Graphic Signatures in Mail

I've seen this discussed, but not solved. How do you add a logo (graphic) to your signature in mail? Dragging it below your name does NOT send it EXCEPT as an attachment which is worthless.
Surely Apple allows this!!??

Anything that is not text in an email message must be sent as an attachment. This is not an Apple issue, it is an email issue. All email programs must follow email protocols. But email programs vary in how they display received attachments. Some, like Mail, will display them inline when they can, and it might not always be obvious that it is an attachment. Some other email programs will not show the content of an attachment. If your correspondents are using an application that does not display your logo the way you would like, there is nothing Apple can do about that.

  • Graphic signature with Mail?

Im trying to apply a graphic for a signature so every mail has it attached with out having to paste it in every mail. I open the preferences and go to the signature tab and copy the giff graphic into the box and it appears on my email-the thing is not everyone can see it when they recieve the mail and it automatically changes the graphic to a Tiff file...why is this? Any help is much appreciatted. Thanks

Make sure you send 'Windows friendly' attachments.
Edit menu/Attachments- select windows friendly option.
That should help, but not always I have found.

  • I want to add a graphic signature in mail that contains hyperlinks.  Can this be done?

I've created an e mail footer/signature in Illustrator, chooped it up into slices, inserted slices into the signature window within Mail and have added links to some of these slices.
But that's where things go wrong.  The slices are all over the show, and the hyperlinks do not work.  This also have to work accross Mac and PC platforms which is proving impossible and i'm just about at a loss.
Has anyone done this before and have any tips as to how to achieve a professional looking e mail signature that can contain hyperlinks.
    THANKS

  • How to install a graphic signature in Mail

I've upgraded to Yosemite and want to use Mail 8. My email accounts are migrated, including one which is an app account. However, when I try to attach a signature that I've saved as a JPEG (Mail-Preferences-Signatures), it doesn't work. it works fine within Thunderbird, why doesn't it work in Mail 8? I so want it to. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • How can I save a screenshot as a jpg? I want to create a signature using a jpg in Thnderbird as you can't have graphics as signatures using Mail

I am findinit difficult to rely on Mail so have used Thunderbird so that I can add screenshots and use different fonts in my email messages but iI now can't find a compatible programme to use to create jpgs from sreenshots which I used to be able to do with Irfanview and Photfiltre but i dont htink I can use these with a Mac. I have been told Xee is possible but will it do what I want and if so how?

Not sure what you mean by not being able to use graphics as part of your signature in Mail. I use them all the time.
Or are you referring to the recipients not being able to see the graphic when they receive the email?
You need to set Mail's Composing preferences to use Rich Text rather than plain text:

  • My image in my email signature in Mail is resizing and becomes a lot smaller. According to the Graphic Designer, it's a Mail problem? Help!

I have a business account and use a signature in Mail. Currently I copy and paste the words from a .docx and then copy and paste the image into the signature. I've just changed my picture and at first when I started typing an email and hit 'enter' the image would resize to smaller (about half the size). Some test emails to a bigpond email showed that the picture was showing up as an X.
I readded the picture and in the signature in Preferences, it seemed the right size. But when I send a test email, the image is back to being small again.
This is really frustrating me - I hope someone can help!

check that pictures in mail are of actual size

  • How can you put an Animated Signature in Mail...

Is it possible to add an animated signature to Mail.
I have read if you overwrite an existing signature residing in the ~/Library/Mail/Signatures folder as a .webarchive file it will work.
I have an animation I have built in Photoshop and saved as an animated gif in the Save for Web command. I understand that you need to open this gif in Apple TextEdit and save as an .html file which I can only do if I convert to rich text. Then I need to open the html in Safari and save as a .webarchive which I have done but opening in Safari just gives me all the html code and saving as a webarchive doesn't change this to the animation.
Then you need to replace the name of the file with name of an existing "fake" signature from the Mail Signatures folder. Which I have done but when I've restarted Mail and tested it, I only get the code in my signature not the animation.
I can figure where I've gone wrong.
    Can anyone help?

