Infinate loops? Can you give a brief explaination of what is meant by that?
Try to increase your RAMs voltages to 2.7v to see if problem persists.

Satellite A100-998: Blue Screen error - nv4_disp.dll infinite loop
I bought this laptop a month ago and I have a serious problem with 3d applications, 3ds max and video games. I receive a blue screen saying
Error message: STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER
nv4_disp.dll
STOP: 0x000000EA (0x8408E6B8, 0x88D33F60, 0xBAF7BCBC, 0x00000001)
(hope i noted down correctly) and it says something about "that this device caught in an infinite loop)
I downloaded the latest drivers for my nvidia display Forceware 84.68 (GeForce Go 7300, 512ram)from Toshiba but nothing changed. Any suggestions ? What is the problem? the performance is really good until the blue screen appears, so i don't see why this happens...
The laptop came with windows xp media center edition.
Thanks in advance.> Yes, i think so, the problem is that it is not easy
> to be separated with my laptop ... especially when
> you have deadlines! I will call them tomorrow maybe
> there is a hardware problem. It happens in all 3d
> applications, and i have the most recent drivers.
Did you ever get an answer? When i took my laptop home, the first thing i did once it was setup was test various 3d programs, because i bought it to do my 3d work on as well as having something mobile for work. I got that stop error, called toshiba and was told to uninstall and reinstall the graphics driver. Sounded like a fob but i did it anyway, and it had no effect. It seems like there's nothing i can do as Nvidia says they don't support it, it's a toshiba problem, and toshiba swears it can't be their fault.
I used to see it on my desktop (before it went to computer heaven) until i updated the driver (a new one came out), and then i never got it again. From what toshiba tech support told me, it sounds like they won't be updating the driver for the go 7300 as it's regarded as too old? I'm pretty disappointed as my search of reviews of the product never revealed this flaw.
One person who i talked to advised me to disable Hardware Acceleration, but wihout that i might as well saved money and gotten a cheapy graphics card. The price difference between a notebook with this card and one with the onboard intel type was huge.
The first notebook i bought had a faulty dvd drive and i returned it for this one. I cringe at the thought of calling toshiba again and having them tell me to return it to them as if it was a hardware failure, when it sounds like a poorly written driver is causing the STOP. -
Graphic card problem - blue screen error
Hi
When I turn my computer on after it has been off for a long time, it comes up with a blue screen which says: "Your graphics card has got stuck in an infinite loop and your computer had to be shut down to prevent damage"
When I restart my computer it is fine, but I still want to change my graphics card, or at least fix he problem
ThanksHello
Download the graphic card driver from Toshiba download site. In device manager open graphic card properties. Chose please driver tab and use uninstall (advanced) option. After that restart the unit and install downloaded Toshiba driver.
I am pretty sure that it should work well again.

Graphic card problems after last flash player update
Hi,
since the last Adobe Flash Player my computer repeatedly either reboots itself, turns the screen black or crashes completely, giving a blue screen error message saying there is a problem with the ati2dvag.dll graphics driver, causing the graphic card to be in an infinite loop. Neither updating the graphics drivers nor deactivating the hardware acceleration solves the problem. Since we have the same problem on a second computer with identical hardware, I suppose it must be a software problem.
I´m using a Intel Core2 Duo CPU E6750 @ 2,66 GHz with 2 GB RAM. The graphic card is a ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro. Operating system is Windows XP SP3
Is this a familiar problem and can anybody suggest any solution?
ThxHi, I found the file but I'm still not sure what really happend.
First I followed a brodys advices (thanks!). Different was, that the flash player download looked really like the original from Adobe. It simply appeared as an update request as som many others as well. What I want to say is that I didn't go to a web site and downloaded it. In fact I think it was the original and everything was a coincidence.
The Mac OS version I run on the MacBook is 10.7.4! Nevertheless I installed the flashback trojan patch. But nothing happend.
With the remaining 300 Mb of diskspace I could operate at least a little.
There are three users on this macbook.
I logged in each of the user and found that in my daugther uses 160 GB. I found a file MOV_6007.AVI with a size of 148GB sitting in the recovered picture structure of the iphoto library.
My daugther told me that she was downloading movies from a dropbox folder and then she imported them into iphoto. She did it using the finder, selecting them and dropped them onto the iphoto icon in the dock.
Whatever happend later I have no idea. The Macbook was running during the night. The next morning I used it to read news and at this time I accepted the adobe flash upgrade.
In the system log files I found an entry that showed I had about 8GB of disk space free at this time. It should have been about 160GB. So somehow this file grew already that much during the night.
And it obviously grew further until I got the disk full message minutes later.
It is scary! So what I did now is delete the file and it seems the Macbook is ok again.
I wanted to tell this long story as it is probably something new and somebody else had a similar issue already. -
I am having the same error occur with my graphics card in the T400 multiple times.
It goes into an infinite loop, and then goes to blue screen, saying that the graphics card has gone into an infinite loop and the system has been shut down for protection ect...
Is it possible that this is due to overheating? the T400 always seems to be very hot when this happens.the heatsink/heatpipe associated with the GPU is located under the keyboard, so if you take off the Keyboard then you should be fine. However, don't remove the heatsink assembly, as this will void your laptop warranty.

