Graphic Frame can not be renamed

FM-11 and FM-12: In the Object Properties there is no more a field Name. Hence a graphic frame on the reference pages can not be checked for its name or the name can not be edited.
I have filed this as a bug.
The dialogue in FM-12 and FM-11:
In FM-10 there was the old dialogue still active which contained this information:

Klaus,
Actually you can, but it's not properly documented. When you select the Graphics Frame, it's name shows in the Status Bar. You are then supposed to click on the name in the Status bar to get the Frame Name window in order to change it. [There are other operations that also now have this non-intuitve user-be-damned approach.] Why it's not part of the Graphics Frame Properties is a mystery that was pointed out numerous times during the pre-release programs for 11 & 12 [but I guess it was too great of an effort to rectify something that was coded without the benefit of end-user input].

I no longer have an email address that was also my Apple ID. Can I still use the email address as my Apple ID?
Apple recommends you change your Apple ID to your current, working email address. This will not create another Apple ID, it will only change it to your working email address. See Changing the name you use for your Apple ID if you'd like more information.

  • Can not create workspace.xml OSX

Hello I just installed after effects CS5 trial on my Mac. Although it will unfortunatly not load. The installation process was fine, and I used adobe cleaner to remove my old CS4 after effects so there would be no issues.
When I go to open it I am gretted with an error message saying it can not rewtie/rename or create the file Workspaces.xml

What Mylenium suggested should work. But, if it doesn't you can also safely delete the entire preferences folder (Preferences/AdobeAfter Effects/10.0). When you restart After Effects, it will rebuild the preferences files to their default state.

    The whole issue is really mysterious. In my opinion there are two options;
Either your have used and tried to install a wrong graphic driver or there is something wrong with your GPU chip.
Are you 100% that you tired an right graphic driver from the Toshiba European driver page?
If yes, then I recommend contacting the ASP in your country because this could be really an hardware issue.
Furthermore I found you second posting in other thread

and I think more and more that this must be an graphic card issue.

  • How can we place an image in already created inline graphic frame?

    Hi,
    AIM::
To place an image in the inline graphic frame.
    OBSERVATION::
As i have analysed the snippet Runner,i came to know that it allows to load the placegun with the file(in my case image). but in order to place it,we need to click on the document..and then the image is placed at (0,0) of the page(I suppose Indesign does it automatically).
what is needed,is to place image in already created inline graphic frame. i have created a inline graphic frame at some position in the story, but now i required to place image in this created frame.

I have the same problem. Can you give me a short code sample for that.
I have an image and want to place it in the currently selected frame...

  • Dell Studio 17 Graphic Card is not performing well, Can I update the driver

I just purchased Dell Studio s17-169B. The graphic card in this laptop is Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD. However, when I check graphic driver through device manager, I have found that driver is for Mobile Intel 4 series express chipset family with version 7.15.10.1576. My question is: can I download Dell Studio 1737 Intel Mobile Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD Driver A03 to update my current gtaphic driver so that the graphic display can be improved? Otherwise, I may return this laptop back to Bestbuy. Thanks for your input.

    Define "not performing well"...
If you're playing 3D games, you will find that the 4500MHD is going to be lacking in general regardless of the driver installed.  Any Intel GMA series integrated graphics solution is going to be at the bottom of the barrel in terms of 3D performance.  In most cases, the only thing worse than a GMA series accelerator is an older GMA series accelerator.

I have a new ipad mini purhased in December 2013 for my father.  I want play the streamed photos on the ipad when the screen is locked.  Similar to what the ipad 2 using Picture Frame.  Unfortunately I can not find the picture frame app on this ioad mini.  Was this feature removed? If yes, are there alternative options?

I can't personally as I never really liked nor used the picture frame feature in iPad.  Just search in the App Store and read customer reviews and you'll likely find something you'll like.

  • I can not import videos frames to layers.

I can not import videos frames to layers. ( I do have QuickTime )

You may whant to look at your windows creash reports to see where CS4 is crashing, It may help you find a solution if there is one.
Photoshop is not designed as a video editor.  Video is more or less and add on.
Photoshop video support was also significantly enhances in CS6.  While there is still support for  menu File>Import>Video Frames to layers.  Its not the best way to get video into Photoshop.  Even dropping a quicktime file onto Photoshop is better.  I find the best way to get video into Photoshop is using the Video Timeline add media into.  Its quicker, You have better control of selecting the frames you want,  And you can turn a video timeline into layers and a frame animation if that is what you want to work on.
If you want to do video get a lost cost video editor like Premier Elements.  If you just want do do simple video editing spring for CS6 or subscribe to the cloud.  CS6 will set you back some $700 for Standard $1000 for extended.   Where $10 a month will get you the cloud. Where your get Photoshop Extended and can  also use LR.  I do not use LR or do video editing.  I get the cloud mostly for the improvements being made to ACR and ACR in Cloud Photoshop is a Filter in addition of being a Photoshop and Bridge Plug-in.
Frame Animations and video timeline can be save for web as animated  poor choice for video or large frame animation. They can also be rendered out as video.  Video file sized are much smaller then Animated GIF have better color and can contain audio as well. Here the 1920x1080 Gif file size was nearly 29MB  where the High Quality mp4 with audio was about 6MB.
View Screen capture in new tab or browser window the site scale screen captures very poorly at times.

