Graphic Card not shown for HP Pavilion 15-n027sl

Hi, I upgraded this laptop to Windows 8.1 , I've installed last AMD CCC Drivers but my games recognise only my internal graphic card (HD 8330) and not the HD 8670M, in permormance mode and in battery save mode. The PC recognises this card, but I don't know if I'm using it. Benchmarks shows only the internal one.

I grasp that only the HD8330 graphic card is being recognized after updating to Windows 8.1.
Are all your windows updates done?
Is it being seen in Device Manager?

You could also run The HP Support Assistant to aid with updates and resolving issues.
There is a bios update for your notebook also. Updating the BIOS.
I suggest contacting HP to aid with updating the bios, as it does have a potential to cause issues.

Windows 8 has a built in troubleshooter.
Press the Windows key + C to open charms
Type troubleshoot graphics in the search bar and press enter

New graphics card not working in old Pavilion elite

Hey, so i bought a new graphics card, ASUS strix 750ti oc ed., when i plug it in to my Pavilion elite hpe 531sc i get a blue screen with the hp logo and a text saying 'press esc for startup menu' or something like that. Pressing esc does nothing, pressing any other button does me nothing either.
I tried plugging in the old graphics card, it still sort of works except i cant really play games or get my resolution above 800x600, and install the drivers and all for the new graphics card. But the new graphics card still dont work when plugged back in.
So im at a loss here, is my desktop simply too old or something?

Graphics card not available for video output

Hi, I'm trying to use a consumer TV as a video monitor (additional to two computer monitors). I have an ATI Radeon 9200 graphics card with S-vid out for the purpose. I use a separate card for the two computer monitors. This setup works fine on the desktop and for Quicktime (present movie command), but Final Cut does not pick up the 9200 in the list of available devices for video playback in AV setup. I've tried using my Sony Handycam as a firewire to video converter instead and this has patchy results a best, but did work just. I'd much rather try to set up the ATI if possible.

Thank you Jerry, I was obviously given a poor recommendation to buy that card with the TV out if it was never going to work. I'm sure however, that I have used many systems with a dedicated TV out from a graphics card that did not involve using firewire. It seems that Apple don't think this is a very good idea either since they have stopped support for this (except on AGP cards) in later versions of Final Cut. Unfortunately I can't seem to find an up to date AGP with a video out. And I wish I could get that firewire trick working with my dv camera! Cheers, Matt

After intallation i cheched system device management, In display adapter my system shown only standard VGA adapter,

You notebook is not designed to run a 32 bit operating system and there are no graphics drivers for it from HP.
You will have to try these steps and if they don't work, I'm afraid you are out of luck...and will need to install a supported 64 bit operating system.
1. Install the Intel chipset driver and reboot.

Graphics Card not enabling while i install REDHAT LINUX 5.

I use HP PAVILLION MODEL DV5-1106AX. It contains AMD processor and ATI graphics card.While i try to install REDHAT LINUX SERVER 5 in my laptop, the graphics card not enabling.Why it happen?

The open source driver doesn't support my card yet. I tried installing it first since its the recommended driver, but Xorg couldn't detect any display at all.
It seems the PCI BusID is not being read from the xorg.conf file. There's auto detection everytime the PC boots.

If you can see an image on your screen then your graphics card (Intel HD Graphics 3000) integrated into your 13" machine is working just fine.
I'm not sure what you mean when you say that a video file isn't working... how exactly isn't it 'working' and what file format is it in?

The only way to replace the graphics adapter is to replace the entire motherboard.
Since I live in the middle of the United States, I do not know where you can take your notebook to get the motherboard replaced.

Graphics Card not working as it should?

Hi. i bought a pavilion dv7-4165dx laptop so i could play my favorite games on it, but today when i tried to run need for speed carbon with maximum settings the game started to lag a lot, then i apply medium settings and it still did the same thing until i put the settings on low i could play the game with no problems at all. The lag only happen when the game was at maximum or at medium settings, so my question is that how can a laptop that has a 4250 premium vision graphics card cannot play this game with maximum settings when my 2006 compaq presario can? The new laptop has: AMD Phenom II 850 triple-core processor, 2200MHz with 4 gb of dd3 ram and a 4250 premium vision graphics card.
P.S. I already update everything so updates are not the problem.

We can't compare apple with orange. Playing high grphices game will make machines hotter very quick. In your case, I believe the laptop gets hot and slow things down.

Radeon 6770M Graphics Card Not Operational on dv7-6199us

Computer: Pavilion dv7-6199us
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit
This laptop came with two on-board graphics cards: Mobile Intel(R) HD Graphics, and Radeon (TM) HD 6770M. I had only ever used the Mobile Intel graphics card, but it frequently refuses to run certain games and runs many others at a terrible framerate. A friend told me that the Radeon 6770M was actually the better of the two and that I should disable the Mobile Intel in preference of Radeon. When I did this, the screen decreased in resolution from 1600 to 1080, which tells me that this "HD" Radeon was never operational in the first place. We cleared the Pavilion of AMD and ATI folders, then spent a whole afternoon and evening downloading and installing drivers for the Radeon, with no result but a wasted day. The drivers on HP Support (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5173... either give an error message saying it fails (for C++ 10 of all things) or that the computer does not meet the minimum requirements. Device Manager gives indications that the driver is not operational or did not install properly. I have never touched the Radeon graphics card in the two years since I bought it. I would like to get Radeon functional. Can somebody please help me?

Broken graphics card affecting motherboard of HP Pavilion Entertainment PC SD*MS/Pro*MMC*XD

Hi guys,
I need help with this: my laptop broke two weeks ago. After having a technician look at it I was told the problem could easily be fixed my HP.
Basically he said my graphics card broke and it affected the motherboard, he said this was something easy to fix and that I could send it to HP to be fixed.
When I switch the lap top on, the screen is blank and it beeps 3 times. Apparently there's nothing else wrong with it except for this. Prior to this happening my screen went funny for about 2 weeks until it 'died' one day.
The operating system installed is Windows XP.
No changes made to the system before this incident.

Please let me know where I can send it to and if this is free-of-charge since it's a recurring problem with some HP notebooks.

Dv9000 graphics card not working

I have had the pavilion dv9000 for 1 year and 7 months now, recently the graphics card has became faulty. When i start the laptop windows xp appears like it is in safe mode which is very annoying.
Wcode: dv9702ea
tried updated/ different drivers
system recovery
restored laptop to factory settings
none of these have worked.
I have heard that faulty graphics cards are common in these models and that there is extended warranty policy.
Having contacted hp they inform me my model does not fall in this category. having paid £500 for this laptop and not used it excessivly I am very dissapointed. Any help or guidance is appreciated,

I think you have pretty well figured out the problem. The motherboard can be repaired or replaced are about all your options.
Please post back if you want some suggestions on how to go about having either done. You are looking at a $150-300 repair and you might want to consider a new laptop because neither option is going to provide you with a good-as-new reliable solution.