MS-6390 and Radeon 9200SE "infinite loop" error
I recently installed a radeon 9200SE PCI graphics card, and after about a week of perfect operation I began getting the "infinite loop" error. I've tried every fix I can find and nothing works, and upgrading my motherboard isnt an option since I can't afford it.
Anyone have any ideas as to how I can fix this?tried another pci slot with it?

After updating to Mavericks I have this problem. From what I guess, my audio out (either the signal, or the entire soundcard) cuts power after being idle for about 30 seconds. This results in a static noise when connected to my external amplifier. From various forums, dating back to 2007/8 I can see this is not a new problem. The only workaround is playing an empty .wav sound on infinite loop (either by using a terminal command, or by a third-pary app which does this for you), preventing the audio out from timing out and cutting power. This seems to me to be an undisirable proceeding. Even if minimal, it uses extra power and memory. Is there any way to prevent the sound card from timing out like this?
Ok. I tried disconnecting the charger from my macbook and that actually helped. The noise is now so low it is hardly audible, so I guess it has to do with a ground loop. But still, even when hardly audible it still only happens after 30 seconds of idle time. Is that because my theory about a timeout is correct, or is there some other reason for this? This used to just happen when my macbook went on standby (sleep), but now it happens allready after 30 seconds, so even though it may be a loop, it wasn't like this before. I'd love to understand what is different now.

Cc-BPM in infinite loop....
Hi All,
I have trasported one object from our QA system to production through file method which we usually do. The object include BPM also. Now when i run a file the BPM is geting into the infinite loop. I want to understant where exactly the problem is occuring.
Yes, i found the graphic and got the method where it is failing but i am searching in which exact point it is failing in.
As this is a trasport so there would not be any sorts of changes should occur.
Thanks,
JayThanks for the responce.
It seems that i am faing the problem while raising the exception. The below should be the steps but the message in production runs till " Loop1, Start Message: Receive1" . After that no expection is raised. so no message is send to "sendmessage".
What might be the cause of this failure....

Paint() method is in infinite loop when focus is set to JTextPane
Hi All,
I am creating one JScrollPane, JPanel and JTextPane. JPanel is added to JScrollPane and JTextPane is added to JPanel. If I override paint() method in JPanel, its in infinite loop. I don't know why it is behaving like this. Can anyone solve my problem. Since, I am doing so much drawings in paint() method, its getting to slow.
Here is the code what I wrote.
import javax.swing.*;
import javax.swing.border.*;
import java.awt.*;
import java.awt.event.*;
public class TestTextPane1 extends JFrame {
JPanel panel;
JScrollPane pane;
public TestTextPane1() {
panel = new JPanel(new BorderLayout()) {
public void paint(Graphics g) {
super.paint(g);
System.out.println("inside paint");
JTextPane textPane = new JTextPane();
panel.add(textPane);
pane = new JScrollPane(panel);
getContentPane().add(pane);
setSize(300, 200);
setVisible(true);
public static void main(String [] args) {
new TestTextPane1();
Any help will be useful for me.
Regards
Kishore.What are you trying to do? You are adding the textPane to the panel and then overriding the paint() method. The textPane will never be painted if you do this.
In Swing, you should override the paintComponent() method, not the paint() method. See the Swing tutorial on Painting:

Full crash with graphic degredation and audio looping. Hard reset needed.
I haven't seen anything else like this posted so perhaps it's an isolated issue. However, I've been running my new late 2008 MacBook Pro for about a week and over the past couple days have had it start hard crashing on me. The graphics will freak out and the audio will stop what's playing and loop over. The computer is completely crashed.
This has happened running on both the 9400 and the 9600 graphics cards. Also, I've had it happen with and without an external display connected.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Here's a pic I snagged of what it looks like when the computer crashes. Sometimes the screen freaks out and sometimes it doesn't.

