Graph in reports

Hello, I'm using Reports and I want to do a graph bar in it. But with three results, I'd like to superpose it in one bar like this :
The assistant draw me that three bars :
Is it possible to do it and how ?

Hi,
It is possible, Create a Group report and insert graph between groups, while defining the graph using wizard, you select once per *(Group repeating frame) in position panel. then, You can see the graph for your three results.
Thanks,
Oracle Reports Team.

  • Migrating Graphs from Reports 6i to Reports 10g

    While migrating Graphs from Reports 6i to Reports 10g is there a possibility of maintaining the same graphs rather than recompiling them using the Graph Wizard of Reports 10g. I have hundreds of reports with graphs and will be an uphill task to re-draft all the graphs. Kindly suggest alternatives to overcome this dead-lock.
    Thanx in advance
    Sridhar

    Hello Sridhar,
    10g is not supporting Graphics builder. So you got to create/insert all these 6i graphs in 10g. Open the 6i report and compile in 10g. It will give you file not found error. Delete the graph area in the layout editor.
    Then drag the chart icon and drop in layout. Redesign again. Offcourse it is not fun. But there is no way.
    Also there are tons of bugs in 10g report Graphs. You won't find some cool features like Others % option in the pie slice provided by Graphics bulider. You got to change graph.xml file for some of the features. Even the graphs looks ugly in 10g. Migrating graph reports is really frustrating in 10g. But we have no choice. Recently we migrated to 10g. Becareful with matrix reports. 10g keeps on getting crashed when ever we develop matrix report. GOD knows the reason.
    But 10g has some very very good features like Distribution

  • When displaying multiple curves on one 2d graph in reports how do I force one curve to be in the foreground?

    When displaying multiple curves on one 2d graph in reports how do I force one curve to be in the foreground? I have two signals and I want to show one overlayed on top of the other. Right now Diadem will only graph it the other way around. I have tried deleting the curves and re-adding them in differnt orders, changin the order they are in the curve list, changing their order inthe data portal, right clicking on the curve and selecting "move to forground" (this only moves the entire 2-d graph object to the foreground). Im using Diadem 12.0 Basic.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hello Joe,
    I figured out what causes your curves to draw in the wrong "order".
    You are using two Y-axes, and DIAdem always draws the data for Y1 before Y2, no matter what the order of the curves is in the "Curve and Axis Definition" dialog.
    I am attaching your layout with a small modification, I changed the Y1 and Y2 axis order (I swapped which Y-axis the data is displayed on), and I get the following result:
    Once I looked at your layout it became clear why the order of the curves didn't reflect the order in which the curves were drawn. I didn't know this - so I just learned something new here as well.
    I hope this answers your question, feel free to ask if there is anything else I can help you with.

  • Calling graph from Reports created in graphics builder?

    Can you call a graph from Reports 6.0 that was created in Graphics Builder. I know you can call a graph from Forms. I tried creating my graph right in Reports with the wizard but for some reason it does not give me the fields I want to use in the available fields column, so I created the graph in Graphics Builder. Do you use a trigger of some sort. Any examples would be appreciated if this is possible. Thanks

    Justin Beno:
    Yes, you can call a graph from inside a report. All you need to do is select the button with the graph on it (not the icon with the wand, which indicates chart wizard). Then draw graph in the area of the report where you want the graph to display. After completing this, right click on graph, select Property Palette, Chart - Chart Filename (this is where you will type in the directory and filename of your graph that you created in Oracle Graphics).

  • Graph in Report 9i

    Hi,
    1. How can I add a bar graph in report 9i?
    2. How can I call a OGD file from Report 9i?
    Please let me know ASAP.

    You cannot create new chart modules because Oracle Graphics6i is no longer
    shipped with Oracle Forms. However, you can display existing charts in Forms and
    Reports applications that have been migrated.

  • Graphs in reports

    Hi all
    how could we draw graphs for report.its an urgent.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    my standard recommendation:
    use the Chart Engine - the 'next generation' chart compared to the GRAPH* function modules or the GFW. It's available as part of the IGS but also as an ActiveX control within the SAPGUI.
    Have a look at the demo program GRAPHICS_GUI_CE_DEMO or directly at the class CL_GUI_CHART_ENGINE.
    The customizing settings of your chart can easily be created by using the interactive SAP Chart Designer (see Downloads area of SDN - Web AS). After downloading it you also find the full description of the data XML within the package.

  • How to Generate Statistic Graph in Report??

    Hi, i am developing an questionnaire program together with 19 question... i am able to get value for each value..
    Now my problem is how to generate a statistic graph whenever user can check their report ??
    Can anyone help?? Thank you very much......
    from bscs

    The easy way is to use your values to set the width or height of an image dynamically in HTML, but you can only do bar charts using this method.

  • Text missing from the Graphs in Reports

    Hi Experts
    I have a strange issue with BW Reporting in Production. After I execute the report, the text in the "graphs" are missing for some specific data. It is working for some components. I have checked the report in Quality system and it is working fine. Please help
    I have checked the IGS Patch level and they both are same in Quality and production.