  • Can not place any graphic in Illustrator CS6

I try to place a jpg or psd graphic inside a normal Illustrator document. Illustrator tells me the graph has no color profile (what is not correct - it has) but whatever option I choose nothing happens - no graphic is placed, I get no cursor to place the graphic. Or Illustrator just crashes. This used to work just fine in earlier version... I use CS6 cloud version.
    Any help greatly appreciated!
    Thanks.

I tried several color settings, I checked with the color tool if profiles are damaged but the ones I use did were not listed, I removed the preference files... nothing. Either Illustrator is just crashing or it says for every file that it has no profile but then just nothing further is happening.
The only way I found to get a picture into Illustrator is to place it within InDesign (that works normal) and then copy / paste it to Illustrator.
Maybe this is a Mountain Lion problem? I can not remember having those problems on Lion.

  • Satellite M60: can not install the newest driver for my graphic card

Can not install newest driver for my graphic card
    Satellite M60
    ATI MOBILITY RADEON X700

    Hello
First of all I really dont understand why you start two topics with the same theme. It is much better to have one topic with good content and interesting comments. Am I right? ;)
Anyway, in your case it is interesting that Toshiba use adapted drivers because of hardware protection. That means that graphic card will not be forced to run at the maximum level. Hardware cooling in notebooks is very problematic and high temperature can result with overheating or hardware damage. All hardware components are placed on small place. Graphic card produce a lot of warmness and it is not so good for all other hardware.
When you use non-Toshiba driver graphic card will be forced to run faster. Because of that every notebook manufacturers dont support usage of third part drivers. The fact is that hardware protection is priority.
I didnt make any experiments but according to some reports on this forum there is way how to install non-Toshiba graphic card driver.
Please check this forum and you will find many comments about that. One interesting topic is http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=18063&messageID=66186

  • Can not start frame 11

    dear all
i don't know what is wrong with my frame 11. until yesterday i had frame 10, 11 and 12 installed parallel on my win7 x64 machine. all of a sudden the creative cloud thingy came up and prompted me to login, etc. after that frame 10-12 didn't work anymore. i received the cryptic internal errors. happend already couple of times, i then ran the installers again and frame 10 & 12 worked after that. only frame 11 is still not functioning. i can start it, select wether structured or unstructred and that's it. it pops up quickly in the taskmanager but then disappears. latest updates are applied. deleting local maker.ini just brings the dialogue again. no effect after i made a decision. frame 11 refuses to start.
i then deleted all frames and cleansed the registry by hand (i know what i am doing!), tried to reinstall just frame 11 - no success.
now i start to wonder if my installer is corrupt somehow. can not find frame 11 or TCS4 anywhere to download. it's all gone.
any clues or hints are highly appreciated.
    thanks.
    chris.

According to any number of prior responses to questions like these, the answer is: "Call Adobe Support. Support calls regarding installation issues are free."

  • Windows 10 work around. Graphics issue. Can not get icon

This is not a question, but a solution: I am not sure if this has been posted yet. I have a 7 year old laptop that was running on Vista when I purchased it. a couple years later I was working for Staples and was able to get a free copy of Windows 7. I was frustrated when I found out that I could not get a updated graphic's driver and Microsoft said that my pc was not compatible. Frustrated that my laptop will soon be obsolete and that HP no longer supports it, I searched for a solution. I came across the article yesterday and downloaded and installed Windows 10 last night. The only problem so far was that I had to change the display settings and I get a error message at boot-up (that I can make go away). Outside of that, the pc runs fine and maybe now I'll get another 4 or 5 years out of it. Here is the article for those interested. pcadvisor.co.uk/how-to/windows/how-install-windows-10-now-upgrade-gwx-3575135/

For both of you, what connector are you using to connect the projector, VGA, DVI, TV etc?
One thing with the Intel integrated graphics card is that you need to have external displays attached while booting to get them recognized. But it seems you are both doing this as you see the Windows icon. Another important thing is to make sure you are not going over the max resolution for the external display. You need to use the Intel graphics selection in the system tray tool bar (down right of the screen) to set the right resolution. Note also that you can not boot with the MacBook(Air) lid closed as lid closed is not supported in Windows.
