Graphic Card Question - Do I Have the Wrong One?

I just got my new Pavilion dv7 less then 2 weeks ago. It was just today though that as I was checking around to see how well my laptop could play some games, I find that what I think is the wrong graphic card in my laptop. On the box it says I should have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470, but when I type dxdiag into Run, it says I have an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator. I'm new to all this, so does my laptop have the wrong graphic card?
Because according to all this and the System Requirements Lab website, my new laptop is unable to play some games my old laptop could, which had an ATI HD 3200. I'm assuming the HD 5470 should run better, yet it's the one thing keeping me from running many games. Any help at all would be appreciated.

Hey There, what it seems like to me, is you need to download your video drivers from the website. Just go to the Support & Drivers page, put in your product, and download/install the video driver. And That should take care of your issue.

I move the one on my desktop (wrong file) into the solitarie file and was asked if I wanted to replace the graphics file in the solitarie folder (the correct one). I said yes accidently and then remembered that I had made a mistake. If I use undo, it only move the wrong file back to the desktop. Is there an undo of replace?

Sorry, but's that's why you get the warning. "Replace" means just that - the new file over-writes the old one. There is no undo.

When I open a file from Camera Raw in PS this is smaller than the screen so I double-click with the tool "hand" to fit on the screen, but the picture loses sharpness and becomes blurry. If you magnify the image even only slightly with the tool "zoom" the picture comes back clear. In Camera Raw instead is always sharp. I solve the problem by turning off the graphics card in PS but often use plugin that need the graphics card otherwise the processing time is much longer. I ask for help.

You won't be able to change it until you can answer 2 of your questions - you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the page that you posted from to update your rescue email address for potential future use.

I don't seem to have a 7 digit number on file anywhere.

Thanks again Tyler. The problem comes up when I try to log into Outlook. Microsoft asks to send my security code to a phone number which is not mine and I cannot find a way to change the number. Without an updated or recovery of my existing code, I am always mumbling around the questions and just keep retrying to log on until I can. Any thoughts?

Imac graphics card question

I want to get a new iMac intel computer but im not sure if i should get the 17' or the 20'.
I play the game world of warcraft alot and i was wondering if i got the 17' (which comes with a ATI Radeon X1600/128MB VRAM) would it make a big difference compared to the 20' ( which can be upgraded to ATI Radeon X1600/256MB VRAM)?
and if it does can i upgrade the 17' to a ATI Radeon X1600/256MB VRAM without going though apple (since they dont offer it though the customize page)?

I cannot answer your first question, but on your second, no, you cannot upgrade the processor, either through Apple or elsewhere. The graphics card is a chip on the main board, and therefore cannot be upgraded or replaced. The only way to get 256MB of graphics memory is to purchase the 20" model.

I am getting messages that I can't download and read .pdf files since I have the wrong Adobe reader. I know about their security disasters of course, but I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader from the Adobe web site and I have other ,pdf file readers as well, and for some reason they won't work either. I have 5 computers running top end processors and RAM. By this I mean I have one, this one which I am using that has an AMD Phenom Black 3.2 Quad-core with 8 GBs of Corsair top DDR2 RAM, my other two AMD have either an Athlon II triple core with 4 GBs of DDR2 Corsair RAM, one with the Phenom X4 965 3.4 GHz Quad-core with 8 GBs of their best DDR2 RAM, and two Intels with the i7 920 Processors using the triple channel 1366 socket processors and one with 8 GBs of low latency DDR3 RAM and the other with 4 GBs of the same RAM. I am getting the message on this one, which has a fresh install of XP Pro X64 operating system, as do the other 4 as well. I have run Avast Business Pro Anti-virus on this one, which I am getting the message on with a single result which I deleted, and also both Spybot Search and Destroy, which came back clean as well as Malwarebytes Antimalware, which got a lot of tracing cookies now removed, and SuperAntiSpware which also found a few cookies also now deleted. Can you tell me what I need to do to get these files to show as .pdf files rather than as a clean blank page. One other issue is that I wish to know how to turn off my downloads so they are saved and Mozilla will give me the option of returning them instead of me losing them all together as it does now. In Mail Preferences/Accounts/each GMail account, set up the SMTP Outgoing Server for each account separately, going into SMTP name/edit/Advanced and specify the Username of each account. The Outgoing servers must be two different servers, authenticated by the Username and Password of each.
Otherwise, the GMail SMTP server will change the from address to that of the account where the SMTP server was setup.

HELP!! I had two libraries in iPhoto, Photos imported the wrong one, and now I have lost 10,000 photos. How can I get them back??

I originally had two libraries in iPhoto, my wife and I share two iMacs at different locations but we wanted to share the photos and it was set up this way Apple Geniuses at the store I have no idea why. Anyway, I updated to OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.3 with the new 'photos' app. It asked me to choose one of the libraries and evidently I assume I must have chosen the wrong one. It only imported 322 random photos, not the 10,000+ we had in iPhoto. I can no longer find these photos or the other library anywhere, it appears to have been deleted. I have tried 'alt' clicking the icon which used to open a 'choose library' box, but this no longer works in photos or iPhoto. I have no idea where it has gone and it contains precious memories over the years including the birth of our children. Can someone please help???

Since you are sharing it between two Macs, is the library on an external drive or a NAS, or another remotely mounted volume?
If the library is not on a directly connected disk, formatted MacOS Extended, move the original iPhoto Library to a directly connected, correctly disk.
And the try first the iPhoto Library First Aid Tools on that library. Repair the permissions, and repair the database in iPhoto. Then try to migrate again to Photos.
To repair hold down the alt/option and the command key simultaneously while double clicking the iPhoto Library to launch the iPhoto Library First Aid tools. Hold down both keys firmly and long enough, until the First Aid panel will appear.
The select "Repair Permissions". And then repeat, but select "Repair Database"
But make a current backup of your iPhoto Library before you try this.
