Graphic creator confused no longer!

So I downloaded and installed the trial for Photoshop 6 for mac and attempted to create items, at least on a basic level, like I did with cs2 on the pc that died last week. I AM able to do what I need with Photoshop 6! Yay me! Worries are over and I can get back to work.
I just wanted to post in case anyone else with this dilemma needed input. The Full Edit option in Photoshop 6 is NOT like CS2 (or CS3 for that matter) but it WILL allow me to create items of my own for templates and webpages with text, textures, shapes, etc. Which is just what I need. I know I never used CS2 to it's full potential.
I did pick up the Photoshop 6 from the store today as it came in so I'm all set. Thanks any and everyone who input in the other thread!

There's a couple of things i could suggest:
1. Install windows using Bootcamp in your settings panel: this would give you full use of CS2, however does require a windows license. Both windows XP and Vista are compatible with Bootcamp. plenty of info on this is here http://www.apple.com/uk/support/bootcamp/
2. another option if you are looking for a fairly high end package like photoshop is you could try Aperture. this is made by apple and is plenty powerful (and cheaper than Photoshop CS3). Whether it does everything you need tho i honestly couldn't say as i'm not a graphic designer.

Graphic creator confused

I just moved from a pc to Mac. I used CS2 for all my template and design creations. I also had Photoshop 3, which had some basic options in Standard mode but I didn't use it because I had cs2.
When I purchased the mac, I also purchased Photoshop 6, which I should be able to pick up tomorrow. I cannot afford to buy the cs3 for mac and I understand that either the cs2 I had on the p pc is not compatible with mac OR it won't work on Mac period. I don't know yet if photoshop 6 has the standard editing version.
Is there an apple/mac made design program LIKE the CS family? I looked at everything but am confused. Even cs3 doesn't say specifically it can do what I used cs2 for.

Forgot to mention that I do have the iWork program that came with the mac as a promotional thing. Have not yet installed it. This is about day 2 with the Mac.

Roxio Creator 2009 No Longer Works

I am using Vista 32 bit O/S with all the patches.
When I upgraded to the latest Desktop version (version 96) of the software recently, I found that my Roxio Creator 2009 no longer works. I can't even open the application up. When I go to start the Roxio software, I just get a message that "Roxio Creator has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
Any suggestions for getting my Roxio Creator software to function again?

What does this have to do with Blackberry?
Before the upgrade, it worked. After the upgrade, it doesn't work. That's what it has to do with BlackBerry.

Not to my knowledge, although I am not certain. I tried to avoid installing the Roxio Media Manager. I just see on my Desktop software:
- Applications
- Organizer
- Media Sync
- Music
- Pictures
- Videos
When I go About BlackBerry Desktop Software and View details on installed components, I don't see anything related to Roxio.
Where do I check to be sure?
If so, that does interfere with other installations of Roxio. You'll need to uninstall Roxio Media manager and reinstall your othe Roxio software.
Again, I don't believe that I loaded Roxio Media Manager. I am not sure where to check.
If required, how do I uninstall Roxio Media Manager from BlackBerry new desktop software?

If you tell us that you are "editing a photo" that would seem that you are in Photoshop Elements. We still do not know which version. So, I am assuming that you mean Photoshop Elements 12, the latest version. Premiere Elements is a video editor not a photo editor like Photoshop Elements so that is how I made that assumption.
You are in the wrong forum if you are asking a Photoshop Elements question. But, let us see if we can help before your thread gets transferred to Photoshop Elements Forum by a moderator.
From what you wrote "some of the graphics are no longer available". Which specific graphics are missing from the Photoshop Elements 12 CONTENT that you had before in another earlier version? Do you have that earlier version still either on or off your computer with Photoshop Elements 12?
If you are seeing "some graphics" and are in Photoshop Elements 12, then you are in the Expert workspace, not the Quick workspace. So that is good. From what you wrote before, it sounded like ALL the graphics were gone. Now you clarify and say "some".
Photoshop Elements has a large collection of Content with lots of categories and choices. So, please me specific in your answers so that we can help you. That Content does have a category named Graphics as well as a lot others.
I think that I can help you with this situation, but the details are extremely important.
Lots of words above, but we can narrow it down
a. What version of Photoshop Elements are you editing your photo in?
b. What version of Photoshop Elements did you have before that which had more Content (graphics)?