    Ok, I explain:
Suppose you have a a family with the following members:
    - Father
    - Mother
    and 5 children : a, b, c, d and e.
So should be able to create a group called "family" composed of FM+a+b+c+de
Suppose some of the children (let's say: abc) are member of a swimming club that has weekly different training sessions and some now and then participates to inter-club swimming competitions. So all the activities of swimming club are common for a, b and c and should appear in the agenda of each of them.
Suppose the father and the mother are following dance courses. The same remark is valid here; all the activities of the dance courses should appear in both the agenda's of the father and the mother.
Suppose the following persons are member of a tennis club (with training hours and also some now and then competition): Motherc+de. The same remark is still valid all the members of the family that are member of the tennis club should see the activities of the tennis club in their own agenda.
Suppose a number of family members are member of some big band let's say:
    fathera+c+de.
And here is still always the same remark valid; all the members are supposed to be present at the repetition sessions of this big band and at its public performances.
To resume: we should be able to create for each of the different clubs a different group with the right members so that as you introduce a club activity you have to do this only once and this activity should then appear in the agenda of each of the club members.
On the other hand everything (all the persons and all their activities together) should also be visible in a global common agenda of the complete family and also in complete agenda of a selection of a number of family members.

Try to disable option to Automatically detect and maintain account settings:
Close Mail Preferences window and Save settings if you are prompt to do that. Then open Mail Preferences window again and check if this time you can change that pop address.

  • Signature in Mail

I have set up my signature in Mail Preferences. It works fine; whenever I start a new message, the signature is placed on the message. My question is this: is it possible to set up a signature that will appear when I "Reply" or "Reply All"? I can't find any way in Preferences, Signature to do that. As I'm sure most people do, I have to reply to many messages and would like the signature to appear on them as well as on my original new messages. Thanks in advance.

    Mine does it fine.
Make sure you have it showing up "above quoted text" in signature preferences, otherwise it will show up under the quoted text. Also, if you are using more than one mail account, make sure each is using the appropriate signature.

  • Signature in Mail does not open and page gets frozen?

Signature in Mail doesn't open and whenever I try to open it, the page gets frozen disallowing any movement. Re-setting has been done several times but withou success. I have iPad 2 with iOS 7 (updated).  I want to avoid Restoring the iPad as in this case I suspect all my data wiii get lost. Thanks for helping.

What signature in mail are you talking about? If you use the built in signatures in the settings, then I assume that you can't send mail at all if the page freezes every time that you try to write an email. When you tap the new email icon, and the window pop up, your signature is already at the bottom of the email screen.
So then you are saying that you cannot send emails correct? And you can restore an iPad without losing a thing, of you do it properly. I have restored several devices a few time and I never lost anything.

  • Multiple signatures in Mail

The instructions on how to create multiple signatures in Mail seems very straight forward. However, I can only get one signature to appear. I have created 2 signatures for two separate accounts. Yet Signature #1 always dominates and #2 never appears as a pulldown option when composing mail. Why isn't the #2 signature activating??

Signatures must be created for each account. If you create one sig in one account and a second in the other account, then each account has only one signature. You need to create the signatures you want independently in each account.

  • Signatures in Mail

I'm trying to set up my signature in Mail.  Creating it is fine but I want to change it for replies and forwards, but there doesn't seem to be a differentiatior, either you use a signature or you don't.  Is this correct?

Help seems to indicate this is possible using All Signatures:

  • Signatures in mail not showing

The dropdown for inserting signatures in Mail OSX 10.9.5 has disappeared and Signatures in Preferences have been deleted.
Anybody know what has happened and how I restore these??
The signatures folder in the Mail folder is still there and files are present: can these be imported somehow??
    Many thanks

    Hello,
You say "can see them on the account", but please clarify whether after creating a Signature, you first acted to associate it with one particular account? Creation of a Signature without first choosing an account, puts them in location that is not immediately associated with any actual email account. That is done in an additional step, by dragging the Signature to the desired account -- see:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mail/2.0/en/ml454.html
in some ways the older version of the support document may be clearer, depending where you are in the creation process -- see:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61446
More info, and questions as needed.