1. Call Applecare
2. Go to a Genius Bar
3. Do it yourself--no guarantees on this one! I don't like the look of the screen, and tend to think it is a hardware problem, notwithstanding the results of hardware test. Genius Bars have more extensive tools. If you belong to AppleCare you have a TechTool Deluxe disk that can run some tests as well. Archive and install (rather than erase and install) is an option, but my money is against it. All in all, I would call applecare first, then go to a genius bar.

Bluescreen - Caught in an infinite loop
Hello,
I have a strange Problem with my System. Everytime I use a 2D/3D progam it freeze after about 30 minutes.
But the strangest thing is, new games like Quake4 , F.E.A.R and Oblivion do not freeze.
I tried everything that I know.
- Ran Memtest86+ like 8h, no errors
- Ran Prime95, no erros
- Checked System Temprature
- Tried Omega and DNA driver
- BIOS update
- Disabled Write Combing, found it on Microsoft Support Page
- Put the Graphiccard in another computer, it works perfect
- Reinstalled Windows, same error
- Put out Creative X-Fi
Thank you for Reading.
I hope you can help me.
JackHello and thank you for your fast reply

It sounds like either a problem with the program itself or a problem with your OS
Yes it is a problem with Windows Xp, but I dont want to use Win2000 or any older version. https://support.ati.com

I would recommend checking to see if the program has an patches, and if not, then try a fresh install of the program
Well the problem is not only by games, the problem occurs by every simple 2D/3D application, so a patch wont help.
Quote
If that does not work, then it might be time for a fresh install of your OS
I have done that last week, but the Bluescreen occur as soon as I install any Graphic Driver.

I would also recommend using the latest nVidia nForce Drivers & ATi Catalyst Drivers
I already have the last version of the Nforce Driver and I tried the newest ATi Catalyst Driver as well.
I am happy for every further suggestion.

Been using iTunes for awhile now and have learned to deal with some of its "quirks" but there is one issue which I am at my ends with.
I have this issue where after a set amount of time iTunes will crash and studder indefinitely (infinite loop). It seems that this will occur after approximately 12 hrs of continuous playback. My main issue at this point is determining the source of the problem; my sound card, or iTunes. My hunch is iTunes since I can play the same music in Winamp (Latest Version) until I run out of songs to play (takes about 5 days). I have considered the problem as being a possible corrupted audio file however I have determined that this occurs on a very random list of .m4u files. I have not investigated any further into the varying file types of my musical collection however I do know that there are approximately 90% .m4u files, 9% .mp3, and 1% .OTHER.
Feel free to deck me if this has already been posted... I'm very tired and am not willing to reach for the mouse at this point...

Odd behaviour in Graphics2D.drawImage - infinite loop?
Hi,
I have the following code inside an overriden paintComponent (JPanel):
g2.drawImage(fc.getImage(),(int)fc.getSignificantPoint().getX(),
(int)fc.getSignificantPoint().getY(), vioPanel);fc is just an object that is a wrapper for an image and vioPanel is the JPanel class that has been overriden (it's not this because the drawing on g2 is done outside the jpanel class)
I'm getting some really strange behaviour that i can't explain: when the images are drawn i noticed they were flashing. so i put a system.out.println into the paintComponent method and it seems that calling the g2.drawImage method is causing the panel to be repainted constantly as if it is stuck in an infinite loop. Has anyone else experienced this? if so, do you know the solution?
If it helps, if you replace the vioPanel variable with new JPanel() the looping stops.
Cheers,
jjhi,
VioPanel is a simple class that overrides JPanel with some extra functionality. Essentially tho, it overrides the paintComponent method as shown below and calls a method of a different object that draws the shapes and images. I tried putting all the code in that method into paintComponent (i.e. classic overriding of paintComponent), but still get the same problem.
public void paintComponent(Graphics g)
super.paintComponent(g);
dm.fireGraphics2DSequence();
}The fireGraphics2DSequence method does all the drawing:
public void fireGraphics2DSequence()
Graphics2D g2 = getPanelGraphics();
g2.scale(magniFactor, magniFactor);
//separate entities out
ArrayList features = getFeatures();
ArrayList lines = getLines();
//draw map entities (lines and hubs first)
for(int i = 0; i < lines.size(); i++)
//draws shapes, which works fine
//draw nodes
g2.setColor(Color.black);
for(int i = 0; i < features.size(); i++)
FeatureCircle fc = (FeatureCircle)features.get(i);
if (fc.isTagged()) continue;
g2.drawImage(fc.getImage(),(int)fc.getSignificantPoint().getX(),
(int)fc.getSignificantPoint().getY(), vioPanel);
//System.out.println("drawing "+i);
if(entLabels) g2.drawString(fc.getName(),(float)fc.getSignificantPoint().getX(),
(float)fc.getSignificantPoint().getY());
}