    Hi,
    If you are using WAD to diaply charts, open your web template and select that chart web item and go to properties of that web item. Increase the "Height" and "Width in Pixels" according to your need. Then you will find the texts of those charts in the output. It depends on the size of the chart occupied.

  • Transparent Graph in Reports 10g

    Hi everybody,
    Can you tell me how can I create graph with transparent background? Yes, of course I read Graph faq (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/reports/htdocs/faq/graph_faq_with_style.html#q31) but I need create graph with transparent background and not graph with image in background....
    Thanks for your help

    I got this to work in the web layout. First, I modified the <BODY ...> tag to include a background image. Then I added the following code to the Web Source right before the </BODY> tag:
    <rw:graph id="graph" src="G_1" series="dname" dataValues="deptno">
    <!--
    <?xml version="1.0" ?>
    <Graph version="3.2.0.22">
    <PlotArea fillTransparent="true"/>
    <Background fillTransparent="true"/>
    </Graph>
    -->
    </rw:graph>The graph is transparent and the background image shows through it.
    In the Paper Layout, this doesn't work - the transparent areas of the graph are black.

  • Graph in reports -- Values in Y-axes

    hi all,
    I want to do a Gantt chart principle with in a report
    to show the employee leaves against thier periods
    the table structure simply is :
    EMP_ID
    EMP_NAME
    LEAVE_TYPE
    START_DATE
    END_DATE
    so i want the EMP_NAME on the Y-axes , and the calendar date on the Y-axes,
    and the bars will shows the start date and the end date against each employee
    did anyone had this issue before?
    is there a workaround with graphics ??????

  • How can I customise graph in Report.

    Hello,
    I have used additional result to display the array in graph format not in table format.But how can I customise this graph.
    Is their any  provision for customisation of graph adding axis and multiple line in single graph.
    we can choose  graph ond table from report option.But  can we choose both as per our requirement step wise.Example for step 1 we can use tabel and for step 2 we can chose graph.

    Hi,
    Waveform, XY, intensity, digital waveform support multiple x- and y-scales, and all charts support multiple y-scales. Mixed signal graphs support only one x-scale. Use multiple scales on a graph or chart to display multiple plots that do not share a common x- or y-scale.
    Complete the following steps to add a scale to a waveform graph or chart.
    Right-click the scale of the waveform graph or chart and select Duplicate Scalefrom the shortcut menu.
    To move the new scale to the opposite side of the display, right-click the new scale and select Swap Sides from the shortcut menu.
    Associate a plot to the new scale by right-clicking the plot in the plot legend and select from the X Scale or Y Scale shortcut menus. If the plot legend is not visible, right-click the graph or chart and select Visible Items»Plot Legend from the shortcut menu.
    To change the range of the new scale, use the Operating tool or the Labeling tool to highlight the end value(s) of the scale and enter a new value. If you set the scale manually, you should disable autoscaling.
    I did not get the second part of your question, please clarify on that.

  • "How to create graphs in Reports"

    Hi All,
    Please anybody help me how to create graphs in the BEx Analyzer and whenever the reports will be refreshed the graphs should also be refreshed with the updated data.
    Help much appreciated.
    I will assign points.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sunil Morwal.

    Hi Sunil,
    You can get charts in Bex Analyzer. After you execute the report, from the Tools menu > Insert Chart. You can position and edit the chart as desired and save this as a workbook.
    Hope this helps...

  • Using graphs in Reports

    I have a requirement to display up to 7 different graphs on a single page. The data comes from Oracle Applications 11i. Thinking of using Oracle Reports to create this and embed charts within it.

    Hi Ram,
    how can I draw a curve instead of line?I have posted a Q in BI Beans Forum for you, we should get an answer there:
    Curved Line Graph?
    10g reports charts wizard. It has only limited number of Graph types when compared to the Graphics builderThat may not be exactly true.
    10g Graph Wizard supports 11 major graph types, and 47 sub-types
    While 6i Graphics Builder supported 5 major graph types and 35 graph sub-types
    There are differences between 6i Graphics and 10g Graph Wizard, so certain things you might have been able to do in 6i may not be entirely possible in 10g. However, the main advantages of the 10g Graph option are - it internally uses BI Beans, which is used in ALL Oracle poducts like JDeveloper, Discoverer, Oracle Apps etc. So the customer gets a consistent look-and-feel. And that it is possible to define your Graph in XML format (and through Java API in JDeveloper).
    We have published a list of FAQ's on OTN where you should get answers to at least some of your Q's:
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports/index.html (click on Graphing FAQ)
    Is there anyway that I can add my own attributes in the graph.xml and register in the reports?This will not be possible, however, you should take a look at the complete list of elements and their attributes that is exposed in Graph.dtd - you can then choose the attributes you want, and add them to your Report's Graph.xml:
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports/htdocs/getstart/whitepapers/graphdtd/graph_dtd_technote_2.html
