Grand Total formula different from Subtotals
Hi,
i've a question. Suppose i have a normal table (No pivot) with 2 columns: Month and Salary percentage on Month.
In addition i have subtotals on Month column and a Grand Total. I have a situation like this:
Month Salary percentage on Month
30
January 20
50
January Subtotal 100
20
February 70
10
February Subtotal 100
Grand Total 200
In Salary percentage on Month field I have as aggregation rule Sum because i want that subtotals are the sum of single rows of the month.
But i don't want this for grand total. It should be 100 (max of subtotals).
Is it possible specify a different formula for Grand Total respect to that used for Subtotals?
Thanks
Giancarlo
If your formula already contains any summarized fields then you cannot summarize that formula. Try creating a mannual running total like this
whileprintingrecords;
numbervar i;
i:=i+@formula;
Now place this formula in group footer or header and suppress this formula. Create a new formula like
whileprintingrecords;
numbervar i;
Place this in report footer which shows the grand total.

Total Cost differes from Amount in T-Code S_AHR_61016404
Hi All,
As far as my understanding goes, the Total cost and Amount should be the same value in T-Code S_AHR_61016404 (Cost Assignment for Trip) but i am getting different values in Total cost and Amount in this report. Could you please throw some light as what could be the possible reasons for this difference?
Regards,
Kumar.First of please check which expense type amounts are showing wrong.. (i.e actual Reimbursable but showing company paid or company paid but showing as reimbursable)
After finding effected expense type, please check from table se16 and then T706B1.

How to show grand total at bottom in Pivot view?
Hi All,
How to show the report Grand total at bottom in pivot table?Plz help.
Regards,
VaishnaviHi ,
Thanks for the reply but My report structure is like below:
AAA,BBB,CCC,DDD,EEE,FFF,GGG,HHH & III my report columns.I have arranged those columns in measure & i have to calculate the variance against each column like below structure.As per the report here I have lto calculate variance for 4 columns like AAA,BBB,CCC,DDD & after that total of each..then again variance for EEE,FFF & their total.After that i have to show grand total of all from AAAA to FFF likewise for rest of fields.
Measures variance
AAA(db column) 1
BBB(db column) 2
CCC(db column) 3
DDD(db column
Total 6
EEE(db column) 4
FFF(db column) 5
Total 9
Grand Total(AAA TO FFF) 15
GGG(db column) 6
Total 6
Grand Total(AAA TO GGG) 21
III(db column)
Grand Total(AAA TO III)
How to do that?

Specific aggregation for Grand total
Hi all,
Is it possible to specify a function instead of the provided list of aggregation rules in answers or in the rpd.
I'd like to calculate SUM(Xi)/SUM(count(Xi)) and display it as a grand total
__________Column X
___________10
___________20
___________30
Grand total 20 (60/3=20)
Regardswhat is the grand total formula you are expecting?
if you post it here we can sort it out.
You can find the 'Combine with similar Request' option in the criteria.
click on that and select your subject area and select the exact columns you used in your report. Now in this report change the formula to the one you want.
in your first column delete the formula and simply type 'Grand Total' and in the second column type
sum(column_name)/count(column_name)
you can ref to this link. just take how they are using 'UNION' request in the example. Though the link is not totally relevant to you it will help you.

How to summarize the formula field for grand total
Hi All
Iam desinging a report in which iam facing a problem to summarize the formula field . This formula field contains sum calculation like
formula name is @sales
Sum ({@DTM200}, {@SaleMan})+Sum ({@DTM500}, {@SaleMan})+
Sum ({@TM500}, {@SaleMan})+Sum ({@TM1000}, {@SaleMan})+
Sum ({@HTM500}, {@SaleMan})+Sum ({@HTM1000}, {@SaleMan})+
Sum ({@WM500}, {@SaleMan})+Sum ({@WM1000}, {@SaleMan})+
Sum ({@CURD}, {@SaleMan})+Sum ({@Buttermilk}, {@SaleMan})+
Sum ({@BULKWM}, {@SaleMan})+Sum ({@BULKTM}, {@SaleMan})
the fields are summary fields and iam calculating all these fields to get the final result . Upto this it is working fine but finally i want to calculate the grand total of this formula '@sales' how should do this
Thanks in advanceHi,
If your formula name is @Sales you click the @Sales formula then Click Insert from Menu bar and click Summary.
Then click Grand Total.

How to create a running total formula for different calendar years
Hello everyone,
I am looking for some help in creating a running total formula for different calendar years in Oracle. This is what I currently have organized in the crosstab report: vertically I have the cities from our database organized, then horizontially have the following information for each city:
2006 /2007 /2008
Amount /Amount Spent /Unspent Amount Amount Recieved/Amount Spent /Unspent Amount Amount Recieved/Amount Spent/Unspent Amount
Recieved
I am trying to create a formula that will specify each calendar year. For example, I'd like to have a formula in 2007 which would total the: 2007= {2006 unspent amount + the unspent amount in 2007} and same for 2008= {2007 unspent amount + the unspent amount in 2008}. I hope this is clear, I have simplified the report into a basic interpretation of what i've been trying to accomplish.
Would anybody know if this is possible and how to approach this?
Really appreciate it! Thanks.
AlexHi,
you can try and define a running total as a calculation in the crosstab as:
sum(Unspent Amount) over (partition by city order by year)
i find the crosstab format comfusing sometime since the aggregation is auto applied.
I would start with a flat table and then "duplicate is as a cross tab"
for your running total you can sort the data by the city,year and get it to 3 lines for each city, for example:
city year Unspent Amount all other amount...
X 2007 10
X 2008 20
X 2009 30
Y 2007 5
Y 2008 15
Y 2009 25
then you can use a funtion to calculate the amount :
sum(Unspent Amount) over (partition by city order by year)
this is the sql i used just to check it:
SELECT city,year,"Unspent Amount"
,SUM("Unspent Amount") over (PARTITION BY city ORDER BY YEAR)
FROM (
SELECT 'X' city, 2007 YEAR, 10 "Unspent Amount" FROM dual UNION ALL
SELECT 'X', 2008 ,20 FROM dual UNION ALL
SELECT 'X', 2009 , 30 FROM dual UNION ALL
SELECT 'Y', 2007 , 5 FROM dual UNION ALL
SELECT 'Y', 2008 , 15 FROM dual UNION ALL
SELECT 'Y', 2009 , 25 FROM dual