Graphics Driver Confusion - BSOD HP Pavilion dv9500

My wife has a 32 bit Vista laptop whose service tage translates into a dv9657cl. A few days ago she started getting seemingly random BSODs. When I got a chance to see it, it referenced file nvlddmkm.sys with a stop code of 0x116.
It seemed like a display driver problem so I did a Google search on the error, was taken to an NVIDIA website were I downloaded and installed the latest GeForce driver. I rebooted and gave the laptop to my wife. I felt very good about myself.
A few hours later she gave it back. Trying to watch some video from Facebook gave her the same BSOD error. I went to the HP Driver page, and was prompted to Scan your system for out-of-date and missing drivers and software. Seemed easy enough although I was told I needed some additional software for HP to do the scan. OK. I downloaded some framework software and assumed I would get a scan result.
I did not. Instead it translated my dv9500 to dv9657cl and wanted to know if I needed drivers or to report a problem. Reporting a problem took me to screens that addressed specific error conditions, none of which were the nvlddmkm.sys problem I was encountering. Choosing drivers took me to a page for my laptop and OS. The graphics drivers expanded into 3 choices , each of them saying something to the effect that each selection contained the video driver for the supported notebook models and operating systems.
What? So not only am I not getting a scan result showing me my outdated drivers, but now I have to guess which driver to download. Since I've already given HP my model number and OS, shouldn't they be able to tell me what graphics driver I need?
And what's the scoop on that Scan my system for outdated drivers debacle?

Thank you for your query, I will do my best to assist you!
Your wife was getting random Blue screens. When you had a chance to check the notebook it referenced this error "e nvlddmkm.sys with a stop code of 0x116. This does seem to indicate a driver error.
I am unsure why the HP scan you system for out of date and missing drivers and software did not work. I am unable to explain why it failed or why the incorrect product was show.
HP does not recommend using drivers from the manufacturer's sites as they have not been tested on your system. The ones listed on the HP driver download page are tested and may have been modified to perform correctly with your notebook.

I suggest you run the HP Support Assistant to aid with HP updates and resolving issue. The HP support assistant will also list your computer and its exact model under system information to confirm that it is a 9657cl as you stated in the first line of your post. That would also be why the auto scan detected it as such.
If the service tag and the HP support assistant states it is a DV9657cl then that must be what you have. Here is the HP Pavilion dv9657cl product specifications page so you can compare the product numbers to confirm this.
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
As HP produces many models of the same for different regions. it may list more then one driver for your unit. This is to cover all of them. You would need to select the correct one for the specific device in your system or run an automated tool to select it for you. ( HP Support Assistant)
If you input one model and OS and it detected a different model it may have confused the scan for drivers option.

If you're running Windows 7 or later, Windows should automatically allocate up to 1.5GB of system RAM to the integrated graphics.

Reset Clearing am Confusing for long time?

Dear Masters,
The credited amount gets Reset cleared and the whole amount (at times partial amounts)get debited thereby causing OUTSTANDING in the next invoice. In few cases, the amount gets automatically cleared. I am confusing,Could you please explain me process and solve my problem.

Why is my graphic style taking so long to load?

The graphic style in question contains, a Transform, Add, and Multiply Opacity. I have a high quality graphic card, so I know that's not the problem. On shapes it works really fast, but when I use it on type no matter if its in the text area or if the type is expanded the loading times are still extremely slow. Any help would be appreciated.

We know nothing. you have not provided any exact technical details about your system nor the document. We don't even know your AI version. Unless you use AI CC 2014, hardware-acceleration in AI is irrelevant since it doesn't exist in older versions, so I'm not sure what your comment about graphics card is supposed to make us think...

Creator codes no longer supported

I did not update to 10.6 because of my esata pci card not being supported. I'm glad I waited because I just learned Apple did away with Creator Codes. I have tens of thousands of images on my MacPro. Some jpgs are set to open with Preview because I am "done" with them. Some are set to open with Photoshop (default). A few are only used in Final Cut Pro and are set to open that program. I'd go bat-guano crazy if every jpg I had opened with Preview or if I had to tell the OS that every jpg had to open in Photoshop and then had to manually change those that I wanted to open in Preview one at a time. Leaving legacy support for Creator Codes would not caused a problem. I'm surprised that others have not complained more loudly. If they have, I haven't found the threads. For me personally, this seems huge. At the very least it destroys my ability to double click on a file in the same manner I have for years. Perhaps I'd put up with dragging every file I wanted to open with a non-standard app to an icon, but what a pain in the rear. If I create a file with a program I want it to open with that program. Period. Thoughts on this?

My iTunes library music has been completely deleted and I can no longer add or remove music on my Iphone 4 from iTunes

So today when I plugged in my iphone 4 to my laptop I discovered that all my music had been deleted from my library. So then when I would download my music again and try adding music to my phone it wouldn't do it. I would drag a song over to the "on this phone" and onto "my iphone" where Im suppose to add music but it would not light up indicating that the song couldn't be added. So what I try to do next is sync what music I downloaded again into my library onto my phone and it seemed to have worked like that.
After that I tried deleting some music off of my phone and THAT wouldn't work either. I right clicked a song and discovered that there was no "delete" option. I tried it with all the other songs and it was all the same.

Is it possible to upgrade the motherboard/graphics in my dv7-4177nr?

