Graphical Reports

Hi Gurus,
                    I have created a summarised report.I want to create a graphical report for the same.Since my server has no IGS(Internet graphical server)installed I am following an alternative option to create the same.First I have created a separate query for summarised report with unchecking the option of hide repeated key values and executed the query.After executing the query I have right click on it and changed the properites.Ie In the interaction tab I have checked the option refresh query while opening work book and saved the query as new work book.Then I have inserted the graph in that excel and saved it as existing work book.
                     When I tried to open the work book it is trying to refresh the query,it will ask for the variables,but after entering the variables one pop up comes saying retrieving data from bw server and then the execution stops then and there.The system will hang.I have tried this many times but the same result.Every time I need to disconnect from BW server and open the work book again.What could be the reason?Can anyone plz help me on this?
                                Is there any other way to create graphical reports?If I have installed IGS on my server what are the steps to create the graphical report?

I just want to know why this is taking too much of time to get refreshed?Is it because that I have inserted graph or any server problem or due to the absence of IGS.Is there anything that i have missed out while creating that graphical report?

When you create a .jsp report, Reports inserts an XML report definition in the <rw:objects> tag. This is why it appears to need an XML parser before it can open up a .jsp file.
You could try just taking this XML and saving it as a .xml file (ie: remove everything from the .jsp except the content of the <rw:objects> tag). This would at least tell you if the problem is in the XML of the JSP section of the file.
If you can open up the contents of the xml report then you could try opening the .jsp file up in JDeveloper and see if there are any inconsistencies in the file - ie: unmatched tags.
If you get an "unable to start the XML parser" error trying to open up the xml file, try creating a simple report and saving and loading to XML.

Exporting graphical report using FM GFW_PRES_SHOW

I'm creating a graphical report using the FM 'GFW_PRES_SHOW',
I want to download this graphical report, but there is parameter(CONTENT) used in this FM to export the output, can any one help how to populate the values to this parameter so that i can down load my graphical output.

Problem in export Number field into graphical reports

I have a custom field Number1.
I put a decimal number (italian version) 0,5
I use Number1 inside Cost1...to make some calculations, so the number format I see that is correct.
I use Number1 as dimension into a graphical report (to excel file).
Into the pivot of the excel the Number1 has the "," character converted to a underscore "_"
So 0,5 become 0_5
0,1 become 0_1
I need the correct format into excel because I have to do other calculations.

How do you do your Excel export? Saving the file in a XLS format or creating a visual report?
A workaround would be to write a simple macro in your Excel file:
Sub test()
Cells.Replace What:="_", Replacement:=",", LookAt:=xlPart, SearchOrder _
:=xlByRows, MatchCase:=False, SearchFormat:=False, ReplaceFormat:=False
End Sub
But before trying this, let's try to debug your export.

Dear All,
I have two queries in OPM quality module.
1.Is there any seeded graphical report available in OPM quality module?
2.Is there anything like Collection plans of collecting multiple elements and doing an analysis based on the Collected elements in OPM quality?
We need to map these two requirements for a OPM customer.

Ressource Problem: Export with graphical reports from projects with integrated sub-projects

Hi all,
i have the following problem with the exported data of the graphical reports possibility.
Expected output:
OLAP Cube with processes and ressources
Setup:
Project Server 2010 with Enterprise ressource pool
One main project with 6 integrated sub-projects
Every ressource is assigned to just one sub-project or the main project
Problem:
The data (work and cost) in the OLAP Cube exported from the main project is 7 times (some reports 49 times) higher than the data in the main project
Tested scenarios:
Export just processes -> data is correct
Export just ressources -> data is 7 times higher
Generate another main project with 2 sub-projects and no ressources in the main project - Export of processes and ressources -> data is 2 times higher
Because of the tested scenarios I expect that this is a problem caused by ressources and integrated sub-projects.
I hope that this community is able to help me to solve this problem.

Using the "Baseline work report", I can't reproduce your issue:
I have 1 task in each project (2 projects) with a resource assigned on each task (80hrs). The report correctly shows me 160 hrs.
Which Project 2010 SP and CU do you have? I'd suggest you to install the
latest version and see if it helps.

Graphical Report

My users are not very tech-savvy and they do not like the traditional grid looking report that is standard reporting (IR or classic) in APEX. I'd like to create a more graphical display of the data with column data displayed along with an icon in more of a cell or box layout as opposed to a record-per-row traditional layout.
The shop.oracle.com site has some good examples of what I mean by this:

Under the "Featured Products" section of this page, is this done through an Icon View in an IR ?
I'm hoping that someone can give me some insight to get me started conceptually on this. I'm not even sure where to begin to create a dynamically generated graphical report in APEX.

I guess that "Featured Products" is list region. Under that there is IR.
If you install Sample application you can see examples of interactive report icon and detail view e.g. on page 3

Problems in create graphical report from Oracle FSG xml output using BIP

We are trying to create graphical reports from Oracle Financial Statement Generator (FSG) xml output. I personally have extensive exposure working with XML (BI) Publisher but until recently I have never tried to use the BIP charting wizard to create graphical reports from FSG xml output out of EBS 11i/R12.
I created an SR with Oracle but they had to create an enhancement request for this issue. Does anyone know or have any idea on how we can accomplish this. The charting wizard pops up but the xml tags available do not make any sense.

WebAnalysis graphics report doesn't show decimals in correct way

I have reports with graphics:
The problem is that when I change the graphic properties to show only 2 decimals in the axis, the report still show 3 decimals. If i change to 5 decimals, it works, but when I change it back again to show 2 decimals, it show 3 again.
The format is Numeric
I tried on different machines, but the problem persist
Any idea?

Operation wise Production Scheduling Graphical Report

Dear Expert ,
I have multiple production orders and each operations have schedule start date and finsihe date .My client wants a graphical bar chart or grarate chart of production oreds , operations schedule based on vaious work centers after doing capacity leveling in CM21 graphical view so that every week we can production manager can send the concern people those production schedule to SFC.
Is there any functionality or SAP reporting tools are available in this requirement ? I have tried in CM21 --print - chart2 which is giving me order pool before operation despatch ..I am not able to get the same chart2 after order-operation dispatch .

I did not able to find out anY sap standard report of this requirement .
How ever , I have developed an functional specification to make a custom report based on COOIS and CM21.User will carry out work centre , operation and production order wise scheduling(Operation dispatch , overload checking and scheduling ) in CM21 and same will be captured in custom developed report based on COOIS.This can have an graphical chat in PDF or excell as per business requirement to send the concern production department as reference .
As there is client policy of data protection , I am not able to share details about this report .

Graphical Report - PLEASE HELP

I have created 3 graphical charts in a Report using Reports 6.0.8 The graphical charts show up correctly in desktop. I notice a small xwindow which pops up also( which doesnt come up with other reports).
But when I move this report to Web Server and try to access using a browser it doesnt show up. Our Webserver has Exceed running and the DISPLAY is set to the server and other PDF reports are showing up correctly in the browser. So no problem with DISPLAY.
Any Takers?? Please respond quickly.
Anybody who has used graphical charts in the report can please help me with the server/desktop configuration might also be helpful.