I have a quantity field in my main report that I passed off to my subreport. In the subreport I took the quantity field and placed it in a formula ({@Valuation Material Costs}*{@Qty from Main Report}). This is placed in the Group Header. Now I want to setup a grand total of this formula but I can not figure out how to get there. Any ideas?
If your formula already contains any summarized fields then you cannot summarize that formula. Try creating a mannual running total like this
whileprintingrecords;
numbervar i;
i:=i+@formula;
Now place this formula in group footer or header and suppress this formula. Create a new formula like

Place this in report footer which shows the grand total.

Inserting a Grand Total on formulas with variables
Post Author: MikeA-ICE
CA Forum: Formula
I'm working on a subreport that displays the amounts of items 1-4 in the details band. They contain a quantity and I am performing a calculation where I multiply the quantity of those items by the total of the main report. The main report passes its Grand Total to the subreport via the "Store/Fetch" function and the calculation works perfectly. However, when I try to get a Grand Total of those items, that option isn't available. I tried to build a standalone formula to do this (SUM (Markup$) but it didn't work. How can I get the total value of items 1-4 so I can send it back to the main report to do more calculations on?
Thanks for the help,
Mike

Thanks Jagan. I'll check that out. I've been using the Store/Fetch function for years and it works well. My problem is generating a total to send back to the main report. Basically, I'm trying to send a value from the main report to the subreport to use in a calculation, then send send the total of that calculation back to the main report from the subreport. But I can't get Crystal to allow me to insert a subtotal on the 1st calculation in the subreport. -
Alv subtotals and grand total for a field
Hi friends,
I Have an internal table ITAB1
in that i have a senario as below.
In my GRID display iam getting values in the layou as follows
BUKRS = 1000
LIFNR MATNR STCST

100 pqr 400,00
100 xyz 200,00
sub total
200 pto 700,00

How to display subtotals in every page and the grand total in the last page
Hello Abapers,
I am working with Smartforms. I am not able to print the subtotal in every page ie the Price for that particular page alone should be summed and in the final page I want the grand total also to be displayed. I tried the Total option in the Calculations tab but the value is just getting incremented on every page..How can I achieve this..
With Regards,
Bennet.Hi,
Declare two different variables for subtotal and total
Use them in the calculation tab of the table node.
After displaying the subtotal create a program lines node to clear the value of the subtotal. And dont forget to mention the condition in the condition tab of the text node of your subtotal as only before end of main window.
display the grand total in the text another text node with condition... only after end of main window.

In the info bar at the bottom of the iphoto screen, why is the number of items different from the total?
What version of iPhoto and system are you running? What mode are you in, i.e. Events, Photos?
If it's the Photos mode the number at the bottom will represent the number of photos displayed in that mode or the number of photos selected in that mode. The number will match the number next to the photos mode only when there are no photos in that mode that are selected.
If you click on the Events icon and then back on the photos icon the numbers should match.

Calculated members In Excel 2013 - subtotals and grand totals missing
I am using Excel 2013 to query an SSAS OLAP cube. I have selected 2 dimensions in the row area, and I need to consolidate specific combinations of members values of each dimension. To do this I have created calculated members which combine sets of members
of each dimension, as in the code example below.
These members produce the desired results except that I do not have any subtotals on a 3rd dimension in the row area (Internal segment name, cf. image below), nor grand totals in the pivot table.
I am fairly new that MDX and would appreciate any advice on how to correct the code below.
Code for the member [Manufacturing Item].[Item Type].[All].[Cards Contact]
AGGREGATE(
CROSSJOIN(
{[Manufacturing Item].[Item Type].&[CARD BODY OTHER],
[Manufacturing Item].[Item Type].&[CARD BODY],
[Manufacturing Item].[Item Type].&[SMART CARD]},
[Techno cards contact]In my previous post, the solution happened to work because the combination of the calculated members was equal to the whole dimension. But I found a cleaner method: subtotals need to be calculated for the combination of all the calculated members, so the
logic is to create a set that contains all of them. Then aggregate the measure for this set only for subtotals. To do this, I have created the following calculated measure:
IIF(
ISLEAF([Manufacturing Item].[Item Type].CurrentMember),
[Measures].[Manufacturing Volume],
SUM({[CalcMembers]},[Measures].[Manufacturing Volume]) -

ThanksCreate a prompt based on the report(incl criteria) from SA1, include the measure column in the prompt, the value of the measure is based on the 'contrain' of each column in the prompt and assign to Presentation variable.
Call Presentation variable in the report which is from SA2.
ex: Report 1 from SA1 is like: $amount by year, by prodcut,by org
Report 2 from SA2 is like: $OrderAmount by year, by prodcutType,by org
Report1 by Prompt: Year->constrain, PRoduct->Constrain, Org-Constrain, $Amount as PS Var 'amt'
Report 2 as reqular report, try to call @{amt} in the report for addition.
