice to do so.
You can mix the color in the Color palette, drag and drop it into the Grad in the Grad palette. Or, you can click under the grad bar, either in the  Grad palette or on the object itself (if Grad Tool is active). You can doubleClick a color stop (either in the palette or on the object) to invoke the Color palette or Swatches palette right where you clicked.
    > But now Illustrator even won't accept those swatches being dropped in the gradients panel.
You can drag a Swatch from the Swatches palette and drop it under the grad bar in the Grad palette to create a new color stop, or onto an existing color stop to change it.
    > Hope somebody shares my thoughts...
I share your sentiment that Illustrator’s color handling is needlessly cumbersome and unintuitive. Much of this stems from its selection-contextual scheme, (exacerbated by its chronic failures of palettes and value fields to update with selection changes).
For one example, the selection-dependency of the Color palette is one of the primary stumbling blocks in Illustrator. Another is Illustrator’s silly distinction between “global” and “non-global” Swatches.
Many many such interface subtleties are just more thoughtfully implentend in FreeHand. FreeHand’s corresponding palette is a color mixer. It is for mixing colors. You mix colors there, and drag and drop them wherever you want them. You don’t constantly trip over yourself depending on what’s selected, or which way the Fill/Stroke proxy is flipped.
So yes, I agree that Illustrator is unintuitive, cumbersome, awkward, scattered, and cluttered regarding color definition, selection, and application (and many other things). But that’s one more reason why you should spend some time in the documentation to find out how things actually do work.
    > ...there are no swatches visible in the gradient's swatches panel. So my swatches panel does have swatches but the embedded gradient swatches doesn't.
If you’ve used the Open command to import a raster image, there will be no Swatches. Don’t do that. Open a new document using whatever Profile or Template you want. Then import the raster image. Whatever Swatches are defined in the Profile or Tempate will be present.
If you simply want to define Swatches or apply colors from an imported raster image, tap the I key to invoke the Eyedropper. ShiftClick on the raster image to pick colors from its screen display. If a path is selected, the clicked color will be applied to the path. If a Grad color stop is selected in the Grad palette, the clicked color will be applied to the color stop.
Otherwise, you need to accurately describe the situation so someone can replicate it. Can't tell from your description what the document contains, what's selected, or what you are doing.
    > A few rectangles are filled with a color from an image.... They have no RGB color. As a result, you can't add them to your gradient when working in RGB color mode.
What does this mean? A few PATHS are filled with colors picked up from a RASTER image? A few rectangular areas of pixels in a raster image are different colors?
If you're just ranting, that's one thing. If you want help with Illustrator, you have to make it clear what kind of object you are talking about, what tools you have selected, what objects are selected, what commands you are invoking, etc., etc. People can’t read your mind. To wit:
    > It's very strange, because if I want to make a swatch from one of those rectangles, I can't choose a color mode. All options are disabled. The only choosable thing is the name for the swatch.
See what I mean? That statement doesn’t make sense in Illustrator terms. I read it like this:
'I can't change the document's Color Mode. The File>Document Color Mode menu is greyed. All I can do in the document is edit the name of a Swatch.'
I doubt that's the case, but I don't have a clue what you are trying to describe. Restate exactly what you have and what you are doing.

  • When I select a local adjustment, how do I make the new adjustment panel scroll with the default panels

In lightroom, in the Develop module. When I select a local adjustment for example the brush tool or the gradient tool, the adjustment panel for the particular tool comes up in the sidebar where I can make adjustments to these tools (shown in figure below).
Now my question is with this adjustment panel, it seems to be overlaying on top of the other default adjustments (e.g. the "Basic panel" - the exposure, contrast etc.) and when I scroll down on the other adjustments, the brush tool or the gradient tool adjustment panel is always on top and does not scroll with the default adjustments.
I would like to change the setting of this so that the adjustment panel is part of the other default adjustments in the develop module and scrolls with them,
I know this is possible because I've seen videos online where this is the case and my lightroom on another machine does this.
Would anyone know how would I change the setting for this?

It seems to depend on the actual size of the Lightroom window. Just messing around with both LRCC and LR5 on my MBP 15" retina, with a 1920 x 1200 external monitor, and both Lightroom versions will happily scroll the Adjustments panel as well as the others, but only if the size (i.e. height) of the Lightroom window is below a certain level. So on the retina screen, when the display is set to "Best for Retina", the adjustments panel scrolls with the others. But if I change to the native 2880 screen resolution, and expand the LR window to fit, then the adjustments panel does not scroll.
Similarly if I move LR to the external monitor, same thing, i.e. adjustments panel does NOT scroll when the LR window in maximised, but it does scroll when I lower the height of the LR window (seems to be round about the 1600 pixel mark)
It's the same using LR5, and the same on the Windows platform. I suspect it's somehow based on the height of the adjustments panel in relation to the overall height of the LR window, i.e. the adjustments panel does not scroll when there's sufficient overall space in the right-hand panel to allow sight of the one or more of the other tools below.

  • How to restart extract tutorial

So I'm pretty sure when everyone starts Dreamweaver now its starts with an Extract panel that guides you like a tutorial, how do I restart this i.e starts the tutorial all over again ?

    Hi PcZerokey,
Actually you are already on tutorial psd and that's why Launch Tutorial option is not seen.
As you can see "Get started" option, that also implies that you are on tutorial page.
If you are looking for video tutorial in DW , that you can launch via Help > New Feature Videos
Please let me know if you have any more query.