When I first bought this laptop it had decent, not great, performance in regards to video game graphics capabilities. Requirements for video games are constantly evolving and my graphics card is no longer sufficient for new games. I was wondering if it is at all possible to upgrade the integrated graphics (ATI Radeon HD 5470, I believe) of my dv7-4177nr by purchasing a new motherboard. If so, what are some model numbers of compatible motherboards? I would really like to avoid the purchase of a new PC/laptop as this one is only about 1.5 years old I think.

Yes it is.... I own a dv7-4177nr myself and talked at length with HP... if you can find the right motherboard (oem) and don't mind doing the work yourself it is doable. Keep in mind you have to swap out the motherboard (mobo) with another because the gpu and sundry is built into the mobo and not detachable like a desktop setup. Also if all you want is a gpu upgrade and are lucky enough to have a PCI card slot there are several options that you can upgrade your gpu to a desktop gpu which eliminates the need to swap motherboards and just run a graphics card (gpu) for gaming or streaming purposes...

Is it possible to upgrade the graphics card with my HP Envy DV7 - 7332EA

I was hoping someone on here may be able to answer my question. I recently purchased a refurbished laptop from certain computer retailer, an HP Envy DV7-7332ea, it is an Intel i7, 16GB RAM and was supposed to come with a 2GB Nvidia GT635M. Long story short, said pc retailer did not tell me that the fault/refurbishment was with the graphics card and despite advertising it as being installed with the GT635M, it in fact had a shared Intel graphics card installed. Long story short after some truly horrific customer service - talking to my bedroom wall would have yielded the same level of responses - they have told me that the will not be fitting the correct graphics card - when pressed for an explanation or reason for this they have been unable to give me a technical explanation.
So, I'm assuming possibly the motherboard has been replaced as well which is preventing the graphics card from being upgraded. Now I realise that there could be numerous reasons this has happened, but I was hoping someone could answer me this.
Would the artchitecture of my laptop allow for a graphics card upgrade? If the motherboard has problems and these were resolved are the Envy range generally able to be upgraded?

Unfortunately, the only way to upgrade the graphics adapter is to replace the motherboard with one that has the better nVidia GPU.
Doing that would cost about as much as buying a new notebook with the graphics solution you wanted in the first place.

I no longer can send iMessages from my iPhone (iOS 6.0.1) to one of my contacts.

Started about a week ago. I can send them from my Mac, but not my phone. Other iPhone users are receiving iMessages from me. Just not this one person. I also note that in my contact info for her on my phone, I cannot select iPhone as her mobile device. Just "mobile". She has an iPhone. Very puzzled as to why this is occurring now. Any thoughts?

Try this. I don't know I it will help but it solved a similar issue I had a while back. In the messages conversation with this person tap the time at the top of your screen to scroll to the top of the page and tap Contact. Are the messages being sent to the phone number or the email?
In my situation they where being sent to their actual email account and therefore where not received. This was the fix
From the contact of this person scroll down and tap Send Message then select the phone number from the options that pop up. Send a message and then check the Message app. In my situation that created a second conversation with that person which went to their phone number. I delete the old conversation so as I didn't get confused.

P6NGM no longer boots after clearing CMOS?

Hi all, hope you can help me with this.
I got a new graphics card today (PoV 9800GT), I put it in my P6NGM (not exactly sure which version, uATX, it has VGA and DVI out, but no HDMI) and it didn't work, I would get the regular boot beeps but no signal. Onboard card was working fine, so I was scratching my head trying to figure it out
Thought I'd clear the CMOS to see if it made a difference, so I turned the PC off, moved the jumper over, left it a little while, turned it back on and... nothing. Fans kick up but I get no beeps and no signal even on the onboard card now.
Only thing I can think of is when I first bought the mobo I found out it doesn't support 45nm CPUs as standard, so my E8400 wouldn't work. I borrowed my brother's 65nm c2d, updated the bios and after that my 45nm chip worked fine. Can clearing the CMOS somehow revert the bios version or has this got nothing to do with it?

Yes there's a few models out there now that have this, mostly on 45nm dies. Zotac do a similar one too.

ITunes and easycd creator 5.0 don't work together

I have an older home built system and have always used easy cd creator 5.0 to burn mp3 cds. after installing iTunes on my system cd creator could no longer find my cd buner so the only way i could fix the problem was to remove iTunes and reinstall easy cd has this happened to anyone but me

I don't have the cash to upgrade my system. so buying a newer version of easy cd is not an option. the newest version of easy cd needs a much faster system than my old 1.3mhz its not worth paying 80 bucks to get it so iguess im out of luck oh well.

yes, the early versions of Easy CD Creator are pretty notorious for the sorts of Device Filter conflicts that can produce those symptoms. for example, see:

... how early is your 5.0.x? if you have an early enough version, you can start running into BSOD problems on an XP box. see:
